For a 4 star hotel and restaurant you should do something extra. The kitchen is very poor and not cheap. In the hotel room you get 2 coffee cups per stay! You read that right, 2 cups even if you stay a week. If you want more coffee cups, you can buy them for 50 cents each at the reception. Hotel could be called the 'thrift of Ermelo'. Tip: Hotel Zuiderduin in Egmond aan Zee. Also a sauna but many times better !!

Overnight and entire offer unbeatable for this price. WiFi on the entire site, wellness area very nice, unfortunately everything could use a little more care (cleaning irregularly, lots of rust and mold in small areas in the spa area)
But will definitely come back.

Surprisingly bad. It seemed as if the staff and management had never heard of hospitality. Do you have a complaint? Too bad. "Sorry" is all you get to hear, followed by a lame excuse for disappointment again. Furthermore, no account was taken of Corona measures at all, except that the receptionist tells us on arrival that the wellness is fully booked for the rest of the weekend. Let that be exactly the reason that you drove all the way to Ermelo .. Beautiful pictures on the website, but dated inside. Nice setting, but simply a bad hotel. Definitely not recommended.

Fantastic hotel. Nice rooms and very good and tasty dinner enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent. Very helpful and friendly staff.

We had an overnight stay with our children and chose this hotel because of the wellness. The massage and the facial were wonderful. Unfortunately we are quite disappointed in the sauna. I had called ahead to ask if you could keep your bathing suit on. This was not the case, which was not a problem for us. Better even. We sat in the sauna and other hotel guests come in swimwear, they looked at us strangely. We felt very embarrassed. Later more came, they also kept their swimwear on while it is clearly stated. Children (no older than 12) were in the whirlpool (which unfortunately was also very cold). We reported it to the reception. Here they said we could have called. Very handy, if you are not dressed ..... A flop for us, while the sauna area looked good. We had hoped for an hour of relaxation. In addition, the pool was also not pleasant. Rather on the cold side. We ended up fifteen minutes later. The annoying thing was that we saw these people again at dinner and at breakfast. Very uncomfortable. The hotel is also OK. But the room that we had is in need of some updating. Maybe other, more expensive rooms look better.

Hotel needs renovation, Its not what you see online. The first time in my life I have slept in a Junior Suite with two separate beds, price and quality don't combine at all. You shouldn't call the room 147 a Junior Suite.

Amazing location near a forrest, amazing rooms and really good service

We had an excellent stay with our family (age children 5 and 8 years). Nice hotel along the edge of the forest, made use of excellent facilities such as the swimming pool, wellness, bowling alley and billiards. Nice room (4 persons) with good beds, bathroom and TV. Finally, very tasty food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and friendly staff. To be repeated! Reiber family

Excellent hotel, good sauna facilities and indoor swimming pool, decent steam cabin. They also have a good restaurant on the premises. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet.

I think this is one of the nicest hotels in Nedeland, the construction of the surrounding garden is a wonderful example of garden architecture, but everything inside is also of great class, wifi works great, also with t-mobile!

Nice staff & great, out of the way, setting for this hotel. The rooms are basic, but clean & neat. Very good gym for a hotel,&the surrounding forest has a lot of good walks & mountain biking trails. Some nice local beers on tap in the restaurant.

Been here with my wife for 2 nights. We thought we were doing a bit more luxury and instead of the standard room, we grabbed a junior suite, but this was a disappointment. The bed was much too soft and creaked with every movement. The bathroom was 2 by 1.5 meters. If you then check that there was a bath, toilet and sink in this room, you understand that there was little room to stand, especially with his 2 and. We had 2 bathrobes of which 1 had a hole, the same with 2 towels. The pool looked nice but the water was too cold. Furthermore, it was a great hotel with a good restaurant, friendly staff, a nice appearance, beautifully situated in nature, very suitable environment for cycling and walking

Large hotel with well-known hotel elements. More businesslike than cozy and visible in various places that has been around for a longer time. For example, damage to the room, wear and tear on seats in the hall. Colleague suffered from audible sewage when a shower or toilet was used elsewhere. Staff great, good breakfast.

Kwaliteit vd bedden en kussens kwam slaapcomfort helaas niet ten goede. Ook was 1 vd 3 sauna's defect.

Very neat room, what is striking is that there is no minibar. Staff is very professional and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good. Because we had a package from travelbird we were able to make a choice on a modified map. The choice was limited but the food was very tasty. The breakfast was very extensive, from an English breakfast to Frisian sugar bread. The breakfast room was very busy but this was managed by the staff in the right direction. The food items were also refilled on time.

Location and surroundings beautiful rooms may need to be renovated.

Beautiful location. Luxury room was a bit too small to have the designation of luxury. Also in order: dinner, service and the like.

The decor is somewhat dated. And inside we were lost a few times. The food was very excellent.

Very nice hotel. I stayed here with my girlfriend for a weekend, during which we made the most of our stay.
The garden is large and definitely worth a walk. Due to the size of the terrain there is certainly no lack of parking space.
The rooms are large, neat and modern. The air conditioning worked properly and the bed was new so didn't creak. The bathroom is small, but sufficient for 2 people. The water pressure on the shower was almost too low for me, and the water did not get very hot (rather lukewarm).
The brasserie offers goodies for all at correct prices. Very stylish interior and staff that you serve according to the booklet.
The beauty center offers various nice massages at relatively good prices.
The front desk staff is also always friendly.
Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for every small futulity you want. An extra towel cost 0.75, bathrobes and slippers 12.50 (while I expected this in the room for free!) And an hour of pooling quickly costs you 10.
In short: a nice hotel, but at the low price there is a snag.

I am going to this hotel with my husband this weekend. We have been married for 42 years this week, so we have a nice break with the two of us.
Now that I read so much negativity about the service and the state of the hotel rooms, I am now starting to worry a bit. Also a bit mixed up with those about the manager of the hotel. Is this a hotel or as I read a prison camp, where you are put outside the hotel after a conversation?
We go there blank Saturday and hope for a nice wedding weekend in a nice room and with a good breakfast the next morning. Hopefully I can make a positive report on this site afterwards.

Worst Christmas dinner ever !!

As a family we have been here 7 times before for the celebration of Christmas. Last year you already noticed a degradation in the quality of the food but still a sufficient. Hence this year again reserved for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. This year, they have tackled it differently and set aside two spaces for Christmas. One for al la carte and the other for on-going buffet with music. Since we are with children, we have opted for the latter.
The starter was in itself fine a bit too little for the number of guests, the last guests had no carpaccio and shrimp was also not supplemented on Christmas Day. The main course was a mockery, all too lukewarm, meat and fish far below standard, little variation, few capable staff and no guidance.

Boxing Day we were served exactly the same as Christmas Day. Outrageous, even the soup was the same as on Christmas Day. On Christmas Day they also had croquettes and frikandelles. I saw several seniors with croquettes not walking because they are so tasty, but because the other food is bad gangs. A number of tables disappeared during the main course due to the poor quality. We also spoke with them and these were also regular customers who were severely disappointed. It is outrageous that you dare to serve this and then twice in succession.

Since last year there have been new owners / investors at the helm apparently making a profit is the most important thing they are aiming for and the customer is number 2. But as the saying goes they are walking and going on horseback. Complaint is known to the management and they will come back to this. Regardless of the outcome, we will certainly not be back.

The food in nothing to complain about just perfect for me (gluten and lactose free) but that on Sunday with bad weather there is no TV I find very strange for such a large hotel that should not happen (or has faith to make)

It's a very beautiful hotel from inside and outside. Free bikes offered to discover Veluwe are also very good and a very tasty menu for breakfast and dinner. Gym could have newer equipments, but I believe a very small percentage of clients use it.

Nice hotel, nice rooms, and nice that you can use a sauna, hot tub and steam cabin. I don't eat there again. You don't get much and no garnish, such as fries or potatoes. But you do pay the hood price. Food was also nice. But for that money you want to be full. Unfortunately ....

Top..Was a guest at House of Heroes, a spiritual gathering. They rent a room at this hotel on Sundays which then serves as a church. What a power it assumed. A church that fits into the new age. A great experience.
Hotel de Heerlickheijd is currently their home.

I love this place. It's not your Hilton or Waldorf Astoria, but the staff are so gentle, kind and helpful. Excellent spa facilities, beautiful gardens and adjacent to the stunning Veluwe country park. Staff are fun as well. The restaurant is excellent and the wines too. Standard of produce and the preparation of it is of a very high standard indeed. Ambience in the hotel and restaurant is lovely. Very relaxing place. Been here about 30 times now and keep coming back. Excellent parking facilities too. Beds are very comfy.

Nice location, rooms are ok. Seems some renovation is being done, quality of the rooms depends on whether or not already renovated. Service includes sauna and swimming pool, also bike rent is possible.

The hotel is very spacious and immediately inviting when you enter. However, when we saw the room we were shocked - the room looked like the hotel was trying to save money on the room set up.
The bathroom was probably not cleaned thoroughly because there was still a lot of hair in the bathtub. When we complained at the front desk we were upgraded to a better room. At first glance, it looked a lot better, but it also became clear that the rooms were not cleaned thoroughly - as was the wellness area. Dust and hair in the corners, stains from the previous owners, dirty spoons in the room, dirt stains in the jacuzzi etc ...
If the room service was there and you looked closely, you saw on a few days that only the bed was made and not exactly lovingly.
Breakfast is ok but nothing special.

Unfortunately, we were not asked about the quality of our stay on departure - a shame!

For my grandmother's birthday we went to the Heerlickheijd van Ermelo. A room with walk-in shower was neatly arranged for her and she was pampered enormously in the Gouverneur restaurant. It was a fantastic experience!

We have just returned home after 3 days of enjoyment in this beautiful hotel. We enjoyed it very much, we had a standard room which was good. Staff were very friendly.
Sauna was good too. And the food was also great. Sit in the Horica itself so you really pay attention. The food is thick 10. Again a super nice and clean hotel.

It is more of a meeting and conference center than a hotel, there is so much business.
Hotel room could have had a bit more appearance. Wardrobe and other furniture is dated and out of date
What really disappointed me are the catering prices, really quite the price! You pay 7.00 for a glass of red wine. And then they are also economical with pouring. If you ask me it is outrageously expensive.

Ermelo is a cozy place with various dining options. The Heerlickheijd van Ermelo hotel. Great hotel hospitable friendly staff. But the room where we slept was not very particularly finished by an apprentice carpenter not tight, lots of dust mattresses where you get pain in your back.

No neat service on arrival. No explanation about dinner and breakfast.

Entering hotel room looks neat, but that's it. We immediately turned around and then returned with cleaning supplies. The bathroom: lime, lime and more lime. This was so easy to brush away? Shower head was broken, water sprayed everywhere except where it needed to be. The bath was full of hair and dust. The room floor was dirty. Cupboards were not clean. The bowls on the table were not the cleanest.
The mattresses were saggy / old. Result: painful neck when standing up.

Very nice establishment, near Amsterdam, very clean, excellent services, exceptional value for money 248 2 nights, half board for 2 people! Wellness (sauna, indoor swimming pool, bike rental ...) spacious rooms with espresso machine ... At this price it's just perfect for a weekend.
