Nice hotel, clean rooms, nice beds, but a negative experience in the bar downstairs (there responded for 15 minutes (!) No incoming guests, it took a long time before we got our drabkjes and no German was spoken)

Unfortunately much too cold air conditioning. Service poor. We were 3 people, one of whom had ordered cub sandwich, which was brought 5 minutes earlier without cutlery. The requested farmer's bun did not come, became Italian and the 2 sandwiches were also below par, namely 1 old!
I did not stay in the hotel , but tried the restaurant there . Real Dutch food with great service.. I recommend it for nice business lunch or dinner with ur dutch partners

The hotel is in the perfect location! We rented bikes at the hotel and made a nice bike ride via Wassenaar to the beach! At the end of the day we sat in the sun on the terrace of the hotel. On the terrace we were well helped by Juan! Furthermore, very nice rooms. We will definitely come back, highly recommended!
The Van der Valk hotel has a fairly normal appearance. It all looks very normal and doesn't radiate anything extra. The atmosphere is soothing and there is more than enough room for meetings and food. Please note that there are only public toilets on 2 floors.

The beds were good, the rain shower was nice and high and had a nice jet of water. The rooms were beautifully laid out and expertly finished.
We ate in the restaurant twice in the evening and this was very tasty with extremely professional service. Definitely recommended for a business visit or a visit to celebrate something special.
The breakfast was completely corona proof and everything was clearly fresh and of good quality.

Nice, very neat and cozy hotel restaurant. Tasty lunch menu eaten. Also for children extensive choice from beautiful kids menu. Prices are fair and staff very helpful and friendly, although the order took a bit longer.

We had an annual meeting here with members from all over the country with a light lunch. The visitors grumbled in advance, that must be Van der Valk. When they arrived their comments already changed and when the lunch, delicious little sandwiches and the well-kept rest had been unanimous they felt it had been perfect!
Service is reasonable, but a refurbishment of the meeting room cannot hurt. It is quite dated and the technology is not very reliable.

One of the Valk Hotel, needs an update, both the decor and the equipment. Several times the gravy the Orange machine is defective and so is the coffee machine.

We had a family room with our own "terrace". It was spacious, the bathroom was clean and the equipment was available. When we got there, it became clear to me why there are no pictures of the so-called "terrace" on the Internet - because it is practically in the parking lot. Since our parking lot was in the back yard, this was not a problem, as there was silence. The car could also be parked directly in front of the terrace. The stay with a dog was pleasant (many other holidaymakers next door also had their dogs with them). Nice parks and forests nearby for walking. Soundproof room.
The only criticisms: when I switched on the air conditioning it smelled unpleasantly of mold and the bed was very hard.

Christmas dinner-Dansant at this hotel were very successful, well fed, drunk and unfortunately can not dance i.v.m. a broken foot from my wife. Otherwise we had been all night on the dance floor with such nice dance music, clean large rooms, analogue-back is very quiet. Free parking is standard and the hotel is accessible for wheelchairs.

It is true that your name is written on it in the restaurant and there is disinfection, but otherwise it stays at that.
- At the entrance and exit, only one door is half open, so you have to pass very close to each other. Why not a partition between the two doors, in and out.
- there are walking directions on the ground that are very poorly visible, some are the tables. This should be made clearer, for example by walkways and cordoning off
- children are allowed to run criss-cross through the restaurant without being told.
- at breakfast everything is packed separately, but with some items, for example, the butter you have to grab into a tube to get something, which everyone does.
- the coffee machine at breakfast is at the end of the buffet, which always causes congestion. This causes people to walk past each other. Why are these devices not completely separate so that if you still want coffee you do not have to queue for breakfast.
- the staff may be more coercive towards people who REALLY do not obey the rules.
