Therapy sessions always begin and end on time. This therapist begins each session by asking patients how their body part , i.e. shoulder, knee, hip, is feeling and how the take-home exercises were helping. He spends more time with the patient and less time entering the session notes into his laptop computer. Dr Roach is personable and I enjoy listening to his music playlist filling the therapy delivery area with soft sounds. His receptionists are always focused on the client and ensuring the session scheduling is communicated perfectly. He demonstrates all the exercises before asking me to perform them and does not hesitate to correct my form as needed. I look forward to these sessions and to enjoying a healthy shoulder through the healthy lifestyle education that Steven imparts to all patients.

I've just began a series of physical therapy sessions with Angela Maxwell at Puget Sound Physical Therapy. She diagnosed my issue with pelvic floor muscle pain in my first session and is committed to helping me manage and hopefully eliminate the pain. I have confidence in her because she's very understanding, knowledgeable, and attentive to my issue. I look forward to learning more and completing my sessions with her.

I highly recommend Steven Roach. I have seen him go four injury rehabs, and each time he has tailored treatment to my needs and alters them to meet my changing needs. He is the best PT professional I have encountered among a number of his peers.

Angie is awesome at listening to my concerns and working with me to connect to the muscles needed to strengthen for better body function.
I am in control and strong. This has given me confidence to do the activities I use to do and more. Her office is easy to get to with lots of parking.

I m happy I was given a referral to this physical therapy clinic. I feel comfortable working with Dr. Steven. He knows what he is doing. He is very professional and very kind. My body feels better after every session. It s more flexible and continues to build more strength. Even the home exercises helped me a lot. I would like to return to their clinic to have my other problem areas treated. Because of the pandemic, I m very paranoid going out but there place is very clean and they regularly disinfect. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends

I have been going to Puget Sound Therapy for back issues. I found Steve Roach very good at having me do exercises that help my issues. He prescribed exercises that made me become stronger and to reduce the pain that I am dealing with. He even makes sure that when I use one of the other therapist, they continue with his prescribed therapy. I am doing so much better by going to Puget Sound Therapy and doing my assignments for wellness.

I selected Puget Sound Physical Therapy strictly because of their proximity to my workplace. I wouldn't go anywhere else now. Their techniques are fresh and innovative. I am experiencing incredibly positive results and am excited for a pain free future. If you have pain from an injury (new or chronic), years of poor posture, or any host of other reasons I encourage you to make an appointment.

Facility is very nice. Clean and well organized. Staff is always friendly and willing to get you set up for a time that works for you. Steve is great in the way he teaches you the things you need to do to get stronger. Doesn t want to drag out your treatment if it isn t necessary. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing physical therapy.

Chris has 2 PhDs and is working on a third. He has every bone, muscle, tendon, ligament, and connective tissue and how they work together stored in his brain. If a standard approach (e.g. a stretch) doesn't work, he does this thing in his head to try to figure out "what your body wants". I had pain from a knee replacement that traveled up into my glutes and down below my knee somewhat that prevented me from sleeping. He had me try a few things and one of them -- a stretch -- worked after only 3 days of my doing it. I'm not good at sticking with exercises, so I'd do this one -- just one -- when the pain came back. Without the pain I was able to move around more, and that helped loosen tight tissues so that now I don't have to do the exercise any more.
I also saw him vastly improve the pain of a woman who suddenly stood up under an overhead, compressing her entire spine. She went from hardly being able to walk (needing help from friends) to walking normally and driving during the weeks while I was getting treatment.
Chris also did a study that showed that stretching cold muscles before athletic activity was not only not effective but could cause damage. The muscles should be warm when stretching.
I would trust Chris to tackle any muscular/nerve pain I might develop in the future. I wish he was 2 people so he could also be my PCP.

I would highly recommend Steven to anyone who is seeking a skilled, attentive, and kind-hearted physical therapist. Steven doesn't rush the recovery process and has a knack for identifying and treating complex issues. The front desk staff is very friendly and the music playing in the office is always on point!

It's Thanksgiving tomorrow, just thought I'd post that I am very thankful for Dr Steve Roach and Darlene, who have taken excellent care of me through my knee replacement and chronic spine conditions. Darlene is a bright spot to my day, and very knowledgeable and helpful about medical insurance claims, very caring and works hard to make sure our appointment needs are met. And she has a great sense of humor!

And what about Dr. Steve Roach? Just degrees from USC and Columbia. I joked with him, why'd he end up back here? But I am so thankful he returned home to take care of this community! Over the past 30 or so years, I've worked with more than a dozen PTs because of my surgeries and spine, and Steve is absolutely the best. I'm not exaggerating. Sure, he is an exceptional physical therapist, amazingly observant and insightful about the smallest clues, has a special knack for pinpointing just the right stretch or exercise to address the issue, but he also does all of this with good humor, even temper, unflappable concern, and patience. He listens carefully, asks the right questions, works out a plan. That sounds like what you should expect from any PT, but trust me, this is next level.

I'd be impressed and glad to find a PT of Steve's caliber in Seattle. I am astounded to find him here, in Lacey, in my neighborhood. We are super fortunate to have Steve and Darlene at Puget Sound PT. I gotta go do my homework exercises. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

My best physical therapy experience thus far.

My best physical therapy experience thus far.

You'll get very personalized care here. The approach is different from my past experiences, but it seems designed to truly take care of whatever brought you there in the first place in a thoughtful, proactive and medically sound way.

The receptionist and doctor are both warm, friendly and seem invested in providing you the very best care. I highly recommend this practice when you need PT.

I went in there with a lot of lower back pain and Chris Dickerson worked his magic on me. I feel better than before my injury. They took my insurance who isn't the best to work with and got me back on my feet.

I am currently doing my third time at Puget Sound ...

I am currently doing my third time at Puget Sound Physical Therapy. The first two times were with hip issues. After two separate sessions I have no hip pain and learned some great stretches and exercises to do on a regular basis at home. It works after two years of not being seen. Currently I have a shoulder issue that we are working on to get pain free for sleepingmlm thru the night. Only 2 weeks into therapy and I can feel some difference. I know that it means continued work at home once I am done my treatments but past experience shows me that works.
I give Steven Roach and Puget Sound high marks for diagnosing and setting a course of action to take.
