This business offers alot of help for the homeless people who need assistance

The staff is incredibly rude and they do not have your best interests in mind. The case manager there, Greta Johnson is not a good person. Horrible place.

This place did not save my life. Haven has given me. Through every struggle, they always welcomed me back

This place needs to be rethought as far as administration. Needs more security, can't even look forward without having someone think you starring them down.

Provide many resourses and housing for many homeless persons.

Overwhelmed with amazement. I don't know how they do what they do. Close to 1600 people they serve daily. This place is amazingly clean and nice. I took a homeless woman there, who had health needs, which they took care of. She was not easy to work with. They have treated her like a princes IMO. I go to see her often and more and more issues are taken care of...She is happy to be there. You've got to be kidding... The staff are truly compassionate and loving. They are caring for many who may be battered, wounded, angry, addicted, abused, and demanding & unthankful at times and doing it with grace and a smile.. God bless these wonderful people. This place is a God send for the Homeless!!!!!

Forcing people to lay on the cold cement, not all of us have jobs. Rules on top of rules, if you do not comply your tossed out for two or more hours. Who are they showboating. This place is not catering to the poor obviously. But now we really look depreciative and shady than ever before the wicked up in their tower eating growing fatter staying warm and don't have to get dirty. Who is it bothering, absolutely want us sicker. Not enough killer flu shots being passed out. It's not a freaking EDM Venue.

This is a one stop shop to help anyone who wants help.

Haven for hope was there for me when I had nobody or a safe place to lie my head and I was still able to not quit my job and continue working without quitting my job so I basically had a place to stay for free ,eat hot meals three times a day and not feel the stress of not having any money thank you haven for hope many blessings to y all on the front lines volunteering you guys deserve desperately all the credit thank you for making my experience everything thank you a zillion times also this place is a must go to place if you don t have any we re to go they help you also offer jobs that pay you there on the campus and not including if you work a morning job 8-4:30 as long as you get there at five but also note that they won t be as nice if you come at them sideways or don t talk to them with respect talk to everyone respectfully and you will receive it back in return have some class and also note that these people are so kind volunteering but also you get paid so just volunteer get paid at the same place you eat and sleep so you don t have to go thru the hassle of job searching going back and forth on the bus also the help is much needed also treat everyone staff including and just basically everyone with respect and how you would want to be talked to and treated shout out again to everyone who is making this possible the medical teams the staff every one the generous donations not sure if y all get appreciation from people particularly homeless but I am really really thankful for y all thank you a zillion times thank you for making this happen bless y all much thanks

Good place to lay down ur head and three meals a day if you don't have a home but if your not a Bexar county resident don't expect anything more than that.

The staff steals from you, and they are incredibly disrespectful and they have a bunch of BS rules and even more BS excuses for those rules. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to live at this place. I'd give negative stars if I could.

I have not had the pleasure of experiencing this for myself but I would like to share what I have heard and I have heard that it is a GREAT place to buy street and illeagl drugs so if Haven for hope thinks that they are helping the community,
They are NOT !!!!!!
They need to POLICE the outside of this place and the inside of it as well.
I hope and pray that they take this as a WARNING and START POLICING and CLEANING UP before they claim to HELP the community.

Went for Christian dental clinic Wow can we say "Just (don't) do it"

If you can, do not stay in the project's courtyard (pcy) it contains the worst dregs of the lowest rungs of society with no desire to have any responsibility in their lives and only focused on smoking that synthetic marijuana, crack, meth, or getting obliterated nightly on alcohol. And everyone is a thief

l have heard alot of good things about it but if your getting eaten up by mosquitos how can you get any rest so here is my solution put up mosquito netting problem solved

I was a part of 3 different programs offered. If you want the chance to start over they have every resource you could possibly need right there on campus.. You just have to want it. Thrrrd problems there just like every place. The founder of shaven is truly a man who is touch ed by God because he hsdcmadevit possible to save so very many lives.

We put trays of food the same bin that we used trash for and fed the homeless with the trays. The residents will let you know this if you ask them. They also pay the homeless 50 dollars to work 60 hour weeks but they are not allowed to leave the facility to cash their checks. If they do leave the property then they are not allowed back.

It was very overwhelming with all the people and different buildings.

I went to conduct business with SAM Ministry on the premises n while waiting in line outside one the buildings were people waiting to live there. Nothing wrong with that. When you need the help go for it. But I want to say the demeanor, the attitude, the way the people presented them selves and we're proud of it made me embarrassed to be human. I'd rather be some sick parasite that lives off ur brain juices then ever put myself off in that way. I actually left n did not meet who I had a appointment with because they made me want to vomit on them like Kevin Spacie talked of in that movie Se7en.

Need some more investments for more things for people in the courtyard of Haven for Hope. Other then that its good place for temporary place not permanent place to stay

We are departing the USA to return to our home overseas. Whilst HoH was very busy they went out of their way to collect the many boxes we had in our garage on the Friday that hurricane Harvey was about to arrive in SAT. They were professional , friendly and very focused on their task. Thank you for finding time to come and assist us.

The people at Haven For Hope are doing such a great service for the needy citizens. I saw for the first time only a glimpse of the organized way they help.
I cannot still comprehend, from my sheltered path of life, that a country, that is acclaimed to be the richest and most advanced in the world, cannot get their act right. They cannot look after people and budget $Trillions up $Trillions to spend with accountability and priority. Just one, only one of them Aircraft carriers playing 'Battleship' games would feed, clothe and shelter the occupants of SA Heaven for Hope. I might be a few dollars out on my estimate, but I don't think I'm too far out.
Who are you afraid of taking over the USA. In this civilized society a contract, a written agreement better work or we humans are as uncivilized as our 'caveman' ancestors. If the over admired 'Constitution of the United States' pieces of papers work so great. Then draw them up with you empowering enemy nations. All nation's Military spending needs oversight and an Accountant, for Heavens sake a human one. I haven't even seen Skid Row and I said this!!

Love the how the staff here will go out of their way to make sure the kids are safe n have something to eat and a place to sleep

This is one of the most important and necessary Charity organizations in San Antonio. Do your thing and VOLUNTEER!

Easy access and provides a place for the homeless to stay, use of low/no cost vision clinic, food. I am glad we have a place like this in San Antonio, TX. They accept volunteers. So, if you are reading this, volunteer. Or if you need help go there and see what is available.

The organization is funded by the philanthropist of the Alamo city. And surrounding businesses and citizens who give donations to their Food Bank, United Way etc. Had a detached retina in March of 2017. My employer is Amazon and they failed to pay me for three weeks of pay on June 3, 2017. Would not be paid by Amazon until June 17, 2017. Was facing seventeen days of a late charges. At a cost of thirty-five dollars a day. While being paid sixty percent of my income. Haven for Hope enrolled me in a program. Once I spent the night on the street. Haven for Hope has given me a sense of stability and non judgemental love. Has given me a place of refuge while I wait for my disability to be approved. They have given me a laundry room, television sports room, television movie room, computer room, weight room, community center, hundreds of self help programs, financial counselor, peer counselor, housing counselor, specialist in disability applications, law school, fundring for a birth certificate and a drivers license. And brand new clothes, shoes, belts, purses, auto repair, work related bicycle, special events and three square meals a day. I am sincerely grateful for their support and love. Sleeping outside on a very thin mat on concrete the food for the homeless is a joke drugs and fighting are the norm..the worse thing the city ever did for the homeless closed the Sam shelter where they were inside out of the weather and got two fulfilling hot meals. Dinner and breakfast..

do not ever work on a stipend at the haven. i have not been paid for checks that are over two months ago. there are three others that i personally know of that have not been paid as well. come on $2.50 per hour is going to break your bank? im a veteran and this place treats me like this. i worked for over three months volunteering like 50 to 60 hours per week., good thing i take meds for ptsd.

I served breakfast one morning to the homeless. I recommend everyone do that at least one time in their lives. I will go back and do it again.

They help the people that need help for medical in no cost

From time and time again I needed to felize my faith and my rags to riches life style needed to be worked with and am on a come up on a daily basic agenda workin with staff to improve my social skills daily. THANK YOU LORD AMEN.

Streets were full of homeless individuals and they decide to close as well??? They are an essential service running from their responsibility outlined in their mission... Since their costumers do not pay them directly there is not commitment, not metrics to measure performance, full of bureaucracy...

This place is all about how they can make money. If your not bringing them money they don't want you there.

Haven for Hope dosent respects us as human they treat like dogs

It is what you make of it , the food is good great neighbors and a YMCA and classes to help you help yourself , Haven For Hope no excuses but you and the staff are there for you if you are there for you , they were there for my daughter thank you Haven for Hope staff

Great place for homeless people to recover from the street problems.

The idea behind this place is most definitely a good one. I want to thank everyone and anyone involved at haven for doing their best to make it a place that people can come to for whatever they need to get back on their feet. The reality behind the courtyard is worse than poor. But services offered at haven are above and beyond what I expected.
