Dear Godiva team,
To your employees in question ;Carlos Soler (manager of Selfridges Godiva) and ;Antonello Cannito.
I arrived at Selfridges Godiva 13;18pm when my interview was 13;30pm to find there was no manager (Carlos Soler)?because he left for his lunch or assistant manager I was told the assistant manager was stuck in traffic. I understand the store maybe short of staff but to interview someone and to give them a response lacking, and telling them the job was offered to someone in the morning is a very unprofessional behaviour. On top of all of this the assistant manager pulled up the wrong CV and asked if I was Andreas. I have worked in very reputable companies and volunteered never experienced this . I am writing this as a customers experience because as a customer who purchases from Selfridges I don t think it s up to standard. I hope no other person like me falls into this trap with my review.
Worth a visit. Great retail experience, all sellers are above average regarding customer service. But really, I don't have enough money to buy a pen here and most people wouldn't too...
Magnificent place, everything for everyone at one place but the only disappointing thing is that the map provided there is very confusing and also the lifts r less.
It's only for see it ones and for extremely rich people...
Everything as they should be priced in such a nice classy place. Enjoy dining here at their tea room for afternoon tea and can recommend their tea variety.
Purchaed from this store recently and was treated poorly by your staff at the customer service department. The staff are racist, made me feel as if I shouldn t be there and was very rude towards me. I returned a top that I hadn t worn, packaged and had not been taken out the bag and was looked down on and was told that I couldn t return it. I work in customer service and I can tell you now that this is the worst service I have ever received. I asked for a customer service number to complain and was told by the lady there s no point complaining because even if you did it would come back to me anyway disgusting. Avoid!! Go to Harvey Nichols across the road instead
Great Shopping Experience and Excellent Customer Service
High end department store. A step above Barney's and Bloomingdales. Has a food court.
The tea lounge was lovely. The lunch consisting of sandwiches were pleasant and the sourdough of great quality. The portions were filling and the staff extremely amicable. The overall experience was enough for me to plan on visiting on a regular basis
I have made an order online of two products. One of them is out of stock and I tried to cancelled the order. I emailed their customer service a few times, Was NEVER replied. I tried to called customer service with many different phone numbers displaying on their website and it cannot even get through. For one moment, I thought my phone was not working. Then the only one product arrived and the powder tube is broken and leaked the powder everywhere inside the package. I tried to contact customer service to ask about the return. Emails and phone calls again were NEVER replied or answered. I do not think Harrods customer service ever exist. It is so appalling and I cannot believe this is the customer service of a world renowned department store. Disappointed!! If you are going make an order online, you better finger cross that everything goes on well, because if otherwise, you will find yourself contact a ghost customer service and be in endless desperation.
The most iconic department store. Worth spending a penny there! Even the toilets are a museum ! Amazing. You can also have a coffee and pastry. Definitely worth going when traveling to London.
Lovley place but just a bit confusing on were to go once your there but other wise fantastic
The mother of all department stores. A must visit if you are in London.
Where dreams are made, and uphold the art of possible
Fun experience visiting this mall for the first time. It s definitely not like American malls and I wish we would copy it here.
Lovely store. Good service. Whenever I can, I pay it a visit. Surprisingly enough, sometimes I find goods of good value. A must visit.
World famous tourist spot. I experienced nice, welcome and friendly staff. Lots of cool and fancy things to gawk at and buy. Check out the bathrooms.
Wow, wow, wow!!! I wish I could live here ;-) Phenomenal shopping center with multiple eateries. Just awesome, you have to see it to believe it! Highly recommend it!
I loved Harrods. It is busy, but it is a great store. When in London, be sure to check it out.
Harrods in London's Knights Bridge is more grandiose than Macy's in NYC. You can feel the Rich oozing from everywhere. Although your "everyday" man can enjoy this fancy locale, it's truly made for a higher level of purchaser. The setups are gorgeous, everything is organized well although you can still lose your way a bit, but with an amazingly friendly staff from all walks of life, they're willing to help you with any query. Earn more money, then get your butt to Harrods, they'll have it there...and better!
No trip to London is complete without a visit to Harrods with over 7 floors to shop the place is massive. All the top designs can be found here on jewellery clothing furniture you name it and it is here. You have to visit as you find it difficult to believe that people can afford to purchase such items. Staff including the doormen are friendly and helpful. Several cafes are available serving expensive food and drink to customers. The food hall has some amazing displays of food and drink from around the world. You could easily spend the best part of a day here as there is so much to see. As expected Harrods does get busy with tourists but is well worth a visit.Dont forget to like my review and give me a thumbs up.
This place is absolutely amazing. A destination one can spend hours in. Not to be missed. Gorgeous architecture. Multiple restaurants, great market, unbelievable department store collections. Nothing like it in the USA.
I would eat in this hall every day and night if I could. They are literally delicious.
The confectionery area is definitely worth of spending some time there.
Great place just to look, bit like an exhibition of opulance
Amazing store many items on my wish list to buy . Very friendly staff. Really welcoming and the decor look very nice. Only problem is they shut to early
Love eating or shopping here; love finding unique things that I can t find anywhere else. It s pretty clean and people overall are nice and helpful. I find things here that I later find them on a different continent. I m a fanatic for teas and find here everything I dream and want when it comes to tea. Love their selection of chocolates and biscuits as well. Yummy yum :)
What a rip off
Just go primark
Crazily awesome window shopping place. If you got Arab money, you can buy stuff here too lol. Quite expensive to be honest and mini shops for all those stuff that people buy
Luxurious treats and delights ......make you wish u were a millionaire
I mean , go as a tourist and make a plan of where you need to go , because it s very easy to get lost in there. Their food court is amazing.
Fun place to Visit during the Christmas holidays. Great window displays.
A huge department store, lots of delicious food and a nice bookstore. The staff is extremely good and the tea cafe is cozy. The sweet shop is also a nice corner for tourists to visit, many nice bags and toys, worth a visit.
A place to visit and just dream about you can afford something a carrier bag .....the staff very helpful and the Door Man
Really? Do you truly need to know what I think about Harrods? All you need to know is that I go there often when in London and will go again (unless they will introduce a VISA scheme to go to the UK). The food halls are unmissable, the rest of it is a nice and f...... expensive department store in a refined environment
A special way of unwinding and treating myself is by visiting Harrods. The place always fascinates me. The ambience is so refreshing. The nice smell of every room has a calming effect. General scenario seems peaceful. The staff are courteous and helpful. They are approachable in every way. Talk about the products... of course they are expensive and top of the line. But souvenir and gift items are affordable at "Harrods Own". So, I make it appoint to always buy something from Harrods in every visit, even simple things such as key rings, stuffed toys, bags, wallets, etc. Harrods makes me feel good!
Great to window shop toy department a joy little girls with us wish it had Aldi price policy
3 ladies in the Children s department went above and beyond to help my friend find a thoughtful Christening gift. Not only did they take us through various departments amongst the Children s section to show use various options, whilst we browsed, to our complete surprise, they had been working together, gathering options and came back and found us to take them through them. They then went away, again by surprise, and can back with complimentary gift wrapping accessories for the gift also. To say the service was 5 star, would be an understatement. It is what makes a wonderful retail experience - the incomparable human touch. Thank you all.
The new renovation works looks really nice, I still don't know why they can't fix the weak phone reception signal inside
An absolutely wonderful mall that covers all your needs. Most of their products are, as you may know, quite exquisite and therefore expensive. I do however wholeheartedly recommend anyone to visit Harrods if only for the experience!
Most Amazing parent room in London!
The cafe on level 4/5 is also nice and baby friendly.
Fashion...fashion....and more high end fashion stores
Exclusivity luxury and everything my wallet will never be able to afford. Lol but great to wander around and have your mind blown by the wealth that is out there.
Amazing food!! A must do!!! the baked goodies were amazing!
Famous and very expensive department store with all the designer gear you could imagine. You need money!!!! It's worth a visit as a tourist. Impressive building and looks very pretty at night.
If you don't have a lot of money youll feel very poor in here.
We as students wanted to check out the famous harrods when we were in London for a school trip and even our rich friend felt poor inside.
Everyone we dealt with was wonderful. Love all my purchases and the food in the food hall was delicious
Although Harrods remains the only department store in the world that sells the gold its own standard is composed of, it left me delightfully unimpressed. Harrods is too crowded to appreciate the quality of the wares, badly illuminated in some areas, excruciatingly difficult to navigate your way around, and, quite frankly, outdated. Since the maze inside the building could easily devour over two hours of your precious time to walk through, it's better to spend this time on some other fabled attraction in the vicinity, like the Victoria & Albert Museum or a performance in the Royal Albert Hall.
Definitely the best. One of a kind. The only department store in London in my opinion where service level is consistently good. And the things they have for sale are obviously on different level compared to other department store...
I mean, a bin was worth more than my entire life but yo if it suits you
Every recognized name on every field is present and the prices show it
Went for high tea at Harrods, unfortunately they were running a bit late and we had to wait awhile to be seated. Restaurant was quite busy and noisy. Food was good as was service.
Harrods is a beautiful place really recommend going
Luxury at its best. Expensive but excellent products. Outstanding atmosphere. Staffs were very attentive. Definitely suggest their flower and chocolate section. One of the best shops in the whole world. Security was also very good. Huge range of items.
Going back in April for a revisit with the misses. Awesome to shop and very iconic! Stylish and very clean!
If you travel to London, put this on your list to visit. It has just about everything! The Fool Hall is a must see!
Loved visiting this iconic department store. That's where I got to smell my favourite perfume from Lancome, which I can't buy in Australia.Next time I'll make sure and experience the high tea.
Christmas shop open!!!! Great offers to be had on most everything in store. Staff very helpful.
The England department store landmark. All the high end brandnames you can think of. The interior design like a maze is so fascinating. Even if you are not a big shopper, you will find it fun to see such exotic decorations. Of course, everything is overpriced.
Best store in the world superb service outstanding food hall and restaurants
AR12Gaming meetup was a blast! Thanks Harrods security for allowing us to meet our favourite YouTuber! :)
Loosing its charm. Not a bit like it used to be 20/25 years ago...
What an amazing department store.
It is the most interesting and incredible store I have ever visited.
It is world famous!
Whatever you want you can get there.
I highly recommend that you go to Harrods you will not regret it.
Be sure to take in all of the departments, and plan on spending at least three hours meandering throughout the entire amazing department store, there is so much to see and enjoy and appreciate that you will walk away with an appreciation of the hard work that the owners and staff put in to making this such a great and unique place that is not available anywhere else in the world that I know of.
To be such a big mall and people coming and going all the time, every shop assistance is willing to help and pays attention to every customer that comes in. Food is pricey and stores don't have many options to be honest but it is worth visiting for the "show" and premises
Our children wanted to visit whilst we vacationed in London. A massive, grand shop full of overpriced items (things you can buy anywhere cheaper and some exclusive things you just shouldnt ever need, some things on display cost thousands!) Many people with no manners looking down their nose and shoving in front of us. Saw some young rich kids accompanied by personal shoppers adorned with many bags, which is interesting to see but in a world full of poverty it all struck me as very superficial.
Brought lots of goodies and clothes. The quality was good and the prices were keen. It was strange that some stands were like affiliates, and you could not pay for Harrods goods and tills that were empty so had to queue for 20 minutes.
Everything you need under one roof, pricey central London department store with restaurants, shops (including a toy section kids could get lost in), alcohol and all the latest technology! Also has a good bakery section with cupcakes anyone would love!
Absolutely beautiful experience. My favorite was the amazing take away food floor where I took 55 pictures. Going back to pick up lunch items before returning to Canada.
It's not the same as it use to be when Mohammed Al-Fayad owned it. The experience isn't the same, the buzz, the organisation, the sale, it's not as enticing. We use to go every year religiously, now if we miss a couple of years it's no big deal. The staff are great, helpful and I formative. Great variety and it's always clean and things are in their place, even in the sale.
Preferred old toy department. New one gets crowded. Technology great. Store can be confusing to navigate, to get back out door you came in.
True shopping icon in London, I only go near Christmas for their annual bear tree decoration (sadly twice the price it was 5 years ago) but I love looking around. Most everything is much too expensive for anyone who's not a millionaire or out of their mind crazy.
What could you possibly have to say against Harrods? I could live in the food section, everything is perfect and beautiful, the platonic form of whatever they undertake to make.
Shopping mall - landmark! Worth visiting at least once in your life. Best organized luxury in a beautiful building.
It's really in a class of it's own. Everything is all under one roof but it's expensive
The old food hall was miles better. What a disappointment...
Harrods!
Connected with the British Colonial past! A place where it used to be a market for rare animals (of course, you won't find any camels today strolling around, maybe just references to them!).
Great place just to look or to buy luxury brands, tea as well as having a great sandwich in the bar, enjoy some sushi or get CANDIES :))!
Don't forget to visit the luxury bathroom before you start continuing on your travel to London!
It's a shopping centre that is parent to a collection of other branded/designer stores within. It stocks mostly prestige, rare or novelty items very much like the internet does but with the benefits (and downfalls) of inhabiting a physical presence.
I've certainly been in shopping centres which offer greater product diversity but Harrods is clean, tidy and both the staff and security seem polite. The employee demographic is bourgeoisie.
For me it just feels like I'm shopping in an overcrowded window display. If you either are, or like to feel like, a manikin then you should come here to take a selfie as upon posting this to your social media you will be able to remind a significant portion of your followers how poor they are.
Visited the most famous store in the world, most enjoyable, just not enough money, but the experience was fabulous.
Great experience, brilliant bargains on fragrance sets, lovely staff & customer service, steeply priced food halls though with no seating to enjoy the food you buy though - spent almost 4 hours just taking in all the luxury! Could've spent all day
The displays were fantastic, especially the ladies' evening wear section! But it was immense, one gets lost every 3 min, there is no way to navigate, and unless one has the stamina of a race horse & camel combined, one feels beaten. I applaud the friendly staff!!!
