We stayed in the Amethyst Chain room and it was gorgeous! Bed was comfy, the decor was homey, the fresh bakes cookies were tasty, and the jacuzzi tub was WONDERFUL!

We were also very appreciative to the advice the staff gave us concerning beach wedding locations! Thank you Patrick and Shelley!!

Booked Shaw's Suite n got upgraded to Lizzie's cottage. As ferry before us got cancelled, we reached Friday harbor 2 hrs later and we didn't have any problem with check-in. The cottage is very old and smelly and had so many flies. Sprayed the cottage with provided natural room freshner which we really liked. The corners n ceilings were not clean and had cobwebs hanging around, one particularly over the bed. Saw 3-4 spiders. Bed wasn't comfortable either as mattress was old. Kitchrn had no exhaust. Towels are very old. Breakfast was nice and on time. Didn't get parking next to the cottage and had to park near the office and had to carry stuff on many steps. Had to stay for a night only else wouldn't have stayed there.

Exceptional! We stayed at the Tucker House Inn for our elopement wedding. We had originally intended to go to the Caribbean, but decided to stay local because of the pandemic. We could not be happier with our choice. We booked the Friday Harbor Suite and it exceeded our expectations. The suite was spacious and had everything we could need, and even things we had not thought of. The morning breakfast was delivered and so delicious! They were so careful about dietary restrictions (dairy), and we loved the afternoon cookies and the coffee. Anna Maria was amazing to work with and took the stress out of planning an elopement. She took care of every little detail. It was seamless from the time we arrived until we left. The staff was also exceptional in every way, from Molly and Patrick, to the others that we did not get a chance to meet. We look forward to making the annual trip to this great getaway. Thank you!

This is a wonderful inn and I have already booked my next stay. My favorite part about Tucker House was the amenities and how they customized my food order to my diet regimen. Thank you for this and for a relaxing stay!

Charming Victorian B&B with professional hospitality and excellent location.
Just a few walkable blocks from the ferry landing and Marina in Friday Harbor.
Rooms are luxuriously outfitted with a lot of thoughtful touches, like boutique beauty products, quality pillows and it's crystal clean.
It's more of an inn experience than a B&B as you're not staying in someone's home. We prefer this as it's more private.
Laundry machines available it was a great amenity having come off of our boat trip. They mention kayaks and bikes though we didn't use those.
Breakfast was delicious and delivered to the room. They've done a great job adapting to Covid restrictions-contactless check-in, sanitation everywhere, more separation of any shared spaces and aforementioned dropped off basket of breakfast.
If it's hot, the upper level rooms could be stuffy, they provided small air conditioning but if you open windows you might get a little noise from downtown Friday Harbor.

We stayed in the Four Winds Honeymoon Suite. The big jetted tub was great for relaxing and enjoying a romantic evening with my wife. The breakfasts were delicious and served by very friendly and welcoming staff. Would totally recommend to friends and family for a pleasant stay or romantic weekend and would consider coming here again!

This place is a favorite of ours for New Years Eve. The Lopez suite is perfect for our family of 4 and we still have room for two more if we needed. The only down side to this room is the narrow staircase up to the room. And parking close to the room is first come first serve. Other great things..amazing breakfast, friendly, helpful staff.

We loved our stay here. We stayed in the Harrison House Suites part of the property. What a great place. So close to town and we loved our wonderful breakfast each morning. The homebaked cookies, OJ and Milk in the fridge daily, and more little touches certainly made our stay memorable. Very friendly and helpful service. We will certainly return one day!

So many great things to say about this B&B. We stayed 4 nights for our honeymoon. They provided us with a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate the occasion. Such a sweet gesture! The location was prefect. We were within walking distance to everything in Friday Harbor. Each morning they served breakfast in and it was so delicious.. If we make it back to the island we will definitely stay here again.

Two thumbs and four paws up for the Middleton Suite at Tucker House! Great service and experience at Tucker House, appreciate the C19 precautions and cleanliness of suite. We booked the Middleton suite so we could bring our dog. Appreciated the ground floor exterior entrance with 3 parking spots a few steps away. Surprise bonus was a grassy area fenced in for dogs with a picnic table for humans a few steps the other way. Also thankful for the dog towels and bowls provided. Great walking area, we made use of the grocery store and ordered pizza from Van Gogh's. Quiet and comfortable, loved it.

My stay at Tucker House has been one of the best at any hotel I have been at. The location was great, walking distance to the ferry terminal. We stayed in the Lizzie cabin. On check in, we were greeted by name and walked to our room and given a tour. There was fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge, 2 fresh baked cookies and a biscuit for our dog. They had dog bowls for our pet as well. The cabin was very clean. They had coffee and tea in the kitchen. I m the morning breakfast was brought to our room. We had the most tasty quiche and granola. In summary it had been a fantastic stay and we hope to go back in the near future.

Thank you Tucker House Inn for a memorable 17th wedding anniversary!
A gal named Kaylee greeted us and even helped haul our luggage up a flight of stairs - truly going above and beyond!

The jetted tub was heaven, the room adorable, and the bed comfortable. We loved having a view of the garden and grounds.

The breakfasts were amazing and the staff very helpful. We felt very spoiled and plan to return someday and are telling all our friends to visit you.

Our cottage was clean, well-equipped, and nicely decorated. The location was perfect for walking to shops, restaurants, and activities. The breakfast each day was delicious. The staff was attentive although we never saw them in person (contactless check-in, breakfast basket delivery each day, afternoon cookies, replenishing our coffee/tea/milk/etc.). The location was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I will stay here again on my next trip to San Juan.

Unfortunately due to covid 19 our entire northwest...

Unfortunately due to covid 19 our entire northwest vacation had to be pushed out a full year to July 2021. We had to cancel many reservations and every hotel owner was extremely helpful except Anna Maria at the Tucker House. Our travel agent called to cancel the reservation as soon as our Alaskan cruise was canceled. This was well before the 30 days Expedia policy noted by Anna Maria. In fact it was late April when Disney cancelled the cruise and we cancelled all of the reservations. That was the nail in the coffin to our northwest trip. My agent was told no refunds but a voucher would be provided. We didn't have a problem with a voucher until we read the voucher stating that it's good for travel anytime Except July, August, or holidays. We were already booked for July 23 and 24th 2020 with a deposit of 576.88. We needed to be booked for July 22nd and 23rd 2021 to accommodate our exact trip one year later. Anna Maria says no way the voucher cannot be used in July and that she is being super generous in providing me a voucher I can't use. We disagreed with the entire process and she decided to go ahead and charge my card for the rest of the stay (576.88) against my authorization. This is a ridiculous business owner on a power trip and I would caution anyone considering this place to be aware. I've disputed the charges and so we will see what the bank thinks about Anna Maria's generosity. I may very well take up a civil suit as well since this is such gross and blatant thievery. Charging a person for a full stay they never had due to this pandemic then offering a credit to only be used during the off season (when they are dead slow) is about as low as it gets. Anna Maria you should be ashamed of yourself taking advantage of people during this pandemic for your own personal gain. Again you are not being generous nor fair providing a voucher for travel dates that coincide with your off season. Your profiteering by attempting to force travelers into your off season and rebook high season. I really hope somebody does try to use the voucher that's in my name and they get a free stay out of it. I would find that truly comical since I can't use it and will not be paying for it. Take a good look because this is a person stealing from the public offering useless vouchers and charging credit cards without authorization. She's doing it because her poor family needs the money more than mine apparently. Carefully weighing out if she should steal or rebook the person for the exact dates a year later. Good try but your not being honest and you've rendered no services. Good luck with your merchant account.

My wife and I stayed at the Tucker House during July and had an amazing time. Our room was clean, quiet and quaint. This is obviously the busy season, but found the rates to be reasonable and had no issues at all. Everyone was nice and accommodating, especially with helping us to find kayaks and get around the island. For out of towners, this is probably the best place to stay. You are walking distance to everything in town and the ferry. We look forward to coming back soon!

As a San Juan Island wedding planner, I am always ...

As a San Juan Island wedding planner, I am always on the lookout for local gems I can recommend to my clients. The Tucker House Inn is definitely one of them! I've always enjoyed working with Anna Maria/Coho for catering but this was my first time staying at one of their properties. My wife and I took a last-minute staycation to celebrate the end of my season and we booked the Victoria's Flower Garden Suite. It was spacious and comfortably furnished. We arrived to a delicious bottle of champagne and cookies, and the kitchen was stocked with several basic amenities. You could tell the Tucker House staff took Covid safety very seriously and we knew we were in good hands.

The Tucker House Inn is extremely close to downtown Friday Harbor and only a block away from the ferry. One of our favorite parts of our stay was the homemade breakfast that was delivered to us in the morning....freshly baked croissant sandwiches with locally sourced bacon, greens, etc! Seriously to die for. YUM.

The Tucker House Inn is great for your wedding guests who may want to stay in the same place but still have the privacy of their own rooms. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and you can easily see the many special touches that they put into all aspects of your stay. Put this B&B at the top of your list for your next stay on San Juan Island!

Absolutely Wonderful! This is the perfect place to call home during your stay on Friday Harbor!

The LOCATION IS UNBEATABLE! Tucked right above the Ferry Terminal (just far enough to avoid the flow of cars) and walking distance to everything.

I stay in hotels 40+ weeks a year and would put this in the top 5% of accommodations that I stay in, you can tell this is a thoughtful group that has focused on all the details to create the perfect mix of "home" and "hospitality".

The hospitality and quality of furnishing/amenities are top-notch (handmade soaps, super nice bed/sheets, and incredibly clean overall). Everything from pre-visit check-in to the breakfast delivery (delicious! No surprise considering the owners also has one of the top restaurants on the Island, COHO Restaurant, which is right down the street).

We stayed in their Queen Victoria's Garden Suite and can't imagine finding a better place to stay in Friday Harbor. We got in super late (12:45 am) and their "contactless check-in process" was so easy, parking was right in front of the house, and being located so close to downtown made everything so convenient.

This is our go-to spot on Friday Harbor!

The inn is very charming. They have a couple houses in the same area. We stayed in the Orcas Suite which was upstairs, had a jacuzzi on the balcony, and a great view of the water and boats. You will hear the ferry s loud honks every once in a while, but it s super convenient to be close to the ferry and the town (especially for our first visit to the island.) The staff was very friendly and had excellent customer service. They helped me when I was trying to decide which suite to book and after I booked they helped me organize our couple s massage and a local dog sitter while we were out. They re not just dog friendly, they treat your pup like a VIP. I loved the little pet package with welcome muffin, treats, shampoo bar, and breakfast. It was so cute that it came together with our breakfast in the morning, delivered to our door. And they have a small fenced in backyard for them to run around off leash. We didn t use the free kayak or bikes to borrow, but we might next time! We ll definitely be coming back!

This place was an excellent bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Friday Harbor Suite. The location was great. Well within walking distance from the ferry and town. 10 minutes tops if you look around on your way there. No need for a car if you're on a weekend getaway. The suite was clean and the breakfast was delicious.
The inside was clean and setup by the time we got there. Full kitchen from a gas stove top, deep sink, mini fridge/freezer combo and a microwave. All the kitchenware you might need to stay in and cook. Two (2) flat screen TV's, king size bed w/ an abundance of pillows, love seat, spare air mattress and linens. There's a high table for two (2), coffee table for two (2) with lounging chairs and a kitchen table big enough for four (4) or a decent sized puzzle. The bathroom was clean, tiles throughout, his and hers sinks, a glass door and tiled shower with two waterfall shower heads and the included shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Tons of storage for all the stuff you could possibly bring for a weekend getaway. The hot tub was prepped and ready, controls are a little difficult to see especially in the dark. There were beach towels in the bathroom along with extra bathing towels.
This is a bed and breakfast where you let them know by 4:30pm the previous day if you'd like breakfast and they'll drop it off at your doorstep between 8am and 10am. With 15 min intervals for drop off times to march your waking habits. The portions were what I would consider just right to get us going in the morning. Breakfast was delicious both days. You only get to choose food restrictions or preferences that you have and the rest is up to what the kitchen is making that morning. There was milk and orange juice in the fridge when we got there and a Brita filter pitcher for water. Otherwise there are a bunch of coffee shops within 10 walking minutes of the B&B.
The misses has already decided that we will be returning to stay here again when the weather and whales return.

This was truly a lovely stay that I would absolutely do again in a heartbeat. We stayed in the cottage, which had the right amount of solitude but still connected to the rest of the B&B. The location could not be more perfect - it s right next to the restaurants in Friday Harbor and everything is walkable and right at your door steps (including any activities like Whale Watching or kayaking). The service was incredible: when I emailed about dog sitters, Ana Maria responded immediately. They gave me recommendations for the island. Getting breakfast and little cookies in the late afternoon was such a nice touch. Lastly, afterwards, when they asked if they could have done anything better, I mentioned casually that the towels might need updating and that was the only minor thing. Sure enough, they followed up with me 3 weeks later saying they had ordered more towels. I was initially shocked (but also, not surprised) that they took my recommendation.

This IS the place to stay on the island! Do it! Thank you again to the amazing team.

Wow! We had such a great time here! We loved the peaceful getaway. Our room was so comfortable! We loved everything from the colorful flowers in spring to the majestic trees, to the artwork on the walls, to the thoughtful amenities. We enjoyed the quiet and comfortable living room space downstairs. Anna Maria is so kind and thoughtful! We loved our breakfast and had a delicious meal at Coho restaurant. Conveniently located in town there is no need for a car. It's easy to catch one of the two service buses that go to Lime Kiln, Roche Harbor, English and American Camp. We loved everything about our stay here! We highly recommend The Tucker House. Kathryn & Didier

A super cute B&B. We stayed here for three nights in the Evening Star suite. It was a nice room on the ground floor with a private deck, nice view toward Friday Harbor town, a king bed and a jacuzzi bath for two. The bath products in the room were home made and we bought several bars of the red berry rhubarb soap. Hot breakfast is included every morning. We always had yogurt and granola, the hot meal changed each day. Some were great, others I didn t like as much, so I just ate more of the yogurt. They had fresh OJ and milk from a local dairy. The reason for the less star is the noise upstairs for two nights sounded like people moving furniture.

This bed and breakfast is first-rate. Ammenities include adorable custom rooms, scrumptous breakfast and friendly staff. Unexpected extras were the granola bars, loose leaf tea, french press coffee, and o.j. and milk in the fridge. Also included were multiple pillows to choose from and very nice terry-lined robes. We felt properly pampered!!!

Stayed in the Lopez Suite Tuesday and Wednesday with spouse and parents. Easy walk (2 blocks) from the ferry but up the hill. View of the marina and harbor from the 2nd floor windows! We were four mature adults looking for a nice relaxing vacation and found it at the Tucker House. We rented the San Juan suite which came fully furnished with a beautiful kitchen, living room, dining room, lovely bedrooms and an outdoor deck with a grill. We did some cooking on our own, and thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet breakfasts. The suite was quiet and peaceful. Patrick is one of the key people at the site and was so helpful. Since it's walking distance from the ferry we were able to island hop, and also explore Friday Harbor. If you want to spoil yourself, this is a great place to go.

Everything about our experience was perfect.
The room was very pleasant, clean, modern amenities, but older restored quant home. Top notch service from everyone, there are several buildings incorporated in a block or so that have the rooms, suites, cottage for a nice selection of accommodations. Central kitchen for scrumptious sit down breakfast shared with other folks, all so fun and interesting. Open and family like, with snacks and coffee in different spots, so you feel at home. Well go back for sure, thank you all for a delightful time!!

I've had a problem with the dog situation here. First I booked over the phone and told the owners that I have a service dog. When I gave them my groupon number I also gave them the service dog number. They sent me a receipt that day with a 'pet' charge on it. I called them to inform them that she is not a 'pet' and we cannot legally be charged for that. They were nice and removed it. A week or two before our dates they sent a new receipt with no pet charge but the room price went up. The balance was the same it would be with the dog charge. I called, they apologized and sent me a new receipt with the dog charge itemized. I called, they took it off. Now I'm staying here and they charged my bank account that 'pet deposit' $55. I went to them, gave them the service dog ID, they said it was a mistake, and said they'll put my money back in my account. This is a silly game they are playing and both my boyfriend and I will update our Yelp/Google reviews when we leave. My money is not back in my account yet. My hard earned money is not a game, neither is my service dog.

We had a great stay here. The Inn Keepers were great in the few interactions that we had. The breakfasts were awesome. I took away a star because they told us to drop off our luggage early in their office (unattended) and had us tag them all. They were supposed to be "right back" to bring our luggage to the room. After our 3 hour whale watching trip we were disappointed to find that our luggage was still behind the desk in the main office unattended. We would have been fine leaving our luggage hidden in our trunk in a locked car under these circumstances.

They did make up for the poor first impression with great service beyond that and we would recommend the Tucker House Inn.

Excellent location in town with a cozy, intimate feel. Our cottage was warm, bright, and the amenities (coffee, tea, dishes, and even spices and cocoa) were a big plus. I also can't speak highly enough about their pet policy. Our dog LOVED the "pupcake" left for her and their sweet little pet-friendly recommendations letter. On top of all that, their breakfast was delicious and veg-friendly. We'll definitely be back for another wintery weekend someday.

The Tucker House Inn was a quaint and lovely bed and breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were a few rooms I was having a hard time deciding between and the staff walked me through them to help me make a great decision. They also provided plenty of information, so I knew exactly where to go and what to do once I arrived. When I got into my room, there were fresh baked cookies and fresh fruit and cheese waiting - all delicious. The room was large with a big tub and nice soaps. For entertainment, they have a great collection of old VHS tapes you can bring to your room to watch. In the morning, breakfast is served in their dining room around a big table. The staff are great cooks. I had delicious homemade granola and yogurt, along with great main breakfast courses and dessert. I highly recommend staying at the Tucker House Inn when visiting San Juan Island. It's a great home base to explore the island from.

We absolutely love the Tucker House. Each room is unique and the staff hospitality is amazing (very easy to contact during the stay, quick responses to questions). This recent stay was our second time at the Tucker House and it lived up to all expectations. The first stay was an anniversary trip with a balcony hot tub (Orcas suite), the second trip was a quick family getaway with our 3 year old (Shaw suite). Both rooms suited our needs and had kitchen areas. Easy walk to main part of Friday harbor and the ferry landing, convenient parking. Due to current phase 2 restrictions they were not yet able to serve breakfast, but we remember it being so delicious the first time. Truly memorable. And San Juan island just has so much to offer, you cannot go wrong.
