Great outdoor pools, but that's about it. The rooms were straight out of a 1960s motel in Spokane--dingy, dirty and unchanged. The curtains and main light fixture were so ugly they gave us a headache. It's obvious the owners are running it down, refusing to put any money into it. Sad. The people working here were helpful and nice though. Oh, silverfish too. Many other negatives, but whatever.

Incredibly disappointing. The rooms were dated and the food was ridiculously expensive for poor quality. There were also multiple parties and events happening during the weekend which could be fully heard in our room on the 5th floor. I paid a premium for the most upscale room/location and couldn t even enjoy it with the noise. Had to complain 3 times to management about the party noise and it didn t get handled until 11:40 PM when quiet hours start at 11. I wanted to love my time here but they are charging 5 star prices for a 2 star experience.

UPDATE: recent stay had some issues... First of all, the wait to check in (on a Sunday) was very long and even then it took 1.5 hours to get our room although we checked in just before 4pm. The hot water in the taps is SCALDING HOT! We found out the hard way when our toddler burnt her hand. Even worse is when we advised the staff of the temperature, we were told that we "need to watch our child better". And of course this is all after the pools at the hotel were closed for a week due to concerns with antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Seems the customer service here is declining.
We'll give it another chance or two but if you're not going with kids and don't mind driving a bit, I would suggest Sparkling Hill for a far better customer service experience.
PREVIOUS: Have stayed here a number of times and always a pleasant experience. Very nice hotel and spa. The outdoor pools are great. The rooms are a bit outdated but otherwise quite nice. All the staff we've ever dealt with are friendly and professional. Make sure to find out everything that's available as there are afternoon teas and other things the hotel organizes for their guests.

Picked a perfect time for a visit during a stretch of really nice weather..
A good mix of outdoor and indoor hot spring pool..a nice wading pool for kids and adult only pools..pool bar was a nice touch and drink prices actually quite reasonable..
The rooms were a bit smaller than expected and dated but we didn t come here to stay in the rooms..but they always gave you plenty of towels..which came to good use.
The natural hot spring water was more than worth it..

I had a great time here! I stayed in older building because it was cheaper. Yes it smelled old but that is because it is old! And they clearly tell you that. If you want a newer room they have those as well. But for me it doesn't matter, I would be swimming the entire time and enjoying a beautiful dinner in the cooper room! I will be back for sure!

The check in was at 4 pm. Though I arrived at 3:40 pm, they said they didn't have a room cleaned yet, and we had to wait for them to call, which they didn't. We went back at 4:30 and found that room was ready. They insisted that they phoned, but they never did. Our room was on the 6th floor in the West Tower. I highly recommend getting these rooms because it was quite clean and nice. I stayed on the main floor in West Tower before and it was old and depressing. We had a nice lake view from the room. Wanted to try the restaurant but it was full. The room service was a tad slow and very expensive, but the food was surprisingly good. Not a diner quality but actually a very good restaurant quality. The pools were okay. It was a bit cold, and there were many poorly behaving young children. I wish they had "hot" springs instead of luke warm pools to be honest. There was no staff around the pool. My children (10 and 13) went into the spa to inquire, but the lady shushed them and was not helpful. I went in with them, but the lady ignored me for quite a while. When I commented, she chastised me for being "inpatient". Because children really wanted the massage, I went ahead and make the booking. When we arrived 15 minutes before as they told us to, they had us fill out forms and wait. The masseuse did not arrive until 2 minutes later, which is a bit annoying given that I was paying good amount of money for just 25 minutes of massage. I commented they were late, and the receptionist said my clock (iPhone) must be wrong because they are on time. I left the kids 5 minutes in, and they told me kids will get 25 minutes of massage from that point. But when I returned 25 minutes later, kids were fully dressed and waiting outside. I don't know if they felt that since these were children, they can cheat on them and doesn't matter. The area around the hotel is beautiful, and though water is not very hot, kids really enjoyed the pool. So I'd likely return for them, but I'd really rather not spend the money on the poor service and unfriendly attitude at the spa. I think because they own the hot spring pools and technically have the monopoly on it, the hotel probably feels like they don't have to provide top-quality service. I also recommend avoiding "busy" holiday time because the price will drop significantly if you go on off days (which is what we did by going on Sunday and skipping school/work on Monday).

This hotel is overpriced for what you get. It is old and rundown. Our room curtains were caked in dust. The toilet was so old that the seat was peeling. The stained carpets and peeling wallpaper were a definite turn-off. The tea time was was mediocre at best. The baking tastes like styrofoam and the tea was nothing more than coloured water. The lone bright spot were the friendliness of the housekeepers and the lounge server we had. The outside of the buildings are all stained and old. The hot spring pools were fine.

The pools were great, clean, and not too busy. The room we had was in one of the new towers, but it did feel dated. It was clean and well kept, but things stood out like a lack of easy to get at light switches. The bed was comfortable if you stayed on your side, but it had an odd raised lump in the middle. It took us a bit to realize that was the level of the bed when new and the sides we were sleeping on were divots from use. The resort itself is great, and well worth 4 stars, but the rooms could use some updating.

I went with my wife and another couple to the Copper Room Restaurant. The meal was a buffet with a lot of choices, great food. The band played an assortment of tunes so we got to dance. Had a wonderful evening.

Have been staying here for years. Very outdated and a lots of the furnishings in the premium rooms are damaged and worn. The price is too expensive for a 3 star hotel, but I've noticed they've finally cleaned the rust from the hot springs pool. Not too many places close to the big city to get away and that's why they can charge this price and stay busy. Staff is not exceptionally friendly for a "resort" .

It's quite dated could really use a remodel. The pools are terrific though. The toiletries in the room could also be better quality. The walls of the West wing are paper thin. I also think at the cost they could include a free bottle of water.

A well run hotel. Even though there were large groups, the hotel ensured the atmosphere accommodated all types of guest, very refreshing. It is a very scenic and relaxing place, the rooms were nice and clean and all of the staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful.

So the pools are awesome although the bottom is a little rough fine for my feet but made my 3 year old toes bleed...she still had fun though. For the price I think the rooms are outdated but i guess you are paying for the pools. I was shocked to see that the movie rental was 24.99 and we were not able to hook up our DVD player to the hotel TV and the hotel did not have one that you could borrow.... I don't like that there is a charge for parking given how much the rooms are and we had the 2 bed cabin and still had to pay for the spot by the cabin...I would like to see better prices or more deals, parking for one vehicle included and updated rooms.

The hotel looks lovely when you first go in and the area around the pools quite nice, but there were a lot of things that I didn t like about it.
- It felt crowded everywhere we went ... the pools, the lobby, the seating area around the fireplace.
- You had to go outside to get to the indoor pool, which isn t great when it s 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The hotel charges you $12/day to park in an inconveniently located and crowded lot.
- Dining in the hotel is expensive ... the breakfast buffet was $22/person! We ended up eating all of our meals off site. There was no microwave in the room so you can t even bring food in to reheat.
- The room size was okay, but the bed was hard and lumpy, the furnishings were dated and damaged, and the carpet stained. The room was not soundproof either, and I could hear the people next door talking. The heat was hard to control ... we had it on low and it was way too hot.
It s too bad the hotel is not up to par as the surrounding area is quite lovely and enjoyable to explore.

Wow this hotel has gone way down. No security! Drinking beyond control kids on pools beyond their cut off time when I tried to book spa it took 3 days for them to return my calls I tried to speak to customer service but she said they would all back me up with my complaints and when approached by a staff she simply stopped talking with me and I stood up and walked away .I wont returne unless I'm in area and sneak in as no one cares who's using the pools

The room was small and there was no air conditioning. The temperature was about 30 and the fans supplied along with the ceiling fan did little to cool it. My partner and I spent time at 3am in the lobby cooling down.

Spent the weekend with my boyfriend and had a wonderful time. Everyone on staff was wonderful and helpful. Check-in time right around 4 was crazy busy but otherwise a perfect trip. Don't skip the buffet at the lakeside cafe, it's amazing!

Well its been a year or so since I have been back to Harrison Hot Springs.

It's always fun to go to Harrison all the little restaurants, Greek etc.and a cute ice cream parlour on the beach walk that serves Marios gelato and very large single scoops !

The harrison Hotel is a nice place to stay cause when you stay there, there is nightly entertainment in the copper room restaurant ,also a free dip in the hotels hot springs, or have drink in the cocktail lounge which also has comfortable seating outside or you can go just across the street and try the huge inflatable slides just across from the hotel in the water.
You can check out one of the cute little motels on the beach walk which are a lot less money and you can still go to the public hot springs on the beach walk and still go to the Harrison hotel for dancing.

There has been a lot of new construction recently before the beach and prices are still a lot cheaper than the city's around Harrison so if you want to live here it would be a good choice price wise.

My retired furnace repairman owns 3 homes here and lives in another in Vancouver, so some people really like this place

It's a pretty little town with a lot of history.

Very disappointing to find out that Harrison Hot Springs' hot springs are only available through the resort's spa for the whopping price of $100/person/day, unless you stay at the resort. Very misleading name of thr area. What a disappointment. I have absolutely no desire to come back to this area & would not recommend it for a travel destination.

For the price of the room I was expecting a little more and the extra charges like having to pay for parking was kinda annoying. Checking in took close to 1hr so that was frustrating also, why don t they have more staff at busy times? The staff as a whole though were friendly and the pools were great, just over priced in my opinion

Ridiculous. hear me out. So check in is at 2pm. They closed down the hot springs on Feb 21st, only to inform the guests that the pools are closed at 1pm after they had arrived at the hotel. Almost a shock to every guest that arrived at the same time as us. So after planing the long weekend, getting time off, and driving for 4-5 hours they tell me that the hot springs at Harisson HOT SPRINGS resort is closed. AND they said they will compensate us by NOT CHARGING US CANCELLATION hahaha hilarious. Then they said they will give us a measly %10 off our next stay... Seriously??? Awful management that needs to change. The "manager" Niki was totally worthless and wasn't doing anything for the guests. She told me to contact Lisa Rose the food and beverage manager who apparently had more say abot the matter... She was no where to be found or contacted. Ridiculous costumer service and hospitality... And it's a hotel, it's made for hospitality and getting time away from BS. :)

-Update: and there you have it with their reply. "we were surprised." They found on the 21st and had trouble to contact the people that had reservations the next day? Come on...
-PS. Their acting manager Lisa Rose STILL has not called me back or returned the voicemail or email that I left for her.

The landscape is awesome and the staff is helpful and friendly. The hot spring pools are nice but even the areas that are supposed to be quiet or adult only are overrun with kids. Rooms in the main building could use some updating. The room had no air conditioning so it was very uncomfortable until late at night when it cooled down enough.

Pools are very nice and the water is from a natural hot spring. Hotel facilities are a bit old. Walls are very thin, you can hear other guests snoring. You can stay at a nearby hotel and just come in for the pools too. The pools are nice, but the other guests aren't the most considerate. Overall very nice resort

Hotel and Spa were fully booked, wanted to pay to have access to just the hot spring pools, they would not sell just a pass to their pool and also would not agree to call me back if there were any cancellations. Everyone I talked to was pretty rude. Will not try to book here in future

Very comfortable place to stay while at Harrison. Family-friendly, and in a stunning natural setting. The pool is the highlight - hot spring water is piped in for guest enjoyment. Facility is very clean and comfortable. Dining is very good, as are walks along the beautiful lakeshore. The stuff good memories are made of!!

I was at this hotel for three day business meeting. I am someone who likes to start his day with a work out and I was shocked to find out that the fitness room doesn t open until 0900am which meant I had to miss three days of workouts, when I questioned the front desk they explained me that it was a bad design of the room and guests rooms around it can hear noice from the gym. When I asked if they are working with a near by hotels to offer the option to their guests to work out at earlier time, she replied me NO. In my opinion they need to clarify that detail in their website or at least clarify that in a phone because I specifically called in advance to ask if they have gym.

Hotel is old and room beds uncomfortable or atleast not comparable with a 3 star hotel that they advertised, I would rate it more like motel 1-1.5 star as far as bed comfort.

The only reason why I am offering my review, is to simply offer the opportunity to the hotel management to improve these issues for future guests.

We checked in in time for tea that is offered to guests from 4 - 4:30pm. Afterwards, we wore provided robes down to the three out door and two indoor hot spring pools. The area was clean and relaxing music was played in the indoor pools. Men's and women's steam rooms were separated and hot! We had a very relaxing time in the beautiful mountains of Canada. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The small walkable town also has some nice restaurants. We loved the Harrison Corner Cafe run by a lovely husband and wife team. Fresh, clean, well presented food in a warm atmosphere. The chef knows his stuff!

We have had a lovely, relaxing stay at Harrison Hot Springs Resort. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast omelets overlooking the beautiful lake and hills. Of course soaking in the hot pools is the main reason we come. We really savor the adults only outside pool. Additionally we love strolling along the lake, and sampling the delightful restaurant options in the town. This is one of our favorite getaway spots.

Part of this may have been our fault, because we didn't pay attention to what we booked. We chose a 1-bedroom suite, because we were travelling with our 13-year old son. We should have asked for a different room, because we ended up staying at the "Riverside", which did not feel remotely like it was part of resort.

I suspect it used to be staff housing back in the 60's. It was a "non-smoking" room, but it smelt like that conversion took place about an hour before we arrived.

When we arrived, the directions to this "Bates Motel" style annex were not clear. Part of the reason for our confusion was that we were in complete disbelief that they actually pass this off as part of the resort. My wife reluctantly walked up the stairs to see if the key worked, and yup, this was the place!.

While unloading our belongings, we were greeted by our downstairs neighbours who were busy smoking the Devil's lettuce. They happily greeted us with a "Good Morning!" (It was 8pm.)

That's not the Resort's fault of course, but it wasn't the vibe we were after. We should have just asked for another room, but we were tired, and we just laughed it off.

Oh, and it wasn't like this room was cheap either. It was still over $200, which was cheaper than a room in the main hotel, but it felt like a $50 room.

They were nice enough to phone us and ask us if we ordered cutlery. We did not order cutlery. After we stopped laughing we decided to check and see if we actually had cutlery. Kitchenette, fridge, stove, microwave, lots of cupboards and drawers, but no cutlery! (Or plates!) That explains why they asked!

The pools were nice, but the 2 block walk in the rain wasn't.

Great place to unwind. Little on the pricey side, but definitely a worthwhile experience. Things are a bit different with covid, and I'm a little disappointed that there was no mask wearing while in the pools. It did make me feel a little uncomfortable.

Came here for a quick weekend getaway, and unfortunately it was over-priced and disappointing.

The room was $279 a night (before taxes and fees), for a lake view king bed room, in the newer west tower. However, the room was quite bare, with only the very basics, no bathroom fan, and a pretty uncomfortable bed with no duvet or comforter of any sort, just thin sheets. I understand that it's an older hotel, but we specifically paid more money to stay in one of the "nicer and newer" rooms, and it just didn't deliver.

We also tried to order room service and when we called, there was no answer and no reply to the message we left. In all fairness, we did call six minutes before room service was supposed to be over (11pm), but we didn't want any cooked food, we just wanted some dessert. As well, if you stop taking orders before the time you have written on the menu, that's understandable, but it should be specified.

I also hoped that in a business that focuses on hospitality, the phone would at least be answered or someone would call back to say that unfortunately the kitchen was closed. I thought it was poor service to not respond in some capacity.

The one thing that I did enjoy, was how kind and cheerful all the staff are. Shawna at the gift shop and almost everyone else we interacted with with was great! I just wish the rest of our experience could have been as nice as the staff. We're quite disappointed that our weekend getaway didn't feel like money well spent.

Short hop from Vancouver. About 1.5 hours away and dip into their hot springs pool. They own the outlet of spring water. Only hotel which you can enjoy it. Otherwize the pulic pool. Price is high. If you make it here don't forget tea time about 3:30? Free tea and cookies and muffins.

The hotel was extremely busy and we were stressed out about our check in. We spoke with the hotel manager, Ericson, who promptly confirmed that even though the hotel was busy his team had successfully prepared our room in time for check in. Thank you to the whole team here for performing well under such busy conditions!

We booked 2 rooms for $500 each, they are charging us $1000 per night for 5 Adults, they gave us the room 2 hours late, we got the room at 6, we didnt have robes, we had to wait 2 hours for robes. Prices has been trippled over past few years, service is getting worse everyday.

Took my wife here for the weekend using their Getaway package. After taxes, fee's and only 2 drinks, the bill was almost $750. The stay, though nice in some aspects, was not worth the money I spent on it. The small room and small bed, the poor service by some of the staff, and the outdated feel left me feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. Will not be staying here again.

General Pros:
Dinner in the Copper Room was nice
Hotspring pools were alright. Not fantastic, but not bad. Some were barely above room temperature. The indoor large hot tub was quite warm but was usually quite crowded. All pools smelled very strongly of chlorine.

Room Cons:
Small out dated room. Older furniture, ugly carpet
Thin walls, could clearly hear people in the next rooms and hallways. Was woken up several times by loud people in the halls between 1am and 3am on both nights we stayed.
Twin bed (given the amount I was paying I was expecting at least a queen)

General Cons:
The free wifi around the hotel is extremely spotty and unreliable
Old and outdated fixtures. Given the prestige of the hotel and how much the rooms cost I was expecting a much more refined atmosphere
Service in the bar/lounge was poor. Drinks were expensive and we never got the food we ordered, didn't show up on our bill either so it was obviously forgotten

Spa Cons:
Wife went to the spa for a manicure.
Cost is a little more than double what the same manicure would cost elsewhere ($83)
Used cheap nail polish
Got nail polish on skin quite frequently
Clumpy uneven result
Started flaking off later in the evening

Save your money, go stay somewhere else. This place just isn't worth it and isn't as nice as you think it's going to be.
