Harrah's Joliet Casino & Hotel Review

I LOVE THIS PLACE! ALWAYS GET A LIL SOMETHING LEAVING OUT!

Nice hotel rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and helpful. Casino is by far the best in Illinois. Absolutely best dealers, decent enough slot and table game selection to fit what you play, functioning and busy live poker room, good drinks, and attentive servers. Smaller than Rivers in Des Plaines, but by far and away more worth it. Excellent guest rewards program for returning players. No doubt better in every way than any of the casinos I ve been to in Illinois.

The rooms are a very clean and exciting place to go for adults.

A big place, I was a little bit lost coming in and going out but overall I had a good experience. I liked it much better than the Hollywood Casino. Better payouts for your money.

The casino security clearly still use racist practices! They told my boyfriend to take his hat off so they could see his hair after having him look directly into their camera 3 times. The problem was that the several Caucasian gentlemen before us who went through security weren't asked that same question given we are both near 40 and the young men in front of us looked drastically younger. Of course we won't tolerate racist practices so we will never be back and I wouldnt suggest it for any man of color to go there, besides they dont payout anyway!

This place is f d up. We had a wedding where we all decided to stay at this hotel. We all didn t gamble though some parties did. They cut us off at the bar. A group of accomplished professionals. Stupid management. No way I would organize or spend any of my companies money or recommend any client,competition, or anyone I know to consider this dump.

They have good games- a mix of old and new ones. The staff are very nice too. However they do not let you play. For example: a $4 bet and they only give you a $1.80 total win in the bonus, gee thanks! Save your money and go to Vegas where you will actually win something.

All in all had a great experience nice Ambience friendly staff have yet to have a chance to check out rooms.

Not a good visit. Hotel had kids crawling in the halls and dogs barking all night. Security didn't help. I didn't know they allowed kids and dogs, Ameristar doesn't allow either.

Everything was fine except the overly priced sandwich shop and charging for valet.

We had an 8 member party at the Reserve and everything was great. The service was great, drinks were great, and the food was excellent. I had the Chilean Sea Bass with the spinach and fingerling potatoes. We all had a great time.

Casino has looked better since the renovation. I'm not a fan of the side bets in blackjack though, especially the way this casino handles it.

Stayed over night and was very pleased. The rooms were better than expected. Would stay again for sure. Just wish there was more dining options.

The room was very nice and clean, no smells or stains to be seen. I didn't interact with the staff very long but the women at the desk to check me in was very nice. I thought the room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bath tub was nice and big. However, I would have to say that having shutter doors for the bathroom is really weird. The bathroom is big and echoy, so any running water or noise is amplified and heard within the bedroom easily with those shutter doors.

Casino floor was clean, staff was very nice. Taught me how to play some table games. Had a lot of fun.

I was trying to book a room for my birthday. I have a promotional code for 2 free nights for the days I requested. I was informed that while they do have rooms available they will not honor my promotional code. Then to add insult to injury they attempted to make me pay for the room! They offered me a discount for a room that would normally be free. So instead of $30 for the resort fee, it would be $250!!!!! I'm not sure what happened to this once great company but their customer service has become absolutely horrible. Time to find a new casino!

Food over priced... slots don't pay... friendly bar staff... don't spend a lot of time there feeding the machines . . .

Staff was terrible. Bar staff was rude and extremely slow. Floor managers and maintenance were standing around doing nothing while we sat waiting for help, then were rude when we finally stopped wiaitng and went to drag them over to fix a machine. The only saving grace was the waitresses and a few of the card dealers that actually had some personality.

Would be able to give 5 stars had my I.D. not been expired. Doesn't leave much to do...the place is clean and the staff are friendly. The hotel rooms are HUGE and very welcoming. There's all sorts of restaurants and other shops/businesses in the area as well. The area as a whole (in my opinion) is beautiful! I don't want to go back to Ohio! I walked the area (after midnight) alone and was not bothered at all by anyone.

Harrah s is an AWFUL place to work. The management expects too much work for the amount of money they want to pay. Moreover, they don t want to pay Holiday to any of their employees for working on a Holiday, which is JUST PLAIN CHEAP.

The supervisory and managerial tactics employed by some of the supervisors and managers at Harrah s, are not only UNPROFESSIONAL, but DRACONIAN, particularly in the Housekeeping and Laundry Department.

What makes some of the Supervisors (Erika Salamon) and Management in the Housekeeping / Laundry Department so hard to work with at times, they don t know how to motivate someone to work up to their potential, without the use of progressive discipline; and Harrah s former Hospitality Manager Kevin Meeker is prime example of that. Because if Kevin Meeker would have had the necessary mental aptitude, and skills, to get people to work up to their potential, versus trying to FIRE them for petty reasons, he might not have gotten fired himself.

We were in Joliet for a wedding and had a great time. The room was amazing and the casino was a fun time.

They're hotel is nice, comfortable. The restaurant's food could use work though.

Ate at "The Reserve". It was SOOOOO good. the lobster bisque was amazing as was everything else. Our waitress was also very helpful and did a good job.

Clean place, staff extremely friendly, however smoking is no allowed in Illinois and the smokers' spaces leave much to be desired.

Not bad for a casino far away from Vegas! All the areas from penny slots to high roller areas. Decent slots and now an expanded table games area. Nice selection of new slots to keep you interested. Outside the casino they have a great steakhouse. The hotel has really large rooms with the suites being the best ( do not miss out on the shower!) This is a good place for local gambling.

Good overall experience. The food needs to be 100% better. Had need tacos and they were under average. I also had a beef sandwich and it was just grissly and tough. They really need to ramp up the food. I am getting very nervous about ordering anything because it doesn't look cooked. It looks and tastes like they microwave everything. The food is a huge disappointment.

This place always charging my cc even without charge backs!!

Don't waste your money go to blue chip I put a 100.00 in a machine and didn't get a dollar back .

Called in 2 weeks advance, asked if I could check in when I was 18. A manager told me yes. Drove all the way from Minnesota to have them deny us and leave us with no hotel.

Played slots & won $40... Then I walked around like I owned the place ... Helpful staff, nice atmosphere & good drinks
