Horseshoe Southern Indiana Casino and Hotel Review

No more buffet, no more Graeders ice cream parlor, and a long walk to the casino floor. Rooms are nice thou and free parking.

Spent the night our room was beautiful and we had a great dinner .

Seems to change regularly. I remember the days of good food in the Diamond lounge, not hot dogs. It was tough to get ahead gambling. Used to win no problem.

Rooms are very nice with spacious bathrooms and comfortable bedding. The food option were rather expensive. A more affordable breakfast option would be nice.

Won 500 dollars on a slot machine and left that paid for our dinner plus money to go home with great night.

Went to play table games, had a great time. Dealers and staff were very welcoming. Would definitely visit again.

Always enjoyed this casino. Can't wait for new casino to open in December! I'll probably miss their great big boat, when it goes though.

I was really impressed thought it would be a run down place yet I was mistaken.

Clean and friendly staff just wish we was bringing money home lol. After free room for 2 nights and food worked out even had fun

The hotel was organized and clean upon arrival. Staff was courteous and friendly. Only complaint was regarding there were some issues with the wall surrounding the shower (peeling up for a good 3 foot section). Overall a pleasant experience, would definitely stay again.

Run down, poor maintenance, and pool area smells like mold and outside patio, connecting pool area, smells like sewage.(maybe the smell from the pond that's next to work out path). Prices for food were funny! (Cafe next to front desk)$4 for coffee or $16.95 for breakfast buffet that, no joke, had four items in steam tables to choose from. You can't go anywhere else on a Monday, so you have to drive to town for food. When you drive into facility, it almost looks like it's condemned. I looked at my wife and said, I can't believe we just drove two and a half hours to be here. Never again!! Sorry soo harsh, but no way you should let a property go like that!!

Was under renovation in the showroom area, but the room was nice.

Had breakfast at the buffet. All you can eat bacon, need I say more???

Good food, but overwhelming smoke smell detracts from the atmosphere. Even if you are in the outer areas near the hotel for a limited amount of time, you will likely end up smelling like an Ash tray. However the smoke and rye restaurant located inside is absolutely fantastic.

Big casino , I like that the hotel and the casino conects , but you have to walk at least 15 minutes to get from one side to another.
I haven't won anything so far , but it is fun.

A little crazy, but looks like they want to do right. Confusing. Fun, but kind of a cattle car concept.

Had the spread buffet. It was amazing. Service, variety and taste all A+. Bill was a little high but for what we got it was fair. Casino was great lots of open spots even though it was a friday. I will be back again ;)

We went to the buffet and it definitely wasn't worth $33 per person, it was ok at best.

Another night of losing in the casino. Had a room for the night. Got up 8:30 this morning, jacuzzi tub didn't work and there was hardly any hot water. On the good side the room was clean and the bed very comfortable.

Decent enough for a casino in the middle of nowhere. Buffet can be pretty good.

Once the construction is completed it's going to be amazing

We met our friends there from Ohio and played a few hrs. Had a good time

Very addictive. There is one bartender here that I love. He fixed a drink that another bartender messed up and now I only order from him.

The absolutely most fun for kids and adults for hundreds of miles! Loved it.

Love Caesars casinos. They aalways comp me food and rooms. This place has a very friendly staff. Only thing I would say that could improve is the limited food options but I m sure it s because of COVID. Hopefully they will open their poker room soon.

Really sad and depressing especially for a casino. The staff is always upset.

Hotel and staff were wonderful. New casino was much smaller and had numerous slots out of order. Wasn't really impressed. Hopefully they well get better with time.

If its your 1st time going, park on the 2nd floor of parking garage...you will walk right into the front of the casino this way. Nice and new...As with all casinos...its a gamble. May luck be on your side!!

When I was walking around an I look down and I thought I stepped in something an it was the red carpet an it had my shoes covered an the red carpet stain my shoes. Then I set down an play at a table and woman didn t even know how to pay out win u won the guy next to me at the table help her out then the service was no good no one ever stop and ask me if I needed any thing. I had to get up every time when I needed something and go up and get it myself. I played wheel of Fortune an hit the free spin 12 plus time and out of that many times I only got 35 or 50 coins. Jacks casino is where it s at .

All computer systems are down no atm in entire bld. Drove over from shelbyville ky with enough money to play for 30min and can not get any more
Horrible absolutely

It was a nice experience. The hotel was nice and clean. I did hurt my shoulder trying to open the door. You had to hit it like a football player just to get the door open. My kids couldn't get back in the room themselves because they weren't strong enough to open the door to go in and out. Everything is so expensive though. They leave you 2 bottles of water in the room but if you drink them they will charge you $4 plus tax. Would have loved to get room service since we never have before but couldn't afford the room service, and to rent a movie to watch was $19.99 plus tax. The casino was fun and I loved the experience. Overall it was fun and everyone was very nice.

The rooms were nice and spacious. The food was great. The staff was super nice.

Everything went very well. The restaurant right outside the casino was fantastic. All security and employees were very nice and aware.

It was wonderful but the hike to the event was too long

Went here last Friday to the buffet Fridays is all yo you can eat crab legs and prime rib it is fantastic iam renaming it food heaven everything was great including the staff price is kinda high compared to most places I go to $35 dollars a person but it was well worth it I didn't gamble but did walk threw the casino to check it out a coworker told me if you gamble $20 they give you the buffet for free I'll check that out next time

My hotel room was right by the pool and the view was the best.

Always a fun place with lots to do just make sure you have money

If you need a peaceful getaway, where no one will bother you, and you can dilly dally with the slots, and have a good meal afterwards and shaunt all the way to your car, as if on clouds, the horseshoe should be your next trip.

We just went to the new Casino. For one thing there is no clear aisles so you have to zig zag through everything to get anywhere. Then the machines don't seem to be in any kind of order as far as denomination. Then we went to the Cantina to eat. 3 small taco $12.00 and the shell part taste like the offering at church. Then no ranch dressing. Then you have to leave your food to walk to the buffet to get a drink. Then to clean your mess up you have to carry your tray bag over towards the buffet because there is no garbage can in sight. Hate to say it but I was anticipating something nice and everything was a let down. Liked the boat much better and wasted money on mine and wives food. You failed to get my business back

Ate at Legends, food was amazing. Good amount of food for the price. Quality was very good. Chips and queso is a great recommendation. Steak was cooked very well and server was nice.

Pros: They have plenty of table games and slots 1 electronic blackjack "table" which I like to play to start. There are plenty of places to eat with some good options. I do wish they'd reopen Smoke and Rye restaurant. State law does not allow them to give away alcoholic beverages but they offer soft drinks and coffee at no cost.

Cons: It would be perfect if it were non smoking or at least had a section of table games that were in non smoking. Right now the best you get is a section or side of the table that can be marked non smoking.

Love to go here just to get out of the house. There is no where else I can smoke and drink coffee be comfortable.

You would think that a brand like Caesars, would have cleaned up all the trashy remains of horse shoe, before they took over.The lobby breakfast ( at $ 15.00 ) reminds me of eating at a greyhound bus station, but this Caesars breakfast was worse.

The last several times my husband and I visited we each had $200 a piece to gamble with and never won. We had been warned this casino was like that. We won't be returning.

Some of the food was cold. Just didn't like flavor of the foods I ate.

Rooms need updating. AC units is terrible. But bed is comfortable and staff is very nice.
