Hotel rooms stink of cigarette smell. Have to pay to park even though they charge "resort fees". If you want to park for free it's a 2 block walk. Bad customer service. If you try calling them it takes 5 minutes speaking to a robot to get to anyone then they won't be able to help you anyways. Won't be coming back ever.

This place is ok. The problem I have with it is the fees (parking $25 a day resort fees) I recommend that you look at some of the other resorts that offer free parking and no resort fee. Use the extra money for dinner or an upgraded room
You have to try the Sage Room for the best steak dinner you'll have in South Lake Tahoe area. You will definitely need a reservation but it's worth it. They have amazing entrees and delicious sides. It's great for a romantic dinner or special occasion. Leave room for dessert because they are divine and made at your table. The banana fosters or Diablo coffee are our favorites. Both are lit on fire next to your table. It is a bit pricey but absolutely worth it.
This Hotel absolutely can not be a 4 stars hotel. There is no privacy in the rooms, I could easily hear the snores sounds coming from the next room in the nights, you wont have a good sleep in this hotel, because everything keep waking you up during the night, btw they are doing maintenance on their rooms, and they were starting from 7 am in the room above me with too much noises, also there is no refrigerator or Microwaves in the rooms.
This hotel is very family friendly. Rooms are decently sized with a great view. Right on the border of California and Nevada. Close to many shopping opportunities and activities!
I'm sure for people who love casinos, this is as good as the next. It's a but dated, and I don't understand why smoking is allowed indoors in Nevada. It's terrible. Had dinner at the sage room. It was delicious and expensive. Let's just say I'm not the target consumer for them.
Booked a King Suite for my wife (30+ wks pregnant) hoping for a relaxing few days with a spa bath, as advertised. After attempting to unload in front & checkin for 20-25min on the 'auto check-in kiosk' machines, an actual human being from Hotel appeared for the first vague sign of customer service so far, and assisted with the room keys. Enter the King Suite - which is nice, clean, & spacious - but NO BATHTUB. Again, literally the one and only reason I even booked this room/hotel. Called to front desk asap and was told 'non of the new suites have bathtubs' (?) Few other major inconveniences: all coffee makers were removed from rooms for 'Covid protocol' (but of course room rates aren't adjusted & you don't get voucher) so if you're a coffee drinker expect a 20+ person line every morning at the only coffee vendor on property (Starbucks) in main lobby...and if you're wanting breakfast at the hotel, only option before 11am(!) is 1/2mi. walk under the tunnel to Harrah's. Extremely disappointing stay - would've been more comfortable at home, and saved a lot of money.
I stayed here in Harvey's for a week. nice place for getaway. I'm impressed with their service, quality of rooms. If I get a chance I would definitely pick this for my next getaway. Inside there is nice restaurants and buffet on top floor where one can sit, eat and chill with ravishing sunset views
I did not stay here this year but always been here and I will come back next year to Harveys, friendly staff, parking space, arcade for my kids, and casino ( not as smoky) for my husband and sibblings. Restourand in Harveys are always our breakfast spot... Awesome place to be to in middle of everything. Walking distant to tubing and snowmobile park...price is always fluctuating but not overprice...
This used to be a fun place to go, but not anymore. They have finally started charging for parking and the casino was completely empty with no action on the casino floor. The front desk team members were not as helpful as they once were and "forgot" to add on the parking when we checked in, so we had issues leaving the parking garage upon departure. 95% of the food outlets were closed. Will not be returning on future visits to the area.
The front desk was nice and the concierge was very helpful. This was my first time in Tahoe and they gave me a lot of places of interest to visit. There are also Starbucks and Cinnabon on the lobby floor which was nice. And the casino is convenient for my friends who like to Gamble.
It's just one of the places you wanna be in south lake Tahoe. It does sucks they don't offer coffee in your room and continental breakfast, not even an apple.
I never received my deposit back I went on Jan 5th got a room on the 18th floor FYI room 1831 is a trap a way for this scam of a place to rip you off the vents in the toilet bath room sucks all the smoke from the casino In to the room. I had a weird filling something was up when I walked to the lobby to check in the lady at the lobby kept reminding me it s a non smoking room never meet her and she reminded me like 5 times like if she s seen me smoke before I think they are pocketing the deposits.
They charge guests a daily parking fee that adds up quickly. At the bar, they meter their their drinks. This mean if you don't play ie money amount combined with time limit they won't serve you. According to the bar tender, $1.50 a minute for five minutes. We were scolded by the bartender, after chating with the person next to us about their military service and family for several minutes.
From having to pay for parking even though I stayed in their hotel, to the elevator's not even working half the time and getting stuck inside of them. And let's add on the hidden resort fees that added up over $70 worth. The rooms are super basic, no fridge, no microwave, no utensils, no coffee pot just a bed and a bathroom. Needless to say I am totally unimpressed especially for the price point, what a total joke. If you are looking to stay somewhere in South Lake don't make a Harvey's.
DO NOT STAY HERE. The casino and restaurants were pretty nice. However, the hotel was nasty. Mold in the bathroom, tiles missing, stains on the walls and in the carpets. We asked housekeeping to look at the mold and nothing was done. The only reason this isn t one star is because the food at their restaurants is pretty good. But please, do NOT stay at the hotel!
needs a renovation mayne some themeing harrahs and harveys look like identical casinos may as well be the same name .... at least have different decor and uniforms.
This is a nice hotel in a great location. The room we stayed in was clean, modern, and very nice. It is within walking distance of the Heavenly gondola, shops, and restaurants. Of course it has its own restaurants and underground access to Harrah's across the street if it happens to be snowing 12" the night you're there. With the full casino, shows, sports book, shops and arcade there is plenty to entertain. The room rates seem reasonable but there is a resort fee that is extra. Try and get a platinum or better CEG membership. At least, you can avoid the parking fee then. Also, the line to Starbuck's in the morning is ridiculous, but the Cinnabon a few steps away was always deserted.
Don't be fooled by the pictures. This place is a dump. After seeing a roach in our room, it was time to leave. The room was dark and smelled like smoke.
Rooms meet expectations, nothing more or less. Check in is a joke. Relies to heavily on automated check in. Staff working check in kiosks and actuall front desk have no communication with each other. Not enough food options for 24 hour casino. Latest restaurant open is 1ish. Ok for a quick stop in town but not for night life.
Unbelievable when we walk in at 130 pm Thursday they tell us the room is not ready and there are resort fees "26.00" per night and also 13.00 or 20.00 for parking per night...having to walk outside to go and find some breakfast to another casino and that wasn't resort quality either "Harrah's"...nothing's open service is way lower than 1 star due to their attitude...customer isn't right...rooms are not 59 bucks or whatever is posted...the resort fee is supposedly for wifi pool hottub gym access...hello it's included at super 8 which is way cheaper btw... For the price and all the hidden fees I would have void coming to Harvey's or Harrah's in Lake Tahoe Harrah's might have good service I don't know. At Harveys the customer is wrong... be warned
Rooms are great. Huge bathrooms, great views. Watching the sunset as I write this. Easy tunnel access between Harrahs and Harvey's. Beds are great, staff friendly.
Like jumping back into the 1970's with the decor. It's clean, it's nice... But it's not what we seen advertised online. No fridge, no ironing board and no coffee...
Extremely basic rooms. Beds were comfortable. No in room coffee pot as most hotels include. Also rooms could use more lamps for better light. They "include" free internet but we had a terrible connection as web pages would just continue to spin but not load. I won't say it was horrible by any means but I really wasn't all that impressed with this place in general. Definitely won't be my choice a second time.
After reading some reviews, i was skeptical, but the service was great! Everyone was friendly and helpful! Room was outdated, but clean and spacious Elevators were fast.
We prepaid for a lake front room in the new tower. When we arrived, they had given our room away! No upgrades available and only offered a downgraded room FOR THE SAME PRICE!
The hotel really came off quite cheap. Like most Nevada casino and hotels, they don't provide free Wi-Fi in room probably in hopes you'd gamble more. There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby but you need to give them your email. That isn't the main reason I'm giving it such a horrible rating though. Who ever runs the rooms are quite cheap. No coffee makers in room which comes standard in almost all hotels. The room shows age, the shower granite had cracks in them, the toilet clogged once with little use during my 2 night stay (they fixed it immediately though). Also I wouldn't call it very clean. I took a UV light to one of the beds. One bed was clean, the other I can see the faint glow of body fluid on the top cover. The inside sheets were clean but the top cover is another story. Also trying to find a place to eat in the hotel, all the restaurants in hotel had reviews that said expensive prices but the service was not up to par. Had to walk to the California side to get decent food. Don't get me wrong, the employees there were all very nice and courteous... It is the owners that is the ones completely letting the hotel break down.
Also an update would be they don't give guests free parking now unless you are like a VIP member. Don't be fooled by the low prices on the rooms!
So, we got in late needed a place to stay and we got a deal at Harvey s. We stayed in room 463 with a terrible view of the roof. Not very impressed with this property, the walls are paper thin. You can hear the neighbors toilet flush, the talking and the loud maids in the hallways. One positive, the shower was amazing but I probably wouldn t stay here again. I forgot to mention the SEVERAL broken crack pipes outside of our window...no joke! Look at the pictures. This place is very trashy!
Only sports book around Quick and easy drive from Bay Area Scenic too Vegas a pile of dirt (sand) on its best day Opened an LA "Fatburger" in casino worth the drive alone Reno and Ponderosa just up the road too Lots of Snow Bunnies in the winter North western crowd way cooler
Got very lucky at the peppermill Reno what the harveys in Tahoe like a used to last about $4000 No free play Are they ever gonna upgrade Not my favourite private go back that sucks like Tahoe beautiful
Hotel rooms are quiet old. I am not sure they are really 4 star. I would rate them 3-star. Hotel staff is quiet friendly. No problem with anything really.
Hotel parking is convenient. There is free chargepoint for electrical cars. The restaurant within the hotel was quiet nice. I had been there a coupk of times. Hotel is within waking distance to Heavenly Gondola. Very convenient for skiing. Of course they have casino too.
Price is affordable. So I would recommend this place for a nofrill trip.
I only went to Harvey's to grab some drinks with some friends. Overall we enjoyed our experience as the staff and customer service was great. Would go back again!
The rooms are very nice in the Mountain Tower. They have double bathrooms, which is very nice. The gym is nice and free to overnight guests of Harrah's or Harvey's. The gambling is not great, but they have a good variety of games and a nice poker room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Beautiful views.
Hotel room is very small (compared with rooms at other place with similar rate) with paper thin walls. No coffee maker, no microwave, no small refrigerator... Everything seems old and the swimming pool and hot tub are even wasted. Additional resort and parking fee.
Oliver sero, during his shift, was inappropriate with guests during my stay. He was abusing his power on duty by following guests around just because they would not acknowledge him in the lobby. From my personal perspective, this casino is an inadequate casino within the borders of Nevada due to the indecency of the staff. If you're looking for a night of relaxation and to be left alone stay away from here. One the other hand, if you appreciate having the casino to yourself this is the place; locals who mind their own business come here and if anyone is seen approaching others, whether it be old friends or new, here the staff will 'recommend' you leave the property.
