It was a good time and a break from the usual dinner and a movie.

The play was really fun! The facility and parking is great!

I absolutely love the new design of this theatre. The mechanical workings of the stage are incredible! It really helped the show come to life and the performers were so stunningly talented! I absolutely will return. The patrons were not so great at paying attention to the social distancing signs, though, that's really my only complaint but that isn't the theatre's fault.

Humerous with a fast tempo and beautiful singing. All the actors were outstanding. My family absolutely loved it. Thank you Hale Centre Theatre for such quality entertainment.

I used to love Hale. I grew up in Utah and I would go every time I possibly could. I loved seeing the magnificent scenes and wonderful acting, singing, and dancing. Hale built a Utah legacy and was a must-stop for visitors and travelers alike. The magic they created made dark times a little brighter and people a little better.
But in the previous years, it seems like everything has slowly and progressively getting worse, Especially in the past 2 or 3. Priorities seem to have slowly been shifted from telling riveting stories to creating massive spectical and showing off what big money can buy.
I don't want to disparage any of the actors or crew, because I have worked with many of them before, and many are good friends. But, it only seems like every single time I see a show there, I leave more and more disappointed. The past 3 shows I saw sacrificed the artistic integrity for a lot of in-your-face glam and spectical. the acting was subpar, the dancing was great, and the singing was all right. But it was hard to notice them when the key focus of the production was on scenery, costumes, lighting, and those new back scene panels. When I go to a musical, I want to be swept away into a different universe where I believe the characters are real, and I learned something new about myself or about the world. At the new Hale Center Theater, I feel like I'm watching a manufactured production that was thrown money at instead of taste, and tasteful artistic decisions.
Sure, you'd be hard-pressed to find better singing and dancing, but you'll definitely find better musicals, better acting, and more riveting stories at other theatres in Utah.
On top of all of that, reopening in a time of pandemic is not a wise decision and they are already paying the price for it.

Tldr
Hale used to be my favorite theatre, and now they're not. What was once a place of artistry, is now a place of industry.

The new building beautiful. The seating here is much more comfortable and less cramped than the old building. As always, the sets and performances are amazing. I love seeing shows at Hale - the "in the round" experience is so fun. There's not a bad seat in the house.

Absolutely love HCT! Everything from online ticketing to changing the date if needed to the ushers to the actual plays themselves. We love going and laughing and crying and trying so hard not to sing along. The shows are appropriate for families as well as dates. My favorite part of season tickets is the guaranteed, quality date I have with my husband in a very busy life. We are looking forward to the new theatre in Sandy but will miss this one.

This theater is AMAZING! I couldn't believe all they did with the set! We were on the 8th row (out of 10) but our seats were fine. If I could've gone closer, it would've been better but I'd buy tickets at this cost again for the same seats. The view really wasn't bad. Fantastic theater, great prices for the quality of talent, and all the seats are worth the cost.

Beautiful new space and incredible productions that wow their audiences. They could cut back on their props budget to pay their performers more and all would be well.

Saw Cinderella tonight and it was absolutely amazing! The sets were beautiful, the cast was all amazing, and just everything about the night was magical. Highly recommend you go there if you haven't seen it yet because it was fantastic!!

The atmosphere is sophisticated and luxurious. The stage is absolutely astounding. Any seat in the house is a promise of a thrilling experience. I will continue to see productions here time and time again.

So impressed with HCT! Everything they do if wonderful! Every seat is a good seat, even when I don t love the show I walk away so happy. They have a great variety and everything is done tastefully for all audiences. Their actors are all so talented it could stand up to Broadway. The staging and costumes are jaw dropping and the cast will make you laugh, cry and fall I love before you go home. It is worth it, go to any show! I love getting to come here, I m so grateful we have HCT.

What a beautuful theater and Mary Poppins was fabulous. So uplifting for me.

I loved the show and the facility is amazing. It was exactly what I would have wanted from a Christmas production buuuuuuut I am wondering if I am crazy or if they are actually pumping essential oils into the theatres. I adored my experience aside from the fact that I am so sick to my stomach from the smell. Strong lavender or some other strong floral scent. I cannot imagine they would be foolish enough to think that every patron would like enduring something like that after paying that much for tickets. Peoples preferences on scents vary too much to do that. YUCK! Sadly, for this, I dont think I will be back. I am home now an hour and a half after the show and I still smell it. Please reconsider the oils in the theaters or sooner than later you will end up with an audience full of mouth breathers for 2 hours. It is horrible. STOP.

The Hale Center Theatre experience is unique in all the world! I love to see how clever they are with costumes, sets, lighting and special effects. This is as much a part of the entertainment as the singing, dancing, and acting which is exceptional!

The level of quality continues to improve. Great price point; impressive sets and costuming.

This is my 4th time coming and I cannot praise the creativeness and performance enough. I leave always impressed and would encourage anyone to go.

Saw The Scarlet Pimpernel last week and it was absolutely fantastic! Very unique stage, great actors, amazing costumes. We had a great time! I will definitely be back!

The acting is excellent. The seating is spacious. The counter staff moved thru a very long line in a short amount of time.

The new venue is fantastic. We saw An American in Paris here and it was just as good as many of shows I ve seen in London.

This week we were able to view 2 plays !!!! Adams Family was thoroughly entertaining with humor intertwined throughout. My hubby and I both loved it.
Last evening we were privy to watch Phantom. I was totally absorbed from start to sad ending. Singing baratone, tenors on through soprana. Dancing withballerinas was awesom. Great portrayal if such a dramatic play! Kudos to all the actors and actresses. Alas, Hubby was less than thrilled, but he was very over tired and thus highly critical, so I am discounting his review ; )

I am so disappointed at HCT for not being a little more forthright when advertising "Phantom." Who knew there was another Phantom musical out there besides Phantom of the Opera? I didn't when I bought 3 tickets for myself & 2 friends. It wasn't until I talked to another friend who saw it (also thinking she was going to be treated to Andrew Lloyd Weber's songs) that I realized my mistake. Yes it was advertised as "Phantom" & not Phantom of the Opera, yes HCT's advertisement showed a man with a mask like Phantom of the Opera, & yes they boasted of a chandelier scene like Phantom of the Opera. The talent was amazing as were the costumes and the stage sets, but we found that "Phantom" is very dark and NONE of us liked it. I would NEVER go see it again nor would I recommend it to anybody. I just wish HCT would have let people know, because I am sure we were not the only ones disappointed.

While I didn't love the The Music Man, the production quality was great. The new facilities are amazing, not a bad seat in the house.

Incredible! Truly an incredible theater. The main stage is a gorgeous theater in the round, where my wife and I saw Aida, which was breathtaking! Huge amazing sets, lavish costumes and props, terrific lighting and sound, and the new seats are comfortable with excellent views from every angle - it is a circular stage after all! The acting was really fantastic, and really adds to the immersive experience. Great signing voices too. The whole production was so professionally done, we were very impressed. But we've always been impressed by Hale Center Theater's production values and atmosphere.

The new building is beautiful inside and out, and it feels like such a premium experience to visit and see something so well-crafted. We just saw Wait Until Dark on the smaller "Jewel Box" stage and all the elements of the show were amazing, from the excellent acting to the striking lighting design, with even some scents included to emphasize the main character's senses! I really recommend seeing this one while it's around this fall - they do a really great job building tension and letting it erupt in the high intensity of the final scenes (really emphasized by the lighting!), and the lead actress did an incredible job portraying Suzy Hendrix's blindness! The whole cast was superb!

At the previous location we saw The Nerd, The Heart of Robin Hood, A Bundle of Trouble, Beauty and the Beast, and many others, and they all impressed us. Ticket prices are reasonable for the night of entertainment and the quality of the whole experience, in my opinion - especially since they help HCT keep producing great art. Parking across the street is easy and getting out from that lot afterwards is smoother than the previous theater. (Haven't tried the parking garage yet.) Up next: Scarlett Pimpernel! Can't wait! Thank you Hale Center Theater for such high-quality entertainment and many fond memories so far :)

I moved here two years ago and thought that I had seen the best regional theatre there was to see. I was wrong. The Hale Centre Theatre is outstanding in every aspect of their productions. The venues are gorgeous and the talent on and offstage are unmatched. If you re new around here or on the fence about experiencing a show here, stop thinking about it and go.

I don't have a whole lot to say other than that they do a great job, particularly for a community style theater. The prices are a bit up there, but I suppose that's the cost of running live theater. They really do a great job.

Wow, Ruth Hale would be so proud. We were season ticket holders back in the late 90's in the Orem location. Wow wow just wow! This theatre is state of the art and the cast of Matilda was truly amazing!

Saw Hunchback and it was great. The theater is designed in a really cool way. It's crazy how much the stage can transform!

Love plays here for both adults and kids, the actors are superb and fun to watch. Older bu sophisticated set, the new building should be spectacular. Highly recommended.

"Cinderella" was absolutely fantastic! The costuming, choreography, set design and lighting design were all exceptional.

This was one of the best theater performances we'd have been to. The story line held our interest to the end. The songs were appropriate and the voices were strong. The theater itself gives everyone a great view of the action on the stage. I give it five stars.

Saw the performance of A Tale of Two Cities, it was fantastic. The actors were marvelous. The stage set designs were gorgeous. We will be back again.

We came for an event and it is beautiful. The food was incredible!

We love Hale Centre Theatre. We are in our 5th year doing season tickets. Shows often sell out, and tickets can be hard to get on short notice. With their seating arrangements, all seats are good seats.
Their theatrical sets are incredible, and with their new venue, they're attracting even higher caliber talent in their performers. And the local talent is often college students or locals with day jobs and good performing skills. The seats are comfortable, the snacks are sugary and pricey.
The shows often come from Broadway shows making Regional premieres. Lots of family friendly shows, just no kids under 5 at the shows.

I'm just a little frustrated with their system for allocating season tickets for Tarzan during COVID. I would like more transparency at the start with published timelines. Things feel too up in the air.

WOW! I had no idea theatres like this even existed. Things came up from the floor and down from the ceiling. It was very cool and the people performing and the theatre employees were all very nice and helpful. We saw Matilda it was cute. We are going back at the end of the month to see Steel Magnolias. This theatre does not dissapoint.

We just saw "Wait Until Dark" one of my favorite movies and now plays. Hale truly knows how to do it right. Must see.
