There's always a wonderful production going on here. You'll never be disappointed with how Hale Centre Theatre incorporates their interactive stage with any of their plays. Always a great experience for anyone

I've been waiting for something like this and I think Hale Theater finally turned the corner with BrightStar. Never been a fan of the smaller theater or the productions outside of the theater in the round but this one was unforgettable. We've been season ticket holders since they were on Main Street and this was a step above. Well done!

The productions at Hale are always amazing. This was my first time at the new building, and it is spectacular. Wonderful music, brilliant acting, welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff; overall a very wonderful experience.

Greatest live performance theatre in North America!
You will be amazed at how much better this place is than any NYC Broadway theatre. If your in the SLC area this place a must. We saw the Wizard of Oz in the circular theatre and it was incredible.

EXTREME LACK OF CONCERN FOR PATRONS WITH DISABILITIES. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Very disappointed with Hale Center Theater's LACK of customer service, professionalism, and concern for those with disabilities that I was shown by their representatives today. I ordered tickets for my in-laws who are Deaf back in October to see Tarzan as a Christmas gift. Upon purchasing the tickets through the box office, I was given specific days that an ASL interpreter would be available, chose that specific date and time (there was only one available in January), and it was confirmed that an interpreter was going to be there.

Due to changes with COVID19 I received an email, as many others did, that capacity needed to be tightened and that my in-laws seats had changed. This was concerning because I had purchased box seats where they could sit comfortably with an interpreter visible so I called back in and was astounded to hear that they had no record of an ASL interpreter being requested or scheduled. This shows an extreme lack of concern for those with disabilities as well as a lack of organization and professionalism. I was able to work it out with the customer service rep to have their seats reinstated as originally purchased and again confirmed that an ASL interpreter would be there that day.

I called in on Monday before the Saturday show just to double-check that the interpreter was scheduled because I didn't want my in-laws to show up to the theater with no interpreter. Again I was told that there was no interpreter shown for those seats or that day. Super frustrated at this point, I asked to speak with a manager who told me that the interpreter cancelled on them and there was nothing they could do but refund our tickets. Again, they showed a lack of customer service and respect for those with disabilities because no one had or intended to contact us about this change that I had now requested and confirmed twice with their box office. They were just going to let my in-laws show up to the theater and be surprised to not have an interpreter there for them. Completely unacceptable!

In the American Disabilities Act, it states that those who are Deaf (among other disabilities) have the right to proper accommodations for communication. Even if the scheduled interpreter had cancelled, by law they are responsible as a company to provide accommodations for those with disability. There are SEVERAL companies and services in the Utah County and Salt Lake County areas that they could have contacted and arranged for a licensed and professional interpreter to be available to them, but they said they could not do that. The manager didn't even try to figure out another solution or offer any other accommodations.

Hale Center Theater needs to establish a better system for requests regarding those with disabilities or special needs. It is discrimination if they do not put serious effort into providing as good of an experience for these persons as they do any other patron. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the way they handled this situation and I will not be able to support them any more as they are a company who show little concern for their patrons and their needs.

We were dissapointed at the small production and stage of "A Christmas Carol" the show and actors were still wonderful. It was a larger production and stage in West Valley, with the new larger facility in Sandy, we were expecting something else that would have topped the old facility. With this new venue in Sandy and being December you would think that "A Christmas Carol" would be the highlight and get a bigger more grand production and stage in the new Sandy venue.... that's the ONLY reason for 3 stars... the new Hale Center is a beautiful building and parking is easy. Maybe next year??? (Hint hint)

4 pm performance yesterday. Those of us with handicap plates know to go early. Little did we know the BIG THEATER and there for every parking space including handicapped (*sans plates or placards) was completely filled for a conference.
Even employees at the Theater said they struggled to find parking and still get to work on time
That was a first.
The old theater was more handicap and "friendly" to those who struggle with mobility issues...but, the performances are INCREDIBLE

Hale Center Theatre is an amazing venue, and as season pass holders, I can say that we've never attended a less-than-amazing show. The difficulty is in dealing with an employee base who cares nothing about their patrons. Promises to resolve ticket issues, with absolutely no follow up, has been (and continues to be) extremely frustrating. Additionally, the online portal is horrendous. It's time to appreciate your patrons, and make changes to your website and staff, if you desire long-term relationships with your patrons.

Look - we LOVE HCT, no question. The centre stage is out of this world amazing. Thank you thank you thank you for bringing this type of quality to Utah, and particularly to the South end of SL County. HOWEVER....3 stars for the VERY uncomfortable seating in the jewel box theater. WHY? Very little leg room, and stiff as a board backs. Just makes it very uncomfortable.

We have always enjoyed Hale, but recent visits have been really poor experiences where staff (Ron was absolutely horrible to people. It's all anyone talked about at intermission and after) are berating, yelling at everyone (especially kids) who were adjusting masks. Everyone around us was shocked at the treatment people were receiving. I recommend not going until Covid is over or staff are replaced.

Watched Aida here and was amazed by the venue. We were in the farthest row away from the stage and still had a great view. There were a lot of impressive aerial acrobatics and the performance was great.

Nice new theater. I was disappointed in the food and beverages available, and parking needs to be organized by traffic control. I found that the plays in the High schools have better seating and many more seats at a better price .Actors are great and over all pretty good theater.

Hale theatre has been going strong for 30 years! Their new location in Sandy is incredible! They even have a free parking garage now. Their level of professionalism is the finest anywhere. Easy access from I-15 and many restaurants to choose from in the nearby Southtown Mall. This is really just the absolute finest theatre experience you can have.

Nice variety of shows here, but the seating is cramped. Every time someone needs to get passed you, you have to stand up. There is also no place to put drinks - a theater with no drink holders that has a concession stand? Ridiculous!

There is no bad seat in the WVC house, as they make it a point to face every way in the round theater. The unique theater style provides an opportunity for a lot of creativity in stage directions. I have enjoyed every experience there. I loved their production of To Kill a Mockingbird especially.

The new venue was such a good idea. The seating is far better, allowing better views of the stage from any seat and more leg room. Multiple theaters allow for more shows. Because of that, no longer will the only show during December be a Christmas Carol.

They've picked a good central area of the valley. Parking feels a lot safer, and traffic moved surprisingly quickly after our show.

Perhaps the only downside to the change is that the cast doesn't seem to be available after the shows anymore.

The cast of the Newsies was incredible. The stage and set and unique experience that Hale's round theater provides is just wonderful. I'm always excited to see how they will handle such classic shows and elaborate sets, and as always they do not disappoint. I definitely recommend it

We've gone to a play and a wedding reception. Both were great experiences. I have never seen a greater variety of finger foods at any reception I have attended. Endless variety of cheeses, meats, fruit, desserts and drinks. The staff kept it well stocked. The play was very professionally acted and fun .

Very helpful staff. They love what they do. The theaters are incredible truly state of the arts. Get it? Instead of state of the art , I wrote state of the arts , because one could argue that theater is one of the arts. Also, a word to the wise: if you constantly refer to the place as Hale Cent-rey Theat-rey, in conversation within earshot of the workers, they ll smile, but inside, you can tell: they. are. mad. Still love the place, though.

This is a really good theatre. The shows are generally really well done. Sometimes the selection of shows is not great, but when you go see a good one, the performance is impressive. The stage in the main theatre is unbelievable. They do such incredible things with it. The most recent show I saw had set pieces coming down and back up from the ceiling. They also dropped hundreds or thousands of ball put balls down on the stage. Very cool effect. They utilize the theatre in the round so well. Not easy to do. I haven t really been disappointed going to a show in the main theatre. Sometimes the smaller theatres have less impressive performances, but still pretty good for a local theatre.

Excellent theater in the round experience. The stage itself is very impressive with everything it can do including spinning, raising and lowering individual sections throughout the production. Nice comfortable seating. There is a concession stand with snacks and fountain drinks (Coke products + regular Dr Pepper).

Loved going here! We saw a play back in April and had so much fun. The talent was incredible and the building is beautiful. Lots of great places to sit and enjoy the grounds outside as well.

The performance was extraordinary. It brought back all the wonderful memories from my childhood of the story of Scrooge. One concern I did have is that I have purchased four tickets. We were on the second to top row on the left-hand side. I guess it was a handicap seat and it was just a chair a folding chair that my nephew had to sit on. I had paid full price and I was a bit disappointed that it would not be a comfortable chair for the performance. It might be important to check that situation for a future performances. when people pay full price what do they have to sit on a folding chair?

I've taken my 4 year old to three different performances now and each time have been absolutely blown away by the quality of the production, acting, costumes and decorations. Huge thank you to everyone at HCT for making each theater experience so magical and memorable for me and my family!
