The acting was pretty good, singing was too. We saw Tuck Everlasting, and years before that I saw Singing in the Rain performed here. Seats surround the stage, and unique sets make it really charming. Ticket prices are between $25-35, which as a student is high, but if we were more affluent, I suspect we'd love to come more often.

Don t let the exterior fool you this theater looks tiny (and it is smaller than the average theater), but the shows here are incredibly! You can expect to see extremely talent across, well-choreographed dance numbers, detailed sets, and an incredible use of the small space.

Such fun, good quips, banter, loved the acting. It is a very intimate audience so every seat is good and you are right there in the magic. Great prices, great performance! My wife and I have a new tag line from this last show

We saw the play the man with the pointed toes. It was very good and had us laughing most the night. The acting was very good and made the play very enjoyable to watch. We are very glad we purchased season tickets this year.

The theatre is small, but it makes it more personal, and you feel more like part of the story. We saw The Addams Family and Catch Me if You Can, and they were amazing performances! The actors/actresses have been acting for years and seem completely natural onstage. The staff is very friendly too.

The talent here is always incredible! I love the history of their small stage and will probably be sadly nostalgic when they move to their new location. You will love the light-hearted performances such as comedies and musicals that are always family friendly. Ticket prices are a bargain.

Probably the worlds smallest stage for live productions.
But the owners & actors do a fabulous job. Seating for less than 100 patrons. You are so close to the action from any seat there. Really decent prices. Family friendly, clean shows.
Not enough parking so you may have to park on the street.

At first glance I tought, "This place is too small to put on a show"

Yet after being fully and completely entertained for an hour and a half; the actors, and sets, scenery, and story came to life in a manner that was as large as the story they told. Sense and Sensibility (as a comedy?)- who knew they could fit two full grown trained prancing horses, along with several forests, mansions with cottages, a fast buggy ride through the trees, a funeral, and all of Paris (gossip included) into such a cozy theater?

Secret? Rolling chairs over a full spread dinner, a puppet, and a changeable shawl with matching earrings.

If you witnessed it you'd understand.

It's great! The acting is great! The comedic timing and sets are awesome! Sometimes depending on seating it can be hard to get up during the performance to go to the bathroom, but other than that, it's a nice, small, in the round theater with great talent!

The total emersive environment was out of this world. It doesn't matter which production you see, it will be an amazing experience. You don't just watch a play, you experience it. 10 out of 10 for Tuesday nights Modern Milly.

You wouldn't think something so special could come from such a small building, but it's plays are always spectacular with truly remarkable talent. My wife and I absolutely love coming here to see plays.

I have been attending plays at Hale in Orem since the eighties. Always five star performances and sets. The original music is a favorite feature for me. The theater is cozy and the parking is not great on a busy night but the quality of entertainment is worth going every time.

I came here with some of the best people ever. I've been up to the theater in sandy but my first time in the one in orem. The actors have amazing talent and I loved it! The only thing that made it awful was a stupid photographer taking pictures every second. So many clicks. Even in the silent parts this lady ruined everything and I didn't like that nothing was done.

Being small is part of it's charm, but the theater is SO small it's near impossible to get out of your row without every single person between you and the aisle having to stand up. This is uncomfortable if you're the person that needs out, or annoying if you're the person making way for someone to get out/in for the fourth time. On the other hand, parking has improved. For The Odd Couple, Felix and the two girls did a great job and were very enjoyable! Oscar and the others were always at the same high pitch level and rhythm. They need to bring it down occasionally and learn to play the pause and mix up the rhythm so it doesn't get to be just noise. I've thoroughly enjoyed most of the performances here over the years, but this was my least favorite.

Let me first say that I enjoy the Hale Center Theater in Orem. Especially for the A Christmas Carol performance. It s a fun production that I've enjoyed going to in the past.

With that said, I was very, very unimpressed with how the Theater handled its yearly A Christmas Carol performance in the midst of COVID-19. I was so unimpressed that my wife and I left early. With Utah County being listed as a County with a High Risk of transmission by the health department, the theater did not take the necessary precautions. It packed audience members into the theater till it was almost at a 100% capacity. It encouraged audience members to wear masks at all times while in the theater, but then sold refreshments which then encouraged audience members to take off their masks to eat. It also failed to actively enforce mask wearing, besides the occasional announcement. Finally, it failed to follow state guidelines for 6 feet of social distancing (assuming it doesn't have an exemption; and if it does, they should publish that and why they have an exception) for events/gatherings in counties with high transmission rates. Like I said earlier, they packed in audience members and only placed a seat of space (which couldn't have been more than 2 feet) between groups. They even failed to follow their own promise online to avoid seating audience members in the front row. It was not a safe, smart, or well thought out setup for a state struggling with COVID. I hope that the Theater will take the time to come up with a better plan and to also consult state guidelines, as well as following the ones they promise audience members. Until that time, or a vaccine is widely available, I will not be recommending that anyone visit the theater. Once things improve, I'll be happy to change this rating.

This place is so cool! I saw "A Christmas Carol" here a couple weeks ago and was simply floored. The production was far more professional than I expected. The way they have the stage in the center of the audience is incredible! So much fun! It really pulls you in! I had such a great time that I'm planning on going again with my whole family!

Zero respect for their artists. The actor s union, Actors Equity Association, currently does not allow for professional actors to perform. Hale Center has such little regard for their actors, they will not abide by professional standards.

Tickets can be pretty pricey, but the shows are phenomenal! They really know how to book casts who know what they re doing. Parking is easy and my son is always so excited to wait outside and meet some of the cast after shows.

Great shows. Typically awesome actors. A little pricey for the venue. It's old and dingey and the space is just not ideal for a theater. You could end up sitting behind a pillar and having to crane your neck to see.

I love this theater! It's set up in a round so you feel close to the stage wherever you sit. There are great actors and plays there. It's fun to take the kids to plays too. I always enjoy my time there.

It may be a small and cramped facility, but it makes up for it in quality of acting. We saw the Odd Couple and laughed our heads off. It was a great night out. I can't wait to see their new theater they are planning to build at University Place.

The Hale Center Theater provides so many good plays an experiences for both adults and children. The staff are so kind and help out with everything you could think of. If you want a good seat you'll need to get tickets early. The experience you get here is an immersive one where you feel like you are an actor in the stage in some exciting show. It's fun for everyone.

This was my first time here and upon first impression it is really small and run down so wasnt expecting much. We watched a performance of newsies that was spectacular. The small area actually ended up being really nice and allowed the cast to easily be able to interact with the crowd. Additionaly it made it so every seat had a clear view of everything going on. The other employees were also very friendly and the conessions were reasonably priced. We will be back for the next performance and probably bring friends with us.

The actors and actresses are very professional and do an amazing job. The sound and technology guy have out done themselves every time I have gone and I look forward to going again :)

I saw The Christmas Carol here! It was so freaking awesome! The cast was extremely talented. I didn't know how the stage was set up so the audience sits around the actors. I was very impressed with all the set changes and the costumes were very beautiful. I definitely recommend this theater.

Hands down, the best entertainment bang for your buck anywhere. We buy season tickets each year and have never seen a poor production. The very small stage might deter some people, don't let it fool you, every seat is good and you feel like you are part of the show.

There is nothing like a small theatre experience. Everytime I come I'm always super impressed with the creativity of the directors, specifically Christopher Clark, and how well each detail is executed perfectly!

We love coming to plays here! We've had season tickets for the past two years and everyone we have come the performance had always been great. The cast is all children ages anywhere from 5-18, they are very well done. My kids love seeing other children their age perform. This a wonderful place for families!
