My wife has been taking my Movado watches to this business for years now. She just recently picked up one that needed repair on the band. Their work is amazing, their prices are not only reasonable but outrageously inexpensive and their customer service is so professional. Thank you guys for always asking care of my heirlooms. Ya rock.

Not very friendly when I went in. Gentleman was very short and didn't ask one question, asked for a card and he seemed bothered. First time there and will not be back. The lady was friendly because she may have noticed the Platinum diamond president I had on that I planned to add to my 10 deep collection but they lost out.

This review is about the quality of work and the excellent staff they have working for them.
I have had four different employees great me and take the time to understand what I needed and what I am looking for.

Four (4) years ago I took in my 1973 Double-Red Sea Dweller for repair. The workmanship was fantastic and I have not had any issues with the watch. Last week I took a Piaget watch and my wedding band in for work. I received both of them back ahead of schedule and the workmanship of course was fantastic. They also have some quality jewelry and high-end watch.

You might say I may be a little slow about giving out reviews. But this one has some time behind it.

I just recently completed my second watch purchase with Hal. When the time came to find just the right piece Hal went out of his way to find me exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a vintage Rolex President with pie pan dial. In short order I had a text message from Hal letting me know he had found what I was looking for. The piece was so far beyond my expectations I am absolutely over the moon.

When the time came to close the deal Hal gave me a tremendous deal and saved me thousands of dollars over what the market would have had me pay anywhere else. His attention to detail and my needs as a customer are so far and above what anyone else would offer I can't imagine shopping for a used Rolexes anywhere else. Thanks to him and his team for being people you can trust in the business.

If I could give you 6 stars I would! My friend Tarang earned my trust since day one. He has not only helped me but all my friends that I have sent to him. With Tarang I go with my eyes close knowing that I will always be treated fairly and more and will get the best value. He is not only a smart businessman but a very genuine person so takes the time to know and care about his clients. Everyone at Hal Martin is so very kind but I always choose to deal with Tarang. He is a friend to me and recommend him to everyone who wants to make a purchase or sell.

This is one of the most reputable high end watch dealers in the USA. These folks are highly knowledgeable, professional and most of all honest. I have more than 30 years buying selling and collecting high end watches and the offers I have received from the folks at HAL'S have been competitive and thus far I have sold almost every watch I have offered to them. If you are looking for good honest folks that buy and sell at fair competitive prices then this is your place. I normally do not take the time to write reviews but I thought this review was absolutely needed after reading a review that in my opinion was one sided and unfair. I have bought and sold for years and hold a GIA certification. I would trust this business at any level.

I wanted to thank Barbara Bailey for going above and beyond finding a difficult-to-obtain strap for my wife's Reverso. I know it took a lot of effort and Barbara really came through. The staff (and selection) at Hal's is top notch!

I accidentally got my watch wet and it started to fog underneath the glass to the point where I couldn't even see the face of the watch anymore. I stopped by Hal Martin's and was greeted with smiles. They were very accommodating and were able to help me right away. They are top notch individuals and of high quality as a store. I recommend anyone looking for serious watch/jewelry repair or considerations to check out this place. Best in Houston I have experienced so far!

Referred to me years ago by someone I trust, Hal Martin has handled my Rolex servicing for a while now. They told me it would be 6-8 weeks on my most recent experience with them but they turned it around in 3. I asked them about it and they said they like to underpromise and over deliver. Sounds like my kind of folks.

Took a Ladies Rolex watch in for repair that was purchased there in 2003 for 3000.00+. Had watch in once before for repair about 5years ago ( 500.00 ). Also purchased a diamond bezel for the watch from them for 1200.00 three years ago. Repair estimate came back at 1400.00+. When I told them I thought that was extremely high,they basically said that what the repairs would be. I then asked them what they would give me for the watch if I wanted to trade it in on another Rolex- they offered 1000.00 with the 1200.00 diamond bezel I purchased 3 years ago. So basically, they were saying the watch was worthless and the bezel was worth 200.00 less than what I paid for it. Extremely disappointed in Hal Martin's.

I took some jewelry in of my grandmother s to have sized, repurposed and redesigned and I can t tell you enough how happy I was! I took pieces in that I didn t know what to do with, and Taran just ran with his ideas. Literally had tears in my eyes when I picked up my last piece. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

I have bought several Rolex watches from Hal over the years and had him service our watches. Always excellent service and excellent work.

Just bought my first Rolex from them. The experience was fantastic. The customer service was excellent and they were very knowledgeable.

Even though they don't open until 9, I got there at 830 just planning to wait. They were nice enough to take me in early. I needed a watch band adjustment for a watch I didn't even get from them and they fixed it and made sure it fit perfectly. As if that was not enough, they did not charge me! Excellent customer service. While I waited, I took a look at some Rolex's, and the sticker prices were VERY reasonable. I'm buying my next watch here.

I went into this store to get a strap adjusted on a Swiss watch. I own a few high end watches and am aware of prices.

I went to purchase a panatime leather strap for my watch and the gentlemen behind the counter proceeded to tell me it would cost me $150. The same strap goes for $35 on their website. I offered $45. And he kicked me out.

Superb service! Many places in the city to patronize for watches and the like but where HM s excels is in their service. They just simply shine in this area. Also, expertise! With their years in business & on hand experts, they ve forgotten more about what they do than some of these other guys even know. This combination makes them a standout in the industry. Staff was kinda rude, but that's fine with me their the ones who lost a sale not me ! I purchased my Rolex somewhere else.

their offer on my watch was 20% lower than everywhere else. Even pawn shops offered more than they did. Their watches are over priced by at least 10% and they all have terrible attitudes. They act like they are better than you and act like they don't want your business. Worst Rolex dealer in Houston.

Mr. Patel assisted me with adding a link to a band I inherited that did not fit my wrist. He was very nice and very knowledgeable about all the watches. A couple years a go my wife and I bought 3 Breitlings from here all which work flawlessly to this day. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Best pre-owned watch dealer in Houston. Tarang is an encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to the pre-owned watch market. I received a great price for my pre-owned Omega that I was ready to part with. And when it comes time to purchase a new pre-owned in a few months this is the only place that will get my business.

Outstanding and professional. I had a Patek watch that I needed serviced and polished for an event. The completed the job ahead of schedule, the watch works perfectly and it looks new. They even gave me a travel case for it. I ve brought them several watches and the experience has always been outstanding. I replaced my mother-in-law s Rolex there and the selection and pricing is terrific. I trust them completely.

Terrible customer service by email. That tells me enough to stay away from the showroom in person, as you should too.

What a waste of my time trying to deal with this company. Sent them a serious inquiry with 5 buying questions about a Rolex Day Date on their website while in transit to IAH.

They never got back to me. Explained I was staying in Galveston for the long weekend and would make the 1.5 hour drive in to view/purchase the item if they could answer my questions. Concerns which by the way any used Rolex buyer would need answers to.

Govern yourself accordingly if you decide to even go near this joint.

I have an Omega that was never accurate from the first time I got it. I also had it serviced by Omega under warranty and it still wasn't accurate. The watch was giving me more problems and now after the warranty expired, I thought I would get it serviced at Hal Martin's based on all the positive reviews. The cost to get it serviced was expensive but I believe it was fair based on the movement inside the watch. I also had to patiently wait a few months for the work to be completed, which was expected. But it was all worth it, the watch is now very accurate and looks great. It feels like a new watch.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! My husband and I have been to Hal Martin's a few times....but today I ran into their store because my husband's clasp on his watch kept slipping. I thought i was going to have to drop it off and make another trip to come back and get it. NOT SO!!!!! The lady behind the counter was wonderful. She said "wait a minute and let's see what we can do"--5 minutes later she was back with my watch--clasp fixed and a new battery to boot!!! NO CHARGE!!!! Next year, our daughter graduates and we are thinking about getting her a VERY NICE watch. Guess where we will be shopping!!! THANK YOU HAL MARTIN'S!!!

This place is a local institution. They treat you like a very old friend every time you walk in. Even if you aren't a Rolex person, They even treated my casio watch like it was a Rolex. I've been coming to this store for several years and always enjoy it. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable, the watch selection is top notch, and the hot sauce is great.

I tell my friends and family to only service or buy watches here. One time a place broke a Sapphire link trying to change my Rado battery and that was what eventually led me to Hal's.

I came into Hal Martin s with two Rolexes, one that needed to be appraised and the other that needed an exterior polish. Chris treated me extremely well, was enthusiastic about their inventory and the work requested was 10/10. My watch looks like it just came out of the box now.

Best of all, they charge a reasonable price. That s not to say it s cheap, but not expensive. They re very fair.

I have been going here for several years for new batteries and basic watch questions. Six years ago we had some issues with my engagement ring. We were able take it to them where they reset the main diamond and replaced some of the chips and then provided an appraisal for my insurance company. Thwy were great throughout the whole process and very reasonably priced.

Went in to get an appraisal/authenticity done on a watch I had bought somewhere else. Liz was great - spent the time to make sure I was well educated on my new watch, got it tested and appraised for me while I waited. I asked if the watch needed to be serviced (a $500 expense) and was told to not get it serviced until I had problems with it. They easily could've collected $500 from me (I wanted to ensure the watch was taken care of) but chose to earn my lifetime business instead - customer service that every business shouldstrive to give their customers.

Always a great experience at Hal Martin s. I dropped my Rolex off for a few repairs. They gave me an idea of cost, then emailed within the time frame they promised with an exact cost and the time frame to get the repairs done. Cost and time frame were as promised. Picked up my watch today. Looks brand new. Repairs also have some year warranty. Would not leave my watch anywhere else.
