Have been paying for a policy for months and debit...

Have been paying for a policy for months and debited from my account. They send me a bill for the last 2 months they already deducted from my account and tell me my new policy number, with no contact information on this bill and it is signed Sincerely Accounting Department. I then google and get their phone number and they are closed at noon on Friday's. What a joke for a insurance company!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. This policy is for outpatient surgery and they just keep saying they need more info, they didn't need more info to take my money, they are good at that , but not good at paying claims. This is a bad insurance, do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

This company has horrible customer service. We have been paying for their accident insurance for 9 years. In that time, I have submitted 4 claims, of which they paid 1. Each time you call for the status, they say they need you to send it again, they say they'll call you back. They never call back. I added my daughter in 2012, now they claim she isn't on the policy and refuse to pay for stitches she received in her lip from a fall. I have been sent to collections on account of this company refusing to pay the claims I submit, then I have been forced to pay the doctors before it actually hits my credit report.

Stay away from this company! They will not pay your claims, and ignore your requests!

My family is covered by their incredible Precision Care cancer plan, and yours should be too! GTL is a family owned company, and they ve always made us feel like part of their family. Sent claim in 4 times before paying-raised their rate after paying in for awhile-showed list of people in neighbor that purchased their policy-misleading and make sure if you get the policy that you will die before 85 or it is all gone. Spend your money on vacation and enjoy life. Then, when you cancel, no personal contact, just letter telling you policy end date. ******* It was a month ago I posted the above statement. I was contacted and informed they no longer use that the company that sold me the policy. I don't know the details but it makes me think they knew there might be a problem and fixed their side but did not try to help us. I wish they had a minus star for them. No, I do not recommend this company.

Customer service finally got his policy to him by mail but his legal name and email are incorrect. VERY poor customer service!!!! Customer service is always helpful and the website is so easy to navigate. Claims are reviewed in a timely manner and there is NEVER a problem with any issue.

This place deserves 0 stars! I have never been so disrespected in my life! I called to cancel my insurance the day after I got it. I was belittled by Robert (If that is his real name). I asked to speak to a manager and got the same treatment. One said I was a joke.

The person I set it up with was named Josh (for all I know it could've been him because he told me the number was his direct line)

All the extra lip I got was uncalled for. Perhaps they need to be trained better?? Idk but customer service SUCKED.

Agents apparently lie to get your business (although I believe it just the company practice)!! When we took out a cancer policy almost 6 years ago we were told that the premium rate would be locked in and would never change. We have never had a single claim on our policy yet we got a letter in the mail that our premium rate would be increasing. I called customer service to question it and was told that unfortunately our policy is subject to rate increases so they weren't sure why the agent told us it wasn't. However, I do not believe this is just a result of the agent supposedly lying. I know others who have taken the same policy through different agents and they were told the same thing up front. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and will be moving my policy to a more trustworthy company.

GTL's product's are substantially better than their competitors however where they may stand out most is their support and service specifically Demetri Simos. I've been in the business 12 years and I have never dealt with a carrier rep who was more invested in his company, willing to go above and beyond and do absolutely anything for his agents & agencies and genuinely cares. GTL continues to be our "Go To" carrier as they have always been steady and consistent with their rates and products and we have always been able to assure our agents they are doing business with a good reputable & stable company. Highly recommended!

Which took 3 weeks before the third party submitted information to this company. Finally , after 3 weeks no death certificated had arrived , I just send my death certificate because it was taking so long for there third party submitted there information . GTL finally rec d/c and supposedly process everything on Oct 11 sent out on 12 to me an c third party. My wife and I have each had GTL Medigap policies for many years, at least 10, and have not had a single problem. The payments to our providers for 5 serious surgeries and many office visits have always been accurate with no complaints. Over the years there have been increases in premiums but infrequently and in line with Medicare. We very highly recommend GTL and wish it were still available for our friends here in Vermont.

I have sent the detailed information to the Guarantee Trust Life from the hospital for the surgery that I had at Duke Hospital and was told it does not covered by a letter from Guarantee Trust Life. I spoke with Stephanie at Guarantee in advance to let her know and the details show surgery but denied. I repeatedly gave my policy number and still denied. I also had surgery at Mercy Atrrium hospital on March 30 and went through the same thing and then was told the case closed with multiple denials for the surgeries I have endured and there has been 3 with different responses from different representatives. All information was given as required but pettiness does not account when details are provided from hospitals due to patient disability. Using a third party for information from PCP is against HIPPA policy.
