Im Russell and We live out in the country and we have had different internet services and have been very dissatified even to the point where we would not even try to get internet anymore. We decided to try G tech and we watch movies everyday with no problem and we even brought back movie night for me and my wife and grand kids here at home. I called G tech and talked to a girl named Terra to tell them thank you for the great professional service.

I mean its not the best or the absolute worst service out there but I do love their customer service everytime I had a issue they always send someone out right away. Where I live when its windy the service stops completely and I'm unable to use my TV which is all wifi based which sucks. I believe I got the second highest package it's around $90 and still gives me some issues. But at least it's better than Hughesnet

Been with them since 2013, unfortunately I haven't figured out why I stuck with them. Internet is awful, I'm not receiving the upload and download speeds I'm supposed to. Everything is constantly buffering and playing multiplayer games on their service is horrifying. Their customer service is alright takes a while to get a hold of them unfortunately and a very few know/understand what they are doing. I currently have the silver package $85 a month and they suggested I pay an extra $10 to be able to play with a better connection online.

I've had internet service with Gtek for a couple of years and have been impressed with their customer service. I received a call from them two days ago stating that they would like to do some maintenance on the equipment. Apparently there were trees that had grown and were causing interference with my signal strength. Russell came out today and spent three hours looking for the prime spot to put the satellite without having to put it in the middle of the yard and/or use guidewires. He answered all the questions I had and was very professional.

We have GTEK for quite sometime now and just started experiencing some issues with service being dropped... so we upgraded our package thinking that was the issue and still no change... so we called to have a technician come out and get the issue fixed..
needless to say the package we had before upgrading was just fine for us and all we needed was a static ip for our sons gaming system... the technician checked all equipment and answered any and all questions we had, his name was Hector J.
Long story short... great company to have and they take care of their customers...
Great service. Our installation tech named Russell was very helpful knowledgeable and pleasant. We were amazed how quickly he climbed our chimney for mounting our equipment. He is a true "Spiderman". We are very pleased.
We have been customers for 5 years. Lately our service was getting really slow. Wasn t sure if we had too much on the WiFi but I placed a service request anyway. The tech came out after accommodating our schedule- and did an awesome job. He found the problem and fixed it in a minimal amount of time. Our speed increased by over 5 times what it was! I pay for the best service available, and don t get close to what I pay for!! I m suppose to get 25 mbs and after two speed checks it showed; 2.6 mbs and 3.3 mbs. We have had nothing but problems with GTEK. I m tempted to see if the local news or the Better Business Bureau might be able to help with the problem. I will most definitely be looking for other options once my contract expires!!!!! Just sick and tired of having to deal with the same problems over and over!!!!

Installation, setup and internet service was effortless. The techs were friendly, honest and helpful. So far I m getting a strong bandwidth signal and I m rural. I recommend Gtek over any other fast internet service.
I ve been with Gtek for a while now a little over a year.my internet service has gone out at least six to eight times some for mor then 2 days. No one to answer the phone after hours, I believe it s time for a new internet provider
Works great when it works however it doesn't work almost as much as it works. Threaten to to take them to court to get out of the contract and the response I get is "it clearly states in your contract sometimes service may be out". Don't feel that having problems multiple times a week falls into the sometimes category. I think the contract should state that you will have Internet sometimes
Gtek is my only option. If I had another option, I would go with anything else. The internet is slow even with the highest plan. There are outages frequently. Their coverage is spotty at best and cannot keep up with all the people now forced to do work/school at home. The technicians are friendly, which I why I rated a 2, but the internet service is terrible. If I had another option I would go there.

Service usage dropped 4 months in a row they sent a tech out who claimed my television was the issue and then wanted to charge me 150.00 to send a second tech because I didnt have there 2.99 protection plan which I never was offered to begin with.. I told them I would pay the fee if the problem could be proven it was on my side but if it was proven to be on there side I wanted a credit for the past four months which they refused piss poor customer service would be 0 stars if I could.
I'd give it a zero if I could. Constant outages, slow speeds, overly expensive, and support that doesn't know a damn thing about anything internet related. Absolutely terrible.
I loved Gtek. I own a condo that I rent out and gtek made my condo rent-able by offering internet at a real bargain price ($16.99). Everyone wants to have internet on their vacations and those without, get bad reviews.
I had no choice in my complex's decision to change to another provider but it is better for the complex that now everyone will have internet paid for by HOA dues.
Every person at gtek from customer service to tech support was great. The last person was Rene and she was equally as great.
I've had their service for over 3 years. Problems are rare, and usually fixed quickly. Only had 1 instance where that didn't hold true, but Coy find the solution and solved the problem-- so I think they've earned the rating and my continued business!

Called to ask when my service would be installed, and the answer was "We will get there when we get there, you are in a list" and then proceeded to hang up on me. Not even kidding. Seriously wish I could rate negative stars.

Have had this service for a year and a half. Worked great first couple months, then suddenly no speed. Had repair ppl out over next few months, come to finally say they could not deliver the speed I was paying for so they lowered my plan. So don't know how many months exactly I paid for something I didn't get, but think around 3. After that, it started going down almost every single day. Maybe one day a week it won't go down. Always a long wait with customer service, and you get a different story every time. I have been told they do not credit for time down, which I think is ridiculous, especially when they can see I have to call in every day, sometimes multiple times in a day. I work from home, 2 jobs and rely on this service. I have searched for another provider, unfortunately, there is not another option for me right now. If you have an option of ANY other provider, I would stay away from this one. Just my experience and my opinion.

never have internet and when you call them they say a tower is down ever single time and the want you to pay for something you can not use and I am getting very frustrated with them already

Don't do it!! The service sucks for one and for two they recently billed me 2x on two separate occasions claiming I'm on auto pay when I know damn well I'm not!! I just officially filed a dispute and will be finding a new provider at the end of this month.
Robert was a great technician & very efficient in his work. He was very thorough in explanations & we were extremely satisfied with how easy he made everything.
G-Tek service is very unreliable. When I signed up, I was told I was in a "2x speed area" meaning I could get 30 mb/sec. I've yet to see a speed over 12 mb/sec. Not to mention the constant outages. I hope they get better soon. Because, right now, they suck.
I have no other choice but to use gtek; I hate it would not recommend it to anyone. I have call many times because it lages, we can t watch movies, play games browses the Internet without it lagging.
They come out or even when I call they say it is my fault because to many devices are conacted. Well I disconnected all devices and guess what, still lages. Doesn t take a rocket scientist to see that it is not my fault. So if you have a choice of something else take it.

I'm giving this company a 2 star rating because at least the customer service was ok. I've been dealing with issues for a month now and everytime I call, my tower is ALWAYS down. I don't know how the tower could be down EVERY time I call. Not only that, but I work from home and it was brought to my attention that my internet speeds were slow. Did a speed test and sure enough they were. I averaged at about 4mbps. I upgraded from the Gold Plan to the Platinum Plan and pay 140 a month. Service is terrible and sometimes it completely drops. No one ever has a direct answer for me. Saying "the tower is down" now just sounds like their default thing to say when they cant figure out the issue:(

(11/13/19)Have to edit my review on this service. While Gene did an awesome job doing the install. The internet service is absolute garbage. There is no consistency in speeds. I'm paying for the top level package (25Mbps) and during the evening hours, I'm lucky to get 10Mbps download. I've had the service for 3 days now and I already hate it. I would much rather be on DSL, That is at least a consistent speed. I might be forced to cancel out of my agreement and go with the other wireless provider in my area.

I purchased a home in the Lake Corpus Christi area recently. Gtek is the best internet service with the best speeds and no cap on the data you use. They arrived early for the installation appointment, they were highly professional and my service is working exceptionally well. I highly recommend them for your internet needs especially if you live in a rural area.
I contacted Gtek and was confused with the different quotes and plans they provided, especially incorrect info, until I got in contact with Tara. She cleared things up for me, was patient and provided me with excellent services to all my needs! Thanks Tara for being so kind and helpful when the other Reps weren't. I have been a customer for 2 and 1/2 years. I always paid my bill on time. The payment for Junes bill was due, on May 25th. I paid that bill, and then decided to cancel my service on June 4th. I decided to go with a significantly cheaper internet provider, with 6 times the speed I was currently receiving at gtek. My bill went from 141.85 to 95. I called and asked for a prorated refund on my monthly bill, and was told, "we don't do partial refunds." That doesn't make sense, doesn't seem right or ethical. I paid for a whole months service, and only received 6 days of service before cancellation of the service. I would highly advise anyone that if you are considering gtek, to search for other options before signing up for an expensive service, with low bandwidth speeds, and a lack of ethical business practices.
I am ALWAYS having issues with Gtek. Always seems like at least 2 weeks out of the month I have some kind of connection issue. And I can never get ahold of someone right away.
My technician Nathan installed our service. He was very professional and answered all questions we had.
Robert came to install Gtek at our house and he was super helpful and made the process really easy and simple. The only thing I noticed is we are supposed to have both a 2G and 5G signal, but after he set up our modem, we only have one signal, I plan to look into this more though. The service is honestly so great. We switched over from HughesNet (which had absolutely horrible service for high prices and poor customer support), and we couldn't be happier with Gtek. They are super friendly and give you what you pay for and more.
