Constant connectivity issues. Internet has been down for 2 days as of right now. Losing internet for a couple hours is normal with this company, also will not receive any discounts for the 2 days of internet service that has not been provided to ALL of its customers.

Marcus did a great job of getting the internet to work for me again. One of the only technicians that has come out willing to troubleshoot and fix the problem. I give him 5 stars. The only reason for the 4 star rating is because gtek troubleshooting over the phone needs some work.
Just got set up today and I already love it! Not only is the WiFi fast and easy to access but the service was remarkable. I had an employee named Robert who helped me and made sure I had all my questions answered all while keeping his business completely professional. I would also like to point out that gtek accommodates to any requests. For example I didn t want the disk on the roof and he did everything he could to make sure my request was fulfilled. I would totally recommend his service and just gtek in general to anyone. Thanks Gtek!!!
Where do I start?! Our experience this morning with the GTek Technician (Robert sorry I didn t get your last name but you know who you are) has been all around extremely pleasant. From the start he was super friendly and helpful. He called in the morning to give us a time of when he would arrive so we could be ready and he was on time!! A miracle to this Detroiter who In the past has waited over 4hrs for Comcast to do a service call and that s if they showed at all on the day you had arranged. The install was neat and easy. Thank you Robert for being polite, punctual, and personable! My husband and I are thankful to you and your company for restoring our Internet so we can work form home in these trying times. After trying three other companies to no avail I was hopeless! I just couldn't get internet at my home. I was either too far from a tower or had obstacles blocking my way. I saw a Facebook ad for GTEK and decided to give it a shot. A WONDERFUL technician named Javier Cano came out to my home and did a quick install. I had internet in about an hour and the quality of his work was comparable to none!!!! The wiring was straight with the lines of the house, the holes were sealedtight, the placement of the radio could not have been better. My expectations were exceeded all the way around. He was knowledgeable with all questions I had and extremely kind to my 4 yr old that had a bunch of her own questions to ask him! I would get on my roof and shout this to anyone that could hear, the experience with the technician and install couldnt have gone better.

Its really difficult to run a business when the internet is CONSTANTLY going down, it's like pulling teeth to get it fixed. If it was up to me I would've had service cancelled a long time ago. Spectrum is better.
weird ... they took my first review down. horrible customer service and actual internet service. Pay for 25 mps down and get 1 to 3. called to tell them wsd thinking about leaving they said nothing...not well lets see if we can help not sorry...nothing. after a bit they said they could connect me to the disconnect department. wow. funny thing is they always manage to take their payment on time. fortunately they are not the only game in my area.
Have had GTEK for more than 2 years and have had multiple episodes of slow speeds or total loss of service. I am on the third tower and still not getting near the service that I pay for. If it were possible, I would rate GTEK service a NEGATIVE 10. If you can find another provider use them.
Not a pleasant experience with Gtek. For 3 weeks iPads and I phones have intermittent wifi connection. 3 weeks and 8-10 phone calls and have gotten nowhere with technical support. I get told to call the router manufacturer for help or call apple. If I told my customers to call elsewhere for service. I wouldn't have any customers. Really would like to drop my service but this my only internet option. I think gtek knows they are many peoples only option outside of Corpus and don't care. Crappy internet service for three weeks but are still going to take their $85 right on time.
Just had our internet installed today, our technician Russell did a wonderful job. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and did his work in a timely and professional manner. So far the internet had been working great! Excited to see how it continues.
Also, Jeremy did a great job explaining the plans and details with me prior to choosing their services. All around great service.

This company is full of it. I'm posting their current offerings according to their sales person because they are not posting these numbers on their website, which tells me something is very fishy. Their website claims to have the fastest internet in Texas and that is a miss representation based on the speeds being offered.

I'm not sure what technology they are using but it looks like the setup antennas to a central location.
This is a problem that we are having in rural areas where low income people have to be subjected to this rip offs.
I hope Amazon, Google and Startlink hurry up so we can put these companies out of business, and if they don't do it I will do it myself. Its not that complicated!
Service is extremely unreliable. Have to call in almost every week because we have no internet service just to be told that they are having issues with the towers & service will be restored in an hour. This happens way to frequently. When we pay for a service we expect it to work at least 99% of the time not 75%. If other providers are available to you, do not choose this one. Right now we are stuck with these crooks until something better comes along.

i mean i can watch netflix, youtube and stuff like that..buts thats about it. there "Gaming packages" aren't stable enough to run online games on a console, let alone a gaming PC. i pay for 50mb for $110 a month package but only receive 10 mb.
Today we upgraded to Gtek! Robert was my tech he was so informative, fast and educated us on how to get the best out of our wifi! And the service is so much faster than Hughes net
My first experience with Gtek and I was very pleased. Robert listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for. Very professional and polite.
Speeds are atrocious frequently completely down and other times merely KBts/s if you want to use a gaming console with them I would encourage to look elsewhere their dynamic IP forces a "Strict double NAT" rendering your console practically ineffective as far as connecting to any multi-player services however you can pay them even more money on top of your normal fee to assign you a static IP to try to help. Overall you'll have internet at times but nowhere near the bang for your buck and the "customer service" is extremely lackluster I would encourage anyone to look elsewhere first but if as a last resort try them out maybe you'll be one of the few with a positive experience as it seems there are some out there who speak highly of GTEK

Go with another company if it all possible. Constant outages and they will not credit you for a service you are unable to use days/weeks with no eta of being resolved.
Just had my new GTEK residential dsl internet installed and set up by a very nice,friendly and knowledgeable installer named Skyler. He was very thorough and professional with his installation and explanation of the service. We live in an RV park fulltime and the parks WIFI had just become very unusable most of the time,so GTEK has now started offering the parks fulltime residents the option of having there residential package installed. So far I have been very pleased with the service and it is so much better then fighting for bandwith on the WIFI. Thanks to Skyler for such a great job on doing my installation and doing it very professionally .

gtek is a sorry excuse for a company the techs are great but the inside team is horrible everytime i have an issue (once a week) they tell me its my equipment and would work better with theirs they said i could buy a router for 85 dollars but i looked them up on Amazon for 25 all this company wants to do is bleed you dry for as much money as possible and don't care about customer service. if i could rate lower then 1 star i would do not sign the gtek contract thats my advice.

Bought there gaming package didn't work had to buy a dedicated ip to work never get the speed I pay for except early in morning when less people are online during peak times when normal people are online after work I get 3mb to 10mb I pay for 25mb download when I had no internet for a week they refused to credit my account. So they charge you but don't give you what you pay for

Im Russell and We live out in the country and we have had different internet services and have been very dissatified even to the point where we would not even try to get internet anymore. We decided to try G tech and we watch movies everyday with no problem and we even brought back movie night for me and my wife and grand kids here at home. I called G tech and talked to a girl named Terra to tell them thank you for the great professional service.
Great customer service and there response time for repairs is quick but Internet is horrible. I've had several Tech come by and they blame there tower and it needing upgrades but nothing is ever done. I pay for 20 down and 5 up but only get 4 down 4 up regularly and signal always cut in and out. So if your a gamer expect disconnects frequently and enjoy youtube at 480-144p. Better than Satellite by far
Horrible do not get this service these people charge to much money for their service. The service works very well during the day time but during their peak usage hours it is unable to handle the customer load. So it is intermittent until it just eventually goes out! Then you pay $100.00 a month for service that can't be used the majority of the time. I would really do research first before I use this company.
I'm in the middle of nowhere and it works like cable. Great customer service and this internet works as well as the cable service I used to get closer to town. It also doesn't have any data caps like every other service you could get in the middle of nowhere.

Russell came out and hooked everything up and was very informative and polite. Rusell kept us posted as to when he would be arriving and was here on time. Unlike the cable companies. He was the best installation tech I have ever had the pleasure of working with. We were very comfortablehaving him on our home. All around Cool guy. Glad to finally have internet out here in the country.
Michael H at Gtek did an awesome job helping me this evening. We have not had one problem with it, until this evening after a thunderstorm. He got me up and back online in a matter of minutes.
Bad service, bad support. I get anywhere from .80 mps to 8 mps depending on the time of day. They cant fix it, and i'm paying for 15 mps service. Do not get in a contract with these people unless you don't care about the speed. I will continue to try to resolve this problem but don't think ill be getting anywhere soon. Ok, as of today 4/25/2016 they are picking up there equipment no cancellation fee thank god.
Technician was very professional it did take a while for them to come set up service which is completely understandable because of the high demand for internet.

The technician that came out to do the install was Travis and he did a fantastic job. He was prompt and courteous and did a great clean installation of the equipment on my home.

Our tech Travis McElroy was very courteous, pleasant and very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions, and explained how the system operated and how to use it to our advantage. I would highly recommend GTEK because in less than an hour, we have seen a huge improvement in our WiFi capabilities.
Awful service. Awful provider. Awful staff. My contract is finally up and attempting to find another isp. Never before have I been treated so poorly or had this poor quality of internet services. It fails on a daily basis. They never call back in a timely manner. Staff laughs at your complaints. Or, they just hang up on you. Installers will damage your property and throw pieces of guy wire in your yard for lawnmower to lauch at anything in its path. They will blame any lack of service on your equipment, not theirs even when you have replaced equipment multiple times and the issues doesn't resolve. Pretty sure I'm finally filing a civil suit for restitution. 2 years of paying for this substandard or no service at all is ridiculous and uncalled for.
Five stars because i can have fast internet at my house which i live out of town !
That being said needs to fix Ping getting overloaded at around peak times and slows down everything paying 100$ a month which i say is a steal living out of town but they need to keep up with the traffic!!
