Omni s presence at the historic property is a good thing. The upgrade was worth it. We had not stayed here in a while but were super impressed by the facilities, staff and crew. We ll done!

I'm writing this review while I'm currently in my hotel room, awake after 2:30 a.m.

I called security hours ago yet nothing has happened.

We were placed in a room with dead bolt doors to rooms on both sides of our walls. We've had people partying all night, KNOCKING ON OUR DEAD BOLT SUITE STYLE ROOM DOORS!!!, knocking on the front door to our room, and running and yelling.

A perfect night away has been ruined because our neighbors are still up yelling through suite style doors.

You would think a hotel like this would have actual walls all the way thru for people who don't request this style room.

Always said I would never use a public review for something negative.

I was wrong.

The Grove Park has had the benefit of two families that really, really loved it--Edwin Grove and his son-in-law Fred Seely, who realized the vision of his father-in-law, and the Sammons family, especially Elaine Sammons who oversaw the addition of the magnificent Spa and the renovation of the golf course. She also saw the wisdom of blending modern additions with the original arts and crafts design as much a possible. The result is a truly unique historic property that is also a major hotel capable offering convention and event goers the amenities of its superlative Spa and Sports facilities, or leisure travelers everything they could imagine and then some.

Not a 5 Starr resort. I had much better experience and amenities with Hilton. Extremely over priced on everything! a $400.0+ for a facial.. seriously! $200.0+ for a massage! How do they justify that? food and beverages way over priced. 54.00 for a steak!
Think twice about spending your hard earned money here. There are better placed with equal the views. and better amenities at more reasonable price.

This hotel is one of my favorites! Every time I stay here I have an amazing experience and each time I discover a little more about the history of the hotel! The staff is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable! The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The spa is incredible and the services they provide are awesome! The best part is that the hotel is also dog friendly!

Awesome Spa! Worth spending the day. Great options on dining that locals enjoy as much as those staying here. Wonderful history. It's worth it just to take a stroll around the hotel and if it happens to be winter time, relax by those giant fireplaces in the great hall.

This is the most awesome resort in the mountains. Very attentive and customer service is 5*. Strongly recommended the club floor as the private bar and restaurant are fantastic along with unlimited spa access.

The most amazing hotel ever!!! I dont know why I havent left a review sooner. My first time here Was in January a few years ago and they still had all their Winter decorations up. The view from the back patio is amazing and even their interior is. You have the to story spacious check in area lined with rocking chairs in front of giant fireplaces. The rooms felt so homey. We had a conference and used their conference Room. The catering was on point and everything they served us. The staff was also extremely attentive and always there to help when we needed it.
We also heard that the spa was one of the most world renowned spas that you could go to. So I treated myself to a massage and enjoyed the Jacuzzi area as well.
It's just an amazing experience from the entrance to the rooms to a conference rooms to the dining areas and to the exterior.
I cannot recommend this place enough.

The majesty...the tradition...the absolute wonder of this place...makes you want for nothing and that is special. Satisfaction is hard for the American soul and this place puts me in a place where I want for naught. The Club Floor is worth it.

Even if you only have an hour to spare, stop by and see this amazing, historic hotel. The architecture and landscaping is just jaw-dropping. There's great shops with artist's wares that have been curated very carefully. Of course, if you have the means, stay there overnight! It's an experience you won't soon forget.

Highly over rated, I was very excited to be spending my anniversary there. Next time I spend that kind of money, I am going to be at a Disney Resort. After experiencing numerous stays on property at WDW. Grove Park needs to take some customer service/ stay enjoyment hints.
Another item that was disappointing is the location of the pool area, unless you are a spa guest you have to take a shuttle to the pool/sports area. My husband booked a spa visit for me and he was encouraged by the lady who booked my spa experience to make the day of it. So all in all I spent 4 hours without my husband while meander around the resort. He didn t even get our cool treat by the pool that was included in our package.
My massage itself was wonderful. Christine was very talented compared to the many other massage experiences I ve had in the past. It would have been nice if my husband could have at least joined me by the pool. View was excellent but I can drive on the parkway for that enjoyment.
Also, when we checked out, I was told that I had been credited back for not using part of my spa package and the room incidentals from using my debit card but it is still not showing up on my bank records. That was another policy I ve never encountered. We always use a debit card as a credit card because as a couple we have avoided charge cards to be smart financially. I can tell you WDW world had no problem linking our M bands w our debit card to use around the parks without some kind of cheap motel deposit like we were teenagers that were going to break lamps.
Well, as we left we said never doing that again. We will be going back to the Mast Farm Inn next year or do a couples WDW getaway. :(

Whenever you visit Asheville, NC during the winter, you have to stop by Omni Grove Park Inn to sip hot non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverages while sitting by the fireplace or walking around and looking at the Annual Gingerbread House Competition. In addition, you should check out Elaine's Dueling Piano Bar and request songs (for an additional fee).

fantastic accommodations. Staff over the top friendly.
only issue I had was the over priced beverage menu and the sunset Terrace food should have been better. Had the Sea Bass and asparagus , both warm and raw.

An Asheville landmark. Many people hear of Biltmore, but the Omni Grove Park Inn is a remarkable gem in the Asheville crown. The resort boasts a Donald Ross golf course, a four diamond restaurant, award winning cuisine, spectacular views, and one of the top spas in the world.

Great experience at this wonderful resort. Loved the old time elevators. Staff were all perfect. Good restaurants and you can't beat the view. Have to get and uber down to Asheville if you don't have a car.

Our party of six for dinner were shocked that we would be charged $15 for parking. This does not lend to a customer friendly atmosphere. We will not be bringing guests to the Grove Park Inn again.

Summary: Do not stay here. Do not eat here.

I have no idea why this place has good reviews. The rooms here are about what you could get at a holiday Inn, maybe. It is not kid friendly at all. It is ridiculously over priced. Rooms haven't been updated in 30+ years.

We ate a Edison's which provides mediocre overpriced pseudo-southern food. If you find yourself at this hotel, do yourself a favor and eat at Homegrown for good authentic southern food for half the price.

Beautiful place, incredible view, outstanding food and drink, service great...unexpected opportunity to sit outside one evening, again the views were absolutely incredible but seeing the international space station orbiting in the sky above was clearly the cherry on top! Fabulously unique experience...you won't be disappointed! Would have loved to have had time to experience the fabulous spa! Going back for sure!

The hotel is wonderful, inside and out. What I had a problem with was the valet. I waited a good twenty minutes seeing other people after me get their cars before I had to pick up my own car. Then to have them tell me they are trying to get my car while I'm staring at them stand in a circle doing nothing next to my car. So I after the second time asking them about it they gave me the keys and I got my own car. Absolutely ridiculous to charge 25 dollars and have to pick up my own car in the end, especially after waiting that long.

Being that we aren t staying there, I was l little hesitant about checking the place out . However, there were many more people there to do the same. Out the back porch there s a cocktail deck that was sat at and enjoys the gorgeous scenery, a drink and some pretzel bites. They have a gift shop and I also got some golf apparel. They are a little limited on the ladies golf apparel but I still found what I needed to play there tomorrow.

Looked our recent stay at Royal Park Inn. Grounds were beautiful and rooms were clean and great! The museum was great! Started at 7:00 and ended at 11:00 pm. Well worth the money spent! We will be coming again in July!

Great views. Beautiful hotel. Nice spa. Our room was too close to the elevator and Club Lounge. Every morning we were there we were woken by the crew setting up the club lounge.

Historic, beautiful and the perfect place to stay. As great as the property is, the staff is even greater. David Wilkins at the front desk was amazing and helped make an anniversary trip perfect.

We were guests over Thanksgiving. Do yourself and favor and STAY AWAY on holidays, and in general. They checked us into the wrong rooms. They keys didnt work when we got to the wrong room. Then the rooms are old and run down. The bath tub was like an ice rink even with the ragged matt they give to put down. I slipped and fell and cut my shin wide open. The valet lost our car key. They messed up all our billings amongst the family and 4 rooms because they messed up at check in. Last, the food here looks good, but its sub par for the price. We ended up eating out after we tried all the restaurants. Hey, at least the drinks were ok...

The Blue Ridge Dining Room food, service, and festive holiday atmosphere was top-notch! An after-dinner tour of the Gingerbread House Competition for our Christmas party with our local small business was the icing on the cake! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Grove Park Inn!

A friend and I we're only there to watch the sunset but I can tell you there is no better view of the Asheville skyline and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The staff are so friendly and down to earth and the inn itself is second to none.

This was my second visit to the Grove Park Inn, and it did not disappoint. I was fortunate enough to have a spa treatment, the Head in the Clouds massage with Kim, and it was a fantastic experience. We did not eat at the hotel in this trip, but we enjoyed drinks at Edison with friends. Will definitely be back.

Amazing experience at The Grove Park Inn! My wife and I go every year. It was our first romantic getaway. It was where we got engaged. After getting Married in Asheville, it was where we had our Honeymoon. And we go back every year. The entire staff always does an amazing job from right when we pull up to the property through the end of our stay. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Really enjoyed ourselves at the Grove Park Spa. It was aesthetically breathtaking. They added special touches that just put it over the top, with under water music, curteous staff that kept everything stocked properly, to aromatherapy scents throughout the facility. I have it at 4 instead of 5 stars because my massage treatment was not worth $159. It was not the worst massage I've ever had, but certainly not the best. However, the customer service and the amenities available apart from the massage were spot on. Thank you Grove Park for making our special occasion a really magical day to remember.

A must-see while visiting Asheville. Make dinner reservations at the Sunset Terrance during warmer months for a truly unique Asheville experience. In the winter/holiday season, grab a spiked hot cocoa and enjoy it in front of one of the many huge fireplaces throughout the hotel.

Beautiful hotel and facility. A bit large. Actually huge. So big I was lost several times. Not the best markings for directions but every room was beautiful so exploring was not a drawback. I would definitely like to stay a night in the hotel next time I go to an event there.

The buildings are absolutely gorgeous. But for $500/night I expect sheets that are not rough due to pilling. Also, our mattress was hard as a rock. The rooms could really use a good remodel, too.

The place is special and unique. The spa is world class and the staff, especially the older workers, are the best. The restaurants are another story. Asheville has too many good place to eat to waste a dining experience. But the Great Hall is the best and the fireplaces cannot be duplicated.Strongly recommend it!!!

Spent my sixth wedding anniversary on the Sunset Terrace. Great meal and beautiful scenery. Get your reservations early to ensure a great spot to enjoy the sunset. I've still yet to stay there, but dining there for special occasions has always been a treat.

I had never been to the Grove Park Inn until last night. I was there for a convention and was in awe of the building. I got a little flustered because we were sent the a parking garage to park and it was full. But, everything was perfect and I can't wait to go back again!

Definitely my "happy place"! I begin to relax the moment I arrive at the Omni Grove Park Inn. Every thing is so clean and the staff are so helpful. The Spa is not to be missed - it is definitely "one of a kind".

Grove park inn is dope. The vue 1913 is great for having worm dance competitions on The floor, they have lots of Christmas trees around and I think you can take one from each one, Idk. But now I have a fully decorated Christmas tree at my house.

The bed and the pillows were so comfy. My boyfriend and I stayed over President's Day weekend (which also happened to include Valentine's Day) and the hotel was busy, but did not feel overcrowded and it did not impact the quality of the service. I really enjoyed the historic feel of the hotel and sitting by the fire/the live music the hotel had to offer. The staff also gave us some great local recommendations for restaurants and activities.
