Went to see National Gingerbread winners. Well worth the time.
It looked grand. Went here early in the morning but didn't get to see the mountains. Wish i could've seen more!
Thw staff was helpful with finding parking and guiding me to the event. The food was excellent. The surroundings are beautiful. The photos of famous guests provide a living history of the hotel.
Amazing facility with excellent service and amenities!
Beautiful place! Born and raised here in the mountains and I love the views this place ofters and the service. Only come here for special occasions though since it's expensive but worth it!!!
Beautiful so much history. It was nice to walk through the History of Asheville. It has great restaurants, lounges, pool beautiful hugh fire place in the lobby. And an amazing golf course
Went to see the awesome gingerbread houses. Loved it!!!
This hotel is a nightmare to work with. Our spa reservations were cancelled due to COVID, so I cancelled our stay. The stay was for May 31 weekend, and I cancelled March 26. I am still waiting for my refund of $496. I call every week and am told "7-10 business days." I do not believe they have any intention of refunding me, nor does anyone seem motivated to do anything beyond offer the typical response. I have also called OMNI guest relations, but they only put me on hold to contact the hotel directly and then give me the same "7-10 business day" response.
Great views but price value is a bit off. The rooms were a bit tired and service just could not compensate for the expense.
This place is the biggest hotel I have ever went to you should try it out
Beautiful location and amenities. Close to anything you would want to do in Asheville and the surrounding areas. Also could spend days on location with all the activities they offer. Would love to come back!
Amazing time here. We ate at the brunch buffet, The Edison (dinner) , and had room service-- all were extremely good. Views and amenities were incredible.
We went during Christmas so maybe things are different at other times of the year. Prices are too high for the level of service provided. Fighting swarms of non-guests in the lobby is unpleasant. The valet situation is stressful and chaotic. It's very cool that the hotel is historic but a room that costs almost $500 a night shouldn't have stained drop ceiling tiles. Staff was not very knowledgeable. The spa, however is very nice. I would return Mon-Thur just for the spa and skip staying at the hotel.
The hotel brought images to life of the rich in the 1920's. The staff were well trained and added to the sense luxury you seldom see today. The lobby was beautiful with giant stone fire places. The view from the patio was of a beautiful landscape, and stone steps and paths leading down to a spa and pool.
We stayed on the club floor and the room was great; very spacious and comfy. We ate at the Edison and Blue Ridge, which were both delicious. The spa was incredibly relaxing.
I was really looking forward to a special weekend getaway in the mountains at this infamous resort. But I have to say I was disappointed with the accommodations. Everyone was very friendly and I had a great time with my group. However, the hotel is extremely overpriced. I do not mind paying luxury prices for high end accomodations. But at the Grove Park you pay luxury prices for a small room that is not comfortable (too soft mattresses and pillows and a comforter that is as thin as a sheet), with very basic furnishings. The showers are very small and awkward for me at 5 10 and it takes several minutes for the water to heat up. We ate at their restaurants both nights which were very good. However, upon check out several people in our group noticed that the dinner charges had been charged to the wrong people and I had an incorrect charge to my room (which I discovered before check out). I would probably give it another try if they did a major overhaul to the rooms.
Great honeymoon location! Amazing spa, beautiful property, and great location to explore.
Parking was outrageous, drink prices were outrageous, dinner was expensive but that was expected. They definitely don't want locals or middle class folks visiting their establishment.
Edison restaurant was great. The terraces and the sunset views were an unexpected treat.
4 star hotel coms with 500$ for night ? Its joke???
Absolutely amazing place. We didn't stay, but were referred by some locals to stop in for a tour. All the employees were extremely professional and helpful. Food at the terrace bar was outstanding and not unreasonably priced. We did the self guided tour after, which was worth it and very interesting and beautiful. It was a great free alternative to the Biltmore estate.
I was there two years ago at Christmas time to visit the Biltmore! Great place! Wonderful service from the staff! Great places to eat! My room had a beautiful view of the mountains!
It was so beautiful. .loved every bit of it .THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE ...were amazing. .The big fire places were cozy...enjoyed it very much
Always a fantastic experience. The spa is incredible. Beautiful mountain setting. Great service A-Z.
Wonderful historic hotel with giant lobby and rocking chairs in front of the fire. Classic!
This place the ipotomy of luxury, the restaurants are excellent, and the spa is not to be missed.
Staff is super friendly. Everyone treated us will a lot of respect. They always used our names to greet us. One thing I did noticed the staff wasn't very diverse. Besides that I don't have any complaints. The indoor/cave spa is impressive to say the least.
I absolutely love this place. If it was good enough for nine US presidents, it is definitely good enough for me .
You will feel right at home, I promise.
The Omni provides a relaxing expeeience for all guests. The hotel offers a variety of amenities including a full service bar, restaurant, gym, spa, golf course, pool, marketplace and conference areas. The service at the hotel is excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Come to this hotel for the great atmosphere and awesome view.
The most wonderful Asheville resort with breathtaking views. The Edison is particularly delicious.
Western North Carolina's premiere public resort property. First class operation. Superior staff
Learning the history of the Grove Park Inn makes it worth the stay.
One of my favorite places in Asheville. Beautiful views and love the gingerbread house display and decor at Christmas. Highly recommend to spend a few hours by the fire drinking boozy hot chocolate.
Incredible majestic views and serene ambiance, coupled with amazing amenities, wonderful food, plus very friendly and professional staff at every level, makes this the ultimate vacation destination!!
We weren't even guests there, but were treated as though we owned the place.
Very nice old / new hotel in the beautiful N.C. mountain city of Asheville, N.C. a great place to stay, dine , have a glass of wine, and marvel at nature s gifts to us
Elaine's dueling piano bar is one of the best things I have ever been to! I am in love with all of it!
Great views, nice shops, huge fireplace to enjoy a drink by.
My wife & I went for a overnight get-a-way, and I have to say that the Spa was completely mind blowing , from the moment we arrived until we left (5 hrs later). We were cared for beyond our expectations. The breakfast at the Blue Ridge restaurant was superior and the food was awesome!! From the valet to greeters on our way out, service was excellent and I highly recommend visiting for your quick get a way.

Nice views but be ready to pay. Ordered a late night dessert session of 4 fried oreos and two cokes for $20+. Pleasant staff and nice, clean rooms.
Sat on the terrace and had a drink and checked out the gingerbread competition. It was interesting seeing the new side vs the old side. We will be back to stay
If you have the opportunity, stay here! It is an experience like no other!!!
I had dinner at the Blue Ridge buffet. It was awesome. The views were fantastic too. This is such a beautiful hotel.
This was a very special experience and a time to remember; the history and the background of the property made it a trip that we won't forget.
My wife and I visited for the gingerbread display. We really enjoyed seeing the gingerbread houses but we were also wowed by the beautiful grounds and hotel. It was a great experience which we certainly will return for in the future.
Wonderful stay. The staff are amazing. Restaurants were incredible. The building is of the most unique construction. If you love stone buildings then you MUST stay here. The spa was very enjoyable. Will be coming to stay again.
Summer 2015--
I'm not at all impressed with the Omni. Previous guests say it used to be a great place before ownership changed.
THE SPA IS AMAZING. JUST GO BY A DAY PASS TO THE SPA. Don't stay in the hotel.
The shower was clogged. Instead of switching us to a different room (they could have...it was non-crowded summer week), we waited about 20-30 minutes for the plumber....Delaying dinner reservations. "Sorry for your problems," says the plumber and he handed us chocolates....after working on plumbing....?
Dinner was terrible. It took 2 hours. not a big deal....except, my steak came out cold/room temperature. Our plates were always stacked on our table....Water was never refilled. Waiter rarely checked on us.
We didn't sleep well because of the temperature. Not sure if the thermostat was working correctly?
We messaged the manager after our trip....the response was basically, "I'm sorry you didn't like our hotel...please try us again in the future." No compensation for our troubles? And I'm sorry, but I won't be staying there again on my dime.
In the future, we will stay elsewhere, and simply get a day pass to the spa.
Dinner with my wife and friends at the Edison restaurant. Great food and atmosphere!
Always a pleasure at the GPI. Had lunch outside on a brisk fall day. Food is always great as well as the service!
Beautiful Christmas Displays and Food Network Gingerbread Houses
Even though it was for one night, it was an excellent stay.
Went there for anniversary. Very, very nice. Love it all the way around. You have to use there valet parking or walk a good way. Food was amazing they only downfall at all was the wait time for our food. Took 45 minutes. The bright side. They comped our dessert and we had an awesome view while we waited.
Adore the spa. Waterfall massage in the hot tub is totally worth the visit.
The spa is a wonderful retreat! We get a treatment with a day pass on a weekday and it is a highlight of the entire year!
Beautiful setting and hotel to visit for a short getaway. Make sure to book any onsite meals and amenities early.
Been there a number of times over the years. Our last stay was a real disappointment. Not sure we'll be back. We were booked in the modern section where conference attendees stay, but noone seemed to be sharing our floor. Whole floor and our room was cold as ice. They were renovating at the time and we suspect that impacted our visit. Their arrangement with the gym is also a disappointment. It should result in a great experience but the gym does not maintain the equipment. Just as an example the rower chain was extremely rusty and the monitor didnt work. GPI has definitely gone downhill since change in ownership a few years ago. A real shame.
An experience to remember.
Not to be missed. Historic elegance!
If these walls could talk...amazing!
A classic Asheville destination, and wonderful during the holidays.
Out of this world. It's the highlight of my vacation
If you're staying here during your visit to Asheville, I'd say you made a great choice. This hotel is steeped in Asheville history as deeply as the Biltmore. The building is stunning and worth a visit in itself, even if you aren't a hotel guest. The grand entry hall with it's two massive fireplaces and stone walls is impressive, but then you step through the doors on the other side and the sweeping view all the way to to the Blue Ridge Mountains will take your breath away.
There are several restaurants within the hotel, as well as several shops to explore. Wander the halls, check out the many historic displays, discover the hidden elevator behind one of the fireplaces, or visit around Christmas time and admire the extensive gingerbread house competition the hotel hosts every year. We are locals, but we bring our visitors to see the Grove Park Inn and enjoy the sunset over dinner at the outdoor terraced restaurant. Always a treat!
My husband surprised me for my 50th birthday here and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I ve had. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the accommodations were beautiful from the amazing view from our window to the updated quiet rooms to the exceptionally comfortable bed. Our spa day was so relaxing and I highly recommend for anyone staying there. AND The food was fresh and fabulous! What an awesome birthday and guest experience!!!!
this one of the top 3 places we have ever stayed in. beautiful spot, wonderful hotel with many opportunities to enjoy on site. staff is excellent and food is top notch
This is a beautiful resort. It is close to downtown and the views are stunning. Very relaxing and the staff is amazing. Great venue for a conference or to just get away.
Location, location, location!!! The view is fab! Beautiful stonework and fireplaces!
