Nice entertainment place for kids and adults. Spent there around 2 hours and price is reasonable (Jan 2019 20 per adult).
Many nice animals there. You can see there a lot of kinds of fishes, different sharks and even penguins. Plenty joyful moments.

Indeed, don't miss it! Excellent aquarium with the glass tunnel covered with water and the sharks and other fish wandering around and over you making it probably the best aquarium in Europe. It's even better than London Aquarium which is brilliant. General ticket costs 20 , but you can get a discount of 10% with hop-on hop-off tickets etc. Definitely a "must do" for everyone visiting Barcelona!

This is overall a nice place but it did make me quite sad as a few of the creatures look injured and unhealthy, the penguins are in a completely unsuitable environment and was really sad to see the poor thing stuck there, they're 'tank' was filthy as were many throughout the place. The Sharks looked unwell, there are humpbacks then there's them :( and many with cuts and looking ill and the cafe and drinks here are ridiculously overpriced, 9 for a chicken burger! And 3.50 for a small water. Did not purchase food from here. But there was a variety of fish and the sea tunnel was cool, but overall a short and not great experience.

Great place to visit when in Barcelona (even if it is to get out of the sun for a few hours), good location and easily accessible by public transportation. It might not be the most modern aquarium but our two daughters had a blast finding Nemo. There is also a good diversity in the amount of species and the backdrops of the enclosures are modelled with care as well. Routing through the aquarium itself could be better since we had difficulties finding the elevators and walked into the gift shop without even seeing the top floor.

We arrived around 10.30 am (30 min after opening). right after we passed the gates, we didn't know where to go. no signs or hints on how to plan your journey through this place. so we went up the stairs, we saw some fishes, some facts etc, then we went to the room with rays and penguins. we stayed there until 11.30, beacuse we knew, there will be penguings feeding (again no information about that on walls or anywhere - we've heard some communicate from speakers, also in English, but I didn't undserstand a word). so far everything was fine.
we left the penguins feeding little earlier, beacuse we didn't know where to go, and we wanted to see the sharks feeding at 12.00. so we went downstairs where we were forced to take some photography. then we quickly moved through some small aquariums/exhibitions (without looking at them or reading the information) and achieved the big aquarium with sharks, rays and other fishes. aaaaaand again - no information about "the feeding", no sign. and this event (shark feeding) is why we went there on Friday, instead of some other day, and why we came only 30 minutes after opening.
So... we've heard again some speakers communicate and again no understandable word. So we waited at the big aquarium from 11.50 till around 12.45. Nothing happened. so we decided to go to finish and then start again from the beginning to see all the staff that we've missed (because we were in hurry to see sharks feeding).
of course right after we left the area, a lady tried to sell us the photography from the very beginning and right after this, it was the point that I couldn't make it further. We wanted to go back downstairs again, but the line for the forced photography was so LONG, I said "I'm leaving. I'm not going to wait another 30-45 minuted to take photo I don't want.". And of course I was mad, beacuse I was hyped for the sharks feeding. :(((
Afterall, I was pretty disappointed - wanted to see a lot, didn't see much.

We read a lot of reviews about ppl feeling they were robbed of time because there was nothing to see and such a short visit. Nothing is far from the truth. I am glad we went...especially with our toddler. This place was fantastic and it blew his mind and ours. There are a lot of things people like us who have come from tropic and desert countries saw for the first time in our lives. We saw Sharks, manta rays and penguins. There are also a lot of activities for kids that can keep you at this place for 2 hours easily. We ate at their amazing restaurant and had the best Sangria we have ever had. They have that stuff on tap!! It was an amazing adventure and we will definitely recommend it.

This is a must visit place in Barcelona. I was initially reluctant due to the entry fee, but I felt it is worth a visit. You will have a feeling of standing in the ocean starring at those awesome and beautiful creatures :) Its is a great fun place for kids. Just loved the color, variety and beauty of the sea life. The collection is huge and is amazing to see.

The aquarium in Dubai Mall is better that this one.
Everything they have is old, the staff is friendly but the building really needs an update.

Very cool aqarium with lots of big fish, like sharks, tuna and rays, jelly fish, moonfish (very rare) and even penguins. There are better value aquariums in Europe, eg Genoa or San Sebatian are probably better and maybe even cheaper. But if you are in the area and are looking for some sealife to look at, give it a visit. It was the first aquarium I ever visited and seeing sharks and all the other exotic fish was definitely an experience I will remember for a lifetime. It's on the expensive side for what it is, but so is everything in Barcelona.

This is a 3.5 star review really. It's a nice aquarium but the pressure to have your photo taken on the way in is really off-putting. Those staff (and the ones then trying to sell the photos at the end) were pretty much the only ones we saw all day. It's also a hard place to keep tabs on young children. Several of the play areas for little ones have low ceilings making it hard for adults to enter, and more than one exit that can't be seen at the same time, so it's super-easy to lose preschoolers. Our 1 year old also started trying to squeeze himself through this gap between the balustrade and the wall on a high balcony and I think he could have done it if we hadn't been close at hand. Overall a bit scary. But entertaining as long as you are on your toes and schedule something relaxing afterwards for parents to recover!

The family had half a day to kill before we had to fly to Rome and this aquarium was perfect.

The sharks and aquarium tunnel made for a great sight.

They had a little station where you can bottle feed koi which was fun for the whole family.

It s nice place for kids. They have small area for playing and feeding koi.
But not so much attraction to join or learn.
Sometimes they have an event. So better to check their schedule first. If you are tourist and book some tourist bus, they will give you discount ticket for this aquarium.

Some great exhibits. Loved the baby cuttlefish and baby rays. I've never seen cuttlefish on display, let alone baby ones. Lots of rays on exhibit. We had a great time watching the rays eat. Afew disapointments: jellyfish exhibit was bad, no touch tanks and, worst of all, served straws at the restaurant. Plastic straws are so terrible for marine life. This type of place should be at the forefront of conservation and nearly every animal care facility in the US has done away with straws.

This place has a lot of small aquariums with many types of sea creatures. It was also a fun experience to go below the water to see the all the fish, sharks and other creatures. There is a small garden you can go in. The trip here lasted around 2 hours. I expected more as I have seen bigger aquariums other countries before.

There s some nice fish to look at. Enough to keep the small kids entertained, but teenagers on up get pretty bored. Buy your tickets online and save yourself 30 minutes to an hour of waiting in line.

It was the biggest aquarium I saw so your experience may differ. I liked it a lot. The offer is good and there is a lot of se creatures to see. The biggest tank is very impressive with all the sharks and rays swimming around. We didn't see the sunfish although it is suppose to be huge and we were very attentive so I would say they do not have it anymore. As others have said, it doesn't take you long to see all of the big tanks (it took us about 80 min) but there is other stuff to see like the manta ray pool and jellyfish cave which are both interesting. If you have kids there is a play are where they can interact with fish and play around water.

It is a pretty big aquarium with plenty to see. From tropical fish, sharks and seahorses to Stingrays, jellyfish and penguins. It also has a nice cafeteria inside with good food at a decent price.

It was good. Very interesting animals, sharks, stingrays, huge fish, seahorses, octopus, penguins, jellyfish, even frogs!
Kids would absolutely love it.
Little pricey for entry. 21 for one adult.
We took our time and spent about 2 hours here. So its not an 'all day' activity. But really cool to see!

A great place and easy to get to. Lots of exhibits in a relatively small area covering shallow waters to deep ocean. At the end, you can squeeze into the mouth of a (model) whale to see jellyfish exhibits

It was a nice experience. Three stars are only because there was no clear reason of presenting the specific kinds of fish with the specific sequence(for example geographically), plus the description could be better. The part with the moving floor around the sharks was the best!

Amazing aquarium experience.

Amazing aquarium experience.
Very full Aquarian with a large range of aquatic life, very well arranged and accessible and very affordable.
Enjoyable for all ages.
Shop is well stocked and they have a cute little area for children.
Full cafe on site with meals and refreshments and a lovely facility for photos!
Would return

Beautiful space, remarkably calm given the large number of small children. Unfortunately, the aquarium is very, very small - takes less than an hour for 2 adults to slooowly cover the whole thing. I wouldn't mind this if the ticket price wasn't so high: 21 euros, same cost (minus 0.40 euro) as the much larger zoo.

Really cool aquarium, through it was a good size and had lots of information on the fishes in lots of languages which was helpful. It wasn t too busy but some things were crowded. The food in the food court is okay, and expensive for the quality.

It has quite a variety of fishes, mollusks and medusas. It has some sharks, frogs and a couple of chameleons. The price was quite high at 21 per adult. There are some lockers available that can easily fit a cabin luggage and even fewer to fit bigger luggages. It's also kid friendly with some play grounds.

Not the biggest aquarium, but definitely worth a visit if you're in Barcelona. Tons of different species of fish and there's a nice penguin exhibit as well. Great place for kids as there is a lot of interactive activities to be done.

Good place to spend time with the kids. Fun for everyone, the glass tunnel is very impressive for the little ones. A lot of different creatures can be seen here. It is still one of the best aquariums I have seen.

One of the best aquariums we've been to! It's big enough so that there is plenty to see and experience, but not so big that it takes longer than a couple of hours to get through. Really well laid out, lots of information and well kept (and clean). Really recommend going here when in Barcelona!

If you have few days in Barcelona, go there. If you are not a fan of the sea world, you can miss this place. It is although perfect to go with kids and spend even three or four hours with them.

Definitely interesting. Children will enjoy it. At the end of the tour you can eat well. Important when you go with kids. They have an aquarium with an "underwater tunnel" where they are smaller sharks. Not all aquariums are perfect.

Nice place to visit for kids. My 3 nd 6 yr old loved it. The close encounter with sharks was exciting for them, they also enjoyed feeding the fish ( 4) each. A little pricey for what it is but glad we went. Max 2 hours and you've seen everything. Would recommend going early so it's not too busy. Also booking online saves waiting in the heat.
