Well worth a walk (or bus ride) down to the Aquarium. There's a lot of exhibits and even though the place was fairly busy, we didn't feel cramped. Very child friendly and yet enough to interest older children / teens too.

Place is very nice. Lots of exciting fish and other water animals. You can see a lot of sharks and at one point you go through a tunnel with sharks on top. Very well kept and everything is clean.

Really fun place! If you are a shark lover this is a must place to visit. The aquarium entertains the whole family. If you pay a bit extra, you can even swim with the sharks o:t be safe in a cage.

Nice aquarium with a breathtaking underwater tunnel where you can see sharks and rays from underneath and really close. We spent maybe two hours and enjoyed penguin feeding and a lot of smaller aquariums. A bit on the expensive side but it was worth it since I hadn't been in a tunnel like that before. Wouldn't go again any time soon though.

The most wonderful aquarium in the Europe, that's my opinion. Very long glass tunnel where you can stare at the sharks and fish from every angle you want! It's a bit expensive when you buy your ticket from the booth, I recommend booking tickets from the internet..you get a discount there.

A lovely place to spend an hour or two. Good range of fish, marine life and even penguins! Signs and speech in English at most places and even a handy conveyor at the larger viewing area. Everything looked healthy and well looked after. Area and activities for children too! Easily accessible and there's a shopping mall / cinema nearby.

Honestly... Save your money. The idea is fantastic but with all the people that were there it was not very enjoyable. We could hardly see anything, people were pushing themselves to the front and looking at the first few tanks was almost impossible. Children might still enjoy because they didn't just waste 21 , but not a good place for adults.

A very good experience and a good place to visit if you are around, the entire tour lasts about 2 hours. It was not crowded and the ticket was about 20 . Minus one star because the place it s kinda old and outdated. Overall I recommend!

During January when I went at about 10:30am was the best 21euros I had spent whilst in Barcelona. The acquarium is massive and has so many species of fish and aquatic life you need time to take it all in. I spent over an hour there just mesmerized by everything. Totally recommend going to.

Best sea life visit

Best sea life visit

A breathtaking visit. The cost of the ticket is 20 euros for adults and 150 euros for cage diving with sharks. We took the first one and it was worth every penny. You see beautiful fishes, blue lobster and crazy starfish in the start and then it gets bigger n bigger by each step. The aquarium offers a lot and the special attractions were sharks, sting grey and penguins. Yes lots of penguins gawking at you in awe. You also get a chance to feed the fishes with the help of a bottle at the cost of 4 euros. And the shop at the exit is an another delight. I bought lots of soft toys and pop up objects for my daughter. Overall a great place to visit with children.

I am giving 4/5 stars for a couple reasons. The first one is because if you use the lockers you don't get the euro back and the second one is because the aquarium with the poisonous and aggressive fish, which is one of the more interesting ones, was closed for some reason. They also don't have a students discount except if you have an ISIC card. They also offer to you to buy a small book for 3 euros which in my opinion is very much worth it. Except the listed things I enjoyed the tour.

Great place to take the family - especially younger kids. Some of the exhibitions are small but no different to most other aquariums you may go to. Lots of English tourists around.

Centrepiece is the massive circular tank with the slow moving conveyor belt you stand on. Full of fantastic sharks, rays, sun fish and other species. Couldn't see any Megalodons or Plesiosaurs, but it was quite busy and the crowd sometimes made observation tricky - plus they're extinct so...

Its 21 euros, which I believe is kind of expensive for what you get. There are hundreds of types of different species so lots to look at, but its maybe 10-15 small aquariums and then one walk around in the big aquarium. It's more for children, lots to do for them. If it's just adults, you may spend 45 minutes there. If you love fish and aquatic life, it's for you. If you dont care, smoke a spliff and watch the sharks swim in the big take. It was a lot more interesting.

I really enjoyed this aquarium. We walked here after walking the city and it was a nice change of pace. The aquarium has a cool tube you can walk through and be surrounded by sea-life. The location of the aquarium is great as it is right on the water and you can find great places to eat before or after your visit to the aquarium.

Okay aquarium abit busy but to be expected for a City but the penguin enclosure was far to small for that many penguins might be because I'm used to open air zoos in the UK but my opinion is it was to small

Loved it! If you are in Barcelona the aquarium is a must see. You can see all kinds of fish, sharks, penguins, medusa, sea horses and the fauna is also splendid. There is a place designated for kids where they can play with the fish. This is a place where you want to go with your kids! 5* experience

A very nice place to take a look, or two, at some underwater creatures. It houses several species of water and sea animals and plants. The location is fantastic too, easily reachable via several transportation media with shopping outlets within the vicinity.

What a place it was ideal for a big kid like me and to top it off for a measly 99 you get to got diving with the sharks INSIDE the aquarium.

Having never done scuba before I was given instructions by our gide that were straightforward to follow and then off into the tank. Started off inside a cage getting used to the environment and scuba kit before being taken round the aquarium by our guide one by one.

Quite an odd experience actually petting a fish but it's one I'll never forget and although I fancied petting a shark I decided not to and chickened out I mean for 40 years I've been quite attached to my arms.

All in all I have to say this is top of my list so far in terms of thing's I've done in life so far. If you're going to the aquarium and want to I'd thoroughly recommend it and the shark diving experience.

On ly minor issues are if you want to shark dive get booked in quickly as there's only so many places available over the day

Not my idea of a nice aquarium. The only really nice feature was the huge shark tank..it was awesome!!! But for the quality of the rest of the tanks the price might be a little less expensive. But for kids it's a nice attraction. As well as for adults when the weather is not that great ( it was raining really bad today so it was crowded)

Excellent atraction. Beautiful aquarium with amazing sea fishes. You spend here around two/three hours for sure. Location is very good, near to the port. On the top is nice bar. There is also huge water tank, where you can enjoy the view around you - fishes are swimming around you, is super nice feeling. Especially when sharks floats above you. In the aquarium are also small activities for children, and it is very interesting for them. In the end is very nice souvenir shop.

Very big aquarium with a thousands of different marine life. The shark tank, gives you chance to see them so near! Very nicely arranged and managed aquarium. Everything available for the convenience of the visitors. The place deserves its price, specially if you did not see any before.

Being rated the "best" or "biggest" aquarium in EU i expected more. Still very nice, but not that big. Maybe it is just because i am used to Ushaka Marine World in Durban South Africa. But this doesn't compare.

Disappointing! I expected much more for the paid price, this is one of the worst I have e ever visited. Personally I do not recommend it. If you wanna see how a real aquarium looks like got to Lisbon or Copenhagen.

Lovely aquarium with nice clean tanks and a good selection of fish, sharks, octopus and some penguins. There's also a bit of play equipment. Our 20 month old loved it, especially the travelator under the big tank. At 20 euros an adult we nearly didn't go but decided to buy tickets online and got a 'day pass'. In our local aquarium this means you can go in and out all day but here it is only valid for one entrance: you can't leave again so bring your own food and plan for a whole day here! The restaurant is junk food and expensive, there are vending machines but a normal chocolate bar was 3 euros!

The variety of fish and sea creatures is numerous. Penguins, sharks etc have been always an attraction for humans. The entrance is 21 , but using Studentfy card gives you 10% discount and skip line.

We enjoyed it. Not big, but a lot of different Marine life. Colourful! But it was warm and stuffy inside. I like, that around main aquarium lift, you can stand and enjoy the views. After aquarium very good playing area for children. Summary you can spend there near 2 hours.

Great and complete. Cold and tropical fresh water. Mediterranean see species and tropical oceans, all available. Submarine tunnel and direct sharks view very emotional. If you are visiting Barcelona you cannot loose this event!

It was an ok aquarium, guess I was expecting more. The big tank with the sharks is definitely the main attraction. You can see the workers feed the sharks. I was mostly excited to go see penguins since they're my favorite and seeing where they live made me sad. The space for them is too small! This is not the circumstances they should be in you can kind off see the space in the images. Sadly can't post videos. Also the seahorses and other fishes have such small tanks and they are so crowded. They could definitely make some changes here.

I liked it - the animals were really cool and all, but it was a bit overpriced for what it was. Maybe I m just picky...
I also thought the little booklet should ve just been included. Like, 3 isn t that bad, but it was pretty much just paper with the information it already has plastered on the wall. I d say pass on that one.

The Aquarium is like a refuge in the bustling city of Barcelona. Slow down and enjoy the sea life. I recommend taking a guide for an extra 3 and explore the diversity of the Mediterranean in more detail. Don t rush it, there is loads to discover.
Start with the show in the Atrium to get the mood of the Aquarium: making humans appreciate the world under the sea and be more respectful and protective with our oceans.
The Aquarium does it s best to follow a sustainable path, low energy consumption, use of rain water for irrigation and being an ambassador for sustainability.

Great tip for tourists: there are big lockers that can fit a carry on suitcase for 1 after admission.

The Aquarium also features a very nice shop and a restaurant/cafe.
