Best Marriott Ever

Best Marriott Ever
I ve stayed at a lot of Marriotts and this by far is the best. You won t be disappointed. Quality, Service, Location, Amenities, Bar, Restaurant, Cafe, Lounge and Starbucks. The room was very nice, the bathroom was even better. After a day of travel adjusting to the new time zone was perfect in this room with comfy bed. I even ordered special pillows off the menu! The lounge was quite nice, large and plenty of offerings for breakfast, lunch or dinner time. We checked out the Red Bar one night and it had a great atmosphere. The bourbon bar in the steakhouse was a highlight of my trip! Offering pre-prohibition bourbon...something I ll unlikely ever see again. The bartenders were great too. The location was fabulous. We easily walked to restaurants, and hopped on the big bus for sightseeing less than a half mile from the hotel. Don t think twice about booking this place!

Only attended a big formal dinner event / awards ceremony here, it was OK as a venue, food was ok (tables were quite expensive for the food served, but that was charged by the event hosts), food was served quickly, table clearing service could have been better (faster / more responsive), bar service was slow with a very large event (only 3 behind a large bar at one point... Probably keeps the bar busy that way ;) ).... ventilation around bar area was poor as it got very warm chatting with colleagues and had to move away. It was a large venue, Wouldn't be fussed about going to the venue again as a formal dinner as 10-a-penney in London for ambiance but maybe not space.

Nice common areas but room we had was outdated, bed was small and extremely uncomfortable. No coffee/tea machine in the room. Very plain for a five star hotel. The location is excellent though.

A very pleasant and elegant hotel in the heart of London. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the food good but limited for vegetarians. I felt the place needed a bit if refreshing. I would go there again but would also look for better options.

We attended a RREC book launch .When we went to check in, our room wasn't ready . This meant we had to change our cloths in the toilets . Then an hour long queuing to get into the event . The checking in man was very kind in letting us have a late check out the following day to make up for it . The room, whilst quite expensive, is basic . Though the breakfast was 1st class and the waiting staff very attentive .

this hotel is amazing! the steak restaurant has probably the best steak ive ever eaten and the service is just about the same level as food! the size of cheesecake is insane (share between 4 only), the sides are HUGE 1 is really enough, but i d honestly say and recommend VISIT when in London

Attended the TES awards here. Beautiful rooms and fast service when food was served and cleared away. The food was delicious and presented elegantly.
When going to get water from the bar, staff asked for my order and when I replied that I wanted tap water, they turned and served other people without giving me a drink. It took the support of several other people to help me get a glass of water. Being a teacher, I am not overly wealthy and chose a healthy, low cost option.

We vacationed in London because of our love for this hotel! We stayed here Christmas of 2016, and returned this past Christmas such was our experience! It really makes the vacation. Everyone is so polite and accommodating. The only slight negatives are that the coffee machines in the lounge did not make good coffee, and the hotel no longer carries Fox News Channel, our favorite. But we wish we could return every year since this hotel is simply spectacular.

Better than The Ritz but who am I to make that judgement. Very big halls to accommodate large guests. Friendly staff as usual APART from the security team who think they are hard men. Unneccessary barking and they need a little Customer Service training.

Did an event here, international shipping week in the great room. The first floor is all marble with lots of mirrors, the staff is very professional and try to sort out any issues you come across quickly.

Clean and well decorated with great service , but beware house-keeping as they walk in to the room without notice (put a "privacy please" sign on the door so they dont walk in on you)

Don t answer the phone when you call down, rooms are ok but not very big. Rude Eastern European staff who dont know how to treat guests, especially the doormen. The lounge was so packed you had to wait for a seat to free up in the morning. St ermins is a lower tier marriott but way better than this place by a mile!

Posh

Great location, nice hotel, got a room with no view expected a better one as a Platinum member. Housekeeping keep forgetting to replace supplies, disappointing. I am assuming this is not their normal operation. Will give one more shot during my next trip.

Gorgeous hotel/ venue. I've never stayed here, because I can't afford it lol ... but I've worked here many times over the years as a singer.
It's good the grandest ballroom in London so it's perfect for events/ shows. Access for equipment isn't the easiest but that's equally true of many hotels in London.

Review is just for events in the hotel. Events in the main room are becoming a little tired from overuse and need an update. Same thing each time with small variations. DJ music needs updating in part. Room works well but the tables are crammed in.

The hotel is really big and prestigious. I came for a professional seminar and the establishment is really adapted to the important group reception (400 people) The service is of quality and the food very adapted to the French habits. My room was very spacious with a living room and a king size double bed. I'm just not a fan of the decorative style that is too old for my taste.
