Great show plenty of stuff going on in the area nice place to check out
Went to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Everyone seemed lovely and the show was really well done. I grew up going to Broadway shows and the acting impressed me.
Attending a unique "24-hour" play writing contest this Saturday, Dec 7, 2013 we noted an exuberant group of theater fans nearly filling the small auditorium of the Kiwanis building near downtown Fort Myers.
Arriving early we weren't allowed to be seated which we found a bit strange and walked around the quaint neighborhood just off Palm Beach Boulevard.
Although there were five 10-minute plays presented during the evening, and six judges of some stature including a five-time Emmy winnter, we noted that there weren't any programs listing the playwrights and actors or the judges. That would have been something to promote the theater group and even enable some income from advertising.
If you're a "small" theater fan, you'll probably like the Laboratory Theater.
Well, I declare: the plays at the laboratory theater of Florida just keep getting better! " Crimes of the Heart" may just transport you to a time, not too long ago, into the deep South, in a dysfunctional family's granddaddy's home, where all hell could breakloose, (and almost does). The sets and the performances were top-notch. It's one of those "must-sees" that I'm glad I saw! Believe me! Believe me!
This place blew my mind. Hidden gem, and a must-see if you are looking for new experiences!!
Best local live theater!
Cozy place with local talent and also some visiting actors.
I love everything about this place
I recommend completely if you like a small theater experience.
Great performance of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, we'll done Annette Trossbach! Must see theater!
Creative, bold, edgy, original, risky. If you want to be delightfully surprised by a talented and stimulating "black box theater" group, Laboratory Theater is the place to go.
Great little theater. Great actors, and unique plays.
Wonderful small theatre. Close knit staff. Great workshops for kids.
The actors are amazing!
I've been there 3 times now and I can't wait to go back!
Highly recommend!
A phenomenal show, in a perfect, quaint venue. One hour of non stop gutteral laughing, which my guest thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Love this little gem of a theater! The actors are all heart and talent! As the signs dates on the door no matter who you are no matter who you love all sizes and color you are welcome celebrated and safe check it out!
Great acting this is coming from a customer from New York city. Who has been too Broadway shows.
Great small theater. Good subject matter to think about. Great staff.
Visiting Mr. Green was absolutely amazing!! Fantastic acting, as good as it gets... I m just saying. I ve been to broadway, seen lots of shows...the quality of acting tonight was 9 1/2 out of 10 stars... that good. Why not 10? I don t know actually , but we just loved the story Muzzeltoff
Can t wait to come back! Thanks Again you two... Excellent Preformance!!
A small charming theater in the old historic building. Great diverse repertoire. Talented actors. Just wonderful.
My favorite location for live plays in Southwest Florida
I loved it.
It was better than Cats!
Ana In The Tropics was a fantastic, honest and spicy performance!
In downtown Ft Myers close to restaurants and bars. 5br 3bth, pool, hot tub, formal dining room, and huge parking lot. Great for family gatherings, special events, or a private getaway. Beautiful and in a historic location.
charming theater with a wonderful setting. great parking and the cast was wonderful! will go again.
We really enjoy most of the plays- they tend to be a little different. Also they are not as expensive as others.
The evening of Peace presentation was a gift to our community. I appreciate this organization's willingness to help our community find a way to end hatred, discrimination, violence. Thank you to the Theater and the religious leaders who participated in that evening.
It's an intimite space and the plays are always enjoyable.
These guys are working wonders with the building.Wonderful local atmosphere,
A group of six of us just attended your theater to see the play The musical comedies of 1940 . There was swearing that was not necessary and too much references to LGBT.
The main complaint is that the content of the play was nonsensical to the point of boredom. Two the of our party slept through it. There was so much needless screaming that it was physically difficult to endure. Too much overacting and difficult to hear as the actors did not announciate their words well.
Misrepresented on line that the play was a musical. Would not have attended if honestly described.
Worse play ever attended.
Every play I have seen at the Lab Theatre has been fantastic. Great venue and amazingly talented actors.
As always, the Lab delivers...unique presentations done by dedicated individuals. 0
Small very cozy theatre that offers mostly off Broadway kind of shows that are reasonably priced. Our first time here. Most probably not the last.
A wonderful theater with thought provoking performances, well rounded and educational classes, and a team of very supportive and dedicated members working at this theater. Would highly recommend!
Great little theater! Have been to several shows and will go to more. Friendly staff and entertaining atmosphere. Beer and wine served for enjoyment at the shows I have been to.
Had a wonderful time with friends and sponsors for this particular play "Hedwig and The Angry Inch". Very intimate setting, plenty of parking and the cast was wonderful. We will definitely go again soon!
Had a great time. Show was very funny, and the theater had a very cool, offbeat vibe. It's a smaller venue than most, so shows feel more intimate.
