My favourite Italian restaurant in Melbourne, hands down. Intimate venue so perfect for a date or small group, the staff are attentive and warm. I'm determined to try everything on the menu, and am close to getting there! The wine selection is fantastic too. I can't rave enough about this place. It's always my first recommendation to friends if they're looking for a restaurant to try. I will be coming back, again and again.

Food and service is always emmaculate at Florentinos. It since the little things like the embossed cutlery that make this place so amazing. Whislt the food on the menu always hits the spot, it is the little additions that get brought between meals that I love.

Be aware that they just keep opening bottles of water as needed without asking you though, and at $12 a pop it can add a bit more to the bill than you might expect. But I guess when you are dropping $150 a head for three courses you are expected to not mind shelling out another $24 on water...

Fantastic premium restaurant with great food and attention to detail. Staff are very professional and take great pride in their work - but not arrogant by any stretch. Perfect to entertain clients over a meal or to treat family on a special occasion.

Fantastic and warm service. Excellent food. Considering we had nine courses the price was quite reasonable. We really enjoyed Florentino upstairs and would highly recommend it, especially for a romantic occasion.

Great food, good wine selection, attentive and friendly staff.. The Florentino is a long narrow restaurant serving really good Italian fare: linguini, risotto, gnocchi etc. Wines are largely European, few Australian wines on the list. Desserts are good. It's a busy, tightly packed place - tables and chairs very close together - excellent service and a good price.

read this! There are 3 branches, all at the same area (next to each other) there is Grossi Upstairs, Grill and Cellar Bar. Upstairs is the super fancy one, grill and cellar bar are more chill. We went to cellar bar, and were lucky to have a table immediately but others had to wait ... depending on the night, it could be a long wait! We had the lasagna and bolognese pasta. Very hearty, meaty, savoury flavour. I did wish the lasagna had more white sauce though and cheese. The servings were also on the small side. Dessert was more generous, though the tiramisu looks amazing, it was a bit dry and lacked the creamy texture I enjoy. The chocolate cake was average. Probably wouldn t recommend those desserts tbh.

Look, I know that this restaurant is a Melbourne institution, and that their tiramisu is to die for, but the serving sizes are insulting small, and wine prices are astromical. But if you have $400 to burn, knock yourself out

We booked a table for Nov4th at 7pm
When we arrived to the restaurant there was no table set up for us
When ordering our dinner (Zucchini Flowers +Agnolotti +Tiramisu)... (Calamari+Lamb cutlets +sorbet )
The agnolotti was simply uneatable..greasy with no flavour whatsoever. ..The Tiramisu. .was also an old cake dry and could not eat it
For a prestigious restaurant like Grossi's
This is completely unacceptable
We will not ever come back to this establishment

One of the worst experience encountered in this beautiful city of Melbourne. Listed as one of the finest dines but served us looking at our appearance which was unpleasant. We were shown our way to the other part of the restaurant but was shown the testing menu which was not served there. Manners makes us different and gentle human. Learn something.

If you come to Australia and get tired of fish and chips, and hate the horrible Chinese restaurants in Chinatown, you will definitely not be disappointed here. Not expensive and very delicious food, high level of service

Really amazing, At least in the upstairs area where I dined. really lovely staff as well as a wide range of delitious wines. Would recommend the 5 course option with the chefs surprises along the way. Also whilst you are waiting for the next course someone will come around with a trolley topped with beautiful aged cheeses for you to try. The only thing is that it's 150 a head min but totally worth it would 100% recommend especially for a special birthday.

Lovely space nice decor but tables too closer together. Staff are good. My tortellini was delicious, wild boar ragu with papardelle for my husband not so impressed. Oysters to start at $5 a piece very small just ok. Could do better. High expectations not met.

We ate upstairs for our anniversary. Delicious food, impecible service. Menu was flexible and very filling. Loved the surprise show bag on our way out with homemade biscuits and house roasted coffee. Great atmosphere, not pretentious, quiet and perfect for a couple or small group.

Food was fantastic, like I died and went to Italy haha! But what was even better than the food was how much they cared about our experience and how our feedback was important to them. Thank you for the great service!

Service and interior are good, but the food is terrible. We tried oysters, octopus as a starter which did not taste good, and two types of pastas as our main course - both were tasteless, such a huge disappointment. Not recommend.

Wonderful experience of this place. Great food options you can see here. I came here with my husband on his birthday celebrations. Such a very comfort place to sit and enjoy some time here. We had great time. Their services were very quick and friendly. Staff was polite and welcoming. We both were impressed from their brilliant work. Definitely give them 5 stars!!!

The food was OK, but the service - beyond outstanding I wish I could give the team there 10 stars. I have dietary requirements either veg or halal and the service staff went beyond the call of duty to help me out on an official lunch!
Kudos to the service team on 10th July 19. I cannot thank you enough!

Chocolate Pear Tart

Chocolate Pear Tart
This chocolate pear is from the famous Grossi Florentino restaurant in the heart of Melbourne. The owner of the restaurant, Guy Grossi, is a well-known chef in Australia and has appeared in several cooking shows in Australia, such as My Kitchen Rules and Masterchef Australia. The dessert in the picture is also impressive under the rejuvenation of the chef team. The sweetness of dark chocolate and the deliciousness of the pears make you want to eat it for the second time! In addition, the chocolate souffle in the store is also very popular. If you come to this dinner, you can consider all the things, and then everyone can enjoy it.
