I've only been 1 time but enjoyed all that was offered with fair pricing, variety of animals, food options & shopping. Zoo's are a great place for all ages to learn about animals, their habitat and the chance to see them up close. The grounds were well maintained, but more open seating along pathways would be good for older adults and those who need to sit as needed. For all you offer I recommend the L.A. Zoo and give you 5 stars.

Always a great experience at the Los Angeles zoo very friendly staff and very helpful. Only complaint i would have is those people giving away them so called free stays at resorts that you actually have to pay for. Besides that I would highly recommend visiting the LA zoo anytime..

A lot of my friends were telling me the LA Zoo was lame, so I decided to check it out on a whim. I was very pleasantly surprised. It s a nice mixture between botanic gardens and zoo. I would recommend visiting if you have a few hours to wander around, enjoy the animals and gardens. Despite being right outside of downtown LA, it truly feels as though you are in the middle of nowhere.

We were members last year and are renewing for this year! Protip: go eat a big lunch before going in. Then walk it off, dismiss the fastfood offerings, and no lines all afternoon as most leave early

Purchased tickets online from their website, navigating was easy. Considering a lot of stuff was closed, my son and I had a really fun time. The primates were my favorite, while he like the giraffes and elephant.

The L.A.Zoo is Always a DELIGHT!! THE ZOO STAFF IS THE VERY BEST!!! EXCEPT THE "SERVICE AMERICA" MANAGERS!!! TWO NAMES OF THE MANAGEMENT STAFF TO WATCH OUT FOR ARE CESAR HERCULES AND AN OLD LADY NAMED NANCY!!!!! THEY ARE VINDICTIVE AND CHILDISHLY PETY. CESAR IS AN UNFAITHFUL HUSBAND, MESSING AROUND WITH FEMALE EMPLOYEES(FRANCHELE) OR WHATEVER THAT HOES NAME IS AND NANCY. SHE'S A WEAK PERSIN WHO IS "EASILY" MANIPULATED DUE TO HER LACK OF REAL(AMERICAN) PEOPLE INTERACTION!! She does speak English. Just not properly.

Its pretty good. I was a little disappointed with many of the exhibits. Many are too small for the animals to roam around. There's lots of animals to see though, so it's worth the trip. Especially if you have kids!

It was nice to walk around and visit animals and see how they react to you my favorite were the giraffes. One was so cute when I said, "Hi Sweetie" and it turned it's head and looked at me for the perfect picture.

The LA Zoo is always fun. Our year pass for the family along with free parking make this a regular occurrence for us... Especially now that our son is old enough to walk and enjoy the animals.

We have our son, wife and two small grandchildren that live in LA, so the zoo is a must. They are members so I don't have to pay, but the fun is in all the new things there are to do each time we come to visit from the East coast. A stop at the Carousel is a must, and this time we visited the petting zoo, where they got to brush the goats and see how they live. Since they are young we don't last long, but we always have a great time!

The nighttime event was colourful and beautiful. Initially three was a long line for the opening but we made it through efficiently and quickly. The reptile exhibit was opened and the merry go round was operating. They had kettle corn and hot chocolate to help with the harsh so-cal winter.

Had an absolutely fantastic day at the zoo. There were so many gorgeous animals and the property was very clean and will kept. It's a great place for families. It's also great for adults to go with their friends. They do offer beer and wine for those who are interested.

We went at night to see Zoo Lights and the truth is that for almost $ 23 that it has cost the entrance it is not worth it.
A short tour and the lights are not set with more care or design.
Justito justito, at most $ 10 entry.

Never will visit after hearing about Billy the elephant and his solitary/ unmet living conditions....Would pay to see you all stuck in there though..... Even criminals get better treatment than this innocent elephant.

Poor customer service I came with my family from Arizona and informed the lady at the entrance the ages of my kids but because my kids are tall for their ages she was rude and stated that next time my kids have to pay the adult price

Lots of parking available and plenty of animals to see.

The park is well maintained and animals are well taken care of.

A lot of the information is available in English and in Spanish.

There are opportunities to feed some animals or learn more about them. Signage are close of this information.

There are food courts scattered around the center as well in other locations on the side of the campus itself.

The park closes at 5pm!

The Los Angeles zoo was very disappointing. There were very few observable animals. No rhino, no elephant, and when there was an animal it was one or two in a giant habitat. At $20 per person I expected more. Next time we'll go to Santa Barbara.

Good place for family hang out with kids. We got some trick or treats too since we visit it close to Halloween. The zoo's animal varieties could use some additions tho. They don't have rhino, camels...Some of the animals don't look very well taken care off, or they're just too old. Snack prices are a little high, too. 1L water bottle costs close to $5 is a little too much, imo!

All and all this is a good zoo. It is large and well maintainned, systemized. However, there are still rooms for improvements.

Fun to go with friends and family enjoying the day and eat around. Seeing amazing animals learning about their habitat. My favorite part of the zoo is the BIRD SHOW have to see it again. Once they open up.

Love

Fun!
