Dont recomended it was so much better when u can drive by to see the lights.

The family cannot get enough of this place! You must get an annual pass. Any chance that I have, I take our toddler here. There s so much to do and see. With the pass, you can take your time and check out one little area at a time, with this approach, you can spread out at least 20 visits before you see the whole zoo. There s also special timed shows like the bird show etc., and during the winter, there s the LA Zoo Lights. This is an evening extravaganza not to be missed. Even though we stayed way past our toddler s bedtime, it was well worth it! They have mesmerizing lights that give the daytime zoo exhibits a run for their money, and lastly, they have plenty cocktail carts to keep the adults entertained :-)
As far as the food goes, it s typical them park food such as pizza, chicken strips and burgers; the vegetarian food doesn t reach far beyond the garden burger, but at least its something. We usually reach for some churros and popcorn; can t go wrong with that!

All the animals are asleep they were hiding because it was hot the dinosaurs were okay

We had an amazing time here with the family. The kids enjoyed it as much as we did ahahaha. We dont have anything like this in Las Vegas. So coming to LA we had to come here and were glad we did . It was a lot of fun

There are more animals in downtown Los Angeles than there are in the zoo

Okay but very few animals the elephant was not there.

It was really good and I really enjoyed it so much I might come here again some day because today was fun.

Good place to go on a walk and see the animals. I have the membership which is a good deal if you go there often.

Not as big as the San Diego zoo, but plenty big to take up a day. Super friendly staff and great layout help to round out an already great zoo.

The environment with nature is impressive apart from the animals that the zoo has ... very beautiful place to go out and have a great day of adventure.

I had my grand kids and they enjoyed it. The day was perfect, not too many people we had opportunity to see many animals.

Nice big clean place to bring kids or significant. Food price is reasonable and taste good.

Good place only for rehabilitation but not a zoo. Animals looked sad and crammed. Very disappointing.

Wide arrange of animals and reasonably priced ($22 for an adult). Takes about 3 hours to see everything

I've been to better zoo's in my day. The LA Zoo actually made me kind of sad. Everything was just kind of bland and the animals looked depressed. They really need to spruce the place up and make the animals happy!

The best place to take your child. Not only is it fun but educational. I love it

They've got it all. Lions, tigers and bears! But really the apes are the highlight.

I give 3 stars only because my family went there today and about 75% of the animals were asleep. I think it might be because it's winter season right now. But the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. They even have food for vegans there. I would still come here again.

Having visited many zoos, I found LA zoo to be average. The animal enclosures are pretty small especially the sea lions and the viewing glass in the great apes was so scratched and dirty you could hardly see through it. I didn't enjoy walking through all the shops, restaurants and stalls before reaching the animals.

Loved it had pretty much every animal but don't like that there only one vending machine it stoled my money

You could look at animal pictures on Google and not have to waste money

Definitely go during the week. You get to see everything without all the crowds.

I only ask them to feed them ... because the lions are very thin ... and they also need more space ... ... it is not fair to have them do ... people pay ... for Seeing them and all the money they make ... is for their animal food ... and it's not fair that the lions are in those conditions ... that's my point ... of view ... ....

My kids love LA Zoo. We always have a great time with a family. Really great atmosphere.

Dirty park, terrible parking lots and traffic control. Premium parking and many vendors are cash only. So many of the animal pens were small and inadequate compared to many other zoos, even in smaller towns.

Took our baby girl for her 6tg B-Day and we had a blast. We also feed the Griff's

Exhibits were small and rat infested it was so sad.

Light show? Pay for what? ... Just dark & cloudy...

Worst zoo I've ever been to. Just go to anywhere else in LA of you're visiting. Don't let the zoo reflect on the greatness that is LA.

Seen the LA Zoo and loved the visit. A pretty big zoo and I found it affordable with a few places to eat throughout the zoo. Also was able to bring a few snacks for the visit and enjoyed my day.

Great lights. Not much to see, but had a great time just getting out with the family.

Nice zoo. It's not huge, easy to navigate, and clean. Recommend getting here early not only to beat the crowds but it seems more animals are out early vs later in the day. We we're able to see alot of animals and when we were heading out I noticed that same ones that were out earlier went into hiding or taking a nap and no longer visible.

Great zoo. Loved the animals there. Feeding the giraffe was cool. I would recommend people come here and see all the great beautiful animals.

LA Zoo lights was great for my 3/7yr old. Beautiful atmosphere and lights.

Small zoo. Animals look sad......no place for them to move around

Nice walking, not many people. The zoo overall is in need of a refresh. I think by todays standards, most of the enclosures are undersized. Still its nice to wander through and gives kids a chance to experience a variety of animals.

Some of the animals for example the hipos exhibit needs alot of work... Smelly.... Staff working in exhibits know little to nothing about the animals

My niece had so much fun my sister ended up buying the family membership

Went to the roaring nights 80's party and had a great time. Got to see the animals at night.
