Very pretty during the night. Make sure to check out the light show that they have. Plus in the daytime the zoo is fun for kids

The zoo was a fun place for my little girl alot to see.the only thing was there were to to many bees and wasnt able to enjoy it that much i felt like we were being chased by them luckily i had some repellent spray and sprayed it on her and it helped.every thing was so expensive as well, so if u can bring your snacks drinks or sandwiches to eat like we did and bring repellant spray and tons of sunscreen for the little ones.parking was another issue u have to drive in many circles to get a parking space.

It's 2019. Embarrassing that animals are still being used as entertainment.

Very frustrated!!! I purchased tickets to the Zoo for 9/9/20 for my daughters, grandchildren and me. We had such a wonderful time that I decided to purchase two memberships. What was NOT told to me is how a membership admission differs from a daily paid admission. To sum it up, there is ONE day (actually it was really a few hours) to make a reservation for the following month. Hence, we can not visit the zoo any day in October or November as all the slots are full. General admission is open of course.

Ok for a family visit and to take the kids out. They have the same layout and their shows are the same since the last time I visited over 10 years ago

I've been twice and had fun both times. It does take longer to walk than it seems like it would so best to get there as early possible. Parking and food options are kinda lame though.

Great Park & Ride spot for the Bowl. The Transit Systems driver maneuverd the bus through Hollywood mayhem like a pro!!!

Knowledgeable staff and well taken care of exhibits. I only take off a star because some of the enclosures seem to noticeable depress the animals, especially the very tiny lion enclosure. We came on a quiet day and around feeding time so most of the animals were out and pretty mellow. Pay attention to the map because there's lots of winding trails and dead-ends to get lost in, but if you pay attention it's not bad to navigate. The mini scavenger hunt is a fun distraction to get you to see most of the zoo.

One gorilla just... stared at me while he ate. We just stared at each-other really, it was an odd feeling, I'm not sure who was more uncomfortable lol

Beautiful zoo, well landscaped, animals from 5 continents, with some endangered animals. For Australia: Wombat, Kangaroo, Tasmanian devil, Koala. For Africa: elephant, giraffe, hippo, lion, zebra. For Asia: elephant, tiger. For South America, a special place with the animals of the Amazon: pirhanas, jaguar, toucan, tapir, ara. 2 shops at the entrance, snacks for lunch.

Today was the first time in years that I went to the LA Zoo and it was so much more than I expected! The animals were easy to view. My 2 year old niece had a blast! I would definitely recommend the LA Zoo for family outing.

There is so much to do and see. Lots of babies out, from snow leopard to chimpanzee to giraffe and I m sure more we didn t see. Enough to keep you occupied all day.

Fun trip with our 8 year old. Gave her the map of the zoo and she led us around for hours. Never got a good view of the elephants though they were always on the far side each time we checked.

Wow. This place did not kill my wallet! Cool. Yes there is free parking and its close. Just ask if you can't find it.

Ok zoo that need some serious refresh. I think that at the Safari it would be easier to spot and watch the animals. It has been OK, but for a zoo that name LA zoo I would expect more. Not sure I will return to it if things will remain the same way they are now.

Just to have a nice day out with the fam and didn't spend much cash you know that's always gud....YEA....

Great Zoo! My Mom and I went to spend the afternoon and look at animals and we had a great time. Had a Beer and she had a wine and it was a great time. The only problem, causing a 4 star, was the staff. They were a bit lazy, not enthusiastic at all. Also there wasn't much going on. Otherwise, a great time.

It's a nice zoo to come and see? The only thing i don't like there's to much people now it gets over crowded people stepping on each other or strollers hitting u behind your ackles or rude people most times but other then that i love this zoo too. Need to expand the zoo more will be muxh better.

One of the best zoos I've been to. The layout of the park ensures you're never too far from the next exhibit. The was friendly and were usually able to provide anecdotes about the animals. Prices at the zoo were reasonable making this a great location for a family of any size.

Most exhibits are closed, reservations are a must. Very clean and social distance signs every where.

We went to the ZooLights on New Year's Eve (paid nearly $300) and it was so disappointing! The food was cold... ice cold, the steaks were raw, and only cooked on one side. It was inedible! Everything looked so hodgepodge and was 90% children. I love kids, but with the DJ playing nothing but children's games, it resembled a children's birthday party. I wouldn't have minded that as much if the food and entertainment would have been better, but it just looked half heartedly slapped together. I would not recommend it at all. Save the $300 and go to a really nice restaurant, instead.

I love this place to relax a little and enjoy with the family !!!

Love the zoo but it needs a major face lift and the animal enclosure needs to be much larger.

If you you haven't been here lately. You should come. Bring all the family. BUY the yearly package.

Boys had fun.. Got there a bit too late to see the Gorilla, Orangutans, and the Bears. But they did see the chimpanzees and they were clapping at the boys..

It was really fun .You got to see a lot of cute animals.

The Los Angeles zoo is a great place to spend the day with the kids. My wife and I visit the zoo with the kids frequently. We ve have had a membership to the LA Zoo for the last couple years now. We tried to take the kids as often as we can. Kids love to visit, they always have a great time and learn something new about all the different animals. They love to feed the giraffes, visit the petting zoo and participate in all the other activities that the zoo has to offer. I encourage everyone to visit the LA Zoo specially if you have kids.

The animals look really sad and not good. They are depressed and the the cages and areas are not big enough. Really sad to see that especially in a city where so many rich people are living. It's seems that the people don't care about it.

Nice zoo, lots of well placed kiosks for drinks and snacks in the heat. Also reasonably priced.

All the animals were available for display. It was a nice experience to feed ther giraffes too.

Its good for a hike lots of hills animals are awesome when there outside they look sad ticket lines suck but move fast everything inside is expensive so bring your own beverages

Very good zoo, the entrance has a value of 21 USD. It has shows of different animals so it is good to see the programming to enjoy them. It has a variety of restaurants inside.

Surprised thee were no cut outs of animals to take pictures

They dont have almost any show after midday ando souvernirs are all the sale...

This is the perfect place to go with your kid when there is no plan.

It is pretty big and clean. Great customer service.

I missed more educational activities for children or animal contact (there is a place with goats where the kids can pets them). I missed some resting areas to contemplated the animals.

The animals could have more place, but is not bad at all, doth.

Almost all restaurants are fast food. (Would be nice to enjoy the park with a vegetarian restaurant respectful with the animals).

I love the vegetation all around the park. There is a lot of shadows areas witch is great for a hot days.

Good parking.

The water show was awesome!!! Even my teen kids like all the light's.

This is a great zoo! Amazing diversity of animals, and grouped together in a logical manner.

Nice place. Fun walk thru. However. Don't like the monkeys small cages... :(

Nice place to visit with your family and friends watching and learning about all kinds of animals and environments.

It's not as big as the San Diego Zoo, but it is still very enjoyable. I really like that you can participate in giraffe and flamingo feedings. Those do cost extra. There are also pretty decent food options with ok pricing. While the food isn't fast food cheap, you certainly won't break the bank by trying to eat here. They do have picnic tables around the children's play area, so you can bring lunch from home. There is also a petting zoo.

It is a wide place if what you like is to explode and walk this will be a suitable place to do it as a family

The restrooms were clean. Plus it was easy to navigate.

My kids love the Zoo! But they want the animals free... Though they might have us for dinner in that case...lol

This is a clean zoo! Lots of attractions, reasonable priced food and drinks. I wish the ticket prices would lower at a certain time but other than that its great!

Very nice well maintained zoo.. my kid enjoyed a lot running around and in the carousel ... Except for the gorilla we could see all the animals mentioned in the exhibit.. the have African, Asian, Australian and American animals... They have a very affordable membership as well with a lot of activities going on .. ample parking space

I cannot believe the LA Zoo would be this aweful!! the animals are ALL sleeping or bored out of their minds, the exhibits are basic cages, not a lot of variety of animals, and you cant even see a lot of the animals 90% of the time because they're hiding from the heat, or the animal died and they never replaced it. If you want an AMAZING zoo experience and u happen to be in Toronto, Canada: check out the Toronto zoo!!! if you consider the LA Zoo a zoo, Toronto zoo will blow ur mind.

The Animals do there part ..but the people that work their and the Shuttle Employees are so Unorginized .All Over the place.They need a Better System for the Guest that board the Zoo shuttle.

You need a little more signage, but all very beautiful there are many areas to rest. If you are wearing blocker with very comfortable clothes without forgetting a lot of water.

It's a little depressing to animals look all sad and don't even move specially the lions

Had not visited in ages, so was refreshing seeing the exhibits and upgrades to the zoo. AND, enjoyed the petting area.

Really had high expectations coming in from the valley i was not to happy the animals were beautiful if they were out & more than 1 & lines omg sooo long .. I love all the stop areas & benches id go back just wish more animals

Awesome place to visit. Cheap entertainment. Through the holidays they open the zoo up at night. Millions of lights! We are for sure going back before the holidays end!
