I bought a membership earlier this year. It has been a great experience for my 3 year old. Free parking, reasonable food prices, and a good workout. The animals are fed during the talks which I think is the best time to go. Check the times on the map provided when you walk in.

Spent the day at the Los Angeles Zoo. Parking and ticketing was a breeze. Employees and volunteers were great, but were difficult to find when in need of help with exact directions to specific enclosures. Some of the restaurants were closed, but the one we found open that we ate at was clean and the food delicious. The gardens are beautiful. It's a great Zoo. Be sure to visit the Orangatans and say hello to Bruno for us!

It's a zoo and not a wild animal park, but you can see the animals are content. The chimpanzee exhibit is our favorite. Feeding is at 12:30p and then they head to the penthouse right after.

My kid loves this place and keeps her busy, so I like it too. Some areas and animal exhibits show their age and are sorely need to be upgraded. Be ready to do a lot of walking here so bring comfortable shoes, the zoo is big.

It is fine but there are no such animals as you think and very separated

Great place to escape during quarantine. Some places are closed which is a little sad but worth the walk anyway.

I went here yesterday with my fiancee and my nephew. The parking was really good, only 3 dollars and I found a spot right away. As soon as we get out of the car there were all these geese walking around on the grass...it seemed kinda weird to me. The entrance fee was only 7 dollars for each person and a dollar for a key to turn on all these different stories they had.

We love going ..but the only thing I noticed and it should be cleaner for the animals..make it more home like for them .. that is why we are investing when we go .. hoping the money that is the customers pay can be used for the care for the place these poor animals live ..

Great to walk! I think to see everything you need about 4 hours! I thought the food is accessible! Although you can always bring your own food and drinks! If you visit in summer do not forget sun block, hat and lots of water!

Massive zoo but we d walk for 10 minutes + without seeing anything, I don t mean sleeping animals I mean no exhibits just bushes and rocks. Very lackluster for such an expensive entry fee.

Well-kept zoo with plenty of parking. Hoping they reopen soon so I can go back with the fam.

Love the zoo! Family friendly and fun. Reasonable prices. Lots of wonderful animals to see. Bring a date or the entire family. Something for everyone.

A good place to walk and be will be from the jijjij family

It is very nice at the L A zoo, my favorite animals there are the giraffes and the gorillas, I want to see the baby gorilla too.

A very calm place, lots of shade, during the summer it is the perfect place to hang out, think, unwind. I have a family membership and begun coming here in the mornings before work... puts me in a good mood.

so much fun. but, it s even more fun during the christmas season! my family and i went for a christmas celebration at night. unfortunately, we weren t able to see any animals, but, in my opinion, we saw something way better. we passed through a tunnel of different colored lights and then we passed an area full of trees that were like those plastic battery powered trees you d see in the lorax. they emitted so much light and a beautiful blue color. they also sold hot chocolate, and i got some. it was just about the best hot chocolate id ever tasted.

I feel like animals get a little depressed in those tiny cages, especially snakes and amphibians, let alone hippos. The zoo is beautiful and the animals are well cared for, the service is good but I consider the cages to be tiny

Always a beautiful place just a lil disapointed with the popcorn size we asked for large and they looked like medium size popcorn.

Some animals areas are too dirty a little clean up with do. Nice place to definitely enjoy a long walk of exercise more with kids 2X better.

The Zoo in itself is a fun place to be. However I ended up going go see their Christmas lights. It was a very poor experience. Not much to see or to look at when it came to the lights. Better to go in the day time.

If you think you'll visit twice in a year, buy a membership to save a little money. And why wouldn't you go often? It a great place to get some fresh air and exercise, see some wild animals, support conservation efforts, and eat the best kettle corn in LA. There's even a park for little ones to burn some energy.

Sooooo much fun exploring the old zoo and an easy hike for all ages. My mom just kept remarking how the Los Angeles Zoo was pre-titanic & Downton Abbey Highly recommend checking this out!

Very pleasant and a great day to spend with the family and make some good memories!!!

This is a small slice of heaven just above Glendale is a GREAT place to go on a spring or summer Sunday morning or afternoon to collect one's self and spend time away from silicon based entertainment (internet). There is a wonderful Japanese garden with pools of coy fish, a lake that is temporary home to a wonderful assortment of migratory birds, a rosarium and stage performances and music. I especially like this Passover/Pascal time of year with all the huge varieties of lilies in bloom.

Great place to walk the dogs and take the kids to play in the open enclosures and cages, have a family picnic, or even take a hike/take pictures! Just make sure to go before nightfall, as it's not the safest in the zoo

I love to go to the L.A. Zoo because it is fun to explore, discover, see, animals and the employees are cery nice, the food is expensive but good and worth it

We had membership, and they did not respect it we had to renew it and it was a month before it expired (supposedly the children were not included) but the first time if they were included "because we acquired it" PD.and tell them if you win them Aver

I love the Los Angeles Zoo. It is the ideal place to take children and the family in general. Walk and meet different species of animals and above all have fun together as a family.

My first time to the La zoo and I loved my experience no complain here. Felt like a little kid

I loved the zoo. Had got bad referrals but actually turned out to like it. It's very big and it's a lot of walking but maps are provided. This was the first zoo I've been to. When we went parking was $10 it said free parking was full. They provide a shuttle to drive you around the zoo for a charge.

Love this zoo took my daughter for the first time ... It was amazing

The LA zoo is a great place to spend your day. Lots of animals that are well taken care of, lots of shade, free parking, and it's very clean. Very relaxing day and I would recommend for everyone.

Mid afternoon and all of the animals were asleep. Exhibits are not viewer friendly. Plants were somewhat high which made viewing harder. Not very many signs throughout...walked halfway down a path before figuring out where we were headed.

My daughter really likes LA Zoo. The food and drink in the zoo are very expensive, two bottles of water cost 9 dollars.

It was an experience, very hot.. I didn't see anything that was entertaining.. I've been to a few Zoos and they were more exciting Then this LA Zoo

Great price and attractions, especially compared to other alternatives.

My family had the annual pass & we would come every weekend! It was lots of fun & the park is huge so we would always see a different part or revisit our favorite exhibits when we came. Miss going, home to visit soon again!

Very fun for the children, although the food is somewhat expensive and there is not much variety but very nice to share with the family

The only thing that saved my trip to the zoo was my family because there weren't a lot of animals. One thing that I would tell you is to be ready to walk like a lot. The food and stuff to buy there was very expensive. Long lines and not a lot of sitting areas. But there was a nice section for kids to play and it handicap friendly.

It was awesome! We did enjoy with our family!..we liked everything!

It is an amazing experience to see and learn about all these exotic animals and the staff their are very helpful

This place was comfortably not crowded on Thanksgiving but was definitely hotter than the rest of the city. The animals were all out even in mid day and I rather wish there were more spaces for them to seek refuge from all the kid noise. The many interactive exhibits were great, though.

We had a lot of fun and fun in Los Angeles at the zoo. Here you can spend most of the day. And it is worth it. Many different animals. Just awesome.
