I saw the bird show it was really fun but a little to short.
Wonderful place cute animals fun the food was good my daughter and I went together on a school feild trip. Anyone who loves animals should go wonderful gift shops they have everything. Hear the sounds is amazing
The 3-year-old and 49-year-old found something to be excited about. It's a bit of walking, but it's a lot more enjoyable than shopping or arcades in my opinion. At these types of places, your visit is really what you make it. They provide interesting information to supplement your enthusiasm, and you take it from there.
Great deal, no charge to park, very well kept. Wonderful experience for the whole family
1st time at the night light display dope experience. No animals more walk and talk. the carousel was dope
Great place to visit and they have free charging for electric vehicles
Visited the zoo, wasn't disappointed!! Animal enclosures were kept and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Only real downside is the price for a bottle of water, but if it's going to animal conservation I'm all in.
Nice zoo for its size can be covered in half a day or less.
I love it so many animals to see and feedings you can do
I have a nice place to go with my family, the only thing that sells things in very high prices
Good walking with mild hills. Saw animals here that aren't at other zoos. Prices are reasonable on food and quality was okay. They offer vegetarian options at restaurants. Offer AAA Discount. Overall a good experience.
I love this zoo. It's second to San Diego. It's conservation efforts are what continue to bring me. They are continuing improving their efforts to make animals comfortable and provide then with an enriching environment. Is a great place to walk, take the kids and enjoy the day.
Negative: It can get extremely crowded on the weekend and the only way in can take up to an hour JUST to get into the parking lot. Is a horrible design.
Terrible
My son and i came a long way to the L A Zoo
They didn't let us purchase a ticket because we got there at 4:30 pm and they close at 5:00
An average zoo not horrible to walk around enjoyed meerkat stuck in a box most highlight was petting zoo full of judgemental goats prepare to work hard to find elephants
Fun time, great exhibits, just be ready to get a lot of exercise.
Went to the zoo today 6/17/16 and was extremely disappointed first off the animals looked hella depressed and old as hell especially the elephant and gorillas look like they been there since 1995 there were hardly any animals out to see it was a hot day maybe 90degrees but they were either hiding or just laying down looking with no emotion the snack bar is high ass hell and food terrible the park overall was clean but bees omg they were flying everywhere especially around the trash cans other than that maybe the only thing I did enjoy was the walk itz plenty of that to do but they need some new young healthy energetic animals and let the old ones go they really look sad
Great but they close the gift shops 15 minutes before closing. Very rude.
LA Zoo lights were nice to see and it was very decorated with all sorts of colors and lights which brightened the zoo.
The saddest zoo I have ever seen. Not a big selection of animals at all. Some animals were not even in their cages. The lions were passed out probably heavily sedated. The one and only gorilla was so depressed he stayed in the same spot looking toward a wall for two hours. Prices are ridiculous. Some guy wanted $25 for a bubble gun?!! For preferred parking you have to have cash only and for most vendors you have to have cash only! The only cool thing was the flamingos.
Not alot of animals there, and the entertainment plans were not enough to cover your couple hours of staying in the zoo. Overall not interested and won't recommend.
It was nice...Really big and spacious...I got tired of walking so much but I enjoyed it...
Had a great day here with my grandson! He loved it!
Love it..still brings back memories of being a kid...of course with new attractions..
Loved this place!!!! Been here twice and loved it both times!
My lil one mother and I enjoyed it. Lots of hills prepare to walk.
Christmas lights at the zoo is cool. The animals are the best.
Zoo lights are awesome recommend for the entire family
Always fun and you can bring food inside there is a playground for kids very clean place and amazing animals
Great place for walking and seeing a variety of animals. Lots of food options. Very family friendly.
LA Zoo has reopen with an amazing Covid-19 precaution setup. I enjoy coming here with the family to get out of the house.
Throughout the years the zoo has made many upgrades and it looks nicer. Great place to come with the family . You have 2 options to park. You can either pay $10 which is easier and more parking spaces available or you can park further away from the entrance and is free .
My Hubby and I took my 77 years young Mom and we all had a Fantastic time. They have electric wheelchairs to rent for $30. for the day, it worked out great . There's a lot of walking up and down hill and it was great for her with the scooter. Loved all the Animals, the Elephants were so Amazing to watch, we also got to see feeding time for some animals great experience. Try to get there early so you have enough time to see all the animals we went around 12ish and still missed an entire side of the zoo, but we also were taking our times and enjoying the animals. We went on a Gloomy day so it wasn't that Hot, it was Perfect. You can also take you own lunch there plenty of park benches inside to sit and enjoy yourselves. Also seen a kids play ground, and seen many having a good time. Will definitely be back to see the other side of the Zoo, missed the Lions , and many more. If you're on a budget tickets are on sale on Groupon!
You can enjoy all the animal and plant exhibits in a day with relatively little planning.
Get there early
Went to the zoo lights, it was worth it. My advice would be to get there early because you will have to form a line to get in
Fun to see the abandoned enclosures and imagine the animals before it closed.
Some absolutely brilliant enclosures and very well cared for animals.
Although there was some protesters outside the entrance they didn't seem to be aware of the conservational efforts of this zoo and the quality of the homes these animals had.
Yes some enclosures were small for the bigger animals but not nearly as bad as some places I've seen and everywhere was clean, animals had lots of good food and there were cooling systems in all the enclosures for comfort.
Very nice I love animals and is a bond to spend as a family
One of my favorite zoos. The new and renovated exhibits are just beautiful. The zoo staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Admission is a bit pricey unless you find a coupon.
Los Angeles should be declared a warzone? The many attacks I see in the future real of Los Angeles. The next one will be after July 25th 2020. For more info email smilelaughnowcrylater@gmail.com
Had fun today even in the warm humidity...I live in the High Desert...was nice to get there early and see all the animals!
it made me realize that I don t enjoy zoo s anymore. went there with my 4Y son, it was hot, expensive, and animals were not that easy to spot. a lot of walking too.
The place is Expectacular. I suggest that they should put more signs to indicate the routes.
Great place for the kids and also very educational and informative
Great experience!! Not bad for the price. Just highly rerecommend getting here as early as possible because the animals do tend to hybrinate right around 3p-4p.
Excellent and very funny my baby was his first time I watch the animals live and I am very surprised and very happy that he was content to touch one of the statues of the elephants ...
Chilling monkey !Los Angeles Zoo is a little gem perfect to get up and go and visit in one day if you live in Los Angeles . I used not to like zoosk because the animals are not on the wild until learning the stunning work they do to help endangered species
It had been a while since I had come to visit. I'm glad most animals were out and doing things. Perfect day we spent during my kids spring break. I was a little saddened that some restaurants were closed inside and others lines were so long. But other than that had a great experience. Definitely will be coming back.
19th Annual, Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition LA River Ride
Nice experience but I was hoping they had more lights, they only decorated trees and few bushes. I saw an advertisement about the light show and that Picture showed lots of lights, not exactly what I saw in real life.
