Quality modern zoo. Some exhibits need modernization.
Amazing place I love going there to see the animals
Great zoo with a huge number of animals. Lots of education as well: I felt like there was always something new to learn!
It's a very interesting place, I just think it's very run down. And the food is very expensive and cheap food is what they sell
Came from Utah to see the zoo and Disney land. The otters are way fun for kids as they interact with them, a lot of habitats where closed (beginning of October 2016) they have 4 penny smashing machines but no place to get change. Ask a food place they say no change available. Bring your own change if you like them
Didnt see any animals they were hiding. Walked around the whole park to only see a few animals. Ill try San Diego next.
It s the zoo brah. You get to see lots of animals including supercool Meerkatz.
I liked the Safari, the seals, otters and the ice cream
Very good how I went during the week there were not many people
Really clean and spacious and the employees are nice and courteous:)
So much walking around no electrical powered chairs for handicap people available that day so much pain
There are a lot of people but you don't notice orderly
The zoo was great. Animals were out . Very clean. Food was good. A big shout out to the guy who drew a sketch of my son it was wonderfully done
It is a beautiful place where you enjoy nature and animals
I used to love to take my kids to the zoo but over the past few months it s gotten so crowded. The place has also gotten pretty dirty and there aren t enough bathrooms located around. The petting zoo is really not well maintained. There are only a few animals available to pet. I wish they would have an app so you could know when the animal shows were.
Cool drizzling day is the best day at the LA Zoo, and the second best is any day you can get there.
My little boy really liked and so did we. The park is very big and when we went it was very hot, so plan a lot of water (at least the budget for) and sunscreen. There is also a great park where children can relax and play or take a picnic.
LAs hidden gem. Admission is so cheap. Lots of animals. I lower 1 star because feel bad for animals in captivity in general.
A lovely zoo but here are a few tips! Always buy your tickets online and the memberships are a great deal with good perks! If you buy tickets online you skip the massive line of people buying tickets at the park- and I mean massive! On popular days parking gets full but they offer 10$ cash priority parking. Wear comfy shoes and be ready to walk up and downhill. I like the food up by the giraffes best- their pizza is actually pretty good as well as their burgers. They used to have salads but they weren t there on 3/28/18 when last we went. It s a great zoo with lots of exciting animals! Don t forget to look for the Cerval- my favorite wild cat!
When My Brothers Went There You Had To Pay Parking And To Pay To Get Inside BAD ZOO TO GO
Nice location
Good amount of parking available.
Animal variety is just ok.
Amazing and also kinda sad watching those animals behind fences.
For the amount of money there were not slot of animals on display
The park has been closed for more than two months but it finally reopened on Tuesday, Feb 16th. It is a great zoo! There are so many exhibits and so many species! My favorite place to visit is the tropical bird and reptile exhibit and the big cat yard! The peacocks that roam around freely is a real treat. The staff is really professional and they take great care of the animals. They even take great care of visitors! They really made the experience special for me. I was definitely there to see the animals but I got the sense that some people were there just to get out of the house! And with capacity capped at 2,400 people per day, with a maximum of 400 allowed in per hour, there is lots of room for people to stagger themselves one 'zebra' apart...haha
Horrible experience. The worst zoo I have ever been too the worst $25 spent bad investment. The zoo was disgusting. The animals looked sick, weak, and depressed. The animals couldn't even be seen most were still enclosed from the public. Overall never going back animals looked neglected uncared for. Wouldn't recommend this park for no one. I left after five minutes of being there because it was pitiful.
Love the LA Zoo! They have several animal meet and greets through the day. You gotta have a churro sundae. Yummy!!
Love it here never to crowded, close to fwy. Animals look happy. Very clean. Loved it so much I bought a Annual pass. Great place to go walk and get excercise too!
Great zoo, much better than any of the zoos in Mississippi, Alabama, Lousianna, Florida and Georgia!
Love that place it's really big a bit expensive but if it goes for the animal it's all good
Wonderful visit with children. Recommend going in the afternoon to close
I never been to a zoo because I don't believe in caged animals this was my first and last visit to a zoo I was right no zoo for me I went just for the love I have for my little nephew
It's a pretty nice place to visit. Nothing overly spectacular but the bird show is entertaining and my son enjoys interacting with the animals they bring out every now and then.
Many animals, well frequented and quite crowded. A tour for the whole day.
We had an awesome 1st and 2nd grade field trip for the day! The children loved seeing the zebra running back and forth braying. They also enjoyed seeing the giraffes, lion, tiger, monkeys and many others. We brought our own sack lunches.
I had a great time at the LA Zoo. The animals were all out on sunny days, but when it rains, or even starts to sprinkle, they take them all in. I gave this place 4 stars because the food isn't really that good.
Very good place to take children to see animals and have a new experience.
We went with our kids and grandkids had a very fun day
Was a wonderful experience. Sadly the day we have gone it was very humid so I suggest going on a good day. But overall a great place to take your kids. Learning experience as well.
It's a great time to visit the zoo. With the cooler temps, the animals are more active.
Fantastic day out a lot of animals and tonnes of fun. Even on a wintery and wet day much activity from the animals.
Love the animals and different exhibits? That's they have. Especially love the Lair
I love the zoo... When you go at the right time when all the animals are up and going it's great! Got to take my daughter there for the first time and she enjoyed it very much.
Nice zoo. Viewing the animals is easier compared to other zoo's I've visited. A lot of the enclosures were closed and under construction. Maybe due to the time of year (Jan 1st). The terrain might be difficult for those in wheelchairs. There are some hilly areas. They do have a stroller and wheelchair rental area that looked like they had electric wheelchairs too. Lots of restrooms and they constantly had staff attending to them. Food prices are ridiculous so I would suggest bringing your own snacks. Buy the reusable cup for 5.99 as refills are 1.50 and sometimes free, just depends. I would give this zoo a 7 out of 10. Not the best but for sure not the worst. Well kept but lacking in animals and interactive exhibits. Free parking is lacking on holidays and I'm sure in the summer months too. Paid parking is $10.
We had a wonderful time with the kids. Is worth it.
The zoo is huge but I expected a lot more animals, birds and other living creatures. Too many exhibits are closed for renovation. It has a big number of places to eat and buy some useless stuff to serve as a gift. I guess I need to visit a zoo in San Diego.
The admission fee is just $20 for a person. Also there's free parking right in front of it.
Had an amazing time with my wife and kids. It was their first zoo experience and they loved it!
Overall a pleasant and interesting place to visit. Some exhibits closed (due to coronavirus?). A bit on the expensive side considering what is available to see.
Not a wide variety of animals. Most animals are animals that can be seems at any other zoo.
Magicoooooo .... Night tour .... Super .....
They have to see it
I loved.the economic program of the entrance $ 5 dls. X companion and free students.
It was the off season I guess, lots of animals not available to see. The outside entrance area was kind of ugly and not very welcoming.
I seems like the animals are happy and they have more space for the animals then other zoos. So it's not depressing. My 4 year old love its.
It's a very clean zoo. The staff is friendly and are great at giving directions. Alot of the animals are sleeping and look sickly, but over all it's nice to see all the different animals. My favorite part was feeding the giraffes!
It is a nice clean place especially the nature of the animals.
Too many strollers, though it is to be expected, it does take away from the experience
