Came from Utah to see the zoo and Disney land. The otters are way fun for kids as they interact with them, a lot of habitats where closed (beginning of October 2016) they have 4 penny smashing machines but no place to get change. Ask a food place they say no change available. Bring your own change if you like them

I used to love to take my kids to the zoo but over the past few months it s gotten so crowded. The place has also gotten pretty dirty and there aren t enough bathrooms located around. The petting zoo is really not well maintained. There are only a few animals available to pet. I wish they would have an app so you could know when the animal shows were.

My little boy really liked and so did we. The park is very big and when we went it was very hot, so plan a lot of water (at least the budget for) and sunscreen. There is also a great park where children can relax and play or take a picnic.

A lovely zoo but here are a few tips! Always buy your tickets online and the memberships are a great deal with good perks! If you buy tickets online you skip the massive line of people buying tickets at the park- and I mean massive! On popular days parking gets full but they offer 10$ cash priority parking. Wear comfy shoes and be ready to walk up and downhill. I like the food up by the giraffes best- their pizza is actually pretty good as well as their burgers. They used to have salads but they weren t there on 3/28/18 when last we went. It s a great zoo with lots of exciting animals! Don t forget to look for the Cerval- my favorite wild cat!

The park has been closed for more than two months but it finally reopened on Tuesday, Feb 16th. It is a great zoo! There are so many exhibits and so many species! My favorite place to visit is the tropical bird and reptile exhibit and the big cat yard! The peacocks that roam around freely is a real treat. The staff is really professional and they take great care of the animals. They even take great care of visitors! They really made the experience special for me. I was definitely there to see the animals but I got the sense that some people were there just to get out of the house! And with capacity capped at 2,400 people per day, with a maximum of 400 allowed in per hour, there is lots of room for people to stagger themselves one 'zebra' apart...haha

Horrible experience. The worst zoo I have ever been too the worst $25 spent bad investment. The zoo was disgusting. The animals looked sick, weak, and depressed. The animals couldn't even be seen most were still enclosed from the public. Overall never going back animals looked neglected uncared for. Wouldn't recommend this park for no one. I left after five minutes of being there because it was pitiful.

We had an awesome 1st and 2nd grade field trip for the day! The children loved seeing the zebra running back and forth braying. They also enjoyed seeing the giraffes, lion, tiger, monkeys and many others. We brought our own sack lunches.

I had a great time at the LA Zoo. The animals were all out on sunny days, but when it rains, or even starts to sprinkle, they take them all in. I gave this place 4 stars because the food isn't really that good.

Nice zoo. Viewing the animals is easier compared to other zoo's I've visited. A lot of the enclosures were closed and under construction. Maybe due to the time of year (Jan 1st). The terrain might be difficult for those in wheelchairs. There are some hilly areas. They do have a stroller and wheelchair rental area that looked like they had electric wheelchairs too. Lots of restrooms and they constantly had staff attending to them. Food prices are ridiculous so I would suggest bringing your own snacks. Buy the reusable cup for 5.99 as refills are 1.50 and sometimes free, just depends. I would give this zoo a 7 out of 10. Not the best but for sure not the worst. Well kept but lacking in animals and interactive exhibits. Free parking is lacking on holidays and I'm sure in the summer months too. Paid parking is $10.

The zoo is huge but I expected a lot more animals, birds and other living creatures. Too many exhibits are closed for renovation. It has a big number of places to eat and buy some useless stuff to serve as a gift. I guess I need to visit a zoo in San Diego.

The admission fee is just $20 for a person. Also there's free parking right in front of it.

It's a very clean zoo. The staff is friendly and are great at giving directions. Alot of the animals are sleeping and look sickly, but over all it's nice to see all the different animals. My favorite part was feeding the giraffes!
