I loved this place. Although many of the food places were closed others were open. Assess to enclosures were easy even for buggies. We spent the entire day here. Only negative was map was a bit confusing.
For a walk with a child for an hour or two, the most
This was my first time going here and I really enjoyed so fun
We love the L.A Zoo. Beautifully landscaped, lots of animals. You can't beat a stroll around the park. Feed the giraffes, take a ride on the carousel, then let your kids play at the playground! Plus membership is a steal. What's not to like.
Snack and beverages pricey as usual, otherwise, great renovations and my kids love it.
Great little zoo. But even with all the shade from the trees can get really hot. Bring water
The price of admission, no complaints there. I packed lunchI & took my 2 granddaughters, 3 & 5 for an adventure, and that's exactly what they got.
They didn't mind that they could not see over the chain link fences since grandma & grandpa were there to save the day.
Also not sure if it was the time of the day, 2 pm, but the animals were so lively that the girls just could not get enough of the exhibits. So in my girls eyes the day was well spent.
Cons: On 2 occasions I could not see through the glass, gorilla's glass is scratched and should be replaced and sea lions splash glass was just filthy. Also with it being in the later part of the day, trash had built up. Unsure if there is staffing issues but did not see any staff sweeping or picking up trash.
Ultimate question: Will I return? Yes, definitely.
My family and I had a blast. My sons loved the animals. Surprisingly my husband and his dad had a great time as well. We saw mist of the animals. This place is huge. I highly recommend you wear comfortable tennis shoes/sneakers and clothes as well. There's some uphills. You may bring snacks Nd drinks but there's also grills, gift shops, and cafes inside as well as snack carts around the trails.
Me along with my 2 kids and spouse enjoyed a ton over there.....
Love that it's not too crowded and so many fun animals too see.
Excellent ttrip to the zoo. My son particularly enjoyed the playground. Great zoo experience.
Animals were pretty active and looked very healthy/happy. Lots to look at and do.
I love seeing other animals like lions, otters, fishes, stingrays, jaguars, birds like macaws, flamingos, ducks, swans, and peacocks along with giraffes, elephants, and gorillas. I also enjoy all the food and treats you can buy at this zoo.
My family and I had fun watching the animals and other entertainment, it was a good walk we had a very pleasant time
I did not like. It was very hot and the animals looked tired and without water to drink.
A good place to take the children and let them direct us and see what they want to see
One of the best places to take the kids to walk around and enjoy a nice sunny day. The yearly pass is extremely well priced and worth the money.
Ok, expensive, would not come back. They don't honor coupons from rv sites hand out, check dates, they expired.
Is really fun and there's a lot of activities during the day
Best place for kids! I like their front line scheduling system the best. You can choose less expensive level but still works.
Being that its summer we hardly seen any animals sye to the extreme heat the animals were hiding
Very big Zoo, lots to see. Really awesome reptile exhibits, a must see!
Had a wonderful day with the fam bam kids r 17,12 and 11 and they had a great time bought my tickets online and saved us some time of standing in long lines
Awesome zoo. Just wish the signage were more clear.
Fun and you get to see the Animals, not like the San Diego zoo were they are so far away your lucky if you see an animal butt. Meir cats here are Amazing and so friendly. They all come out and say Hi
Clean, friendly staff, and the animals seem much happier than the ones at Oakland and San Francisco zoo's. And MUCH MUCH bigger!
LA zoo is a wonderful place to take your kids or grandkids anytime of the year. There is so much to see. It doesn't cost alot to have a good time here with family and freinds. Feed the giraffes and watch the monkeys interact with the people.
It is an extremely pleasant place, I recommend it, you will not regret it when visiting it
We had a wonderful visit. So well organized and great exhibits.
The holiday lights were such fun! The adults enjoyed the laser light show more than the kids!
I've been coming here since I was a kid lots of new stuff every time I come love it
What a nice, clean zoo. A little confusing with the trails but the animals are great.
I went to the Red Cross event, very disappointed that walking in the rain to the event, than the restroom where back down the hill! Not enuff transport, just one 2 seated cart BS
Amazing place for family. Ok food and great pictures. The walk around entire park took about 2 1/2 hours, super fun and worth it fully
We waited a long time to get inside the parking lot when we got in they had all this empty spaces ! So why the hold up in line ? We went to see the animals but most of them were hidding
Don't bother coming early or on time to the lights, people will cut in line and security will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
A really nice zoo! I've been here once or twice as a young child, and more recently when I was a high school senior. I went with my friend, who was volunteering there at the time, and I enjoyed it! They have a bird show I loved, you gotta see it if you can. I got to feed a giraffe too! The animals looked well taken care of and healthy.
I'll definitely be coming back here sometime!
It was fun. My favorite was the giraffes, monkees, tiger, and otters. Great for kids!
highly recomend going to, beautiful lights, wonderful time.
Thanks to the Public Library Discover & Go program we spent a rainy afternoon at the zoo. A good amount of the animals were not out, but taking it as an excuse to go back when the weather is warmer. We had a great time and the animals we did see were amazing. The chimpanzees were our favorite!
Recommend visits in fall or winter because the smell during summer is absolutely horrifying. A peacock might escape for the views once in a while.
I love animals & this iconic classic place to take your kids & give them the turn back the clock time a great heart.
Excellent experience for little kids, good place to go for walk with family & share time together.
Love our little local zoo. Staff is always great. And this temporary zoo Lights show is so amazing. My family and I always enjoy this seasonal display. Kudos L. A. Zoo.
LA Zoo Lights overcrowded. Nearly impossible to enjoy.
Employees were all extremely sweet and helpful. Lots to see and do. We had an amazing time feeding the giraffe!
Having been in LA for while, I can confidently say that a membership to the LA Zoo is one of the best ways you can spend your money in this city. Not only does the Zoo and it's foundation do so much good for the animals in their care, but the Zoo itself has so much more than most people take advantage of. Especially if you're a parent with children under their teens, this is a magical place to visit over and over. Can't say enough good things.
No one attending the parking lot entrance. Parking lot entrances closed except for one so long line out from zoo drove to parking lot. Such a headache we would have left but we bought our tickets online and drove all this way.
very clean and safe. it is a good place to take the children
