I loved this place. Although many of the food places were closed others were open. Assess to enclosures were easy even for buggies. We spent the entire day here. Only negative was map was a bit confusing.

We love the L.A Zoo. Beautifully landscaped, lots of animals. You can't beat a stroll around the park. Feed the giraffes, take a ride on the carousel, then let your kids play at the playground! Plus membership is a steal. What's not to like.

The price of admission, no complaints there. I packed lunchI & took my 2 granddaughters, 3 & 5 for an adventure, and that's exactly what they got.
They didn't mind that they could not see over the chain link fences since grandma & grandpa were there to save the day.
Also not sure if it was the time of the day, 2 pm, but the animals were so lively that the girls just could not get enough of the exhibits. So in my girls eyes the day was well spent.
Cons: On 2 occasions I could not see through the glass, gorilla's glass is scratched and should be replaced and sea lions splash glass was just filthy. Also with it being in the later part of the day, trash had built up. Unsure if there is staffing issues but did not see any staff sweeping or picking up trash.
Ultimate question: Will I return? Yes, definitely.

My family and I had a blast. My sons loved the animals. Surprisingly my husband and his dad had a great time as well. We saw mist of the animals. This place is huge. I highly recommend you wear comfortable tennis shoes/sneakers and clothes as well. There's some uphills. You may bring snacks Nd drinks but there's also grills, gift shops, and cafes inside as well as snack carts around the trails.

I love seeing other animals like lions, otters, fishes, stingrays, jaguars, birds like macaws, flamingos, ducks, swans, and peacocks along with giraffes, elephants, and gorillas. I also enjoy all the food and treats you can buy at this zoo.

LA zoo is a wonderful place to take your kids or grandkids anytime of the year. There is so much to see. It doesn't cost alot to have a good time here with family and freinds. Feed the giraffes and watch the monkeys interact with the people.

A really nice zoo! I've been here once or twice as a young child, and more recently when I was a high school senior. I went with my friend, who was volunteering there at the time, and I enjoyed it! They have a bird show I loved, you gotta see it if you can. I got to feed a giraffe too! The animals looked well taken care of and healthy.

I'll definitely be coming back here sometime!

Thanks to the Public Library Discover & Go program we spent a rainy afternoon at the zoo. A good amount of the animals were not out, but taking it as an excuse to go back when the weather is warmer. We had a great time and the animals we did see were amazing. The chimpanzees were our favorite!

Having been in LA for while, I can confidently say that a membership to the LA Zoo is one of the best ways you can spend your money in this city. Not only does the Zoo and it's foundation do so much good for the animals in their care, but the Zoo itself has so much more than most people take advantage of. Especially if you're a parent with children under their teens, this is a magical place to visit over and over. Can't say enough good things.

No one attending the parking lot entrance. Parking lot entrances closed except for one so long line out from zoo drove to parking lot. Such a headache we would have left but we bought our tickets online and drove all this way.
