I just went to this camp for 3 days from Wednesday to Friday with my school. On my first day for lunch we had a burger bun and bottom with just cheese and salad. They say were gonna have a beef burger but because of lent we got that instead. Not great food rather go to the subway near by as the food there tastes better. If you improve the food quality I'll come back and eat there. I also would suggest that they let use of gloves with any of the rope activities like the high ropes and giant swing to protect kids or adults against rope burn.

Absolutely disgusting. I went there for a school camp and the teachers were making it out to be this amazing camp. BUT BOY WERE THEY WRONG. It was horrible when we got there one of the instructors just jumps onto the bus and my friends and I legitimitly thought that he was a pedophile. I could rename it I would call it "The Great Aussie Concentration Camp."the food was absolutely horrible and as I walked over to get my cutlery (which by the way had mould and other organisms on it) i over heard one of the cooks to the the other cook "Is this cooked?" the last thing I have to say is that if your school is going there for a camp please state to them that the place is not what is cracked up to be and should be shut down for Backwash in the drinks, bodily fluids all around the cabins, and creepy instructors who look like they have been to jail for sexual assault.

The Great Aussie Bush Camp is a very convenient place to scrub up and grab a meal. They have a Subway store on site a you can purchase clothes from this store. Includes, Petrol Station/Service Station, Subway, gift store and amenities for your convenience.

The activities were amazing I went to this camp last week and I would definitely go there again
My favourite part of the camp was the giant swing it made my stomach drop.

The great aussie bush camp was pretty fun overall but the accommodation, food and lack of cleanness ruined the overall experience for me. First of all there were 8 showers shared between 150 guys in our grade and the smell in the toilet was absolutely foul. The tents were essentially bits of plastic held up by metal poles on a concreted floor and the ventilation was terrible, this and 12 pubescent boys don't go together very well. Don't even get me started on the food, the lunches were alright(mainly because it was barely prepared) the breakfasts were absolutely disgusting with sloppy and soggy bread with terrible tasting beans eggs and pancakes,I have been to scout camps where 12 year olds cooking over an open fire made better food than the supposed "food" we were served. The bowls, cups and other cutlery weren't cleaned properly. Many times i witnessed the kitchen staff hosing down the cups in a crate and then returning them. That being said the activities were pretty fun and (most) of the instructors were relatively nice.

The Instructors were cringy af.

The tents were stuffy, filthy and dodgy

Most activities were unenjoyable

You cant tell the difference between this and a concentration camp (Hitler did a slight better job with his camps though).

IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY AT ALL PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!! The food scraps we were served such as the old ham slices gave everyone in the concentration camp like cabins food poisoning and we were not allowed to leave them during the night to go to the bathroom, blood stains and other bodily fluids were found on the trashed mattresses as well as the occasional dead insect. If this camp were anywhere else it would have been shut down not to mention the ridiculous amount you pay to go to this camp. Attrocious and disgusting in every aspect

One of the worst camps I ve ever been to. Although the activities were good and the instructors were okay, the food was revolting. Dinner was the most disgusting, leaving many people hungry for three days. Not recommended.

[3.5 STAR] Should I say anything about this camp?? Nah, not bothered. Fine, I will make this short. Activities? Good. Accomodation? (Vomit). Facilities? Yeah, Ok. Overall, this Camp has many Pros and Cons, so don't listen to all the hate comments, okay? It is a good camp and overall I enjoyed it. You go, You don't go, up to you. Not my business

I think the great Aussie bush camp
( tea gardens) was better than I expected,I had lots of fun I didn t wanna leave, I loved all the activities but commando was the best I had so much fun and filled with excitement . The instructors were so funny and supportive. The food was pretty good not the best but better then nothing, if ur a picky eater take some snacks and don t complain, I was happy with the cabins/tents. It s an amazing experience, happy that I went And I would go back.

Thank you for the experience I enjoyed it

If you are a teacher and still go on school camps ...

If you are a teacher and still go on school camps elsewhere you need to re-evaluate your plans. From start to finish the instructors have got things under control, all you need to do is a bit of crowd control and back them up if needed. Teachers dine separately from students and the food is far from camp cuisine, they are also licenced for a beer or glass of wine which may appeal to some. Packing up, which is usually a horrible experience, was a breeze.

My son went there last week had a great time at the camp with all activities and staff where fairly nice but not overall in favour of management . My son who will normally eat anything and I mean salad ,veggies , any meat or any thing other then seafood was disgusted in food and quality he choose to starve .he was not only starving but no sauce or was aloud to ask for any or extra food . He is very fit and competes in karate tournaments and rides motor cross and normally camps and eats under any conditions and isn't a pig or overweight . He came home starving and said his mates all took snacks as there parents where told by others before going the food isn't good and not enough to fill you up so send food for your kids . I didn't send snacks as it was against the school policy and paying $270 thought he would be more then looked after . I am so pissed of he couldn't call me to get help or his teachers not act on this . I think it's so terrible to recall the negative comments and see the nsw schools continue to go to this place I'll be making a complaint to the school and education department . He has also very sick since he got home last Friday and still isn't well .very dissapointed in the Aussie bush camp .

Honestly not that bad, activities were great. BUT the accomodation, at most I would give it a 2 star, the beds felt like a middle ground between a plank and hard mattress and the showers and bathrooms are filthy, there's mud all over the ground and it's very hard to breathe because of the poor ventilation and steam. Food. If your a picky eater I don't think you will be able to survive, but if U don't mind food it's not that bad a 3 star at most. Would go there again for activities but wouldn't go there again just because of the accomodation and food.

The activities were pretty good, and the camp, overall, allowed me to understand the life of Jews during the Holocaust, and its four stages:
Vilification: when a camp guide told a guy to shut up, and a few even said "why are there so many asians"
Segregation: Deportation of students from another campsite due to the camp's inability to understand that a group of people with names like "John" and "Josh" are not, in fact, female
Concentration: when the camp tried to fit 12 people into one van sized tent with no ventilation whatsoever
Extermination: when they decided to not clean the toilets and poison all the kids to death.
Also, we found a family of 20 cockroaches having a frat party on a piece of bread.
Night guards had plenty of chromosomes to go around.

Strongly recommended, food is great along with accommodation and the staff are very friendly! Devin is the best instructor closely followed by Lucas with his one and only good tattoo. The instructors are fun and easy to get along with. See you later boyos .

Thank you for our wonderful stay!

The cabins were not even cabins. They were mansions with air conditioning and your own personal butler. The king sized mattresses were amazing and we had caviar for breakfast. It was like a 5 star hotel in Las Vegas. There was sticky white substance on my bed but im sure it wasn't bad. However i fell over and my nose began bleeding but the guides gave me some tampons to stop the bleed. Thank you for that guys, i appreciate it. Best of all, the night guard was constantly staring into my cabin while i was trying to sleep and it gave me vivid memories of when i was captured and tormented by a pedophile which is why i give this 5 stars. And the guides/trainers had plenty of extra chromosomes to go around so best experience ever. The best part about the experience was the food. I actually saw Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen preparing the delicacies and got his autograph. Definitely worth 300 dollars in my opinion. I totally wasn't robbed by the school. Goodbye, i will now proceed to kill myself.

I went here with my school CTHS, we are the largest school they have coming to the camp every year so I expected something a little better than a 15 by 5 feet tent held together by metal that also held our beds, or should I say mats, the hard concrete floor made the tent very unwelcoming and cold and we had 12 people sleeping in this space, so after three days the room smelt and looked terrible and at night the temperatures of the tents reached what felt like 5 degrees celsius.

The food at the camp wasn't spectacular.

The only good thing about the camp was the organisation, they managed quite well for the size of our group, and the activities were also quite fun.

I didn't find the camp "value for money" as the living conditions were poor.

Overall this camp is a good experience but needs better living conditions.

Okay, So I went here on Wednesday the 14th to Friday the 16th. The activites were great. Most of the instructors were great. A lot of them nearly made me go deaf with a whistle. But that can be set aside. All I really want to talk about is the food.

1st of all. When I got there my lunch was hamburgers without a patty. Just call it a sandwich.

My dinner: The bolognese was great but there were too many veggies. You should have a veggie bar.

Day 2:

Breakfast: Sausages were great. The eggs leaked out milk. Don t add that much milk. The eggs proceed to taste like eggy milk which isn t very great. The pancakes were cold and the toast was too wet. Also, use better milk and don t leave it out. It taste weird

Lunch 2: it was a sandwich with processed meat. Can t go wrong there tbh

Also keep the snow cones

My dinner was 2 nice sausage rolls and a burger. That was great.

Day 3:

Breakfast was the same but no sausages. I actually ate some cereal that day but as I said it s disgusting.

Lunch was snow cones.

To sum it .
1. Don t hype kids up. Just say what they re going to get
2. Don t add too much milk to eggs
3. Too many veggies in a spag bowl is a real thing
4. Replace your milk
5. Cook everything fresh

Also my cabin was hot and I woke up in the middle of the night in a pool of my own sweat.

Also keep Kurt. He s awesome. Along with that British guy.

It's okay

The cabins weren't the best, food was alright but there was a very large variety of different activities to do and all were very fun and creative, and I loved High Ropes and Kayaking. Good choice for anyone willing to do high-intensity and fun activities such as the giant swing, (they aren't lying when they say giant) or the High Ropes activity.

First of all there is absolutely NOTHING "great" about this camp. The food wasn't enough and it tasted like garbage. The toilets look like they've been there since the beginning of time. The showers are appalling and filthy as a pigsty. The mud run was horrible as they kept throwing mud at you. You barely got to do any of the activities because it was so short. The wait times were too long.
I rate this camp 0/0

I just recently stayed here (Tea Gardens) for my Year 7 camp, and I was underwhelmed by the living conditions here.

The food was poorly prepared, flavourless, but thankfully substantial enough to fill us up. The burger patties were apparently made of kangaroo meat, and they were cooked well and tasted alright. The spaghetti bolognese tasted of nothing, and the spaghetti itself was very watered down. One of my friends found an entire half of an onion in her bolognese. We also got free snowcones and ice cream, which at least made my experiences with the food slightly more satisfactory. The cutlery itself was unclean.

Our school unfortunately stayed in tents, while the teachers stayed in cabins. My tent was in a decent condition, although the bunk beds were unstable and the mattresses had an uncanny resemblance to the gym mats you come across at school. The tents were ever so slightly below average in size, but my 8 friends and I managed to fit comfortably. My tent experience then took a sharp, negative turn. On our second day at camp, we received a bitter surprise: ants around most of our so called "beds". There were no ants near my own bed, however one of my friends found some ants crawling inside her sleeping bag. We also found 2 spiders and a slug in our tent. I also noticed that the boys' tents had a higher quality than our own.

Anybody reading this may have heard about Warren the Nightguard, and it is certainly true. Warren will not physically come into your room at night, however he will abruptly bang on your door and tell you to shut up if your tent is loud. He may also threaten you to stand on the teachers' porch for an hour if you are too loud.

I'll move on to activities now, which improved my overall camp experience. My instructor was Jason, and he was genuinely funny. He explained our activities well. He wouldn't force us to do all the activities either. Unfortunately, it was raining the whole time we were at camp, so everybody got extra muddy. A guy in my grade fractured his arm on the last day. I must also mention that Hayden is inconsiderate and mean according to some of my friends' encounters with him.

The worst part of camp were the bathrooms. They were in an atrocious condition, with beatles, both dead and alive, in every cubicle. Each sink was occupied by at least 2 live beatles. The toilets reeked of poo, and you could smell them from metres away. In the nearby shelter, there was a pair of striped pink underwear with blood stains on it.

Camp was not all without fun, as we had a night activity on both nights. On the first night, we had a disco, which was fine enough. It was compulsory, but half of my friends didn't want to go. I was drained of energy after the disco was over. On the second night, we had a challenge night, which was much better than the disco.

My outright favourite part of camp was leaving. It was a time of tranquility and joy. I have to say, camp taught me a lot about resisting your hunger and living with bugs. It wasn't satisfying to me. I wouldn't want to come again, and I wholeheartedly oppose putting children through the torture of uncleanliness.

FANTASTIC PLACE! I have just returned from a three day camp with my Primary School students. We all had such a great time. They loved the activities and all achieved personal goals on the exhilarating giant swing, power fan and rock climbing! We went orienteering, learnt valuable skills in teamwork and cooperation and made delicious damper round the camp fire. The accommodation was comfortable and food was great. The attention to detail was notable and they catered for every individual need. Everything was highly organised, which is a bonus for teachers travelling away from home with a bunch of kids! Our instructors were amazing: they worked tirelessly and enthusiastically. A wonderful camp experience for school kids! We will definitely be returning.

I recently went on a school camp here. Activities were great and super fun. The food isn t bad as a lot of people say about this place, not the best but still pretty good. The only downside about the places is the cabins and the bathrooms. My cabin had bugs crawling around the place, there was only a small fan for the 7 of the people in the cabin, which was only pointing at one bed. The bathroom tho literally was infested with bugs on the floor and urinals. Other than that everything was good or decent, instructors were good, I liked Luke he was funny and good.

MUST READ!!! I went to the great Aussie bush camp and it was amazing. The food was yum they had very clean cabins surprisingly because it was a camp. There was a security guard to monitor the cabins. There where activities such as the giant swing and many more very fun activities. for breakfast, they had sausages, pancakes baked beans and more breakfast foods. You could bring your own food. The camp costs $300 and it is worth the try it was a great experience for me.

P.S the guy that wrote the review under mine (warren the nightguard) wrote a rivew that was totally wrong

I went to the great Aussie bush camp with my school. It was such an awesome experience! My friends and I capsized on our canoe and our instructor Jess helped us. Jess and her funky dance moves was the best, and I hope she sees this :) Overall it was GREAT!

Great Aussie Bush Camp in Kincumber is absolutely disgusting and unsatisfying. Worst camp experience ever. The cabins were just filthy and horrifying. The food was just horrible in every aspect. The hamburger meat is something I wouldn't even serve to my dog. 76% of the cutlery still had some sort of food on it still which is absolutely disgusting. Your instructors are honestly such a rude bunch, their attitudes are disgusting. Shoutout to Carly though who was such an outstanding and encouraging instructor. Showers did not have hot water for a majority of the time. The toilets are absolutely filthy. Finding several cockroaches in the helmets for one of the activities is absolutely unnaceptable. This place seriously needs to be checked out, Never again will I step foot in this venue. - @moniqueboboleska

personally, I really enjoyed the food, but a lot of my friends said the bread was stale and the food was bad. I liked the county fair, that was nice but the cabins. there were bees on the floor, and the 'mattresses' were pretty bad and hard. also get some different flavours of ice cream

My experience was terrible (at Kincumber). Here's why:
- The cabins were BOILING. And when I say boiling, I mean boiling. I couldn't sleep, and I had to keep on going outside for fresh air.
-The bathrooms were full of crap. It was disgusting having to go there each time.
-The activities were kind of fun, but, still they lacked proper thought and seemed rushed.
-Finally, snowcones. Snowcones sound yummy, but, believe me, they're not. They're just ice with a bit of cordial.

Well, it's not as bad as most of the reviews say, but it could still use some fixing up. The accommodation was better than it was, yet it was still rather unsatisfactory, whereas the food was virtually inedible, and the meat was an awful greenish-raw colour. The activities were great, but everything else wasn't really. Recommended for...well...I wouldn't recommend it for anyone, really.

The Great Aussie bush camp.

The Great Aussie bush camp.

First of all there is no way that this camp is great, maybe tough and enduring would be more appropriate in this instance. I'm writing this review from the bus about to leave and as I cast my eye over the green, mosquito and fly ridden area of dank air I see many fun activities. The activities themselves are perhaps the best part of this camp. I say best, meaning not bad. The giant swing is fun for about 2 minutes when it is your turn but otherwise enduring. Raft building and the lost island are fun but you might not be able to see out of the mud. I also believe a cut I received on the course is now infected. Other activities like canoeing are fun but are not done any favours by the muddy water they inhabit. By the way this is a review of this camp. I understand it is a bush camp and is meant to be tough but some aspects are both disgusting and vile. The accomodation is at best protective. You are kept in a tent that is restirictive, leaks like a colander EVEN WHEN THERE IS NO RAIN and has no standing room. I am not tall, about 5 foot 9 but I struggled to fit in both the bed and the showers. That takes me to the showers. Never before in my life have I seen a more dangerous and utterly disgusting shower block. The paint on the floor is cracked, posing a risk of both slipping and getting your foot stuck in the torn off bits of paint. I come from the biggest school in the state and I can tell you the waits were long and painful. The camps food is the POLAR OPPOSITE of hygienic, nutritious, filling or tasty. The pworst part of the food is there is about a fifth of a normal serving to a plate and YOU CANT HAVE SECONDS without riskily trying to convince the instructors you hadn't had any. Day one we had a small burger with green meat for lunch and a BBQ for dinner which was arguably the least bad meal we had. Here the meals went down in standard to cheap spice and bad vegateables on crappy rice. No one ate it. The best bit was the "garlic bread" (slice of bread with some garlic thrown on it).

First thing to say is that you must bring a blanke...

First thing to say is that you must bring a blanket, a pillow and an insect repellent during the summer. My school went there and was first welcomed by a swarm of flies. As the week progressed, we got used to it and had to leave it as be. My school stayed at Site 5 and was decent to say the most. The floors were concrete, blankets and pillows were also not provided.

Now, the food. The food was utterly atrocious. First day and some of us boys were starting to have diarrhea. As a result of this, many of us brought instant noodles to eat. The toilets and showers are not inside of the rooms and have to walk a couple of meters just to get there. Depending on which room you are in, it may be lucky or unlucky. You are not allowed to have seconds, leaving most of us hungry. Breakfast was the only thing that left us full. The cereal was there for you and will always be by your side. The ice-cream was also atrocious. They served us Coles-branded ice-cream which was not sweet and tasted nothing like ice-cream.

Furthermore, the activities. The activities made up for all the negatives said above. My school had a variety of activities ranging from mud activities to off the ground activities. Commando is a night activity and is a must have. It is a students vs teachers based game giving it a competitive edge. Teachers are with a few students, also known as hostages, and students have to set out into a forest area to find them. If they are caught by the teacher, they go back to the campsite to tell the instructor a joke and gets another shot of saving a hostage. Some activities that deserve a special mention would be the high ropes, survivor and lost islands.

On the other hand, the bus trip to the destination led to a few accidents on the bus. It was a 3 hour drive to the venue and 5 hour back due to traffic. As it is located outside of Sydney, make sure to hire a coach with a toilet on it.

In Conclusion, The Great Aussie Bush Camp is a decent camp for higher aged student years. It makes them come out of their comfort zone, think outside the box and more.
Overall, 3.5/5 stars

I was there a few days ago, and the food tasted extremely bland and gross + I'm pretty sure a few people from my school got food poisoning from the meals there. One of the students injured themselves on the giant slide, and an ambulance had to be called, even though they were following all the rules. Some of the instructors were quite friendly but there were also some rude ones (an instructor named Lena was very nice and everybody liked her). The cabins my school stayed in were prison-like and I'm 99% there was a blood stain on one of the mattresses. There were 10 showers in the campsite I stayed at which had to be shared by about 125 students. The activities were fairly fun, but as someone with a massive fear of heights, there were too many ones which were quite high up. In two of the activities, about five students in my class weren't able to go on because of 'time restrictions'. Happy that I never have to go there again.
