I just got back from the Great Aussie Bush Camp. I had a great time. The cabins were more than I expected, the food was amazing, the activities were fantastic!! I loved everything. You even get free snow cones!! :) The staff greeted us in a friendly way. Don't forget to bring extra clothes because you do do mud activities. I had Dan as my instructor. You were great Dan, you helped us overcome our fears and have fun. I would go back any day!!! :)

My daughter had food poisoning from the burgers they ate. Apparently the meat was green. She told the lady her meat was yuk and got the response I have nothing else to feed you just eat it. Hungry as she ate it and ended up getting food poisoning. I had a call from her teacher to pick up after not even a day at the camp. Now waiting to see if they will refund part if not all the money we paid for my daughter to get sick.
If I had read the reviews she would not have gone.
Sucks that her camp was cut very short and she missed out on having fun with her mates. I think a food safety review is in order!!!

She also said her spaghetti noodles were raw!

When I went to the Great Aussie Bush Camp, I had the time of my life. There were great cabins, okay food and free snowcones! Shoutout to Jay and Gary, some of the most funniest people I have ever met.

I was on school camp. There were barely any ladders attached on the bunk beds and the screaching sound of the mattresses. The food wasn't the best but it was ok. The activities were great accept commando. In the morning I could hear the trucks passing through the Pacific Highway. The bathroom was bad and we only had 1 hour to shower. Overall the activities were great but the food can be improved.

The food was average and the tents weren't great but the activities were so much fun! I would definitely recommend high ropes and canoeing. The counselors are really nice and lots of fun. Just a point though don't do mud run in winter (Its Freezing) and if in tents bring lots of clothes and warm sleeping bag in winter (it gets very cold) Altogether its lots of fun and a very nice and friendly environment with beautiful surroundings

The activities were FUN, favourites were flying fox and giant swing! Our instructor, Mellow, was chill and nice. The food, mostly the dinner, was terrible. The chicken burger was one of the only tastiest ones. The accomidation was TERRIBLE. We slept on thin and hard gym mats. They were not even close to the toilets at all. All in all thougg the camp was fun and I reccomend it. Get a cup as well for the icy cup.

Alright, here we go.

Alright, here we go.
First thing i will tell u is not to get ur hopes up about the cabins as they are not good, no carpet and you sleep on gym mattress like things, next the food is decent, sometimes it is dodgy and stale but the activities and instructors were awesome. Especially Isaac. So i give it a 3.5/5

The Great Aussie Bush Camp was an amazing experience for me. The instructor that I had was very kind to us. People say that the food is horrible but you need to think about how many kids they feed each day. You should definitely come here some time.

Food was not very good!!But free snow cones,Not a big fan of them but that's my opinion. The kayaking activity is unsafe!! They have little knowledge on the depth of the water, if you stick your paddle stick in the water it wont reach the bottom. There is a certain area that drags you away (WARNING THIS IS UNSAFE!)But the giant swing, the giant flying fox and the late night game was fun.My fav part was when we got to run our on shops and there was brownies, fairy bread (Me and some friends ran) milkshakes, arcade, jumping castle and more.the beach walk is a bit boring but that's ok. I would recommend being over 10 if you're going

They are working on the camp to make it a better place, food was very bad (Still needs to be worked on.) and activities are fun. But their is an issue. The instructors are really disrespectful, not going to give names. We were given excessive profanity and no respect. We were also "forced" into doing the mud activity, being called 'Girls' as we refused to participate.

Firstly, I been here for 3 days. The concrete floors are quite dusty. There was food being wasted. My loud friends had made a mess in our cabins. The male toliets and showers were very dirty. They cant even wipe the tables properly. Not even a TV was founded.

Secondly, We woke up with loud music and banging on the door like as if a party was going out there. But guess who it was.... The instructors. Rather than using loud music, Why don't you just open the door and just tell the kids-adults just to wake up instead? That is the worst way to wake up someone. The teachers cabins were really like luxury like 4 star and our cabins were obviously 1 star. You cannot even believe how the air conditioners just drips in our cabins. Heavily unstable mattresses that I had to wriggle around.

Lastly, everyone was really dirty due to the dust. Surprisingly, we went around the camp in an extremely humid day. I had to even carry a girl. She thanked me for carrying her around since to a hot day. Gosh, Those Year 10 peer leaders swear a lot. You should have better control of this kids because they curse a lot too. Especially Year 7s. I must admit, the instructors are good enough. There is food on the ground that no one has been daring to pick it up. I am sure the school kids is thinking about how insane this camp is.

Completely insane camp and also chaotic. Reminding you of a concentration camp. I am a Year 7 boy from Ryde Secondary College. Believe me, your not recommending anyone to go there. Overly expensive. I would even think what the instructors and etc might think, "IT MUST HAVE FELT SO GOOD WATCHING THE SCHOOL KIDS SUFFER FROM OUR CAMP!" It would be truly shocking if they think about that.

The cabins that me and my friends were in was like aushwitz we were sleeping on the floor on a thin little layer of a gym mat. The food was absolutely disgusting for lunch we had burgers and the meat was green. Before we left we sore what they do to clean the room which was nothing they did not clean the mats at all they just wipped the crumbs off their hands the only other thing they did was they swepped the floor with the broom.
Basically never ever go here.

The tents were slightly unhygienic even with a sleeping bag but that's the only problem I had
The food is nutritious and tasty, the activities were fun and pretty exciting and I really enjoyed the night activities!

'The Great Aussie Bush Camp', granted it was 'Aussie' and it definitely was a 'Bush Camp' but 'Great' is an over exaggeration. I'm not going to sugar coat this in any way so let's just get straight into this. Food, terrible, i now have food poisoning and stomach aches that make me feel like i want to rip out my stomach. On the first day, they served us beef burgers for lunch, can't go wrong right? nope, the 'patty' was rock solid and made a ''dink'' sound when tapped against the plates.
Thanks 'The Great Aussie Bush Camp'.

Moving on to the hygiene and overall accommodation, 5/12 of the showers did not have running hot water, and every time someone entered a nearby shower, the pressure of the water coming out from the head of the shower lessened. My first shower experience there was not 'fantastic', i found a used pad in the seat of the shower and mould growing in the most unfortunate of places. I'm not going to comment on the accommodation because i was one of the few people that were lucky enough to stay in the small (half a car) sized cabins. So i'm keeping my mouth shut for that one.

Overall, i disliked it but the activities were good, hated the 3 hour lecture on ''where sand goes on the beach'' but other than that it was ok. Oh and please make those concrete tunnels for the 'Commando' night, just a little bit bigger, because people that are 174cm tall cannot get through them without scraping there back along the top of it, leaving a massive gash on their backs.

Once again, thanks 'The Great Aussie Bush Camp'!

Had an amazing time at this camp. The food was pretty good, the activities were a lot of fun and the rooms we stayed in were great. But most of all, the staff were truly fantastic. They were all so kind and enthusiastic and made the time there worthwhile. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good time

Let's start with the bad shall we? The food portions were FAR TOO SMALL and were not filling. We could not get seconds as well. The cabins are very poor with hard, dusty ground and 4 bunk beds including thin uncomfortable mattresses. In our cabin there was a spider in the corner of the room. The supervisors mades us sit IN THE RAIN ON WET LOGS.

Now to the good. We had this chill instructor named Alister (sorry for wrong spelling) who was really helpful and fun. The activities were very enjoyable especially the high ropes course and flying fox. Despite having one of our activities cancelled due to bad weather, we all had a good time. Props to Alister.

Good tip for everyone, BRING FOOD because I guarantee you will still be hungry after breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Normally this is only used as a quick pit stop for a toilet break and drinks.

I have had a few times there where the operator is more interested with what's on his phone, sending text messages and scrolling through Facebook, rather than looking after the customer, that's very poor customer service on their behalf.

Quite a bit can be said about "The Great Aussie Bush Camp" first of all the toilets were absolutely disgusting and the showers so so foul that I felt more dirty coming out of the shower than when I went in. The food was below average and lacked flavour completely. The hamburger was plain so much I had to drench it in BBQ sauce to give it taste, the spaghetti was wet and the breakfast was once again, plain. The activities were quite enjoyable but the accommodations were the worst part, having 12 people pushed into a small stuffy cabin where the ventilation was non existent was an unpleasant experience. Overall food was terrible, hygiene was also terrible, the cabins were below average but the activities were enjoyable

i thought this camp was pretty great; the activities were actually really fun, and you got to have a go at things you normally wouldn't do. i found it convenient having an hour to ourselves before dinner so we could do whatever we wanted. the night activities were semi-decent, they could have been better (like ''battle of the sexes), but i wouldn't complain too much about it. what bothered me the most is that a lot of visitors on this camp were complaining about the food. honestly, you guys were handling pretty much 500 people at a time, and the portion amounts were perfectly fine! i think a lot of people were over-exaggerating and not appreciating the fact that we had decent food. i thought the mud activity was fun, but i found some weird rubbish in it and some non-hygienic stuff so you might wanna check that out, and you should be careful with the commando night activity. i spotted a whole bunch of spiderwebs and i know some people that tripped over into ditches. camp isnt supposed to be luxurious and fit for kings like a lot of people thought, so dont be upset by their harsh criticism. overall, i am quite happy with how camp turned out as i expected it to be a lot worse and also shoutout to kurt james potter !

The Great Aussie Bush Camp is aptly named.

The camp was a very enjoyable experience, offering challenge for those willing to take it. Unfortunately many students didn't enjoy the overall experience, but what did they expect?

The instructors were fair and fun (Shout-out to Jay), meals were of expected quality and accommodating was primitive but fitting.

The venue did exceptionally well in catering for close to 500 students, but it cannot be ignored that the food was widely despised. *They're just soft.*

The accommodation received a lot of mixed responses, but I believe they brought yet another bonding experience for camping buddies.

It was a great 3 days, and I enjoyed myself thoroughly.

I loved the camp because it pushed me to my limit and the food was amazing I had the best time of my life and I hope I can came back and I will say from me and my friends you are doing a great job giving us a chance to make lots of new and fun memories

The camp made WWII seem like a joke, one of the Instructors told one of my friends he wasn't going to make in far in life, yet he is working there.... total crap. Warren the night guard looks like a hag and his mustache was bigger than his brain. Minimum wage job made him look like that, poor guy.

So like we were forced to go on this camp which I was freaked out about since people from my school who went there in the past said it sucked, and that fear grew bigger when I actually saw it in real life. It looked more depressing than a concentration camp.

However, as they usually say, don't judge a book by its cover, the actual experience wasn't that bad. The activities (especially the giant swing) were actually really fun (even lost island although putting my whole head plus hair in mud was very gross and also the fact that we had to throw away our clothes and shoes was sad :/ ), the food was pretty good (I was a dietary requirement person so i had chicken instead of beef and that wasn't bad. I don't really get why people said that the food was bad -- at least we got food!) and also just being with people and friends our age was kind of nice.
BUT, the 'tents' (actually tarps held up by poles with no floor) were by far the worst thing. They were really cold and damp in the night time but humid and stuffy in the day. The floor was just concrete and seemed quite dirty. And the 'beds' were very uncomfortable (I became sleep deprived) and had no space to sit up, like LEGIT. I slept on the top bunk and even when it didn't rain the roof was wet and when I lifted my head I touched it and my hair got a bit wet. Also when I came in for the very first time the 'mattress' had some dirt on it, which was kinda gross. I'm only like 5 foot 6 but i even had trouble fitting my whole length on the bed without kicking the person sleeping next to me.
TBH the bathrooms weren't bad for public bathrooms but the showers didn't supply hot water and shower time for me was not pleasant. It was nice though how 'clean', I guess, they kept the bathrooms. The instructors were pretty okay, but I heard from other people that they were kinda nasty and rude. The geography session where we left camp for 4.5 hours was boring but the sand dune experience was nice although it was very tiring walking in the sand!

Overall, a pretty good camp and wouldn't mind going again (but in cabins with actual beds) :D

This camp was pretty good when it came to the quality of activities and daily routines. The male instructors were helpful and friendly, whereas the female instructors forced primary school level humour, which instead made me cringe lol. The instructors also made us sit on muddy logs in the rain for long periods of time. However, the food was really bad, whether it be undercooked, too small of a portion or just plain disgusting. Additionally the mattresses were less than 5cm thin, dusty and uncomfortable. And the cabin was very unwelcoming, with hard, dusty concrete floor and extremely unstable bunk beds. This place should be called The Great Auschwitz Bush Camp.

It was great!

So I went here for my Year 8 camp. And well my experience was somewhat okay. Like the food wasn't that great and majority of our grade didn't eat the food and we lived on the bus snacks, we brought from home. The cabins also, weren't that great. They were dirty and cold but once again, it's camp, so it's best to keep your expectations low. Although the food and cabins weren't great the activities were. And even better the group managers / leaders. We had Kaitlyn (or however you spell it) and let me tell you something.. If you have her, your camp is made 1000% percent better.

eh it was alright, the activities were a lot of fun but the food wasnt at all that good, needed more variety instead of bread for every meal also the tents were a bit crammed for 12 people but the bathrooms were surprisingly nice. didnt enjoy night activities

The food was disgusting, the tents were filthy and we had ants in our cabins some instructors were purposely ignoring you. The only good things were the activities. The second ladder on the abseiling was moving as you try to climb up which was dodgy. Overall I probably wouldn't come back

It's time for Google to introduce different rating...

It's time for Google to introduce different rating categories for different things. Over the past few days I have discovered what the Baudelaire children experienced when they lived with Count Olaf. Some of the camp was really a series of unfortunate events. The food was overall okay, it wasn't cuisine you would eat at the Queen's Coronation, yet it wasn't someone's lunch shoved down the sewer and was pulled out a few days later. We had a BBQ of sausages and rissoles for dinner, and we spotted a green, what appeared to be mouldy rissole in the bin. We got little time to eat, at least 5 minutes at dinner. We were hustled, rushed and yelled at to hurry up and finish our food. The snow cones were good though.

Some of the staff were really unprofessional and immature, only being nice to students when the teachers were around. Barking orders like we were in the army, yelling everything and telling us to shut up. When kids went to receive snow cones, some of the staff would be throwing ice at each other and even students, which was frustrating as unwanted ice was unintentionally thrown around (especially in fresh clothes after showering, no good). Yet some of the instructors were really polite, encouraging and got along really well with the students.

I think those challenges on I'm A Celebrity are more hygienic than this camp itself. The bathrooms are an absolute joke, inhabited by every insect in the Amazon, floors are a wreck, mud on every corner of the floor, no toilet paper (clean the inside of the toilets too!). Bathroom renovations are recommended. Holes and broken off parts of the wall everywhere in the bathroom, the toilet doors are REALLY far up, you can nearly see the panties of the person in the cubicle.

Flies everywhere in the dining room, all of your food, at the salad bar, probably in the kitchen too. At breakfast, I went to collect cereal to find old food on the bowls, including hardened corn flake bits from past use. Tables are really close together, barely accessible, and you're obligated to push in your chairs in sync, or yet again, we'll be yelled at and made to do it again. We stayed in tiny tents, no ventilation or lighting. We woke up with condensation on the roof, and after being in it for about 10 seconds, it was like a heat wave in the Sahara Dessert. We slept on gym mats, and there were no ladders to get to the top (it wasn't hard to get to the top, but can be safety hazard for both smaller and larger people).

I have to commend them on the quality of the activities, which I was impressed with. The mud run is a must-do, you can slide down, swing, crawl and balance on obstacles. Not being a fan of heights, I thoroughly enjoyed the high ropes, especially the flying foxes that come with it. Archery was pretty fun, and the commando at night was definitely the best part. Canoeing was great, just very tiring, but that's what it's about. Best of luck and happy Kumbaya singing to all those who stay here in the future!

The Great Aussie Bush Camp was great. The activities were enjoyable and challenging. The food was acceptable and breakfast was the best. There were some minor health hazards and facilities are not the safest. There will always be princesses complaining about the accomodation but a real man learns to adapt in the woods. Its called The Great Aussie Bush Camp. So if you want a five star hotel. GO AWAY. There are tents and i personally believe they're good but warren the night guard is a pain. Its a camp not a jail. Loosen up dude. Alright thats it. Peace. ( drop the mic )

I had a epic time at camp. The activities were awsome. There was archery, canoeing, staple climbing, and a lot more. My instructor Amy was really nice and the food were ok. The chicken surprise was terrible, but the other meals were fine. The toilets were clean and the cabins were....well ok. There are snow cones and we had a fantastic time there! The teachers had a more nicer place to sleep and eat, but it was fantastic! It was epic!

It was really awesome. The food isn t as bad as people say. Considering the amount of people they have to serve and the amount of food they give you they did a pretty good job. The instructors were really nice and funny. The activities were awesome and they allowed us to have lots of fun. The cabins and amenities are actually good to.
