We got to go here for our honeymoon. Amazing experience all around. All of the restaurants are exceptional. We most enjoyed the French Restaurant and some of the best escargot we have every had. This is our favorite vacation resort by far and worth the investment. My wife and I look forward to returning!

I don't know what to say about Grand Velas other than wow. My husband and I spent a week here and it was one of the most relaxing vacations I've had my entire life. From the flavored water during check in to Chepe our concierge meeting us at our room, we were off to a good start. The tequila on demand in the room was good for sipping neat and mixing in drinks. The restaurants at Grand Velas were mind-blowing. My favorite was easily Frida for Mexican food, but I was a fan of Piaf (French) too. Our first night at Piaf was a little rocky, but the second time we went was stunning. The hotel sommelier has excellent taste in what is available as part of the all-inclusive wine. I had fun doing my own pairings night by night and course by course. My husband and I didn't do any excursions or even really go to the beach: we just sat by the pool and read in the sunshine. Our poolside service was spectacular. Before we finished a drink another one was waiting for us. The staff were friendly, courteous, and made a point of learning our names and drink orders. The last night we were there my husband and I also did a romantic dinner for two on the beach. It was on the pricey end (even with a Costco travel discount), but it was totally worth it. We sat on the beach and had some of the best food of the time we were there. Our personalized service was spectacular that night and we made excellent memories. Thought it may not be soon, we will definitely be back!

My husband booked the trip for my birthday. My father had died the year before and I was dreading my special day .... but once we got to the resort and experienced the kindness of the staff and the beautiful surroundings I became much happier and lighter I. Spirit. It was a fantastic vacation and we hope to return in the future

We stay for 5 night the food was good but not as good I expected for the price.. restaurants are very nice and elegant so please take pants for your dinner, they send you back to change if you go in shorts, but the great of everything is the people you deal with, very respectful and consierge is always looking for you to see if you want reservations for dinner, pool was nice and clean, just missing a place for the kids were they have some slides or something to play not just a 2 feet Swiming pool to hang out..and you need better mattress for the room, I was thinking every morning wow I miss my bed. Lol but over all Grand Velas it's a good option nice and quit to relax!

What a terrific week at Grand Velas! The dinners were memorable, the beach was it's usual self, the staff was helpful and humble, and the sunsets were gorgeous. We were originally assigned room 210, which had a view of the roof the the beachfront restaurant and was also smaller than typical. Perhaps this room typically goes for a lower price, but I was disappointed to end up there. That evening a young crowd had the room beside us and was ordering room service after 10 and keeping us awake. So the next morning we requested a different room and we moved to the 6th floor where the view was fantastic and the neighbor issue no longer.

Absolutely beautiful rooms and accommodations! Gorgeous beaches with no trash, seaweeds, or driftwood. The resort is spotless clean with not even a leaf on the walk ways. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our personal concierge, Andrea, was amazing and I will miss her very much!! I've travelled all over the world and stayed at several resorts in mexico and other places and this resort so far has been one of my favorites! Highly recommend!! Thank you for a wonderful experience at your resort!

Our visit to Gran Velas was excellent until we were packing up to go home. I had boughten a few gifts for my granddaughter to be and a couple of dresses as well. When I went to pack the gifts the morning we were to leave, the gifts were no where to be found. I approached the concierge and was told there was a process they follow and they take these things seriously. Our bus was waiting so I had to do it quite quickly. I got an email right away letting me know they would be looking into it. That was February 25 and today it is March 6 and I have not heard a word back from them!! We used the safe while we were there. I would suggest using the safe for any of your purchases and valuables or wait until your last day of vacation to make your purchases to bring home. Otherwise the resort was awesome!

Amazing all around experience, including service, food, room and resort. My wife and I spent our 25th anniversary here and it exceeded my expectations at all levels. The food was absolutely AMAZING - do not miss a dinner at each of their specialty restaurants, they were true culinary experiences. Concierge service was fantastic - they roam the resort and check in with you - never pushing anything, but checking in to make sure you're getting everything you want. Service at pool, bars and restaurant is exceptional. This is where you want to stay!

We have stayed in a lot of all inclusive resorts, and this is definitely one of the best. The attention to detail is top-notch and absolutely all the staff want to help make your stay a great one. Small details that really left a great impression: some resorts seem to be very rigid with certain rules (you can't take a bottle of wine to your room, etc.); at Grand Velas every wish was granted, no questions asked. There was never a "no, we can't do that". Thank you for that!! Small ways to improve: The food served poolside and on the beach during the day is REALLY excellent (especially the ceviche!), but we felt that quality was not consistent throughout the resort. While we understand that it represents an enormous challenge to keep such a large number of people fed, we believe there is room for improvement in some of the food (that being said, the tuna salad and the shrimp on the dinner menu in Azul were just excellent). Oh, and in the survey below, I am rating the Concierge service as "terrible" not because it was terrible, but because we didn't have a concierge during our stay, so it doesn't apply to us, and there's no "does not apply" rating. otherwise, an amazing experience.

I have stayed at this resort each year for the past several years and it just gets better. Management is always thinking of ways to improve the guest experience. Every day is a pleasure as you always feel special while a guest at the Grand Velas. The food is excellent, It is creatively prepared with quality ingredients found at only the finest restaurants. The new Lucca Restaurant design rivals any big city restaurant.

This was our 4th family ( 6 adults ) visit to the Grand Velas Nayarit. WOW! It was as wonderful as our first visit a few years ago. The atmosphere is beautiful, the restaurants ad bars are excellent and offer top of the line menus and drinks. The entire staff was genuinely friendly, courteous, and happy to ensure we had a great stay . We want to extend a special THANK YOU and appreciation to Hector, the belle hop, Erika, the maid, Ricardo, the breakfast and lunch waiter, Alberto, the aerobics instructor, Gloria, the lobby bar hostess, and Isabel, our concierge. They were all exceptional and made our stay very special. Our family has visited many resorts, but the Grand Velas is special and remains our most memorable and favorite place. We will be back!

What a wonderful place to relax and unwind. They have truly thought of everything. Just arrive and the rest is at your leisure. This hotel is actually based in Nuevo Vallarta, about 20 min from PV. While beaches in PV are typically pretty meh, this one had good waves and nice ocean water (A little sandy, so you get that "brownish" color, but still very nice). The pools were great and never over crowded. The staff was incredible. So helpful and kind. The restaurants were good but I preferred the more casual buffet, don't miss it, the food was delicious. Koi bar was fun, Karaoke night was hilariously awesome and we paid to keep it open an hour longer. The Spa. Dont miss the spa. I dont know the last time I was that relaxed. Leave extra time before and after to relax and use the facilities. All in all a great experience!
