Paid 30 bucks for a rental set. The irons were from the 1990 s and didn t include a driver. The putter was the best though. It looked like it had been drug down the cart path for about a mile or two. Had I not paid 40 bucks to uber to the course I would have asked for a refund.
This place was great will definitely be coming back on a relaxation day
A bit spartan for the rooms and the pdj. otherwise the staff is very nice. The golf looks great.
The room was dated old furnuture, nasty carpet. Hotel needs an upgrade
Very nice golf course when it is dry it's a swamp when it rains
If I could, I would have given this place no stars. Very disappointed with a room that charged $200.00 a night and for it to look like it needs major renovations. Coffee maker didn't work though not recommended using anyway. Dirty carpet, old bathroom, no microwave, fridge. I couldn't even find a pen or paper to write with. At night there were people making a lot of noise which snap people out of their sleep and this morning to hear men arguing and while getting my so call awesome continental breakfast there's cops outside who arrived because of the ruckus outside.
It's a very nice hotel, they have a breakfast, lunch and might have a dinner,. Into of that not bad reception. Could work on the Wi-Fi thoigh
Hotel is like a motel--does have a lobby so it is a hotel. Bathroom are tile and not appealing. Was given an attitude for entering through the front/lobby after hours.
Unfortunately the Grand Palms Hotel and Resort does not live up to its name. Everything about our stay there was a disappointment. It wasn't clean, it wasn't nice, and the pictures on the website are not current.I would never stay there again and would urge anyone thinking of staying there to reconsider.
Not so Grand
We chose the Grand Palm Hotel because of its location as we were traveling to Miami. It was conveniently located off the interstate and close to a local grocery store. We were traveling with family and shared a room with double beds.
The initial appearance of the exterior was well kept and inviting. The staff was also friendly. The interior of the room was dated, probably early 80's. It had a mildew smell. We checked both beds for bugs and noticed there was no mattress protection between the mattress and the sheets. On a positive note there was no signs of bugs in the bed or in the room.
The beds were both well beyond their useful life. You could hear and feel the bed springs which resulted in a restless night with little to no sleep. We were short on towels with not enough for the 4 of us available from the front desk. However it was decided by 3 of the 4 of us to not take a shower so the towel issue was resolved. I did take one and my feet stuck to the bottom of the tub. Our socks turned black from walking on the carpet.
Good hotel, but need to be updated to be modern. Need to add a microwave and small refrigerator to room. Update furniture and deep clean carpet. Cleaning staff needs training on how to clean coffee pots.
Beautifully maintained facility, great staff and the tasteful abundance of wildlife made for a Serene environment. I had the BEST lesson from Lucas Cohen and will definitely continue to see him. He's very passionate about teaching golf and truly does an incredible job at it, I was so impressed with my improvement! Highly recommend
It was amazing the shops where good and the dinner table was anything you could ask for
ROOMS ARE AMAZING WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AND FEELING!
Great place, and service is amazing. I come here often since it is near work. I have enjoy every single visit. My wife also loves the place and come here also very often. Once I'm here is difficult to leave the place.
We check into this place n left used the bathroom in a cockroach was in there, tv did not work please do not stay here anyone, staff was nice but hotel needs upgrading
First time staying here. Its was a good place to stay at.
Must of been a happening place in the 60's. Sooooo old
Great price but very outdated. Excellent customer service.
Small, African American, hotel and resort with a small homey, staff.
This is a true 3-star hotel - is above-average accommodation needs with good quality service. A step back in time with dated rooms but super-clean. We have two rooms poolside, both with clean, comfy beds, nice and quiet sleep last night, beautiful clean Olympic-size pool. Whatever was a problem for recent reviewers seems to be corrected from our vantage point. The continental breakfast was fine - dry cereal, waffles, muffins, juice and very good coffee. Wait staff is really nice. Handsome Hubby played golf and said he enjoyed it (not like he enjoyed PGA National when we stayed but we are staying here for the price of one night there for 3 nights/2rooms). Book with confidence if you want a clean room at an affordable price.
We'll first off the advertised that they had internet but you actually didn't. They had a firewall that blocked practically everything and on side of that the internet was very bad. Price comparison to service was terrible. The room floor was disgusting. Right after I showered I had to immediately put on socks or my feet would get black. The room also stunk. Other than that hot water was fine. Shower was good and bed was decent. I would never go there again however.
This was the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in. In the room 10 sec and I had to run down the room service attendant who was 2 rooms down and let her know that my top sheet and blanket were stained and that I would be needing all new linens. She came to see in disbelief before she gave us new linens. Then we closed the door and found a very big roach on his back in a pile of crumbs. Which means she did not just clean our room. All she did was change the beds (kinda). Later that night we discovered that they only gave us 2 sets of towels and there was 4 of us checked in. I sent my son to the front desk, because they wouldnt answer the phone, to ask for 2 more sets and she refused because she said we only checked in for 2. Needless to say we Never got the other sets. The water that came from the sink was YELLOW so we brushed our teeth with bottled water. The next morning when we went to shower the bathtub was filthy and rusty. No one had cleaned that tub in days if not weeks. This place should be DEMOLISHED! Two thumbs Down!
Big room, clean fresh smell to room, bed pretty good, had beautiful view of golf course, front desk staff friendly and made sure we had everything that we needed, gave good information about places to eat
Terrible hotel. The rooms all smelled like cigarettes and the room was very dirty. Even the showers were dirty and the flush didn't work very well. TV was very glithcy and old. Every thing was old and dirty. Worst part is that we got bed bug bites.
Fun golf course with very good looking turf all around. Had a great day.
It was in need of a remodeling. The Bathroom and mattresses need the biggest upgrade. But overall everything needed help. Plus the front desk had a few issues. I would recommend going to another place to stay. The golf courses and country club on the other hand looked really nice, which is the only reason I give them 2 stars.
The hotel could use a much-needed restoration. Continental breakfast was a joke. They offered a hot meal but you have to pay for it. I guess if you like golf you had to deal with the rooms.
Updates could restore the facilities to expected grace. Towels were seemingly in short supply. Hangers also. However the location is convenient for such a prominent destination for snowbirds.
Breakfast was less than expected with only one choice of fruit per day.
I hope the facility is upgraded to previous granduer.
Quiet place to enjoy with the family: swimming pool, golf, country club, fresh air, domestic animals and peace
Great course, fun to play, challenging water hazards and doglegs, but not overly so. The rough really grabs your club, and is harder to hit out of than most courses. Fairways and tee boxes were in good condition, nice carts with large LCD screens, GPS w/ a map of the hole you're on.
Loses a point because the greens were sandy and perforated, making them tricky to judge speed & breaks. People behind the counter in the pro-shop were nice, but when I asked for a sandwich/bratwurst at the turn, the ancient bartender (with the big-Texas blonde hairstyle) gave me attitude, as if she had never heard of anyone requesting a snack at the turn.
I'll definitely play there again, but I'll be skipping the restaurant.
Resort is expanisve. Surrounding homes around the golf resort are beautiful. Quiet and great place to visit or own.
Did the job, staff was accommodating, but beds were horrible, a/c barely worked, toilet barely flushed, no elevator, and just very dated.
Could use a few more staff. A bit dated. Good basic accomadation.
Room was very outdated, furniture obviously not very clean covered in cob webs, bugs, dust and syrup all over head boards. Would advise Clorox wipes! Toilet still had urine under lid from previous guest and shower well lets says I was sliding the whole time. The beds were springy, hard and short and the carpet still had the last guest toe nail clippings on the floor. Location of this so called resort is good as plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. I wont be back!!!
Above average course in broward county, you really can t do much better here!
Beautiful views nice golf course lovely hotel room and great services
Golf course was well kept and courteous staff. 3 eets of 9 holes makes it unique and a can add a good change to playing 18
Yes, the rooms need updating, but they are clean and did have everything we needed. The hotel staff was beyond amazing. We went to the lounge one night, the live music was good, the lounge staff were very friendly and knew how to make a drink. The hotel was within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Was a very good stay, hopefully the rooms will be updated soon.
I like the place but after leaving I realized that I left my Bluetooth speaker in my room. I contacted the hotel ... Never reached back to me. And I know that the Bluetooth speaker was left here
went golfing here. Nice quality course at a very cheap price. Good tee boxes. Greens were nice. Fair amount of water. Way better than Shulas or Miami Lakes. Book online for discount pricing.
Worst costumer service in the golf game. Unprofessional staff and horrible management. The guy in the golf shop Kevin is a complete hack and extremely unprofessional! The course is a 6 of 10 but the staff and customer service is a -5!!
Reasonable golf course rates, friendly staff and course is in good condition!
Front desk helpful and kind but the rooms not great
Took a golf class and Sean was wonderful. Very patient. I highly recommend!
We live in the area and have golfed here several times. There are 3 9 hole courses and usually you can pick the 2 courses you want too play. Lots of water and there are some challenging holes and some simple straight froward holes, which gives a good mix. The prices are reasonable and they have a senior card you can buy as well as family packages if you live in the area or visit quite a bit.
The hotel is old and dated it needs a major upgrade or to be knocked down and rebuilt.
Course conditions could be better but for $55 a round there's definetly better options out there.....
Have everything you want in a resort. Room is kind of outdated.
I've been a frequent business traveler for over 30 years and this by far is been the worst experience
Pictures barely match actual facility. Dirty, outdated rooms, understaffed, poor service, scetchy TVs, minimal shower water pressure. Billing compleatly screwed-up.
They put the "hostile" in hospitality RUN DONT WALK away from this from this place
Can't believe I've never heard of this golf course before but I found it on GolfNow. What a great track. Not easy golf, you need a lot of good shots and there's plenty of placement golf to set up your second shot. Fantastic scenery on every hole, great wildlife, and an overall beautiful course. Look forward to returning.
For $129 per night you have to be kidding me. I stayed here for business travel and as others have mentioned the rooms are dated, beds are old, there are torn carpets, WiFi is slow, and bugs in the room. I'm sure the golf course is nice but not a good place to get a good night's rest in.
I gave the place two stars because the waitress during brekbreak was pleasant and the grounds are well maintained.
Nice course. A couple of the greens had divots but other than that s fun place to play. Reasonable price.
Nice place, ckean, quiet, enogh to sleep after being on the parks.
Very pricey..... a little disappointed in the food. some really bland.
Not a place to stay; old stinky sock/shoe smell when u walk in, old TV with poor reception, old beds, hard crumply shower curtain, sheets look like they were used. This place looks like a 59 year old hotel not taken care of. I would spend about $10/night if I would ever stay here again. Big Parties with inibriated guests on week ends.
I made a reservation yesterday and today I'm in Pembroke Pines from Orlando and they are saying I never made one when I spoke to them twice yesterday and did it over the phone. The lady Gail was very rude! She hung up on me and everything! ! I'm here with my baby and husband with no place to stay. I have proof that all this happened and they didn't even try to fix things or give me another option.
Horrible customer service, front desk receptionist was very rude.
