Grand Mirage, omg! That's the best hotel trust me. Ocean side view room, pool, hotel's private beach, whole day activities going on and so much fun. If you enter this hotel don't go anywhere else. This hotel is a complete package of enjoyment.
Holiday at the Grand Mirage is a mess ... the order of rooms at Garuda Travel Fair Surabaya is not on order ... very, very unpleasant and doesn't expect to return here again ... replacement rooms are old buildings ... even though the rooms are suitably
My mum and dad went to this GrandMirage hotel for a couple of weeks to celebrate their birthdays. Lovely friendly service, clean and welcoming.
The staff have also been amazing especially Dina! They call my dad Mr Rudy(as an abbreviation from his name) but this lady went above and beyond to make his birthday special. Everything from her nice warm smile down to her impeccable manners - cannot thank her enough!
Fantastic hotel. One of the best places I stayed at. Staff in the hotel is amazing and extremely helpful and friendly. The choices of food are fab. Few restaurants are really high quality, it's guaranteed that you won't get bored of food there. I had a fab time and would definitely love to go back.

There is no sea view here, the traffic is convenient, there are many shops outside to visit, the service staff is warm and welcoming, will come again next time~~
We are staying here now..... Had no clue construction was so extensive but it doesn't bother us as much as the Loud non stop music from early in the morning until late at night. We asked for a quiet room and are right above pool and main restaurants so it is driving me crazy. It would be nice to hear the ocean instead. Rooms tired, bathrooms smallish but service good. Still have 5 more days of this and I have really sensitive hearing.... L
After much research I booked the Grand Mirage Nusa Dua for the second week of Jan 2019. This Resort is located in Tanjung Benoa area as has its own private beach. The location is fantastic, a bit away from the actual gated Nusa Dua resorts. There are many restaurants and affordable spas right outside the resort. Our check-in process was special due to the Ocean View room booked. The room was very big and had two balconies with great ocean views. The room was well equipped and the overall hospitality from the staff was good. The buffet breakfast is fantastic and the food is tasty. There is a nurse in the resort which is good. The waterfall in the lobby is airy and beautiful. The kids club is really good and has hourly activities. Lots of water sports activities right at the beach if you are interested in doing that. The hotel also has daily shows at night. It looked fun from the balcony (we didn't attend any).
Still, I have rated three stars to this resort due to many reasons. I hope the management take the feedback constructively -
1) There is massive construction going on right in front of all the beach view rooms. It doesn t affect the views but does feel weird. There is noise throughout the morning and it does kind of look strange. A chat with some of the resort staff shed some lights on the construction time frame - It will finish around May/June 2019. Keep this in mind before booking.
2) The resort has two building - One main and the other where all the special rooms with the kids facilities are. With the construction going on the access within the resort for both the building were closed. Meaning, We had to walk all the back to the other building which took an easy 5 to 10 mins in intense heat via the back beach side or via the main road. After asking the reception we were given a transport shuttle to and fro as we had a 5 year old boy and it was just way too much to walk! Interesting the resort staff never advertised this shuttle option.
3) The bath products (soap, shampoo, conditioner etc) are in a tuff plastic bottle that you can't squeeze! It takes ages to tap to get the product out! This must definitely be looked into.
4) The air con in the Ocean view suite was not very effective. The air con controller was like very old school technology.
5) The fridge in the room was like 50 years old and didn't chill the water bottles or anything at all. This must be upgraded.
6) The overall ambience in the hotel is average, especially the tiles and the design of the floors (in our example - Level 4). The tiles outside the lift in the passage area looked like bathroom tiles. I must say the lobby area on level 2 is nice.
7) The kids club is good but the rule of having breaks (12pm - 1pm and 5pm - 6pm) means you have to collect you kids between those times. Though we didn't use this facility I felt this rule beats the purpose of having a 'whole day kids club' as you have to still come back twice to pick up the kid. Shout out to the ladies who run the club - really humble and good people.
8) The Ocean view room doesn't have multiple socket to charge your gadgets. I could only find one next to the fridge area. Luckily I had my own multiple usb wall socket. So remember to get yours if you plan to stay here.
9) TV in the room was old plasma with bad reception (grainy).
10) The kids pool with the water slide and fountain closes at 5pm! Why???!! Kids love it and I don't understand the reason to shut it down at 5pm. At least keep it open till 7pm during summer days!
Overall the stay was alright but I want to give a shout out to all then staff as I know they all work hard and keep guests happy.
11) As mentioned above, the suite gets a special check-in but at no point we were given any information about a 'nurse' being present at the resort. Such a critical point missed! We only got to know when we asked at the reception.
In short, the Grand Mirage Resort is grand (in size) but needs modernisation/upgrade and improved overall customer service.
Everything good you expect from a five star hotel. But why 3 stars, read on our experience.. !!
We booked Grand Mirage for a day to conclude our adventure trip in Bali. We thought we need the easiest check-in and best of the rooms to relax after our Mt Batur hiking trip in the morning. It didnt turn out to be as easy as we thought.
On our arrival, we were asked to checkout our upgraded room in the adjacent hotel owned by Grand Mirage because we had a kid. When we told them we booked premium ocean view room and as long as new "upgraded" room has ocean view, we are happy. To which they replied by saying, its a partial ocean view room and asked us to check it out once. We agreed to check it out.
Needless to say, there was no view from the room. All I could see was balcony of the room opposite to us.
We refused, and then they offered us the deluxe room with ocean view which has now been renamed to "premium ocean view" room. Its on the ground floor. We later learned that they suddenly got very busy and that's why they are running short of the rooms. They asked us to include the floor number in our next booking if we wanted a higher floor.
We were offered complimentary lunch coupons which we accepted as there was no other room available.
Just to mention that while the breakfast is star of meals in Grand Mirage, lunch is below average. There wasn't much variety of vegetarian dishes. Only good thing was live counter for pasta that saved the day for us.
Unfortunately, renovations are underway, creating hours (early morning until 9pm) of excessive noise and dust. This should be stated on the website, but isn't. Ten days all inclusive, partly wrecked by this oversight.
Great resort. Excellent location in quite neighborhood but in the centre of action if you are looking for water sports. Private beach, a swimming pool and every comfort one could want. Evenings are a gala affair with performances from artists, a mini artisan crafts market right in the resort, three different restaurants serving food and drinks right on the tables laid out on beach ... It's lively and serene at the same time...
Staff lacks in initiative and of course they are hapless in communicating specially in english. You can overhear noises from the neighbouring rooms, that speaks a lot about privacy. The comod (W C) has surprisingly higher water levels and when we showed it to the staff, they claimed it to be normal which to me seemed to be very unheiginic. The property is grand but the heart of hosts seemingly is quite small or may be they are overworked. Somehow I felt as if I am in a PG with a great location and facilities. Which is a likely case in a luxurious old age home.
I have no problem with the accommodation or facilities of the Grand Mirage, for the price it is fine although there are much better options. The issue i had is with the 'ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE"' which is essentially an extra USD$115 which on the face of it appears to be good value. Certainly their web site makes some cloudy statements as to the wonderful benefits that allege to be offering under this package.
NOTE : You will be drinking LOCAL SPIRTS AND BEERS ONLY in your 'all inclusive package and if your anything like my wife, she was throwing up all night and half the next day after having had just 2 cocktails, off course created with their local spirits. Im very thankful she only had 2. The Rum, Burbon, Cask Wine etc is all 'local' versions of the real thing as is the beer, tastes revolting. Bintang is apparently described as a "premium' beer in this ridiculous sham of an excuse for an all inclusive package. I would think no other place on earth would describe Bintang as a "premium beer', certainly no other hotel, restaurant anywhere throughout Indonesia that i have travelled and i have been to many remote places over the years. These 'premium' drinks are standard everywhere else in the world but are made available to you after 9pm to ensure costs are kept to a minimum .
Its not expensive to eat or drink there however the food is consistently terrible and i would suggest you eat across the road, very cheap and good food in numerous places.
Its a very average shelly beach for swimming and you have to pay for one of the few day bed type things, they also are not included off course. If you want a drink and wanted to watch the last of the sun go down (its on the other side for the record so not an option), you will be told your local drinks now have to be consumed in the bar and not on you deck chair 20m away on the beach. 3 nights qualifies you for 1 jet ski ride only not unlimited motorised sports and the water thing is actually 60-70 min away. Check out what they offer in their watercraft section also as no one went there for 2 days when i was there
If your a family and don't drink, this is the place for you as the kids have places to play but if you are a couple or group of friends, trust me, there are WAY better places to stay that are similar price but so superior I can't describe it. If you think i am wrong about this place, you simply have not seen other options or travelled much in Bali or Indonesia. Try the Intercontinental as a Club Member, it is genuine quality in everything.
We couldn't tolerate and didn't want to risk the local alcohol and was so disappointed we left after 2 nights and went into Legian. It cost me about $340 as they offered nothing but time wasting and the demand to take 1 days cancellation fee. They couldn't even drop me back off in Legian, only at the airport. I offered to pay 100 000 rupia which was agreed to but typically of this place no one knew anything about it in the morning or was able to make an actual decision. The staff are friendly but I certainly would not describe them as helpful or on a par with most other places in Bali. We just again paid for a taxi as we couldn't get out of the place quick enough we were so disappointed, no one can decide anything and it was a losing battle to ask for anything from these people we felt as they simply were not authorised to make decisions, and no one of higher authority would appear to help them out.
If despite the above absolutely factual information you still choose to waste good money at this place, let it be known I warned you when you get ill from the local spirits, assuming you can handle how horrible they all taste.
We attend ICT reseller channel Summit 2017 at this hotel. 5 star for hospitality, polite and nice staff. Though some part of hotel look dated but room still nice. Dinner and cocktail party here recommended. Sunrise at the beach wonderful
Amazing hotel with the friendliest staff. Extremely good restaurants and the all inclusive is definitely worth it. They also have amazing views over the ocean. The only small "negative" was that there weren't enough pool chairs at the adult pool, but the rest was PERFECT!
Amazing property with loads to do at its own doorstep! Multiple pools for kids and adults alike. 3 restaurants in the property, a 24 hour room service with some very yummy food. Water sports at its own beach. Luxuriously well done
Update ... To 5 stars the hotel says it that was a mistake and should not have happened and they are going to give her a refund. I'm leaving the post up though in case anybody else experiences this type of situation in any other hotel in BALI . We cannot afford to lose tourism because of single individuals. .............. This just posted to facebook.. He deserves a full refund IMMEDIATELY!!
IThank you admin for let me join to this group.

I booked this hostel for my family and they really enjoyed it, Grand Mirage is very clean from the Entrance to the Beach and the service is just amazing, everything seems to fit very well to this place. The breakfast is almost full of different kind of dishes and the hostel offer many possibilities of different activities ! The only sad point is that the drinks in the hostels are too expensive, the price is the same in High and Low season so as an advice for everybody just go outdoor and find a coco Mart to buy some cheap beer to enjoy it in front of the beach ;)
On the last day, we spent time until checkout or night flight at this hotel. The sea is close, the pool has a variety of depths and bars, and it was very large The spa after the Aquamedic pool also had a great oil penetration. There were many restaurants and I wanted to stay here.
What an awesome place. The Desk manager and even the res manager Ayu what great hospitality. This place is filled with wonderful, kind and caring people. SUPERB !!!
