Out dated in some parts of the hotel... some of the staff is unprofessional

Enjoyed dinner. Bit pricey, but the food delivered.

Stayed here last night in a regular room. The Bellman was very helpful, and they had people to open the doors. Stayed in a regular room on the 10th floor which has a beautiful view of the bay. The bathroom was nice and clean and had a nice look. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were too. I don't know why it has a few bad reviews. I found my stay very satisfactory (besides the fact that there was some construction noise rye next morning. They are doing an ALL rooms renovation that Just stared this March and is sure to be done in November 2012) I could go on with great things to say, but if you're looking for a place to start this place is very nice. :)

One of my favorite hotel views ever. If you stay here you have to get a beach view or you will kick yourself. So worth it!

This resort will be my choice for lodging in Tampa. I loved it.

Relaxing experience, great restaurants and great service. Clean rooms and great views. Wish pool and hot tub were bigger. Instead of ice cream shop a day spa would be nicer.

The Bayview suite view was breathtaking but everything else was below the standard of a Hyatt Resort. The hotel is in need of a good exterior cleaning and better attention to detail in the suite and around the main pool. There were numerous pavers that were sunken and mold/mildew on building and pool area. Customer service struggled. Would not stay again!

If I could review it as a negative star, I would. The absolute worst experience from all levels, an absolute nightmare. Spend your hard earned dollars somewhere else. No care or concern for the consumer, poor staff, and the housekeeping staff will walk right into your room while you're sleeping. Save yourself the time and trouble and book anywhere else.

Beautiful, clean hotel. They are very COVID conscious you ll see with signage, sanitized rooms and sanitizer stations. Social distancing signage and open elevators to limit amount of surfaces you touch. Staff very courteous in general. Encounters with Josh at front desk, David helped with bags and Linda was server at breakfast.
Rooms very nice. Views of bay were awe-inspiring at sunset but not from every room of course. Great walking path. Pool and pool deck area was relaxing.
Ate breakfast only in onsite restaurant, it was pricey but delicious and good service. Parking was free despite what s posted in the garage.

Beautiful room! We had an amazing view of the bay. It was my first time visiting Tampa and I know if we come.back we want to stay here again. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved the pool with the outdoor bar.

Had a great time drank 5 bottles of champagne late night room delivery awesome staff

No hot water! Let it run for at least 10 minutes with no help. Cold showers suck...

Awesome hotel stayed there for two nights when I flew to Tampa for an event. Everything is pretty close including the air port. They have a Starbucks downstairs and the lounge area is kept very clean. Def recommend staying there.

Eveyone is friendly. Love my room and the pools are very nice.

Awesome hotel! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, rooms were very clean and spacious and have a beautiful view of the bay, the nature preserve is gorgeous and has so much beautiful wildlife! Oystercatchers was a very nice restaraunt and I enjoyed the room service food as well! I really enjoyed the pool as well! The little ice cream shop was nice too! Will definitely be returning someday!

Nice hotel, great location, although a room renovation seems needed soon.

I enjoyed not having to leave to eat as there are several restaurants on the grounds. There is also a nature walk that was enjoyable. The only downside is that the airport is next to the hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel right on the bay. The views from the boardwalk is awe inspiring.

I stayed her for a weekend and the service was awful. There was one time where I had to call the housekeeper to clean my room and it took her 3 hours to get there. When she got there she was on the phone arguing with someone while I was trying to work on my laptop inside the room. To make matters worse, a few days later after I got back home from the hotel I realized that I left my shoes and electric toothbrush behind. I filed a lost and stolen claim, followed up, and they did not find anything. Clearly the housekeeper had stolen my items. I urge everyone to stay away!

This hotel deserves 6 stars! Can't wait to go back in June.

Soo disappointed in this hotel!! I will never stay here when I visit Tampa especially for what they are charging!! When I booked the room online , I was so excited to check out the amenities and restaurants but of course with covid everything was close early even the gift shop for water and vending machine was broken for water so no water if you are thirsty at night , no room service . When i was booking this room all i saw was water views and of course its on the water , I want a water view , but opening up curtains and seeing no water view was so disappointing and even called down stairs to see if they could move us to a water view but they said non were available, I felt scam if i wanted a parking lot view / city I would have stayed at a cheaper hotel downtown. Throughout my night i already hate the room , but the main thing that push me to write this was the fire alarm battery going off middle of night ! The whole point of booking a room is to have a peaceful sleep atleast! The fire alarm went off not once but three times , i was tempted to call front desk but at 3am I just want sleep and I would have felt uncomfortable by maintenance entering the room while im in my night clothes. While checking out i told the guy i had a terrible experience, told him about the fire alarm, even the checking out process was difficult and took more time than checking in , i had reservations at a restaurant so i had to leave and trusting the front desk guy to take care of things. Today i receive my statement from hotel and got charge full amount and no apologize email , nothing at all! If anyone is thinking about booking this hotel don t !!

Only been there for meetings, but the staff is great and for meetings the lunch they provided was one of the better ones.

My husband and I just completed a quick visit to Tampa. We spent 2 nights at the Grand Hyatt. Check in was quick and our bay view room was spectacular. Housekeeping and all the other staff was very attentive and friendly.

The breakfast looks great but doesn't measure up in the taste category. The hosts seem nice. Heated pool, not a very big one but that's understandable considering proximity to the ocean.

The Hyatt is an excellent place to hold a seminar or training. He has plenty of rooms and lots of places to sit and relax in between sessions

I had a great stay, absolutely beautiful and clean. I loved the boardwalk and layout of the rooms. The view from the top is breathtaking! The only downside is that it can be pretty loud if you're room is near the elevator. You can't hear any of the planes but you can hear people in the hallway pretty clearly.

The room was clean and service was great. I would definitely stay again. TIP: If you need the airport shuttle, dont wait for them to come, just call the front desk.

Outstanding hotel minus the smallish pool and the isolated location. BIG PLUS is that it is located 5 minutes from the airport.

My overall experience at the Grand Hyatt in Tampa Bay was honestly very disappointing. Security threatened to escort my family and friend out of the building because of a noise complaint that DID NOT come from our room without even investigating the claim first.All of this came after I PAID to upgrade my room to an executive suite. Additionally, smoke detectors went off around 11pm in the room and no one came to check on us and make sure things were safe and intact. Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days and no cleaning service came to our room to make beds, remove trash, stock up towels, glassware etc. The last and final night we were there i lost my credit card and I informed the front desk immediately. I had to put a lock on my card that was on file and I informed them that i would have another card for them to charge any extra fees we had pending on the room the following day, as I was working with my bank already. While speaking to the manger on duty that night (7/20/2019 @ 10:30) she DEMANDED another card immediately, due to the "Hyatt's" Policies, and was very disrespectful throughout the entire exchange.

The main reason we chose the Grand Hyatt was because of prior experiences with the brand. Not to mention the company name has a standard of care that we assumed we would be receiving. My family and i drove 30 minutes (one-way) each day to our destination just because we wanted to stay at , what we thought, would be an amazing hotel with amazing personnel and amenities. Instead we were met with nothing but issues and hostility and i am beyond upset with the entire situation. I was also told that i would be receiving a call from a manager onsite to discuss this whole travesty, however my calls were met with no voicemail and when i left my information with the front desk i received NO return call. Therefore, i am leaving my complaint here in hopes that SOMETHING will be done.

Hotel was amazing! Very helpful staff and very clean and comfortable. Great outside environment, too! Beautiful pools and walking areas.

Good service, clean rooms, more noise from hallways than I prefer, woke me up a few times.

Never again, love the Hyatt but not in Tampa. Stay at the marriot. This was the worst customer service I've ever dealt with, hotel manager very rude and arrogant and room was like a motel, and we were in a suite. Wallpaper had scotch tape holding it together and tv was not working. No help was offered at all for the bad service.

We went for Brunch. It was Spectacular! Beautiful views and 5 star service.

I work next door and I have stayed there once. The bathrooms are nice but the rooms are a little small and often times the walking areas or pools are closed for "private events." The majority of the employees are nice and recognize me. But the management is beyond rude. Twice I have been scolded for walking the grounds even though I work on the grounds! Apparently I'm disrupting paying customers and they complain about a small lady walking around with her cellphone. They followed me to my car and then to the office where I work on the same grounds and just waited next to me until I sat down waiting the ten minutes or so before I needed to go into the office. When I was hired I was told I had full run of the grounds as long as I didn't disturb customers. I have only talked to customers that have asked me questions. I don't even look in their general direction because I am busy doing my own thing. So I will be talking to building management regarding this issue, AGAIN.

It's kind of a weird tricky entry and exit way into the hotel but once you're there the facility is nice. Gorgeous view of Tampa Bay one side and what little of a skyline that the city of Tampa offers on the other. The decor is a little early 2000's ish but it's fine.

We had to go here on short term notice and they we felt the price was reasonable. The building is very clean, Front desk staff very professional and accommodating. My wife and I are both Hyatt gold members and out of all the other Hyatts this now is our favorite. Can't wait to go back!!

Room was perfect and the service was friendly. I ordered the Cuban pizza from room service and I was blown away!!

Beautiful grounds, extremely efficient and friendly staff from the shuttle drivers upon pickup to the restaurants, bartenders, pool attendants, and management. Delicious restaurants, wonderful piano players super clean. We cannot say enough. No bad apples in the entire establishment.

Had cocktails in the bar for my brother in laws birthday. Service was great and bartender made amazing drinks!!

Value: If you can get this hotel on a promotion, it's a good value. Otherwise, spending top dollar might be depreciated by some of the following aspects.

Room: (Standard King, non-smoking) The bathroom was clean and modern with a very nice large shower. The door to the bathroom was HUGE and requires a bit of creative problem solving to be able to close it once you're inside. The entry to the room was inviting and it was nice to have a single serving coffee/tea brewer as well as a fridge! The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. Unfortunately, the room was not impervious to hallway noise or conversations (I did not hear any neighboring room noise though). I could literally hear every word of the conversation a guest was having with housekeeping. Several times I heard a door open or close and I had to peek around the corner to see if it was mine! The doors do have an additional lock and stopper for security (I DID feel safe), and I didn't notice during the night (probably because people weren't moving about the hallways.) I had a view of the water, which I was looking forward to watching the sunrise or the early morning atmosphere, but my window was filthy! Definitely in need of a wash for people to enjoy the view.

Staff: A++ They were amazing. Laura at the front desk was incredible at check-in, she made me feel so welcome and was extremely personable. The room service staff were very kind and respectful. Everyone was kind and helpful :)

Food: WOW! I ordered the Cuban Pizza (it's like the pizza version of a Cuban sandwich), it was amazing! The flavors were fantastic and the crust was pure perfection!

Summary: If you can find this at a promotion rate, it is an excellent place to stay! Otherwise, you'll probably get a better value for your money elsewhere. Great staff! Excellent food! I can't give it 5 stars because of the hallway noise and the dirty windows obstructing the view.

I came here for the annual FAV event. The hotel and its halls are pretty nice.

I would like to start out I would rate the hotel and its features a 4.5/5 but currently that is not an option on google reviews. The grounds are amazing, very well kept(hence the preserve that it is on). The hotel is very close to a five More

Had a few drinks and lunch at the bar with family who was staying at the hotel. Really great staff who took good care of us. We had a big group and the server told us that the gratuity was included already which I thought was cool since many times they dont.

Quick Weekend getaway. Good location. Tropical oasis feel. Service great. Beds are the best. Clean room.

It was good but there are a few things that need to be worked on! Sheets were clean but comforter was dirty. The pool by the casitas is located beautifully near the Bay however BEWARE @ DUSK & DAWN for evil sand fleas. You would think that the hotel would invest in some sort of pest deterrent. The oyster catcher is a bit expensive but totally worth every dollar. The food is amazing however sit inside #sandfleas.

Great hotel with top facilities. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. If possible get a bay view room and ask for high floor so you can enjoy the view/sunset.

Not good for kids! Beds are comfy and spacious but there are stains all over the floor and furniture. Several outlets dont work and when I asked for my room to be cleaned I was ignored due to housekeeping not speaking english! There are no options for kids to eat and it's too far away from everything to walk. No shuttles are available either. I won't be paying $16 for 2 eggs just to be hungry in an hour.
