Absolutely lovely evening I very much enjoyed myself, the environment, and the staff

Then place needs to be spruced up quite a bit. For being a very well respected hotel chain, this Hyatt needs to be updated. Smelled like mold, and had a feeling of old all around. Almost booked a room to stay here, but if the smell was any indication of the rooms, I would not have enjoyed it.

Location, check in service, and other services were good. However, i couldn't believe how bad the room experience was. I paid about 400 including taxes on friday night. the room i stayed in had clear water damage with paints fading on the ceiling, carpets were not cleaned in the area where i suppose the water damage happened, and skirting panel was all dirty. If i could put a photo up i would post here as a proof. Room i stayed was 3104.

Location is good, area is noisy with construction and the room isn't soundproofed very well

I wish I could give them zero star if have that option. Don t care about guests packages and don t deliver to guests on time and when tried to connect front desk just transferred call to one person to another. Such a bad service never expected from well known people.

Nice hotel with good service but walls are paper thin and hotel staff do not enforce "quiet hours" so we struggled to get a decent night's sleep.

The hotel is very dated! Rooms are average and just look clean as it s so run down. We had a water bottle between our bedside and wall of our room that was there before we arrived, grout in the bathroom dirty, water damaged vanity and it goes on.
Staff at the front reception were not helpful at all and when we questioned the hold amount on our cc the gentlemen couldn t answer why that amount and then gave us massive attitude - so it was too hard and we left.
Great location, however extremely disappointed as it is nothing like any other grand Hyatt in other countries we have stayed in. Not again!

Rooms are okay. Really you're paying for the location ... (Right next to Grand Central). Their services suck though - I just wanted extra blankets at night and noone answered the phone when I called for 15 min straight

We asked for a rollout bed and after 12 hours we did not have it when we returned.

I stayed in the grand hyatt with my mom for 3 nights the staff is very friendly but our room we stayed in was dusty and smelled a little bit . There is a market down in the lobby of the hotel all of there stuff is good except there sandwiches and Panini s my mom and I got sick from there sandwiches and paninis and I would suggest not getting there sandwich s or paninis there

The place is very clean, the staff is great. Our room is on floor 30 the row of elevators ( lots of them) you can get in any of them. But 5 on the right skip the 1st 17ish floors. It helps when you need to get to the top. Also when you check in you get a bar/ market credit it comes off your room charge. We got Waters in the market and Neve did make it to the bar. Over all it was a nice place to stay would come back here.

Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The main ballroom is lovely, smaller conference rooms are the usual fare.

Attended an award ceremony at the Grand Hyatt and it was a wonderful time! Delicious food and kind, attentive staff.

Originally placed in a room with a broken shower (the shower head was dangling in the shower). This made me question how thoroughly the rooms got cleaned. Called down to the front desk with no answer 5 times, attempted to dial on my cell 3 times, no answer. Go to the front desk to be moved to the 31st floor. The room was fine and comfortable. We were far enough from the street level to barely hear sirens and such. The room got the job done for our 2 night weekend trip.

In the heart of Midtown Manhattan - I've stayed at this large and well service hotel several times and I can always count on them. Great northern Midtown location too.

Really good free lounge with endless amounts of good food and drinks. Room and service was great.

Good. Near by grand central terminal and easy to reach Bryant park, time square. Room condition was good but I feel like they need to a little bit repair. Chair s leather skin and edge of the desk.. and I don t think the air conditioner is working well. Because that make the room like so cold or high humility. (I wanted moderate) Anyway another things was good. Especially the market which is at 1st floor so useful! They have fresh fruit and beer, wine, salad, yogurt, snacks, deli!!

Beautiful hotel with clean and well-appointed rooms. Staff was absolutely exceptional. All staff greeted me with smiles and hellos and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. Highly recommended!

Room was clean and had all expected amenities and staff was professional and helpful.

This location is convenient to Bryant Park, Grand Central, Times Square and most subway lines. Gorgeous ballroom with excellent food service and decor. I would suggest for professional events or a quick stop over in NYC.

Great hotel. Great location. Sometimes the water took a long time get hot.

I had a great stay, the staff was super accommodating and it is literally attached to Grand Central which completely removed any travel stress.

Very dated. One of the worst Grand Hyatts in the world. Not worthy of the name.

Very nice, clean, impressive lobby, great service. On Saturday morning we were able to go with a group up to the roof to take pictures.

Room was very clean and nice, but had no tea or coffee facilities in the room.

Room size, was great.
Bed and sheets were awful.
My husband had a terrible nights sleep saying the sheets and pillow cases felt like diapers. Alot of money for a weekday stay.

Only plus is grand central terminal is right there

Mattress was uncomfortable and sunken in the middle. Pillows were atrocious. Bedside tables were dusty. No coffee maker in the room. We got a room near the corner of 42nd & Lex and the horns and sirens were as loud as if we didn't have a window. Sounds from down the hallway are also loud, must have skimped on the sound proofing.. One positive about this place is the location.

Very nice foyer and guest rooms. It's kept very clean and the service at the check in was excellent. We had no problems here.

Good location. Rooms are a great size with a nice size bathroom. Bathroom has a tub which was a pleasant surprise. Only complaint is the mini fridge is awkward. As soon as you put something in it tilts. Some of the furniture is obviously aged, as scratches and chipped paint. But it's overall clean.

Great location and staff! Put coffeemakers in your room! $36 for 4 cups of coffee from Room Service - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Good size room. Big hotel and good location but somehow feels a little touristy. I have also been to some very professional conferences there as well.

Excellent hotel in the heart of the big apple. It is obviously a building with X floors and therefore the wait for the elevators is sometimes long but the rooms, the comfort and the service are at the top. By cons, this kind of standard has its price but is not excessive either. To advise any visitor!

Went to have dessert and coffee with some friends staying there for the weekend. It was 10pm on Saturday and we couldn't find anyone to seat us. We encountered a couple of the staff telling us we couldn't sit at a couple of tables but no one willing to tell us where we could sit. Super unorganized, and terrible service. Eventually we started with 3 coffees and were going to order dessert but when the waiter finally came back he just tossed a check on the table and walked away. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE

Just went to pick up a friend staying there. Looks like any other Hyatt out there

A really great room and club lounge but I found the location to be imperfect.

There are a few times when I have stopped at the Grand Hyatt in need of a bathroom. Staff was always courteous and helpful.

Everyone s reviews lead me to think that this hotel would be very nice. The lobby area was very well decorated, however when we got to our room several items were broken or damaged. It just seems like the care taking of rooms needs to be seen to more.

The location of the hotel is just perfect! A stone's throw from the central station and the metro so as not to waste time and reach all points of interest quickly!
As for the room it was really very nice and quiet, we were not disturbed by the ambient noise! We really recommend!
There is even a small convenience store in the lobby and you can leave your luggage at the concierge.

Perfect location if you want to be in the heart beat of Manhattan.

At check in, our room was not ready. We had to wait in long front desk line again because concierge could not assist. Very annoying waste of 1st hour in hotel. Room was smaller than original dirty room but didn't want to lose additional time. The event was great. The band was amazing. The room was packed little too tight for 1000+ attendees but was adequate. Food was mediocre. Wait staff was overwhelmed. Party was great though. Was so convenient being a hotel guest where event took place . Was

Had a junior suite, and it was fantastic. The staff was amazing. Highly recommend.

Not happy with their lack of customer service. I flew in and arrived at 1:30pm. They told me my room still wasn't ready even though check in was 11am.... then they ask me to upgrade my room for $25. I say fine and agree to the $25 since I'm exhausted and pregnsnt. So of course they put me on the side of the hotel with a window above road construction which happens all night!!!!!!!!! Seriously the worst hotel I've ever stay at especially considering it was over $500 for a 1 night stay.

We asked 3 days in a row to get our rooms cleaned and Noone came when they said they were going to. Matter of fact after we called for the 3rd time within 3 hours they finally came after my 6 month old was needing to be fed. Will not return ever again.

the convenience of this Hotel from the train station is awesome. We liked our room but was disappointed that our on-line check in did not make a difference - we had to wait. Our room had a flickering light problem in the closet and the bellhop was suppose to report to the front desk (we were there 3 days) nothing was corrected. Room size was fine for us. There was a special offer through email for $10 to upgrade room - I had tried to do it again after I read it and said it was no longer available. Called and they said they could not do anything to rectify this - too bad that would have been a great way to make up for the wait to get into the room.

I have stayed at the Grand Hyatt NY maybe half a dozen times; this is an excellent hotel. As a tourist, it's hard to do much better than staying right next to Grand Central- you are in walking distance of many of NYC's best attractions and dining, and the subway is right there for when the walk is too far. The hotel itself is extremely clean with an excellent gym and other desirable amenities. The staff is very friendly and professional- this really is one of the best places to stay in NYC at its price-point.

Regular non nyc sized hotel rooms. Lounge is beautiful and spacious. Customer service is fantastic.

Check in and check out was smooth. It's recommend to become a World of Hyatt member so as to get checked in faster. As whole the hotel is lovely, rooms could use some updating. We had a great city view on the 22nd floor. Otherwise a pleasant experience. Bathroom doesn't really have space for a lady to her makeup. Our shower had a slow drain, plumber was sent in a matter of 15 mins and problem was resolved.

Hotel is nice and has meny services which I didn't take advantage off. Also it is in a great location right next to Grand Central.

We were in the restaurant 2 years ago not last year for Easter brunch. Food was ok. The service was not like it used to be. They forgot to bring us one of the orders for over 30 minutes. Will not recommend this place.

I stayed here one night and had a good time....The rooms were clean and the service good...crazy good location for sure!

Service was good, rooms comfortable and less than 500 ft from Grand Central Station with all the trains and Subway routes. Traffic and out side noise will keep you up if you have a room that looks out on 42nd. Toilet flushes loudly as if your in a gym. All said, I would stay there again in a heart beat.

Nothing can beat the location at Grand Central STATION in Manhattan. The airport bus is half a block away. Very large hotel with Nee York service . Get ready to pay for everything you may have thought is free. The hotel adds a hidden resort or they call it destination fee.

Nice lobby, large gym but no pool. Large Grand Club with good breakfast.

Be aware some rooms are nice others are simply bad outdated and impractical.

Helpful staff at this convenient hotel. Rooms are on the small side but clean and adequate. The location is the best attribute, located next to Grand Central Station.
