On a recent trip to Las Vegas I was excited to try out Gordon Ramsay's Steak restaurant, but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. As a former Chef with culinary training (not just a title) my expectations of mid to somewhat high priced restaurant are somewhat high. However there are basics with every restaurant that are absolutes in my book. Hot food should be hot, cold food cold and proteins adequately seasoned and cooked according to request. I ordered Gordon's signature Beef Wellington. I even joked with the server that this dish was going up against my British Nan's. He assured me that my Nan may learn a thing or two from them at Steak. I had a good giggle and was very optimistic.

I started out with an onion soup of sorts and the flavour was brilliant but the texture was odd. Its hard to explain but its the best choice for a description. The bread selection that served was delightful and not something I will soon forget.

I brought this to the attention of the service staff who apologized and offered to have the dish remade but with a 45 minute preparation time I was certain to miss the curtain call for the show I was going to that evening. I was given fresh asparagus which were wonderful (which should have come out the first time). Regretfully I was resigned to a poorly executed Beef Wellington. I only managed to have a few bites and then politely asked the service staff to take it away as it was not a pleasant experience.

I also ordered a cider and was offered water during my visit. I decided to skip desert as I had enough disappointment for one evening. Mind you when I received the bill I was in for quite the shock. For one person it was over $100 USD, and $8 for the water. If I would have been informed on the cost of water I may have simply skipped it. That is a bit much in my estimation. There was no accounting for the food which was sent back and no follow-up from a manager. A bit disappointing and unprofessional in my humble estimation.

Overall I would suggest others try a different restaurant if they are looking for great food with the celeb chef experience. I am heading back to Las Vegas this weekend and am inclined to try Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak at the MGM

I hate to say it but I was disappointed. I realize that I'm in Vegas and everything is over priced, but this was pretty pricey and the food was mediocre at best.

They do a really good presentation. The decor is nice the staff is friendly everything is set up to make you feel like you're in a high price restaurant. The only problem was the food want high prices quality.

I started with the Caesar salad. I don't know how to explain but the dressing was not good. It reminded me of mayonnaise. The flavor was rich but other than that it was flat, no zing. I had the rack of lamb with potato puree and asparagus. The potatoes were creamy and delicious my favorite party of the meal. The asparagus was wilted but tasty.

Finally the lamb was too fatty for my taste. It probably would have been perfect for most but for me no. I love lamb, but again this was flat not much in flavor. I don't like a lot of salt but this needed some. I prefer savory, this was slightly sweatened
It just was not for me

Unfortunately, this was an awful restaurant experience.

We were seated in the middle of the floor on these individual throne-like chairs where the table did not extend past the toes. Such that, you would have to uncomfortably lean forward from the edge of your sofa chair to eat your food.

To start, the wait staff was kind, and our appetizer (a foie gras dish) was delicious. I was a fool to believe the rest of my meal was going to be as pleasant.

I ordered the rib eye medium rare. The knife provided was closer to a butter knife than a steak knife. Unsharp and barely serrated, I worked on my ungodly gristly steak with it as I balanced on the edge of my unreclining La-Z-Boy. The steak was overcooked but you could not tell by the sight of it because the room was flooded by this horrendous red light. Every steak looked every condition of rarity in this dining room.

I held my tongue about my food because I did not want to worsen the already unsalvagable atmosphere for my dining mates. I tipped the meal as I could not have blamed the wait staff, but it was difficult paying on top of the $25 for still water.

This was supposed to be the meal of our trip to indulge. If you are looking for the same thing, I recommend that you go elsewhere.

My husband and I are Gordon Ramsey junkies! This was our first visit to Vegas... so of course we HAD to try his steak house. Literally everything I put in my mouth was amazing. The pork belly was out of this world. And the steak, was to die for. I m not one who ever eats fatty parts of meat, but not even that went to waste. The service was excellent, we never went without. Top notch! Can t wait to experience his other restaurants!

THE BEST STEAK...IN THE WORLD.
This was by far the best Steak that we have had anywhere in the world! Fantastic food. Excellent restaurant. Polite and friendly staff.

The whole menu is amazing, but the steaks are definitely worth every penny.

Alaskan King Crab, juicy, recommend 1 lb.
Japanese Wagyu, 4 oz. Very good, but too pricey.
US Wagyu, 8oz ( i forgot which cut), they are okay. I prefer the Japanese Wagyu, we had in Osaka.
Maybe its the style of cooking. It s just different here.

The best steak i ve had in my life. The Beef Wellington & Wagyu literally melted in my mouth. The Gnocchi I recommend for the appetizer, the sauce was really good with the dumplings. 4 Stars due to the wait time, we had a reservation at 9:45 and didn t eat till almost 11.

Food was delicious and the environment was awesome.

We went there at 4:30, but the restaurant not open until 5 I think. We waited outside until they open. The waitress was warm. And since we were trying to catch a show, we need to leave at 6:30, and she made sure that our food came in fast on time and wrap up everything on time. 5 star for service.

Food was very fresh and delicious. The oyster was so fresh and tasty. The crab salad was also light and fresh. I didn't have any steak, but ordered the grilled seafood platter. Very well done. The scallop was grilled just about right, cooked but still tender. So happy. My friends were all very happy with their steak. It was a fun and great time. And the food was excellent.

If you are curious what a great beef Wellington is...

If you are curious what a great beef Wellington is like, this is as close as you can get without going to the Savoy in London. If I had gone here first, I would have thought it the best- but it is a few notches below the Savoy. The atmosphere was very loud also, so this probably isn t the classiest place you could go in Vegas. However, the service is excellent- definitely what I expected, and the food is definitely worth a shot. And be sure to save room for the sticky toffee pudding- it s a British classic served with brown butter ice cream, best you ll ever have!

After going to he s pub at Caesar s palace horrible food. I thought I give it another try at he s steak house and again horrible place to eat. The steak worst steak I ever had. Over priced and overrated restaurant and food. The inside very nice restaurant I give him that but food I would give him zero stars if I could. I don t understand how can this guy be successful when he s food sucks. Guys go to Mac Donald s you will enjoy your meal better than this guys restaurant. Stuff I give it a 4 1/2 and inside restaurant the same but the food I give him a half star just to be nice.

This Gordon Ramsay restaurant is located in Paris Hotel and Resort in Vegas. Reservation was easy and getting seated was fast. The ambiance was elegant and well decorated.

Their menu offered a narrow selection with about 3 4 dishes in each category. As expected, they offered this very appealing package that included the dish, wine and an autographed gift. If I had the budget for that evening, I would have bought it. The cost was $150 USD.

Before you order, they wheel the meat cart to your table and give you a presentation of the various cuts of meat. This was a really nice experience. It was an educational experience but it was pointless because I ordered chicken.

The service was great but I was disappointed with the dish. It was somewhat cold and the chicken wasn t thoroughly cooked. I was surprised that they didn t offer to take it back and give me a new dish since they were so focused on quality service. They didn t even give me a discount. They just apologized for it.

It was a one-time experience at one of Gordon Ramsay s restaurant but the value I received wasn t worth the price I paid.

I am truly disappointed in this Restraunt, we had reservation at 7:15 PM last night and we never got seated untill after 9:30pm and to top it off our party had to sit at different tables, I'm sorry we had reservations months in advance and for that to happen that is crazy. The food was disgusting, the only thing good about that place is our waiter, he was extremly nice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE NOT EVEN TO MY ENEMYS

NOT worth the $600 dollar check yesterday. It sounded great at first until we got our food. It was so cold. We watched it sit there ready for the longest. The waiter had explained they had a special in the same plate never did he explain that we were going to be charged for 2 different things!!!! He made it sound like it was all in one plate for one price. And he only checked on us once, we were out of drinks so we ate our food with nothing to drink. We ordered medium/ medium well steaks they were well done. So disappointing. This is not the place to go to spend $600!!!

Service was excellent, mushrooms were amazing, mac and cheese was subpar and the bone-in ribeye was atrocious. No lie! I am a ribeye connoisseur and this thing was the worst ribeye I have ever had. Wish my Twitter following was larger so I could roast Gordon about this. For shame Gordon, for shame.

Eh, had the fillet steak. I think it was the 8 or 6 once one. I had it medium rare. Initially I wasn't sure if it was a dull knife but it was the steak a bit gummeish. I had high expectations I am guessing from such high profile chef and a $58 steak. The side dishes were a homerun for sure. Mushroom and bone marrow were excellent but again the main dish needed to be better. Maybe next time I hope. But I had better steaks in Las Vegas for sure.

Lived up to the hype. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, we didn't and was fortunate enough to get a table for 5 right before the restaurant closed. Lots of amazing beef options for steak, server recommended the American wagyu steak which was immaculate. Amazing flavour, seasoned perfectly. Well worth $60 USD. Sides are $12 per dish but somehow felt worth it. Very tasty, amazing service and even though this is out of my price range I would come back.

Visited for dinner on my Birthday. This place is Beautiful!! The food was Outstanding, and the service was Great! We were seated upstairs and had a Great view of the entire restaurant! My only complaint would be that they sat us right in front of the entrance to the kitchen and next to a supply station for the servers... so it was both Noisy and Busy right there... but the evening was still enjoyable and we will visit again next time we are in town!!!

Pricey but very good. We had a table of four and got two orders of the Beef Wellington For Two. That was an amazing piece of meat. The bread selection they give you is fantastic as well. We shared a loaded potato which was very good, and my Coffee Old Fashioned was a unique and great cocktail.

Waited for over 45 minutes past our reservation time and the hostess s in the the front were not very friendly, they obviously saw us waiting and didn t tell us we could wait inside at the lounge until our table was ready, BUT gordan Ramsey was there! It was so cool! I finally saw him in person, our waiter was awesome and super quick, I had the knee cap steak and it was so yummy! Bunch of flavor and very tender. It s also a pretty small restaurant, I hope they make it bigger soon. And the atmosphere was very loud, but great experience.

So my husband and I went because I love his shows. He always expects perfection from all of his food. Well our dinner had to be in the top 5 worst places we have ever eat at. My husband's steak was burnt on the top and that's the only flavor he could taste. He ordered the bone in rib eye and for $60+ you expect an amazing steak. We complained to the waiter he told is that they cook on a grill and that is how they prepare them. Then we ordered the Mac and cheese and potato puree as our sides. They were nothing to get excited over. Plus when you have to pay $9 for the water. So after a $205 bill we left there highly dissatisfied. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The experience is definitely something to behold. From when you first walk in to the waiters setting the table upon the arrival of the food. The food is some of the best I've ever had in my life. I can describe in words just how taken away I was by the flavors. I will say the only downfall is the price but that is to be expected by the name brand.

During a recent trip to Las Vegas, my wife and I stayed at Paris specifically to make reservations at Gordon Ramsay Steak. We arrived for our 7pm reservation and the staff told us they were running about 15 minutes behind, but that we could sit inside at the bar and they would come and get us when our table was ready. No problems there, as far as we were concerned it gave us a chance to check out the lay of the land and enjoy a couple of cocktails before supper. I was very impressed with the ambiance of the restaurant, the staff was very courteous and our drinks were very tasty. I was surprised by the music being played - an eclectic blend of 70's, 80's and 90's which added to experience while we waited for our table.
Once seated, our server was very attentive, the meat cart was a fun experience and the menu was so amazing everything sounded delicious. Every single item on the menu sounded delicious and well thought out. A bus person brought out some bread and butter for the table and the bread was so delicious we started talking about coming back to try all the delectables we didn't order this visit. I knew this was putting the horse before the cart, but the experience to this point had been pretty awesome and now our first bites were crazy delicious. This is the point the experience began to go south.
My wife and I like to cook and we have some pretty nice knives at home, so I was surprised by the steak knives that were set in front of us in anticipation of our meal. This seems like a small detail, but a dull cheap steak knife had a huge impact on our experience as they could not even cut through our potato trio side dish, let alone easily slice through beef or a scotch duck egg. We ordered the seared foie gras, which was a first time experience I do not plan to repeat - but I do not feel there were any execution problems with this dish and the presentation was impressive. We also ordered the scotch duck egg, and when served I was surprised to see it was only a single egg and I did not really care for the flavor of the sausage. While this item was part of the experience, overall I feel our starter decisions were poorly chosen (for the price I much prefer the trio of scotch eggs I receive at the pub for $10). The potatoes very literally took moments of sawing on to cut in half, and then the same for individual bites - the skin was extremely tough and difficult to cut through. My beef wellington was very tender, well seasoned, tasty and had a bit of pink in the middle. I prefer my meat rare to medium rare - typically a cool red center if I'm being honest, and this entree put the medium-'WELL' into wellington. Like I said, it was still tender, so I ate it...unfortunately I had the option to add two diver scallops to my meal and forgot to do so when I ordered. It was served with a smear of puree which was also tasty, but the root vegetables were nothing more than blanched and my poorly performing utensil did not handle them well. My wife loved her rib cap steak, although I found it to be fatty in texture and did not care for it either.
Unfortunately, we were both too full for dessert but would have liked to have tried a couple and shared.
I would have given a lower tier restaurant a 3 out of 5 stars, but due to the $350 we spent on our meal, drinks and tip, as well as the expectations I had for the cuisine of Chef Ramsay, I feel the food earned a 2 out of 5 stars. I would happily go back to sit at the bar and enjoy some cocktails, but as amazing as the potential for this experience was, I value consistency and execution and can not suggest this establishment.

Went with my wife and four friends. The dinner was to celebrate my wife's birthday. To start the music was to loud to think. Making it hard to hear the conversation. All the guest having to yell at each other. We where seated up stairs next to a busy doorway. Where the staff and guest kept bumping into my chair. We where served wine, water after being seated the water was warm the wine was enjoyed by all, and the appetizer's where not the best but ok. The main course came and the water was warmer than the beef wellington. The wellington was dry with no flavor and it was so bad that a bland taste would have been a step up. My wife's lobster Wellington was also the same temperature of the water and no flavor. The waiter forgot part of the order but still tried to charge us for it. Ramsey's judgment for this chef is poor. I was fouled by Ramsey's t.v show in his display in perfection and pried in what was being served with his name on it. Now I see it was just a T.V. hype so this just makes Ramsey an a--hole filled with hot air. Ramsey if your ever in Reno, NV go to the Eldorado casino and have the beef wellington at Roxy's Steak House. Maybe you can learn a thing or two from the chef. May show you and your team how its done. "so piss off" Ramsay

Byfar one of the best steaks ive ever had. Cooked to perfection! The lobster was juicey and spiced perfectly. No need to drown it in garlic butter sauce or add anything to the steak, they were perfect as is. The wine list was a bit pricey, but its as expected for a nice restaurant like this. The service was exquisite, and they could explain the food and wine in detail.
