The boat and tour was great, food was good - however the staff was subpar.
We were there to shoot a wedding on the boat and the staff members were unapproachable and inconsiderate. They were so worried about making sure that everyone on the top deck had been paid for that they failed to notice that they were standing in shots of the bride/bridal party coming down the aisle (I don't have any shots without the crew-member in the corner completely oblivious - yes I cropped her out for our final delivery).
We went for a birthday celebration. Great boat ride...went further out than on previous runs. Boat was clean and staff was kind and courteous.
This was our second time on the vessel. My sister and brother Inlaw came to visit us from Michigan for a few days. We wanted them to get a feel for Cleveland, it s history and what it has to offer. The trip up the Cuyahoga river provided that. It s just the right amount of time and the crew is always pleasant and kind. Thank you for another great experience.
John Chartier.
Good two hour time out. Not sure if continuous music after hour plus narrative is needed. pleasant crew
wow! if you come to Cleveland this is a MUST DO! Captain Rick and the crew are professional and personable! I went on the Sunset cruise!
This is one of the best ways to see and learn fun facts about Cleveland. Breathtakingly beautiful views of the Cleveland skyline that can only be captured this way. It s a family friendly activity that native Clevelanders or visitors can enjoy. Highly recommended!
Professional and clean. Fun music. We could not hear the narration at all. Then, we were still on the boat and there was an opportunity to repeat some of the narration, but we didn't -- we missed out on 99% of the narration.
The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. The food was dry and bland. Drinks were very expensive. For the price, I expected better food.
My Girlfriend and I went on the Good time for a Date. It was a very informative and relaxing ride around Tower city. Alot of good sights. Would go agian.
Wonderful experience...roomy, everyone polite and very very friendly. Beautiful weather. Clear and able to understand the narration. The crew was the best. You have to do this.
I had a great time. The ambiance was amazing. All in all just great.
I love boats...being a navy vet and all lol. This is as close as I can get on short notice for a boat ride lol. My recent first date was on here. Good music dancing and city lights. However dont waste your money on the drinks. They are expensive and weak.
The cruise was enjoyable, but it started off on a sour note after the energy bars I brought along for the day was taken away.
Awesome place to relax and enjoy go at night tho that's better
Very calm evening! Great company, good food, great price!
We went for the dance cruise on Friday. They have really changed up the music and we enjoyed each other's company waaaaay more than the boat itself(that was our fault because we should have read more closely that they changed it). They only play jazz, old school 70'-early 90s (mostly pop). I don't mind this music but some up to date music would have been nice. Also the price has gone up to $30 per person. The boat is usually packed but it was definitely not.
Have taken my dad mom & hubby 4 or 5 years now in June. How lucky we are to live in a town with such great amenities so close by. This nice peacefully narrated 2 hr ride along the Cuyahoga river surely makes our town shine!
Sandra Capretta Porter
We go every year on the weekend before labor day as our last "summer" fun trip. Very relaxing and a very good price for tickets. Always a great trip. One hint, come early because of parking spaces near pier. Other than that, you will love the 2 hour ride!
A very interesting commentary on the history of Cleveland and the Cuyahoga river.
Mother's Day dinner cruise 5/14/2017; it was wonderful!! The staff was welcoming, and the dinner was good. The one complaint I have is not having water available to drink other than if you waited in line at the bar. Water should be set up like the coffee was; it was an irritation. Everything else was very enjoyable . The entertainment was FANTASTIC! The Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra singers, the singing was beautiful! And going to the 3rd level observation was amazing; perfect weather! I would absolutely go again.
Good dinner nice cruise ship. Very spacious. It was a fun and relaxing time. Also great price.
Had a great time on the Goodtime III. Staff was extremely friendly throughout the cruise. Be sure to take a light jacket or sweater because it is really cold out on the water!
Fantastic boat ride on the Cuyahoga River & Lake Erie. A great history lesson on board. So much fun. I love being on the water. Very entertaining for people of all ages.
I had best fun ever and I really like the young to oldest people on ship we were as one unity with different nationality having so much fun.
Was wonderful! The ship was separated nicely so social distancing want an outside at all. Service was okay with a couple hiccups to be expected on the first opening day. We are so thankful that you are back and we were able to enjoy a beautiful day on the Cuyahoga learning a little about the area!
Went on the the R&B Friday Night cruise and the experience was excellent. Mostly, I enjoyed the night time views along the Cuyahoga River. The live music on the lower level and the deejay spinning on the second level was just icing on the cake.
My only criticism of the experience is how passengers are boarded. There are two lines, one for people carrying any type of bag or purse and the other line those without bag or purse. What this is amounts to is couples or friends being separated while waiting in line purely for purposes that suits the Good Time III
The tour was very educational and informative. Well done.
This is a great boat ride but the food is over priced and it's not that good. You are not allowed to walk around and I am paying 20 $ doe this also the price for this boat is horible
Can't wait to get back on . Our hostess was great Karen Ely , made our time out for the day wonderful.
It was a good time but the bathroom was a disaster, toilets didn't flush ,food service okay but a little slow
It was nice! I just wish their hair was tied up in the kitchen. I say this because the women's hair was so long and all loosely over their heads. Made me not eat after seeing that. But a pleasant trip!
The music on every level was the greatest the kind of music I love as old school, and the music my daughter's loved new millennium s, wasn't happy of the no smoking change on top deck, think they should bring that back but overall a "good time"
Celebrated my fathers 80th birthday. Staff were great, food delicious, music upbeat! We had a great time!
I took my wife and mother on the Mother's Day cruise it was perfect!!
If I could give this trip a negative star I would. The boat malfunctioned, so we sat at the dock for about an hour after everyone boarded. The only plus side of the trip was that the food was fairly good. We got out of the dock at roughly 8:00 then turned around and picked up a lot more people at about 9-9:15. At which time the boat went from a nice dinner cruise to a nightclub. The people who boarded the boat later were rude and extremely inconsiderate. Smoke blowing in your face, people smoking pot and blowing it in your face. This was quite literally the worst time I've had on a boat. Definitely not family oriented. I will stick to going on the nautica queen. I do not like putting places down, but this place was horrible. I should have done more research before choosing this boat. A lesson well learned
We had the best time on the Goodtime lll. It was very relaxing and the food was surpisurpris good. Can't wait to do it again!
Not enough bartenders or need more spots to get drinks. Possibly need the bar open way before we set sail. By the time you get your drinks the ride is almost over and couldn t really take in the relaxing ride. The boat ride may need to be longer because of this. I ve been on it a few times and the same results is the same. Long lines for drinks = short boat trip. Needs to improve in this area greatly.
The staffs are very friendly, and the tour is good overall! We had so much fun!
One of the very best things we did this year!!! Thank You and your very professional, professionals... Your crew made a simple family outing so very special and unforgettable. Thank U for making me feel ..1so classy and pampered... Yay!! Yay!!!
Wonderful, I had a fun with my sister and my friends...
Had a great time despite the rain. Good was excellent, staff were terrific, narration & your was great. Yes, definitely would recommend to others (already have) and can't wait to do it again.
Well worth the trip! Beautiful and educational. Loved learning about the history of Cleveland, and the ongoing restoration projects involving the Cuyahoga River.
Love the ride, comfortable, educational, fun for my grandchildren and guests I took from the Bahamas.
The tour and ship were very nice, better than I expected, though it would have been nice to spend a bit more time on the lake itself rather than going up the river. The volume on the speakers was too low- it was hard to hear the tour information over the other patrons talking.
There were some patrons on the boat who made the tour less enjoyable- they were very loud and would smoke despite the ship crew telling them multiple times that no smoking was allowed on the ship- they would either hide the cigarettes or put them out just to light more once the ship crew went to a different level. I can t blame the tour company for the poor behavior of the people on the boat, but the problem wouldn t have been as bad if there were more crewmen stationed on the ship to stay on each level to make sure people were following the rules and not disrupting the tour experience for the other people on board. My family sat at a table on the very top deck, where one crewman could oversee the whole level if he stayed by the staircase.
The ship s horn was extremely loud, as we were sitting very close to the speaker. A warning sign would have been nice, telling the top deck that a horn would blow periodically throughout the cruise, as the sound is much louder there than on the lower decks.
Overall it was a very nice experience, and worth the ticket price. I m giving four stars because the bathroom door didn t latch or lock, and someone had to stand outside the door to make sure no one else opened the door while someone was using it. I feel like that s a problem that could be easily fixed with a slide bolt on the inside of the door, or something similar. Being a two hour tour with both food and drink available, the bathroom facilities are an important feature that should be well maintained.
This was our first time on the Goodtime III. We went as a family trip and to also celebrate Fathers Day. The staff was amazing from beginning to end. The price was well worth it and overall the experience was top notch. The only thing is the temperature was over 90 degrees and you are standing outside until you can go to the ticket window and again until you can board. I just would suggest perhaps offering cold water during the wait. Because you have seniors and children and being in that heat can cause illness. You have to arrive early to give time for traffic delays and to find parking etc. you also can t take anything from outside onto the boat. So again maybe having cold water available during the wait would be a good gesture. I m already planning my next trip, see ya soon !
We had such a great time! Beautiful view of the city lights!
I was on the Friday Night Smooth Jazz and R&B cruise 7/5/2019 featuring the SPIRIT PLUS band. This band and the singers were phenomenal. They played a lot of old school music which my huband and I really enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The cruise was smooth and the view was breathtaking. My fear of cruising has subsided as this was my first. My only suggestion to management is that they provide paying customers one courtesy drink ticket. A nice gesture for paying customers. We ended up PAYING FOR ALL FOOD AND DRINKS. This is the reason for the 4 star instead of a five star rating. That said, I would still recommend a Goodtime III cruise.
Our Nurenberg Paris crew spent Friday evening on the Goodtime III's happy hour cruise as a summer company outing. The evening was fabulous. From planning to the night of, the Goodtime III staff and crew were easy to work with. They coordinated Rascal House pizza, wings and salad with no hitches and the food was hot on arrival. The boat was packed on this Friday night, but everything still sailed smoothly. Mother Nature even cooperated with a perfect Cleveland evening! Thank you to the Goodtime III for being a wonder Cleveland landmark!
The Goodtime III operates from Cleveland's North Coast Inner Harbor at E. 9th Street Pier, next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I took the daytime trip into Erie and viewed Cleveland via its many bridges along the river and back all for less than $20! (see photos).
Don't miss this fantastic trip - beer and food on board!
Sucks. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. All you do is go in a circle. So not worth the $54.95 ticket price.
The security guard was very rude, the captain (lady) was VERY rude. I wasn't even able to get on the boat because my friend was dress inappropriate showing a bit to much chest, but once the security guard stop her, she quickly button her shirt up for a more reasonable attire. The security guard and captain said she still cant get on because she can easily unbutton her shirt once on the boat. First, we are not teenagers, we are grown adults. I wasn't pleased with their attitudes. I didn't want to say they were being racist, but that's what it seem like.
My wife & I are 70. We brought a couple that are 89 to celebrate their 70th anniversary. We all enjoyed the nice lunch & the narrated cruise.
We give a 4.5 star out of 5.
My girlfriends and I were there for our 24th annual Girls Trip. We had a great experience , your captain s assistant was very pleasant and accommodating. The music was perfect the atmosphere and the weather was also perfect! GOOD TIMES was a great name to choose for this ride. I think we all agree that it is a must do when you are in Cleveland!
I spent the 4th of July holiday on the Good Time III and this was the most exciting and fun day cruise I've ever taken! The crew was friendly, and knowledgeable. the facilities were clean, and even though the ship was filled to capacity, you never felt crowded. The captain came around and introduced himself to a lot of folks and even spoke to the children on board. The Good Time III is a Cleveland institution and it is a great way to see our great city and get a bit of history.
This gives a great opportunity to see the downtown area Cleveland from the water. Very nice. Good service, food, and fun onboard.
The cruise was ok but WAY too overbooked, you could barely move around on the ship.
Very fun cruise. At first I wasn't sure how it would be because it took a while for my table to be served & there were ppl getting there second round of drinks. But eventually our server came by and apologized and took our order. After that everything went really well and I really enjoyed myself!
We celebrated Father's Day aboard the Goodtime III on Saturday. The cruise at Noon was really nice, relaxing, and to view Cleveland from the Lake view was great.
We really do live in a beautiful city!
The Land in CLE.
Nice way to start ur night, we went on Friday and Spirit Plus was the live band and they definitely did not disappoint.
The cruise was most enjoyable. What a great way to see Cleveland and the
river up close. Will do it again. One sees something "new'" every time you travel the Inner Harbor.
Friendly staff great views nice people overpriced liquor
Very good cruise, learned a lot about Cleveland Flats area. Drawbridges are fun to watch! Clean and spacious ship. Good price
Loved seeing various perspectives of the city of Cleveland. The tour was also quite informative. Food onboard was fair, but they do have a few beers, and wine options to keep you honest. This was great for a 1 and done experience, but I'm glad my family and I did it.
Ride smooth the lake view and city magnificent. I wish he would have done some dance music for all age. We are not in to obscene type dancing. Maybe you could have different generations music.
My family and I enjoyed the cruise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Boat ride was smooth and not choppy. The only issue I had was that there was only one food galley on the first floor which meant a 20-30 minute wait to get snacks. It would have also helped if the galley started service at 11:30 when we boarded. Overall we liked it and would like to go again. Our kids loved the views and seeing the bridges.
Great tour on Cuyahoga River. Wasn't overly impressed with dinner.
This was a wonderful way to end the school year! The students enjoyed seeing and hearing about some of the places they had learned about during the year.
I would like to take this trip again.
Indoor seating on the first floor. Covered and outside seating on second and third.
Very informative. Good for Clevender and tourists
