Traveling from Pennsylvania, my wife and I were go...

Traveling from Pennsylvania, my wife and I were going to up in Cleveland over the July 4th holiday. We love fireworks so decided to find the best place in Cleveland to see them. I read a couple of articles and saw several pictures from the water. We needed to do this!
We picked the Goodtime III because of the dinner and cruise options, there were several. We picked the top deck as our cruise option. It was a few dollars more, but worth every extra penny. Access to the top deck is restricted during fireworks to ticket holders and wait service is available so you don t need to go up and down for refreshments.
The dinner cruise started with a buffet that had options for everyone. Main course items as well as sides and salads that can easily fill a plate. Non-alcoholic beverages were included, and two stocked bars served reasonably priced beer and cocktails throughout the trip. The dinner portion of the cruise included parts of the Cuyahoga River and both sides of the break wall.
For the fireworks we were only a short distance from the launch pad. The view from the top deck was absolutely amazing! An added bonus to being on the water is that you can see several other water side displays up and down the shoreline. We literally watched fireworks as far as we could see.
Another really nice touch, near the end of the cruise, the Captain visited the top deck and talked with the other guests. He truly was a nice guy.
We are from southeast Pennsylvania, but will be back on the Goodtime III for another dinner cruise.

Took my family for one of the cruises. It was a very enjoyable time. The narrative history that was presented was very interesting. Two complaints: they didn't go as far down the river as I would have liked, and the music on the boat was turned up a little too loud.

Cruise was great. Left on time, the right amount of narration to be interesting and not over done. The crew was friendly and remarkably attentive to ensure the boat was clean and litter free from the passengers. Length of time of 2 hours is right amount, too.

I enjoyed the tour until we spent 30-45 minutes cruising past Burke Lakefront and back again. Just taking up time. The tour information was excellent and the trip on the river by the flats then by the salt mines was great.

Fabulous viewing platform for cleveland air show over Labor Day weekend. Crew & staff were especially helpful -- we came aboard in wheelchair -- and so cheerful despite a very full boat. It was a wonderful day on the water, clean ship & restrooms, and probably a lot more comfortable than the kayaks, motor boats & sailboats bobbing around us! Great experience

I like the boat tour there was a great fun atmosphere on board, the boat was on time and ticket office staff very nice, I wish they include a snack in the price $30 for two hours sounds expensive they should have pen and crayons for kids or at least an indoor tv, you couldn't hear the audio tour clearly, it's a recording so it's missing a human touch to the whole experience. Beside that we had a great time, lake Erie was Nice.

We enjoyed ourselves. The tour was very informative and a great way to see a different side of Cleveland. Very relaxing. Deducted one star because the food served was lacking, not Goodtimes fault, but whoever does the catering.

It was a really good boat ride we sat and drank and danced and listen to DJ's and bands it had three floors. The entire family had a good time we all talked and danced and laughed. It was extremely interesting floating down the river looking at all of the Cities lights and buildings. There was even this guy who was running on the sidewalk we were all screaming at him run for it run he was trying to beat the boat it was funny he won. So the next time you're in Philly book yourself a family drink day on the boat

My family had a Marvelous time on the Goodtime III. We are thinking about reserving space for the upcoming holiday. The food was good and the boating staff were very professional. I see why this cruise is so popular.

Boat tour was wonderful, meal not so much. Not sure how you can mess up a buffet lunch, I don't expect much since it's a buffet but apparently I did expect to much here. I won't drag on about the poor quality of the food or the lack of options nor the fact that they serve you at the buffet and give 1/2 cup size servings of 3 items but what was just unacceptable was lie after lie. The guys in our party wanted 2nd's and we were told that they could go up after everyone has gone up, everyone in the dining room had gone up. When we pointed that out they said we were waiting on a party to show up so no 2nd's until we know if the party has made it or not.... We are now leaving the dock and the food is being put away even though there are people waiting for more. We asked and they let us know it was now to late for them to serve since we are no longer dockside. WHAT???? live and learn...if we ever go again we will go for the cruise only and eat elsewhere. The food was not worth $18.95 and if we want to eat while cruising we will go on the Nautica Queen, they understand a buffet.

Have been on three Goodtime III cruises, all nice. The most recent were both this month -- June 2019. The first of these were evening chartered party cruises with deejays, and the most recent was a narrated cruise on a Wednesday afternoon -- a treat for my Mom and an out-of-state friend who was visiting. I enjoyed the afternoon cruise more than the chartered party cruises, for a few reasons. First, the narration about the history of the river is interesting, especially given that this is the 50th anniversary of the national media stories about the river burning. Second, on the weekday afternoon cruise there were fewer people aboard, so views were almost always unobstructed and there were no long lines at the bars and restrooms as there were on the party cruises. Also, on the afternoon cruise the weather was mostly warm and sunny, whereas on the evening cruises it got chilly on the lake, especially at dusk. Here are my PROS for all Goodtime cruises: the ease of boarding/disboarding (even for seniors), friendly, tolerant crew members, lots of seating on all four decks, fairly quick food/drink service (not counting the lines), some fun song choices (on the non-deejay cruise), clean restrooms, and plenty of indoor/shaded/quieter areas to avoid too much sun or noise. The only CONS: lack of any safety instructions on the evening chartered cruises, lack of large signage leading to the stairs and restrooms, some occasional odd music choices on all cruises, and lack of healthy food options aside from popcorn. (Sneaking your own healthy snacks aboard is possible, as long as you're discreet and don't litter). Overall, 4 to 4.5 stars.

Our CWWT Family Reunion was held in Cleveland Ohio August 1st thru 4th, 2019. On Friday evening August 2 our excursion was to the GoodTime III and we had a ball. The music on the various floors was wonderful and had good grooves for listenig and dancing. The food was good and the staff was pleasant to work with before the excursion and during. The night air and views of Downtown Cleveland added to the ambiance of family, food and fun enjoying the live band as well as the DJ. Our family certainly enjoyed our time on the GoodTime IIII. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful evening!!!!

This was a very nice cruise. The lunch was very good. My only complaint is that we had a my son's girlfriend with us and she is in a wheelchair. Where they very accommodating when they could be the ship is not really set up for wheelchairs. She was disappointed she couldn't go up on the deck. She had to stay on thebottom level. The bathrooms were not accommodating at all. I realize a lot of places don't think about the handicapped but it would have made our experience much betterif they were handicap "friendly".

The Goodtime III is always a great time. There are lake, river and even dinner and dancing cruises to choose from. For several years we've made a habit of getting tickets for their labor day weekend air show tickets. They are timed to coincide with each year's fighter jet performances.

It's a nice cruise and beautiful views. We recently went on a Friday night dance cruise and it was way too crowded and you could barely walk around or get anywhere because there were too many people. Besides that it's nice.

The sales people at the front desk and aboard the ship were so very helpful and nice. One of our family members had a walker and all the crew members helped out when we boarded and got off. So happy that this was a great experience for her because the crew made it a good one. Thank you keep up the awesome work!

What a wonderful experience! We had never been on the Goodtime cruise and what a fantastic time we had. The crew and staff were very friendly and helpful. We were treated so graciously and the food was wonderful! We then proceeded to the upper deck for the tour. So beautiful and informative. It was so relaxing and fun that we are planning to book another cruise! Thank you everyone for such a memorable day!

Goodtime III was a good time. Parking on the pier is $15 for all day parking. Spots were available about a hour before the cruise. We went to the Disco cruise. It was loud and packed with folks dancing. Restrooms are available on the boat. Aside from alcohol and soda they do serve fried food. Folks were generally nice. Great pictures of the city. We even hung out at Jacob's Pavilion to listen to a concert. The sad part is that we needed to dock ASAP due to some women fighting and the cops needed to collect them. Well worth the $25.

This was our third Goodtime III excursion this season and we ll be back for more! This trip was during the Tall Ships visit to Cleveland and having the view from atop the 4th deck of GTIII offered a unique perspective, especially with the downtown Cleveland skyline and the lights of the city in the background.

This is the third time we have dined aboard and the catering service was again excellent. The wait staff is very attentive and the entertainment was excellent.

We have our next trip already planned and love showing off the city to friends and family from our boat !
