The medical records Lady Valerie is plain rude, along with her friends fron the front desk. Apparently,if a process server is not a "regular",he or she has to wait for security guard to escort us to drop off a subpoena for medical records like were a criminal while general people walk right on into the hospital who could possibly could be. Something that normally takes 5 minutes sometimes less actually took 18 minutes. A security guard was on break or on lunch or just doing nothing, then I said something, then the girl st the front calls again. Then when you finally do get to medical records, you say"good day" she just looks at you and say"how may i help you" you give her the papers and say"happy holidays"not a response, she just looks at you....smh. What kind of people do they have greeting the general public there?

They should make changes, that's why local palm beaches rate this "one of the worst hospitals in the city".
Just read the other comments.

Absolutely shocked at how dirty the rooms were !!

Absolutely shocked at how dirty the rooms were !!
My husband was coming in for a surgical biopsy.
We were directed to one room.
The floor had a spill on it , it looked sticky .
There were pieces of white trash, lint on the floor.
The room had NOT been vacuumed. The corners were dusty.
I complained and we were them taken to another room. IT WAS JUST AS DIRTY .... Dirty, dusty floor. Dirty corners, white pieces of fuzz and lint ALL over the floor.
This is not acceptable and was such a stressful way to begin a day when my husband was undergoing a serious procedure.....

We had the neighbor check on her, her car was in the parking lot but she wasn t there and this caused a spiral of events with people close to her panicking!

His mom texts him 5 min later saying she s been in the waiting room for 45 minutes!!

Are you serious that you can t keep track of your patients???

Brought my girlfriend here at 4 yesterday 22 hours later a cardiologist still hasn't reviewed her case while the hospital collects money from the insurance company... there's nothing like lining their pockets while they neglect to do their job the longer she's here the more they get to collect from her insurance company but I guess if you're not dying nothing is urgent at this place... Absolutely Fed Up

Dr. Ronald B. Swanson was awful. He rushed me when I had questions (one foot out the door), he caked in three prescriptions to a pharmacy 30 miles away. When I came back in on a cane from a swollen knee, he told me he couldn t fix it because it was already sent to a target CVS that closes at 5 in Saturday s. He stated I need to call another CVS to have the 3 prescriptions transferred. I go back to my vehicle and make the phone call, they only found 2 out of the three prescriptions and were unable to transfer until the following day when Target CVS opened. I walked back in (in terrible pain) for a THIRD time due to this doctor s disregard for his patients, to find out that he refused to provide the third prescription to me because I still had a quantity of FOUR measly pills left. I told the doctor how terrible he was and gave him bullet point reasons why. We exchanged a couple words and I proceeded to leave when another imbecile (male doctor) decided to be provocative and come out to the main entrance after me, and let the front desk know I didn t need to be coming back in there. Why would I be coming back for a fourth time? You all finally proved your incompetency the third time I hobbled back into the hospital with my cane. The hospital is in a terrible area and the doctors act just as low class as the residents in the area. This hospital and their staff are the epitome of garbage and I recommend staying clear of this entire medical establishment.

All along I knew there was THE WORST hospital in the world - and it is Good Samaritan in West Palm Beach. My mother was admitted due to dehydration related to chemotherapy. The incompetence in the service provided to her almost killed her - no exaggeration! The only place competently staffed was the SICU. However, even there in the SICU, the charts were not well kept and my family needed to constantly remind the staff as to who had medical proxy for my mother (they kept forgetting and didn't keep us sufficiently informed). Additionally, the staff lacked good bedside manner - very cold and impersonal from Day 1. It was only after we raised the prospect of involving lawyers did the hospital administrators intervene effectively! The keystone cops could have done better than many of the staff members here!

If you have anything more than a common cold, or a stuffy nose, go somewhere else - otherwise, you're at risk of mistreatment here! If you do use this hospital's services, keep checking on the staff and make sure you're lawyers' telephone numbers are handy - sorry to say...

The ER is a frightening place. I had to get stitches on my bottom lip, they just threw a surgical sheet over my face without walking me through it, I was terrified so I started crying and then they yelled at me to stop crying (several times) they were rude, talked down to me, and were disrespectful to me and my husband. I was given little to no after care instructions. I got a print out and they said to take Advil. No antibiotics and no instructions on how to clean the area and how/when to ice it. I'm very concerned about the quality of care I received, but I won't know for sure until everything is healed. There is something very
wrong going on there

My aunts had a nurse named Monique. She was unfathomably condescending and horrible after my aunt had a mastectomy. When a nursing supervisor was requested it took speaking to someone else to get him to come. This was because we wanted two of her sisters to stay with her and while an exception was made for one night it was a harrowing experience to say the least. Tomorrow unfortunately she ll have to be alone as we found out no hospitals are alike and she can t have a single person stay with her to look over her as well. She s elderly. I m just blown away. The reason two stars were given so becuse of a few nice people that actually balanced the negativity. We have multiple nurses, medics and a doctor in the family. We re familiar with forms of protocol but this experience is a new one for us all.

We flew in from N.C. and went straight to the E.R. for swollen gums. Never at any hospital in the U.S. have I ever been and out the E.R so fast and treated so nicely! We stopped for the same problem in N.C. before we left and they was taking so long we had to leave because we would have missed our flight. I'm a business owner myself and a great ran business definitely a my time for a great review! Thank you so much to the loving and hard working team members over at West Palm's Good Samaritan Medical Center. Great Visit!

I'm going to give you an honest account of my experience at Good Sam, good and bad.

Good

-The non-nursing staff was very nice.

- They did the job for what my insurance company covered.

-The in-room Wi-Fi was surprisingly good.

Bad

- Their surgical prep area is a horror show. It's a room about the size of our living room that's divided by nothing but curtains. You can hear ev-ery-thing. At the end they pulled the curtains back and there were five of us all laying there staring at one another. It was surreal. Don't get surgery here. Don't let your dog get surgery here.

- The nursing care was incredibly bad, bordering on incompetent.

- My surgeon was a complete ass. He under medicated for pain and anxiety and his follow up care was dreadful and resulted in permanent ugly scars from an infection.

- The hospital is old and would be more appropriate as a set for a medical horror movie.

- The business office is non-responsive.

- The food is ghastly. I mean so bad as to be inedible. I had my wife bring me food, it was that bad.

- Good Sam treats you like your time has no value.

Because of their hideous surgical prep area and sad nursing care I would suggest looking at Palm Beach Gardens or Cleveland Clinic in Weston instead. DO NOT GET SURGERY HERE! The most common mistake people make is picking a doctor and getting stuck with where they work. WRONG! Find a nice facility and then find a doctor who works there.

It was a great experience. I went in for an outpatient surgery and I got maximum attention from the beginning to the end. At one point I had five people tending to me alone. I didn't wait, everything was on schedule. I haven't had to go to hospitals a lot in the past, but if I had to again, I would go back to Good Samaritan.

Some Clown Named Corry tried to make my mother get up and walk after she had fallen and damaged both her knee and ankle. Also he did this under the advisement of an x-ray technician, not a physician claiming no bones had been broken. Also about 6 weeks ago I went in with a broken hand, and a nurse tried to administer a cortisone shot without telling me what it was. Only after standing up with a closed fist demanding to know what it was did she tell me.

I received horrible service today from this hospital! If I could give a negative 100 to this hospital I would times 10. I'm a medical professional and to feel as if I was being treated like a someone's worst enemy is a horrible feeling, when a hospital is supposed to show a patient hospitality and make a patient feel appropriated, because the patients is how the staff get a check. I will be contacting AHCA and the board of nursing for the treatment of the horrible staff at this hospital.

I had a wonderful experience at Good Samaritan Hospital. From the moment I entered, ALL staff members were friendly and accommodating to my every question and every need. The nurses in pre- op were super and deceased my pre operation anxiety. The nursing aids were respectful. The space was clean. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital if you need a surgical procedure with overnight stay.

I swear if I could give this place a -5 I would. The doctor that we had tonight sucked. His name or last name was Adam Goldstone He was rude and he was discremaniting against my husband because of his tattoos. We will be filing a complaint with the head of this hospital. He call my husband an addict without even knowing him this is so disgusting and we will never ever come back to this hospital.

I never do reviews.... but this hoapital is horrible i went sunday with an anxiety attack and abdominal pain and trowing up non stop all they where doing was giving me tylenor and pills by mouth wish i kept throwing up so it was no use they had me there till tuesday and i left the last strike for me was how rude the night nurses where especially a nurse named stephanie she told me she thought i was on some type of drug coming out wish i dont understand her dumb remarks beacause they have my blood work so if i did drugs then it would show there.... All i got to say is dont go there if you want to be treated like a human it was horrible i wasnt allowed to even walk like everyone else just because i kept asking them for help to call a doctor cause i was so sick amd had no relif from the medicine they were giving me. In conclusion they need better nurses and a better nurse manager and that nurse stephanie needs to stop calling people names just because they are having an attack of pain

My experience at Good Samaritan was above excellent. I was a patient here for some pretty serious stuff, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else to get the care I received.

First, the people that work there I have found to be very professional, kind, and apparently trained to do the right thing for patients. They were knowledgeable experienced professionals that took care of me at a very scary time for me, and I was very pleasantly surprised of the care I got. The nurses were great, the kind that you feel comfortable putting your trust in, and the whole process worked like clockwork for me, receiving exactly the care I needed to make this trip to the hospital a successful one.

No one enjoys going to the hospital, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else if I were in need again.

Best hospital and staff ever!

I will NEVER go to this hospital again. I have nev...

I will NEVER go to this hospital again. I have never felt so concerned with the care I received. I worked with a RN and Dr. Tiffany Mccalla. It was clear the two of them did not agree on how to take care of me. They had to stick me 3 times to get an IV in. The Dr basically pushed the nurse out of the way to take over. The RN said I don t know why she did this to your arm to me. The RN rolled her eyes as the doctor was talking to me. I did not feel like I was getting the proper care needed. Every time the doctor walked into the room it was like she had no idea what was going on. I was told to provide a urine sample for testing by the RN and told to place it on the counter in my room for testing. They never took the sample and never tested it. I was there a total of 3.5 hours and discharged. The doctor verbatim said I don t know what s wrong with you. Everything seems fine. How unbelievable is this? She didn t seem to care, she didn t seem concerned, what she was saying made zero sense to me. She was providing little to no detail about what s wrong. Then they were supposed to send over 2 different medications to my pharmacy. My girlfriend picked them up for me when she got out of work as I was and still am extremely weak. I call the pharmacy and they say they only received 1 of the medications. I call the hospital, transferred a few times and talk to a man around 6pm who was the charge nurse. He apologized and said he printed out my chart and was walking to the doctors to have it fixed. I call the pharmacy an hour later and they tell me they received nothing. I call back to the hospital and talk to another person who says I either need to check back in a while because they don t know my doctors schedule or come down again. I said that was ridiculous and I was placed on hold for 20 min. When she returns she said that another doctor can t write the script and there s nothing they can do. They transfer me to another charge nurse who said she just got in and has nothing to do with it and doesn't know what s going on but that they can not and will not give me the prescription needed. She said she doesn't know when the other doctor will work again and there s nothing they can do. She said I can call back tomorrow and speak with the clinical director and voice my concerns then. How unreal is this? I ask if there is any anything at all I can buy as a substitute for what was being prescribed and she said no nothing. I received poor care, I did not feel comfortable leaving the hospital, I was provided with no assurance that I was okay, and the medical they perceived never even went to the pharmacy and since they can t find or know when the doctor will be back there s nothing they can do. This is unreal and I will NEVER trust this hospital or anyone that works in it again. To top it all off I ll probably get a $20,000 medical bill for medical care that I think was provided by a third world country.

The reviews of this hospital are really negative, fortunately I do not live in a state where public health does not exist and you have to pay everything privately at high prices and often bad services as can be seen from these experiences. It's really ridiculous how many times the answer was "we are sorry". Maybe it would be better to change jobs, no?

DO NOT CHOSE THIS PLACE if you can avoid it.

Horrible ER experience, rude nurses, they were terrible! The ER doc dismissed me, was in my room for all of 2 minutes. Never did a physical exam until the X-ray came back and showed that I had pneumonia and I had to be admitted. He left me in pain and treated me like someone looking for pain meds. Worst experience I ever had, I did NOT want to stay at this hospital AT ALL! Can t wait to file a patient rights violation against that nasty nurse and the doc, could not believe the way I was treated. If you have a choice, do NOT come here!

I had an outpatient surgical procedure today at Good Samaritan and the experience was phenomenal (all things considered - I was having surgery). Everyone from Marina at the front desk, to Linda who did my registration, to the nurses and anesthesia team that took care of me in pre-op and the fabulous Lou-Ann who cared for me in the recovery room. I am resting comfortably at home this evening and can truly appreciate the expertise and devotion that this team brings to Good Samaritan every day. Patty, the OR director, checked in on me to ensure that I was comfortable and well prepared for my surgery, and the team made sure that I had all I needed before leaving the hospital today. Thank you!

Recently, I needed to go to Good Sam s ER. Unfortunately, my circumstances necessitated an unplanned surgery.

I was scared to death. The calm compassionate care I received was stellar. Every single person from intake personal to imaging to doctor and pre and post care were nothing but outstanding. All the while, they calmed me down and did their job at a very high level.

A hospital can be a scary place. Thank you to all the medical team at Good Sam for all your care, compassion and professionalism!

The nurses have been amazing, that being said the doctors are lackluster. I am power of attorney for my grandfather. I ve shown up at the hospital at the beginning of his stay, I m eight months pregnant with a two-year-old and work an hour from where I live. My grandfather developed a fever while in the hospital so I m not willing to put my unborn baby and toddler at risk of infection to be there in person now. I ve called every single day for an update, twice a day asking to speak with the doctor since I am power of attorney and they have refused to call me back. I am extremely extremely disappointed in the doctors at this facility. Every day when I called the nurses tell me that they cannot interpret the test results, which I understand. They also tell me they have left a message for the doctor to call me with an update to discuss the testing and of course that has not been done
*PA called me today. Thank you

I'm sad to read so many negative reviews about this hospital because they saved my life and I am SO grateful to the staff and facility.....
Having NO insurance two friends of mine carried me into the ER at 4am because I was passed out and apparently having a heart attack (99.9% stenosis, right coronary artery, or RCA). Within a few hours the ER team found elevated hormone levels in my blood which is a tell tale sign of a heart attack. I immediately was admitted into the Cath lab where they performed angiography. I went 100% during the procedure. The team quickly placed a stent in the affected artery and sent me off to ICU. 0% damage to my heart. No trace whatsoever of a heart attack. I remember the pulmonary surgeons smiling and laughing and tell me that I'm the luckiest man alive because nobody goes 100% during that procedure.
Let's talk about the ICU. Private room, incredible nurses and doctors and quite frankly, smothering me with attention and care 24 hrs a day the four days I was there.
I did mention I had no insurance at that time, right? I truly believe that if taken ANYWHERE else they would have let this 40 year old die.

Thank you good Sam. I owe you my life and my heart......

My experience at Good Sam was literally terrifying. I was verbally abused by staff at night and therefore beside myself with anxiety and fear. The experience with my mother has been excellent by the hospital and its great doctors, but I only have something negative that saying Dr.amado anesthesiologist called beloved his treatment was not correct for the sole reason that my mother does not speak English, I ask how many years He had been in the country, my mother answered and told him why he didn't speak English. To a 72-year-old Latin person asking him that question, I think he was out of place and anti-professional, his job is to provide help to the patient and ask medical questions for that his life is in his hands, but not to question his roots and his idiona. otherwise everything excellent. very grateful. My mother's name is Nereida Taboada. She is still hospitalized in ICU.

I wish I could give a failure on time and service. I came in this morning at 2:44am for pain due to an open wound I'm been dealing with for months. It is now 5:49am and I have still not been seen by a Doctor. I was not even greeted. Not even vitals taken til 45 minutes ago. I've never been so angry at hospital service in my life. I'm going to hold my peace til I get home, call to let them know how horrible the service, and how tremendously slow the service is here.
WARNING DO NOT COME TO GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL FOR GOOD OR TIMELY SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm praying I don't loose my cool while waiting, and I did come in by ambulance. In which I regret. If I had drove, I would have been left and went to another hospital!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL!
If you have family here, get them out! I'M NOT KIDDING!

****Update, the Doctor just came to see or examine the wound on my leg at 5:52am, who nicely apologized and let me know, no one told him I was waiting to be seen???
I'm at a loss for words. ****

I went to the ER following a fall that resulted in...

I went to the ER following a fall that resulted in Neck fracture on Thanksgiving evening. My overall reaction is that there is a very good professional staf but they are exceptionally overworked and understaffed.
I have two concerns that I wish to express to management. First, when I went for MRI I was asked if I had hearing aids. Told her I put them in the pocket of my shorts. Okay, was her response and she removed my Apple Watch to a safe location. Tried the hearing aids the next morning and they weren t working. Chamged the batteries to no avail. I know they were working before I entered because I had not exited Google map and was still receiving directions. Since have learned that hearing aids can be damaged if in close proximity to the process, I recommend instructions be reinforced with imaging personnel. I may be in for a 4K replacement cost!

Second, discharge instructions and data. Dr. Burke, the neurosurgeon who reviewed the MRI diagnosed my fracture as stable and said the staff would be instructed to burn a disc of MRI for me to take to a doctor when I returned to my out of town home. Dis charge was extremely slow, 10:30 to 6PM. I was anxious to go and did not check packet. My nurse was so overwhelmed by her patient load that I did not want to burden her with anything else. The next morning did not find disc. As we had to travel back to my home in North Florida, I decided to send for it later. My decision. The medication ordered by the discharging Physician contained one that required injections by a medical person. The pharmacy changed it to a transdermal patch. This patch was also affected by two or more of my current medications on file. Also in discharge packet the diagnosis of my fracture is listed as unstable! More confusion for me. No I strays to what to take for the considerable pain, one that had required morphine every four hours while in the hospital. Fortunately, my google search helped.
The physical therapist recommended that I be provided with a walked upon dismissal. My nurse could not reach him as he had left for the day. She handled the problem.

I honestly believe that any errors listed above were not intentional, but aware a problem understaffing and consequent or communication. I have no malice with this facility or it s staff. I just hope management can help the staff maintain their professional manner and morale.

I wouldn t recommend anyone to go here. I went here twice for abdominal pain. My first visit it took them 2 hours to give me anything(medicine), while I was throwing up blood and crying from the excessive amount of pain I was in. The ladies that were taking my vitals were extremely UNPROFESSIONAL, they talked about not wanting to take in other patients ... and closing the ER because they were tired and wanted the hurricane to come so bad. After running tests, and giving me medicine through the IV, They rushed me out the hospital. Telling me other people needed the bed . My second visit was for abdominal pain AGAIN. When I got their it was the usual two ladies both EXTREMELY RUDE... I was throwing up and bending over from the pain. They insisted on me sitting up straight; knowing it was an issue. When I got to the room a STUDENT and TRAINER were going draw blood. The student took about 20-30 minutes to come. I DID NOT WANT THE STUDENT TO PRACTICE ON ME. While waiting I wouldn t stay still I kept shaking. When the student finally came she did everything WRONG. The band was so tight around my arm it started to become numb, I let them know and they kept saying JUST A SECOND . The student poke me about 3 times, causing a aching pain in my arms, until the TRAINER tried. I Tried to aware the EMT of the fact that my veins are small but they said it was because I couldn t stay still. A nurse came in and told me if I didn t stay still I have to leave. She yelled at me saying well you don t wanna get better, just stay still or I m going to discharge you . The Trainer finally succeeds but I throw up in the process and the nurse yells at me again. I broke down crying and ask to speak to the director or whoever was above, all the individuals in the room, An EMT stated that the nurse who told me to leave was. I let her know I was very upset before leaving the hospital, with NO TREATMENT. I drove to another one and luckily made it before I passed out in the hallways, from dehydration and overheating. I was scared I was going to lose my life that day because a nurse throws me out the hospital for being sick. The only reason I gave two stars were for the Male EMT (TRAINER) he tried to reassure me I was going to be okay when I throwing up and when I broke down.

From literally the Good Sam parking lot, whereas when I asked the young woman that had hospital scubs on, " Can you please tell me where the elevator is and what floor admitting is on?"
She not only Nicely answered my inquiry she actually took the Time to escort me to the floor I needed to arrive on AND to the office where my appointment was!
She bid me well and went upon her day!
Immediately the staff in the office responded to my appointment , signed me in, and walked with me to the next floor to be admitted for my procedure.
Once in the process of preparing for a medical procedure, the nurses assigned to my bed were friendly and asked me several times to verify pertinent information.
The anesthesiest introduced himself, and explained the procedure, asking me if I had any questions.
Some of the Nurses: Debbie, Carolyn, Carrie, ( a medical intern).
Carol even took me to my vehicle parked in the parking garage via wheelchair after the procedure and clearance was given to leave the hospital with my beloved daughter for whom stayed the course with me throughout.
Thank YOU to ALL of the Professional Medical Staff for creating a comfortable, less stressful experience last week.
I will always remember your kindness
Also, several days later, Stacy called to " follow up" on how I was doing after the procedure.
Stellar! We Need More Medical Centers like Good SAM in WPB Fl.!

I had a LP Shunt put in on Friday. I came in through the ER dept. Dr. Lauren Schwartz had me admitted and performed my surgery flawlessly! She is incredible, caring , listens to her patients and is amazing on follow up at the hospital. She had me in ICU when I got out and my nurses there Kurt, Nancy and Fiorella were amazing!! I can't thank them enough. When I got to my regular room on Saturday night John was my nurses. He was very attentive and reminded me of my son. My Doctor Lauren Schwartz and those 4 nurses made my experience at Good Samaritan Hospital amazing!!!
If your in need of a awesome neurosurgeon you can't go wrong with Dr. Lauren Schwartz!! Also if you can request nurses ask for those above. John was on 3rd floor telly unit. Kurt, Nancy, and Fiorella were in ICU.
Thank you Good Samaritan for your amazing staff!

Good Samaritan billed my insurance $3,800 for a broken toe that all they did was take an xray and tape the toes together. My insurance negotiated the bill to $1,500 which is still beyond ridiculous for what they did.

Do not go to this hospital if you have insurance. Everyone in the ER with me did not have insurance and clearly won't be paying the ridiculous bills this place charges. This hospital caters to the uninsured. Next time I will make sure to drive or be taken to a hospital in Palm Beach Gardens where the doctors actually give a damn about their patients.

Appointment was made on October 8 for a breast biopsy and a MRI October 20. Showed up for appointment only to be told I am only scheduled for a breast biopsy. After 20 mins of back and forth about the MRI (I was 100% sure my Doc order a MRI), I was told the order was ONLY for a breast biopsy. The nurse that prep me was initially rude upon greeting me, because I was late getting to the exam room (even though I was on time for my appointment). Her exact words were WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? I WAS GOING TO CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT. I told her I the front desk was trying to confirm if I had a MRI order. Her reply They could have asked me. You are only having a breast biopsy done. Why do you need a MRI anyway ? Even though she had my chart with recent test results and family history right in front of her. She was much nicer though when the doctor came in the room. The procedure is supposed to be the most painful part, but it was the easiest for me because of the AWESOME DOCTOR who performed it. She was friendly, informative and the biopsy was over before I knew it. I called my doctor office on my way home, and was told that the order was ALSO for a MRI. When I called the hospital with this info and to set up another appointment within that week, I was told by the scheduling department that the original order was in fact for both the biopsy and MRI. No apologies or admission of mistake on their part. Not even the courtesy to fit me in the schedule that week. I was told NO, we do not have anything available this week (even though they screwed up my original schedule/order). I have to wait another month before I can be scheduled. Simple error like that can make a HUGH difference in a patient treatment. I could see and hear the sighs,
annoyance and the attitude in these ppl faces and voices. I will not say ALL, but some of these ppl do not care one bit.

I was scheduled for a colonoscopy today, went through the awful two days of prep drinking straight Gatorade and laxatives, took a COVID-19 test 5 days before the procedure, and 3 hours before the colonoscopy, on the day of the procedure, the hospital calls me and tells me they are not contracted with my insurance. This is 3 hours before the procedure is scheduled to begin. I had someone drive up from Miami to take me to and from my procedure. They let me come in for a COVID test and scheduled me for an invasive procedure without even checking my insurance, and called me THREE HOURS before it was supposed to begin to tell me my insurance was not contracted with them, and instead I would either have to pay out of pocket $1500+ or re-schedule the procedure, go through the awful, horrible prep with the gatorade and laxatives all over again for two more days, and schedule the procedure at a different hospital that took my insurance. I told them several times that the hospital should pay for the procedure and write it off as a mistake, because it was their mistake, but they refused, and even tried to pin it on me and my doctor's office by telling me I should have made sure with my insurance company they were in network before my doctor scheduled me to have my procedure there. It is their job to contact my doctor's office if they do not accept the insurance. They had my insurance info for over a week and only called me the day of my procedure to tell me what they should have told me over a week prior. It was so mishandled. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any hospital, ever. It was completely, horribly unacceptable and I don't know how they sleep at night after treating a human being like this. I would file a lawsuit over this if I could for the hell I have been put through in going through prep for a procedure only to be called 3 hours before it begins that my insurance actually won't pay for it. UGH! So unprofessional. Go somewhere else.

Brought my husband in for surgery this morning. W...

Brought my husband in for surgery this morning. Walked right in. No questions about COVID, no temp, was whisked into a room immediately after another patient exited. No cleaning or disinfecting. Still no COVID questions. No social distancing from intake people. While prepping my husband for surgery two nurses took turns. The one nurse did not wear gloves as she did an IV!! While he was treated very nicely and professionally, I was amazed at the lack of PPE. As the ungloved transport took my husband to the surgical wing three hours after we arrived, I was stopped while my husband was wheeled away. After a lengthy phone conversation, the attendant asked me the COVID questions and took my temperature. I had to rush to say goodbye to my husband. Thank you to the kind woman who insisted that the attendant screen me before her. I sat in the waiting room from 11:00am until after 5:00pm and stared at a sign that says For your safety, this area is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized throughout the day. Not once has anyone been in this area and cleaned. I went to the restroom and it was disgusting. I walked out without using it. I am appalled at the lack of precautions for COVID. I will not be returning to Good Sam for medical treatment. I am concerned about leaving my husband here overnight.

This is a terrible hospital. I came here because of a complication with a long-term illness, and due to their rules and regulations I was stuck in a hospital bed for two days before a specialist would even see me. Upon seeing me, this specialist began to treat me for something I obviously did not have, and made me worse. They refused to do tests or administer new medication without approval from my primary care physician, who was unable to visit more than once a day. On top of that, what little medication they would give me did not work and I had to argue with the nurses about when I was supposed to be getting it, despite explicit dosage and timing instructions written on my board. After four days, I was transferred to a different hospital at which I was immediately seen by a specialist, proper tests were run, and less than 15 hours from admission I was being rolled into surgery. I'm not exaggerating when I say I fully believe I'd have died had my family not had the wherewithal to move me to a different hospital. Never, ever go here.

Recently my best friend's mom was brought to the hospital for trouble breathing due to throat cancer which has returned. They have been doing their best to remain optimistic in such a difficult time. She was recently given a feeding tube because her throat was becoming too narrow from the tumors and a trach was the last thing she wanted. When she arrived, she was brought straight back to a room where she recieved great care from her nurse Cheryl, Dr. Vasquez and the rest of the staff. It soon became obvious that something needed to be done about her airway. Dr. Olsen ENT came in and assessed her, was honest and recommend an emergent trach to be placed in the OR. Let me just say that his bedside manner, intelligence and just the fact that he didn't shame her for not getting the trach sooner gave so much dignity and humility to the situation. He was truly a blessing to have on her case and we couldn't be happier with the care recieved. The receiving ICU nurse Nancy was also great as she had many years of experience and did everything in her power to keep her out of pain. She got the most sleep she's had in two months that night thanks to an amazing group of people who went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you all again.

My father was at good samaritan palm beach for 14 day's on the second floor. I would like to give all of his nurses 100 star's if I could, I would like to list a few names of the one's that went above and beyond trying to help him even more. Espe, Viviana, aaron, trecei, debbie, leslie, lindsey . His cna's were also great, the cleaning ladies were respectful and very attentive to anything he needed. I would like to say the young man who came to get him for his scan's and xrays a few times was extremly nice. Over all the second floor staff was the best ever and you can assure they are in the right field of work, and made the correct choice to go to school for it , having a degree doesn't makes you a
nurse with out having the heart, kindness, love and compassion the patients deserve and they all did.... Thank you so much second floor nurses you are florida angels..

When I arrived at this hospital I really thought it was a wonder, I came for a complication of hernia, they made my tomography and they detected that it was of operations, they gave me a room with very good conditions only for one night, the next day they put me in pre in which I was about 5 hours before the operation and when I left the post surgery, they took me to a room that is 296, which is really disgusting after yesterday, I had not spent 48 hours of my oppression when they wanted to throw me out of the hospital with a lot pain had not gone to the bathroom and practically without eating anything and with many nausea for a rehabilitation center. For me that is not the treatment or the method to follow after an operation.
