I am very happy with our YMCA. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I am always running in to people I know from the community as well as the people I have gotten to know there. It feels like home to me.
Great staff and equipment. Cardio, swim, and lift. They have something for everyone. Programs for adults and kids! Stay motivated.
The first thing we did when moving to this area was join the YMCA! Little did I know it was an excellent decision for many reasons! Not only were we able to immediately get our kids involved in sports and physical activity (including swim team for ANY level) was that involvement in the YMCA opened up many opportunities for us to meet new friends! The majority of the people we call friends are members of the YMCA! Jump in... you can't go wrong with a membership to the Waynesboro YMCA!
I have been a member since I moved to Waynesboro 11 years ago. It is a gem in the community! It won't compete against the facilities possible in a city of 2 million people, but it does a remarkable job of supporting and being a part of the community. Great staff, great programs, and great focus on the YMCA mission. In regards to the negative reviews...my experience has been the exact opposite on all counts.
Our family joined here a few months ago after we moved back to Waynesboro. We are blessed to have such a well run YMCA here in town. The Y is not only a place to work out, it is a hub of our community.
I have been a member of the Waynesboro Y for over 40 years. I worked at the Y as a camp counselor as my very first job. The Y has always been a wonderful place! Many friendships I have now were formed there. Jeff Fife and staff do an excellent job and Waynesboro is truly lucky to have such a great place!!!

Obviously a fan . . . but I'm more than an employee. I'm also a participant. I utilize the fitness facility, take group fitness classes, play sports, and sign my children up for Basketball, Swimming, & Childcare. My entire family uses and loves the Y. I've lost 25 lbs since December and decreased by Body Fat. My kids have learned lifeskills through sports and all three have been in our childcare program which is the best in the region.
Staff is positive, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Always helpful and dedicated to serving the community. Great place to work out.

I grew up at the Waynesboro YMCA! I played basketball for many years and attended summer camp. I have many friendships today that began all those years ago at the Y. It's fun to see our kids there now, playing sports and getting involved in different programs. They do a great job with the kids. Thank you, Waynesboro YMCA!
The Y is a great place for activities for the whole family. From childcare, to youth sports, to adult fitness and recreation, it is the best place in the area to join, participate and to support. The organization truly cares about the community and work hard to make a positive difference in the lives of many.
We've been members of the Y since we moved to Waynesboro in 2001. It's a great organization! The staff is friendly and professional, the classes are great and membership is very affordable. The Y is an important part of our community, especially for kids from pre-school through high school!

Wonderful place! I recently moved to the area and am so pleased to have a Y with friendly staff and great facilities. I am always warmly greeted upon entering and have everything I need to work out. Definitely a family environment!
The hours of operation is different than it really is .. show up at 12 and no ones there.. go at 9pm says dont ckise till 10 ...no ines there . otber than that love it

Waynesboro YMCA is a great place to work out & take group exercise classes. Excellent instructors -- I recommend going to Margee's Zumba class if you want to sweat & work off calories while having FUN! It's a total dance party. The Yoga instructors are also very high-quality. There are many other offerings as well, especially for kids. Check it out!
My husband and I grew up going to this YMCA and we are proud that both of our kids are growing up going to it as well. Our son participated in the basketball league and we could not have asked for a more positive experience for him. Our daughter is a SMAC swimmer and loves every minute she spends at the Y. The employees are top notch and have always treated our family with great respect! Great Job Waynesboro Family YMCA!
