This park is one of my favourite running spots. Various terrain, beautiful nature and breathtaking views. The best time to come there is around 9ish morning in the summer, when is not that many people there and you can hear chirping crickets and smell fresh grass.

This delightful place holds the record for being the largest stretch of open countryside in any city on the planet. Bring your family, your dog and a picnic and come visit sometime, you won't be disappointed.

If you need a moment to escape the busy city Hampatead Park is the place to go. There are plenty of open fields, dogs running and playing, and people swimming in the lakes. Very different from any park in central London. Feels a bit like you are seeing the countryside. Best part is, the park is also located near plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops. Well worth the visit and thrbhalf hour travel on the tube.

Hampstead Park is located in North London. You can get there on the Overground (Hampstead Heath Station). It is an enormous, well-tended park. In summer people go there to have a picnic or even for a swim! Due to the limited amount of open swimming pools in London this is a great option during hot summers. There is one bathing pond for both men and women and another pond which is mixed. It is a different, fun experience one must not miss.

Possibly the best park in any big city. Less famous than Central Park, but much nicer. Awesome views of the entire city. Lots of peaceful nooks. Don't miss Kenwood House and the summer concerts are an experience worth trying at least once.

What a lovely hidden gem!! We went to the lady only lido at hamstead heath and it was fantastic! It was hard to find but we used maps. It was a roasting day so we looked out for people in swimwear and found it eventually.

Despite the very hot day the water was cold in the pond.t I didnt use the showers or changing rooms so cant comment on that.

We took snacks and wine with us but got told off for taking alcohol in by a steward.

The atmosphere was good very relaxed as all women. There were no kids so was peaceful and quiet.

VERY crowded. The bins seem to be cleaned on Sundays and it smells like death. Nice if you are nowhere near a bin in a secluded spot. Ladies/ mixed Swimming ponds not worth waiting for but apparently men's is ok.

Great family day out - play area and beautiful landscape perfect for relaxing walk as well as exercise. Not that many food options and the few present are also pricey so you're better off bringing your own picnic.

Beautiful countryside park with swimming in the ponds. The best park in London imo, in spite of the many many many annoying little dogs. It's a personal bias but they're a plague here because it's a posh area. ;)

Obviously! It is glorious.

Ducks and swans; dogs chasing sticks and running into the water; climbing trees; swimming; building dens... A rare adventure through nature for urban kids, and adults!

Hampstead Heath is a large hilly urban space, run by the Corporation of London. It has cycling paths, swimming ponds, fishing ponds, a running track, and plenty of open spaces to enjoy. Also incorporated is Kenwood House with its protected views of London.
