Beautiful place for walks and climbing trees. A great day out with friends and kids.

Beautiful place for walks and climbing trees. A great day out with friends and kids.
The mens swimming pond is worth a visit. There's an area where one can sunbath naked.
Brilliant park and Forrest. Loads of things to do. Has a lot of hills to climb. Has cycling lanes for cyclists. Very nice park and Forrest to get away from the busy life in London.
This place is so beauty you can swim ind enjoy the sun
Beautiful open space from which to view London on a sunny day.
My favourite nature/wilderness spot in the middle of London
It's a massive bit of land loads to do for everyone makes you forget that your in London
Beautiful park. Lots of places to walk and escape for the busy london life.
Hampstead Heath, though not exactly a secret, is well off the beaten path in London, and once you are inside, you can barely believe you're in the middle of a big city. The park itself is gorgeous and serene, and you can go for awhile without seeing anyone! Make sure to visit Parliament Hill for a breathtaking view of London. #Oktoberwurst
Great open space great walks fishing lakes wild life for legs and two lol
Room for everyone. Its very busy' but you can always fine a peacful calm spot. Xx
Ive been going to this park for years now and everytime i go it always seams to be a new adventure for me and my family. The house is wonderful and its a great place to sit down and relax.
Perfect place to get lost for the day and enjoy your surroundings.
A huge hilly semi forest/park area great for long walks or jogging. There are even separate swimming ponds for males/females
Great park to walk around, very windy at the top during winter
Erm. Lollies. Delicious refreshing ice lollies. And nice people.
Photos don t do it justice. Grateful to have this on the doorstep in 2020.
One of London's true gems - gorgeous scenery and a pleasure to enjoy
Beautiful and tranquil green area in London. Wide meadows and cool woods, this place is the antipole of busy London, and provide a great view over it too. Climb up to Parliamant hill to see the full London skyline.
Ideal for an afternoon out, for a walk/run/cycle/swim
Went to meet some friends on carnival day. Live jazz music and plenty of things to do. Fantastic park. Very big so make sure you don't get separated from the herd !
Lovely park. So nice to see such huge open green space. Easy to get to by tube or train. Great for families.
My favourite place in London, the views from the hilltops are great, worth a visit.
One of London's best parks as well as being one of the biggest. Hampstead heath is a great park with many quite areas and high points to see great views of London. Hampstead has many nice cafes as well as some great out door swimming ponds that can get buddy in the hot summer days. I recommend Hampstead as a great day out that's not to far from the very centre of the city.
Bar none, the best park/woodland in London. So huge with so much to see. Sometimes you feel like you ve been transported to a different time when roaming around.
Live in the area, great places to relax. Good playgrounds for children.
Beautiful views and plenary of space to wander and get a little lost
Makes London great. Follow a walk here on a Sunday with a roast somewhere local
Love the walks. Kenwood house with its masterpieces. A delightful cafe.
The views at the top of parliament hill and good park for running
Wonderful place for a walk or a swim on a sunny day. Take a walk to the top of parliament hill for stunning views across London
Beautiful scenery. Easy to escape the crowds. Would not recommend for less physically able people.
I discovered a lovely place in the heart of London.
This park was impressive and incredibly beautiful. It was massive, had while ponds for swimming, hiking trails, thick wooded areas, large open grassy hills, and a spectacular view of london!!! I will definitely be back if in london and would put it near the top of your list on a trip to london!!!!
Swimming, picnicking, picturesque landscape views of Central London... escape city life for an afternoon and enjoy Hampstead Heath! The Heath is a must-see for Londoners and visitors alike, and while my family were visiting form out of town we popped up to Parliament Hill. They cursed me on the steep walk up, but were so happy for the gorgeous view at the top. Other times I've come to the Heath to swim (there's a lido! And men's/women's/mixed bathing ponds!) so if you can't get out of the city on those hot summer days, you can still swing by for a quick dip. Lastly, picnicking. Yes. Just do it. Relax in the grass by a river or under a tree. There's plenty of space and you can't hear the sirens from police cars or ambulances. I love Hampstead Heath.
Sweeping views over the cityscape... From near Kenwood House...
Amazing vantage points. The public ponds are a great place for a swim. Love this place!
I walked for two hours around this park, then got some food and sat down in the sunshine and relaxed for another hour, didn't want to go home,
Loved going to the heath today with my puppy met loads of friendly dogs and people
Experience nature in the heart of London and meet interesting people (if you make the effort!). There are more of walks to enjoy and the it's Kenwood House at the North end.
One of the biggest park/forest of London if not the biggest. There are several lakes where you can even fishing or swimming. There's beautiful views from here to the city. Kenwood house is a must if you are in the area. Also good idea to visit the Golders hill park where is a little zoo and a nice cafe.
One of the best parks in London! Calm walks in the woods and fields, clear water lakes where you can swim, great outdoors for people and dogs! And some of the best views available in the city! Must see!
One of the most beautiful park spaces in North london. Really well looked after and joyful to visit.
Great viewing place. Very big park to walk around. Big enough to find a lonely spot too.
Can remember as a boy travelling to the heath early on a saturday morning to get to the pond and make sure i got the best possible spot to fish, my little fibre glass rod and small spinning reel, meeting other like minded young fellas and having a gudgeon fish off, biggest one caught the winner. That was 51 years ago, today i had to visit the Royal Free hospital and had parked on the hill down from jack straws end. I decided to climb a small grass hill up to take a look at the last pond, i had barely got to the top admiring the birdlife and some fish creating small vortexes out in the water thinking of years gone by, when BANG, Went my memories with this roar from down the hill, "OI MATE" you aint allowed up there its private, ya have to get out..A real shame how things have changed, no smiling happy kids anymore enjoying the heath for what its meant to be, a small bit of countryside brought into the urban areas....seems my old Dad was right when he said enjoy life when your young son as it don't get better.....memories.
One of the best things to go do in London for free. It's a beautiful space that you can spend hours in, with lots of lovely cafes and pubs in the surrounding high streets.
First time visit lovely place and surrounding shops, a must is LaCreperie of Hampstead OMG delicious had the chocolate one but loads to choose from. My other half recommends crepe suzette that's his fav
Stunning. Never been there before but was surprised by how beautiful it was. Went there for a photoshoot and got some amazing pictures.
My favourite place in London. With so much variety and peace. Enjoy walking to the Kenwood ladies ponds early in the morning.
A breath of fresh air, woods and nature in a chaotic city. Its where Londonders flock to chill and lose themselves in the belief they could almost be in the countryside. Have maps on Smartphone, surprisingly easy to get lost.
Famous place for rest out of London with natural forest and lakes.
Wow! We just love the Heath. No matter the season, the weather or the day of the week, the Heath provides a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle that is London. I've had picnics and walks and can truly recommend both. Have a nice time in the Heath, I sure did.
Great place effort walking with children and family.
As parks go this is a great place to forget about the city surrounding it, dense forests with large trees and paths.
One of the prettiest parks in London with a great view of the city. The park is perfect for a family day out. It has a forest, lakes you can swim in and it's perfect for biking. There is a restaurant/cafe and toilet facilities are also available.
