At the time of my visit (August 2016), there is a lot of ground works being done on the Heath. Contractors have erected fencing and hoardings around a large area in the centre which is both an obstruction and an eyesore. Unfortunately this is significantly detracting from the calm ambience of the area. Hopefully it will be out of the way quickly and the Heath restored to its original state.

Gorgeous and endlessly inspiring place! The quintessence of British Romanticism never fails to impress me with its beauty. Especially worth visiting the Kenwood House and Garden and Pergola Rose Garden. It is the best place to walk your dog and see most unusual dog breeds :)

Huge park with lakes and rolling hills. When you are deep inside this park you can't see the city. Its a place to relax and reconnect with nature. You are also allowed to swim in the lakes, there is a men's pond and a womens pond too. In my opinion, its London's best park, Hampstead (obviously), southend green and Highgate all surround it.

One of the largest parks in the city with the highest panoramic point within zone 1 and 2. Feels like a real wood in remote places. Kenwood House is not to miss along with other points of interest.

The parliament hill lido is well worth a look: it is a beautiful example of art deco style modernism.
The landscape of the heath is beautiful: lawns, meadows, ponds and woods make it the perfect place to escape the grimy streets (whilst also providing great views over central London).

This is a great park in north London. You would need several days to explore it all! We tend to stay around parliament hill for the views of the city. Lots of friendly dogs to meet. Perfect on a sunny day!

One of London's largest parks with lots of hilly areas, ponds and walking paths. Parliament hill is a great spot to stop at and take in the view of London. Definitely worth checking out the Pergola if you make it there.

It's not far from where I work and during the summer it's perfect for a long walk, and hopefully a swim, but the pond does get crowded, and there's a booking system in place due to covid 19.

Absolutely great. It's got natural swimming pool for men/for women and for both.
It's well know among the gay community, but attracts all other sorts of audience, just depends on the time you choose to visit the park.

My favourite park in London. Can feel tranquility and calmness, even though you're in the middle of the big city. It's a great place for nature lovers and people who enjoy long walks. The bonus is the viewpoint on London from the top

One of the best parks of London. Lovely picnic spots and beautiful refreshing ponds. The surrounding neighbourhood is quiet and littered with lively restaurants and cafes. Great place for a run or workout.

How do you review Hampstead Heath?! I grew up near it, spent many hours on walks here, have swum in its bathing ponds and now spend a lot of time running up and down it's hills. There's something for everyone, a country house, meadows and secluded paths through woods. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city
