I love this place. The Heath is the place to walk in the nature, have a picnic , go on a bike ride, feed the ducks or take a swim in one of the three ponds available while it is also close to places of cultural interest such as Keat's House and the Kenwood House. I have been exploring Hampstead Heath for more than two years now and I still haven't been to every corner of it. It offers a magnificent view of most iconic London skyscrapers, it has a running court and a kids play ground with a shallow pool. It's a beautiful place to spend a day with friends, family or just your dog! Plus there are some great pubs around and some impressive listed houses of famous people that lived around the park. If you visit London for a few days you definitely need to make some time to visit Hampstead and the Heath.

Ancient woodland managed by the City of London Corporation. And just like a supermodel, they put in a lot of effort to look like an unmade bed. Great place to get lost in the woods in the city. The Romans used to stand on what is now called Parliament Hill and look out on the Thames to see if they were being invaded.

Huge urban open space with lakes, open air swimming, playground, extensive walks, some superb views and access to Kenwood (not to be missed, plus it has an excellent cafe) . Good public transport access by bus and London Overground. I don't recommend access by car as traffic very congested and parking limited.

Beautiful park and amazing view on the city. A bit complicated access as you need to walk quite a lot from the Tube station, but worth it and Hampstead Village itself is really nice, so the walk was pleasant.
After you visit there, you'll recognize this place in almost every movie which takes place in London.
I was there in January and it was less impressive, must be really fun to come there in summer and in a sunny weather.

Nice space for peace and quiet near the park, which has inquisitive ducks and other wildlife around. Far enough from the main road to have tranquility, but not as so far as it takes a while to get to

Always a stunning walk with so much to do connected via multiple entrances in Hampstead.

The big draw is Parliament Hill, which of course has stunning views. But there is so much more, plenty of open spaces, gardens, cycling routes and walkways.

Perfect place to enjoy nature "eye-to-eye", if there is desire to run away from the turmoil of everyday life in the city. Also fantastic to explore its wilderness with the family or your loved one. Easily reachable from any part of London, it is wast enough, has nice wevs, big open areas and wild woods. Somebody comes to have a really healthy run in fresh air, somebody - to chat and to walk a dog.
The house is famous by its reach portrait gallery, library and beautiful dresses and costumes to put on an make photo to remember.
In the Brewhouse Cafe near the house you can taste great variety of sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and delicious locally made organic cakes. O, those cakes are really worth "five stars"!
So, please, come alone or come together and have time to remember!

I suppose anyone who lives in London has been to Hampstead Heath. What an amazing park, great to go running, lovely for a leisurely stroll, you can go swimming, take your dog swimming, see kenwood House that has a reasonable cafe and a good art collection. You can take in views of central London, walk up to highgate Village, head off to Kentish Town, check out Hampstead Village. Last time we visited there was an impromtu concert next to the ponds . In addition the place incorporates an ancient Forest!

One of London's great lungs. This is not a park. It is managed but is not cultivated. It has been left more or less in its natural state. About 100 yards into the Heath and you will think you are in the countryside. The sounds of the city disappear and all you can hear are birdsong and yet you are still in zone 2 of 6 London zones!
