Very nice, bright hotel, clean rooms, friendly staff - nothing to complain about.

Everything was perfect except for the check out: a 20min line in the lobby. For this kind of hotel it is inadmissible

Great Hotel! Located right in the center of Ghent. Room was cleaned perfectly every day.

Nice hotel and the place is very attractive beside the Ghent canal, food is very good and there is a variety of choices, the restaurant is in front of the canal which makes the view fantastic.
The lobby is good designed and there is a lot of couches to relax and the music is nice.
There are two kinds of rooms available, the canal view room which is amazing and the street view room which is not good because it s a side street.

The staff are extraordinary. Facility is new, modern, and elegant. Ghent is a gem.

Hyper center to fully appreciate the old Ghent day and night.

Good Hotel in the center of Ghent. The best without a doubt the location. You can walk everywhere. The room very well, good service, to dine at good restaurants that are close book in advance. Important to have rates that are 3 per day and you come by car the hotel parking which are 32. Only for the price you have, the poor bathroom. I had to ask for champoo, I asked for it, nobody listened to me. I had to go down to reception I asked for it, they told me that it was up and no case. I went back down and they gave it to me in my hand. In summary good expensive hotel.

Worst hotel experience ever. Bad sleep, weak food, extremely slow elevators. Windows can't be opened, A/C too strong. Broken toilet brush has not been replaced (for three days..). Woke up in the morning due to a drilling machine right above my room. At 7am. Nobody stopped that despite our and other guests complaints. I tried to address this whole feedback via the Marriott Ghent internet site, but no form offered, except for the "info@"-mail. Thus, I'm writing it here. This hotel is expensive and absolutely not recommendable.

Nice hotel in the centre of Old Town, but very expensive. Over 140 per night with no breakfast, another 25 each and parking per day of 32

Excellent service in a beautiful location. Rooms were clean. If you walk in from the canal side you will be staggered by the size of the place. We didn't eat in the hotel but a great stay.

Clean and welcoming. You walk out the back of the hotel and you're in a beautiful area for walking and touring.

Nice room. Great breakfast, restaurant, and front desk help.

This is a stunning hotel in a stunning location. Everything has been as near perfect as one could want..... except for the breakfast arrangements.

This was a pretty chaotic affair with lots of guests moving between the smaller seating areas and the food room. The kitchen is also connected to the food area, so there's staff passing through as well with regular restocking.

Unfortunately, the restocking wasn't as quick as the guests could consume food so there was often things missing, especially coffee cups and fruit juice.

To be fair, it was a very busy weekend with fantastic weather, so it was very busy.

Don't let this put you off though, the room was excellent, chilled champagne and chocolates in the room, really friendly housekeeping staff and great check in staff.

Would stay here again at the drop of a hat.

housekeeping just forget my room and i kept all day calling reception and "at you service" asking to clean it !! they showed no interest and they were really careless !! so disappointed from such service and staff from an hotel as Mariott !!!!

Good hotel, located in a nice place. You are in the center close to everything (Walking). But be careful the parking is very small. Also hard to arrive there with a GPS as lot of streets around are now pedestrian and close to cars.

Came in for a few drinks and the bar is very relaxed and the girl that served us was LOVELY The Cremant they have is very creamy, very nice drop. Very modern interior with fabulous lights.

Luxurious. Welcome in French. Grand and warm architecture at a time. In the city center. Ideal to discover big on a weekend.

Very high-quality hotel. Not only in terms of rooms and facilities but also the service-oriented attitude of the staff is an example of how it should be done. Nice!

Delicious a la carte in a beautiful setting. You will be served beautiful plates with tasty, seasoned, fresh products. A nice glass of wine and the friendly service complete the experience. Really recommended

The rooms were clean, a little on the medium side in terms of size, however. Right next to all the amenities that the city has to offer, as well as beautiful scenery if you pick your room right. Good breakfast service and amazing reception staff who were more than willing to help hapless American tourists find their way around Gent.

A great place to stay but avoid the hotel car park. Good 'on-street' parking is available 150m past hotel's rear entrance with a multitude of 'disabled' places.

Phenomenal location. You would be hard pressed to find a better situated hotel in Ghent. Continental breakfast is impressive with many fruits, breads, meats, cheeses, and other foods.

Stay here on two occasions and both times I was very pleased with the service and the location.

Great rooms ! they do serve the beer from the local brewery on tap and local gin. Amazing to see the inside of the hotel to be so modern while they preserve the outside facade.

The hotel is good but so expensive. The restaurant on the other hand is not great at all.

Great location, walking distance from all main sites in Ghent. The lobby was pretty cool the way the mixed the old and the modern. Also perfect location to enjoy the Gentsee Festee concerts and festivities. The only reason i don t give 5 stars is because for breakfast i ordered a la carte eggs benedict, and to my surprise they only put 1 egg on my plate, no one seemed to noticed until i complained to the waitress, then kitchen and staff made up for the missing egg.

Location is great! Service as well, wat we missed was an open window in the room ( only airco). The breakfast was excellent!

Can't speak highly enough about this Marriott. Every time I'm on town for work, this is the only place I'll stay. Staff is so incredibly attentive, lobby bar and restaurants are great, and the rooms are beautiful. Can't wait to return (again!).

Great location in front of a canal in the Old Port. An interesting combination of the old and the new. Excellent breakfast/brunch every day
