Very poor experience using the Gett app for the first time in Israel. Two drivers in a row accept our ride and start charging without picking us up. No single way to cancel afterwards. Customer service is not picking up the phone. Will delete this app immediately.

This service is awful. These are not independent drivers, they are taxi drivers. They prey on tourist and act like they can t find you so that you will cancel and they charge their fee. It is literally calling the standard taxi. Service is absolute trash and when you try to contact customer service, they act like they Only speak Hebrew.

First and last time I use this application.
At least in Tel Aviv
1) The driver confirmed that he picked us up15 min before he actually did it. So the trip showed in process while I was wondering why...and if he was actually ever going to show up

2) I was charged an additional 20us$ (50isl) for a fast lane we never took. Honesty is not the first feature that comes to your mind when you think of an Israeli taxi driver. But, I was expecting that an application like Gett would bring more transparency

3) The driver drop us off in the wrong airport terminal.

DO NOT USE THIS APP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS ALMOST ASSAULTED/PUNCHED BY A DRIVER TONIGHT IN TEL AVIV BECAUSE OF A MISTAKE THE COMPANY/DRIVER MADE AND CHARGED FIFTY SHECKELS FOR THE PRIVILEGE.

The driver connivingly, apparently, "cancelled" my reservation shortly after picking up (after a quick joyride around the block to keep me waiting outside my house a few extra minutes and jack up my fare...) and conveniently spoke no English. So while the fare was supposed to be being tracked by the Gett app the whole time, it wasn't. Meanwhile, the driver took every possible extra turn and slow/bad road he could to jack up my fare to a cafe 10 minutes away as high as possible, and, then upon almost arriving, decided to call Gett AT MY EXPENSE -- that is with the meter still running. At least the rep, Deen, spoke English, but he abjectly refused to tell me so much as the first initial of his last name or his customer ID number so I could least make a record of the call. Rather than apologizing for the situation or trying to make amends, this "customer service representative" proceeded to try and skeptically blame me for the situation I now find myself in with no cash in a foreign country and angry, belligerent taxi driver who just kept his meter running as I found myself desperately looking around at 4AM in a location I absolutely did not recognize. The taxi driver repeatedly tried to grab my phone from me without my permission.

Finally, he was shouting loudly enough, that I absolutely was not comfortable and tried to step out. He LUNGED at me, yanking my arm toward his body, trying to seemingly grab my phone out of my fingers, and almost decked me in the face. Thank God for the intervention of a local English-speaking art student who was able to calm this driver down and translate between us. Gett's company reps were of NO HELP and completely refused to take responsibility for the situation, failed to reassure the driver, and could not offer any kind of refund or other kind of constructive intervention. They couldn't even assure this driver he had been paid despite having my credit card details on file.

This driver should have had police charges pressed against him for attempted assault/minor actual assault and extreme physical intimidation and harassment of a passenger as a mean to getting money from them. And companies like Gett should not be in business anywhere.

I really hope Uber has a second chance one day in Israel. I will be walking EVERYWHERE for the duration of my trip and WILL NOT USE GETT. I have been to 90 countries, and I have not been so angry at a taxi driver or taxi company in a long time.

AVOID GETT. At least if you value your life or your money...

A shocking experience. There are drivers who are not qualified to drive at all. The last driver who drove me threatened me and violated the Ministry of Health rules, in addition to insisting on not running a counter.

You don't want to use a service that has hidden fees and allow the driver to charge you more over the total (of course, it is "legal" and written in the contract).
Go to Yango - at least they are honest and show you the real price prior to the ride

After few years of using gett I finally had enough and will never use them again!!

Don t use them from TLV airport - the NIS 160 fixed rate to central Tel-Aviv is a bluff. I m not sure even how it s legal. With the hidden fees it s NIS 175 which is 35 NIS more than the local airport taxi provider. Don t use Gett.

The drivers canceled pre-determined trips when they were not suitable, I ordered a ride to the evening before the trip. The pick-up was set at 7:15 AM, at seven I got a message that the driver was on the way, five minutes later, a system told me that the ride had been canceled and there was no other driver. They stuck me without a taxi and a plane in two hours. Do not order them !!!!?

Allowing customers to wait 3-4 hours in chat and even then not helping. Refuse to give a contact phone on Facebook. Disdainfully embarrass their customers and do not recommend at all.

I like this taxi service, but ..... Very often the app tells me it cannot find me. Once the driver stopped a half block away in the pouring rain and refused to back up. one the driver went to the Old City when I was in the German Colony. Today I tried to use their app to file a request for them to investigate a lost item. I filled out the form. Immediately vgot a thank you they would investigate. Ten minutes later cane an email request for more information. While I was filling it out I received another email. This one said the case was closed, but I could go back to the earlier email and send more information. While I was doing this I received another email that said they don't accept emails any longer and to download btheir new app so I could communicate with them by text.

A superb taxi service (am not sure why there are many bad reviews). I use the app often (in Israel) and it makes it extremely easy to order a taxi wherever I am or when all other taxis are occupied, and it's convenient to have the option to pay with a credit card.

Terrible company; they take no responsibility for their drivers trying to essentially steal money from people by blocking the meter and lying about the total charge of the ride.
There is another company that is more trustworthy than Gett.

I have used @gett many times and had no issues except this last taxi ride was a horrible experience. I input my address and destination which was the . The driver was following the gett gps and we ended up driving around Tzfat lost. I ended up paying double the fare and missing my bus. I have never ever experienced such an unprofessional ride where a 5 minute ride became 20 minutes especially in a small place like Tzfat and a major landmark like the central bus station. In addition customer service was completely unhelpful. They claimed that I should have known the way to the central bus station and directed the driver even though he was following the gett GPS instructions! It was shocking to me that a corporate company would run their company with such bad customer service and deception . I am used to taking ubers all the time in America and when I input my address in the app I always get to my destination. my concerns were always immediately addressed. This is how companies go bankrupt it s not about who is first to market or how many users but about the ability to keep users and outdo the competition. #Getttaxi @getttaxi

Update:After posting this review I received a 20 shekel credit. Although it is something it is not the resolution I wanted. I wanted a refund not a credit to spend more money on their platform. Also should not have taken so much effort to receive a credit.

This is a company that manages customer theft and fraud, again and again I find that it is disproportionately charged and not as instructed, there is no supervision, drivers cancel after 10 minutes of waiting in the rain, the only response of the company - that is not their problem.
Especially recommend moving to Uber

Plenty of good, decent drivers- but if you do have an unpleasant experience or miscommunication, do no expect an iota of customer service or credit on behalf of Gett. The passenger is almost always at fault and they are not looking to service their customers. Today I booked a Gett for a location 5 mins away, and since I had the trip saved in my searches I forgot to double check the address that popped up when I booked. I accidentally chose the same street but in a different city. The drivers I use always double check the location with me- this one didn t and I couldn t see his waze or hear him well due to the plexiglass shield between us (for corona) A few minutes onto the highway I realized what was happening and asked him where he was going- he said I don t know, whatever you plugged in! He couldn t get off the highway for a while and when he did, drove so manic I nearly vomited in the back seat next to my toddler. Gett said it was my mistake and He should take it up with me. He charged me half price of the full trip (80 nis) for his time and I missed my appointment. I think it s logical to double check with a passenger, especially if the same street within the city is a few minutes away. Most passengers aren t booking cabs on a whim for places which are hours away. He didn t speak English, I could barely hear him and couldn t see anything that was happening up front. I don t blame him for taking the money, as it was his time- but mistakes happen and Gett needs to learn from America how to treat loyal customers right.

The app does not have the option of knowing the price of the trip, it turns out there is no fixed price driving a passenger counter there like a turtle on purpose 60-70 kms on the intercity road !!!! I would pay half the price, if the driver is not willing to go without Mona do not travel with him !!!!

This Gett taxi service in Tel Aviv, Israel is a disgrace. The app is VERY basic compared to Uber, and also the quality of the taxis is generally lower (one taxi was literally full of garbage/trash). The worst thing is that we were ripped off twice by taxi drivers because they manually enter the final fare into the Gett app, it is not automatically calculated, so you have to also ensure that you take the paper receipt when you finish the taxi ride. Also, the Gett customer service chat is slow and buggy and ineffective... a colleague of mine forgot her phone in a taxi and getting it back was an absolute nightmare that took almost a full day.

From now on I will ONLY use Uber as the app is more advanced and at least you can properly rely on the email receipts that you receive. I really hated using this app in Tel Aviv and will tell all of my friends and business colleagues not to use it also.

Awful I came across such disgusting service only in Israel. Insolent drivers! The company in which I work called the taxi staff, it was the beginning of the first night. One driver refused to drive to the place where we were waiting for him, explaining that it was not profitable for him to take three people to three different addresses. And in the end, he transferred the order to another driver. And the second driver simply did not come, saying that he did not see that the order had been handed over to him and then refused to cancel it so that another driver would be sent for us !!! We waited 45 minutes outside waiting for a taxi and in the end had to re-order again !! I hope our company will refuse to cooperate with Gett taxi!

Nothing arrived, I get into the future trip 15 minutes before 7:30 to realize that the App did nothing and searched the next 15 minutes for taxi with no success. By by Get, forget my business. You failed once when most needed.

They took me to the wrong address despite me putting the right address on their search engine. The driver tried to confirm the address with me and it was all in Hebrew. I told him the name of my hotel and the city Ramat Gan and he kept saying something else in Hebrew. I told him whatever address I put in the app is where I need to go, he said ok My phone had already died and I couldn t show him. I tried to ask him to put it on his phone, but his phone was programmed all in Hebrew. After all was said and done they ended up charging me for two rides NIS 267 which is about $74 for a 25 minute ride. The driver took a full hour to take me back to my original destination, but told me I had to be charged doubled. It was not my fault but the apps fault and they refused to refund me one trip. They didn t want to hear my explanation. I d give them 0 stars for their poor service.
