Best attorney around. Geoff has text me from Atlanta, at 11PM while he was waiting for a flight, to update me on my case. He even took time out of his busy day io come to Norfolk General to see me when I was in the Intensive Care Unit from a totally unrelated accident. I was extremely impressed with the service I received from GMA! I interviewed a few firms prior to going with GMA and what impressed me the most in the beginning was that Geoff called me and spoke to me personally to answer my questions after hours. That was the level of service I needed when I was going through one of the worst times of my life. Justin, my attorney was extremely knowledgeable, ethical, honest, upfront and set realistic expectations around time and outcomes. Most notable is his Paralegal or Legal assistant Kara K. Kara was absolutely amazing. Her service was comparable to the Ritz. She responded to emails quickly, listened to me, communicated clearly, returned calls faster than expected and was the real MVP of the bunch. I hope I never have to use their services again, because who wants to get hurt, but I would whole heartily recommend this firm.

Geoff McDonald & Associates were awesome! I worked with Mike and Betty on my case that originated in November 2012 and concluded August of 2014. I have nothing but praise for the entire team! Mike and Betty were always available by phone when I had questions or needed anything. They were attentive, but not remotely pushy, which is a difficult balance to maintain when you're talking legal representation. They followed up when they said they would, and never left me wondering where I stood.

I never thought I would be in a position to need legal representation, so when the time came, I had no idea what to expect. Mike Beste was beyond effective when it came to communicating, making sure I understood the process, and making himself available to answer any and all questions I had. From what I've heard/read, it is not unusual for clients to not speak directly with their attorneys until closer to court dates, and for clients to find that they are not a priority within large firms. That was not the case with Mike, as I was able to speak directly with him whenever I needed to, or had a question. My experience with Mike and Betty at Geoff McDonald & Associates was nothing but positive. They honestly made an unfortunate event, a painless experience.

In case my praise is not clearly indicative, they won my case, and exceeded my expectations in that department as well! My case was actually refused by another firm who verbalized that my case would be, "a difficult one to win." When I was seriously injured, I turned to Geoff McDonald. Paul Dull has helped me every step of the way. ...........UPDATE.....My case has been going on almost two and a half years, so now I have a litigation lawyer that barely contacts me regarding my case or to give me any updates. Trying to get him or my case manager on the phone seems like child's play. I was literally told that my case manager was in a meeting around 10am and then told the same thing around 3pm. I left a message and her voicemail said she will return calls within 24 hours. My lawyer has never even sent me an email, something Paul Dull always did, even if it was just to see how I was feeling. Right now I feel like my case is being pushed to bottom of the pile and they will get to it when they can, or when they feel the need to. This is so disappointing especially when I felt so good about my experience in the beginning. So at this point I guess I'll do what I've been doing this entire time SIT BACK WAIT AND WONDER. Im going to keep the 5 stars but only and ONLY because of my experience with Paul Dull but right now they are sitting at 2 stars and that's for the polite lady's that answer my the phones.

This firm was hired to work my wife's workers comp case against Walmart. Bill Carr was supposed to be representing her. For months we didn't hear anything. A meeting was set between Walmart, my wife, and Carr. They offered $2k. Carr and GMA didn't do as promised and get a second opinion. Come to find out they didn't even subpoena the medical records. They just took what Walmart's Lawyer had and that's it. While my wife had all the records proving her injury was as bad as it is. They pretty much agreed with Walmart that they didn't believe it was all that bad. Once my wife refused the settlement, it was another three months before hearing from them. And only because she called and complained to Geoff McDonald's secretary. Within a few hours she received a call from Carr. Supposed to be a confidential call between lawyer and client, but she was on speaker phone and others were in the room, which breaks the attorney client privileged. She was told she would get a call back the next day. But didn't. She called several times and left several messages to finally this morning be told they were recusing themselves from the case. She calls Virginia Workers Comp Commission to find out the recusal letter was sent to them last week. The same day as the complaint. These people claim to have your best interest at heart and to be professional and ethical. But all I see are multiple ethics violations and a lot of wasted time. All my wife wanted was for her back to be fixed. Now she is going it alone. These people are worthless. And you only got 1star because you can't put zero.

The Geoff McDonald & Associates Law Firm donated school supplies to the school where I teach. This was not something anyone at the school expected, but we all greatly appreciate it. We received pens, pencils, paper, book bags, notebooks, glue etc. These supplies will help the students at my school be successful this year. His law firm rushed me into a settlement and I've called them numerous times and no one will call me back.
Since the settlement, I have had 8 more spinal surgeries. It started with L4 through L5, now it's from S2 through T8. So basically it's from my tailbone all the up to my shoulder blades. If I weren't rushed into a settlement, all of these surgeries would have been taken into consideration.
